I bought this bra at a boutique. I wanted something lacy that would be comfortable for regular wear. I'm starting my bra collection over in a new size. I tried on the Imogen Rose along with a few Curvy Kate, Panache, and Freya styles. This one had the loosest band; the Panache styles had the tightest. The bra fits in the cup. It's not my favorite, but it was $20 less than some of the others I tried on, so I got it. The bra is a little torpedo-ish for me and because the band is big, I'm wearing it on the 2nd hook to make sure it ...stays in place. The gore floats a little at the top because of my close-set breasts.
I did have to make a very minor adjustment to it - the side boning is cheap, overly flexible plastic that bent too much instead of staying flat. The sales person said that this was an issue with some Pour Moi styles and that they usually suggest taking the side boning out. The boutique had an on-site seamstress who handled bra repairs and alterations, so they took out my boning and didn't charge for the extra service.
Here are my thoughts after wearing it a couple of days: The band is definitely too big because it rides up in the back, even on the second hook. The shape is not the most flattering. I feel like it makes my breasts pointy, but also makes them slope downward. I really prefer rounded shapes. This is the only bra where I've noticed my nipples come far above the mid-seam of the bra. It looks a little weird to me. That said, the embroidery is pretty on the bra and it is lacy/sexy.
For me, it's very meh. I can wear it on a tighter hook, but it's really not a bra I love. I might consider taking in the band a tiny bit so I can get longer wear out of it. Read more 225 more words
I love this bra! It is easily one of my absolute favorites. The cups do run a bit small, I have a 38H coming from Amazon now. Even with the smaller cups (slight quadboob) it is extremely comfortable, the satin and lace are both very very soft, it gives great lift and separation...The best separation I have ever gotten from a bra!
Of course, now that i am in love with it, it seems as though Affinitas may have discontinued it! *sobs* I can't say enough great things about this bra. If the 38H solves the minor cup issue, I plan to buy one in every color..maybe even a couple duplicates for back up!
Cups are at least 2 sizes too small; the gore is at least an inch away from my sternum, maybe more. The outside wires hit my upper arm when I move my arm - unsure if it's because it's too small or because it's doesn't hold its shape well. The band is very stretchy but seems firm enough. There is no wire on the side under the arms and this area buckles - but not sure if that is the bra or that tissue that belongs in the bra is there instead. Shape is very flat on outside of bra and bottom of cup. Top of cup and side near gore seems slightly rounded, but again, it's too small, so unsure how rounded. Moderately projected; may be fuller on top than bottom.
cups seem to run a bit shallow, I ended up throwing an extender into the band because I probably needed a bigger size all around in this bra, runs small in comparison with the other bra I tried from this maker.
A pretty basic black lace bra with a slight east-west shape. This one is pretty snug all over, especially compared to the Pour Moi St. Tropez Full Cup (PM-7702) that I've worn before. I'd say it's more like a 32J. This is a perfectly serviceable comfortable bra, just a bit too small for me all over.
I don't know what to think about this bra. I kind of love the quality and the immediate projection at the bottom, but I don't think I'd be able to find my correct size in this brand.
BAND: Slightly tight for me. Curves down at the fastenings WAY too much for my ribcage/back shape. To wear one that fit properly, I'd have to angle my fastenings/hooks or alter the angle of how they are attached. WIRE: Slightly too wide. Super strong. STRAPS: Dig into arm creases. Too wideset. Seem sturdy. CUP: Fits at base. Floppy on top. Way too tall for my boob. I think it's supposed to be a balconette, but it's trying to crawl over my shoulder.
Aesthetics: Very pretty. Subtle embroidery on cups. Pretty lace.
I will probably relist it after I get pictures of it.
