I knew this would be too big, but I've wanted this bra for a long time, and I couldn't resist the sale price. I figured a little too big is better than too small, because, if needed, I could always wear push-up pads. It turns out I don't need push-up pads though, because this is not as "too big" as I expected it to be (meaning these cups run super small). Parfait is a line that understands shallow boobs, and I think it's become my favorite bra brand. Sofia Vergara I'm not, but this bra is sexy and comfortable and great for romantic evenings.
I decided to try this bra after trying the half cup version. The bra itself is very attractive and I'm a fan of the eyelash lace details. There is a charm in the centre that is a nice finishing touch, but it was not stitched on properly and came loose.
Fit-wise, it's not ideal for me. It's about 1-2 cups too small. I'm having problems filling the bottom of the cup because it's too shallow in this size. The wires are also too narrow and is sitting on some tissue at the sides. The gore is spacing is too wide for me and sitting on quite a bit ...of centre tissue. Sizing up to a 30G may help with some of these problems but likely not all.
Other specs to note: the straps are not fully adjustable but this is due to the lace detailing on the front part of the strap so it appears to be a good compromise, especially if you don't need to adjust it too much higher. The band can stretch quite a bit but it's a snug elastic. I've never worn this for longer than a few minutes to take pictures, so I can't comment on whether the band wills stretch out. If it's anything like the bands on my other Parfait bras, it won't easily lose its elasticity. The satin cups are more sophisticated than the fabric covering on my Decos.
The tag size on this bra seems to have little to nothing to do with the actual measurements of the bra. It originally fit more like a 30E, but I loved how pretty it was (and didn't know any better), so I wore it long enough that the band stretched and I could breath in the bra. It still leaves deep red marks though, and after some breast tissue migration it looks ridiculously small. But it is very pretty, and well constructed- after a year of heavy use, it looks like it could be new- so if someone wants to suffer through the guesswork of finding one that fits, since there's little to no correlation between tag size and fit, it could be a very nice bra. Great price for a bra in this size range, too, since most of the other ones I look at tend to be $80+, and IIRC, this one was under $40.
I've really had to think about how to review this bra. It's so pretty. I've tried this in 30FF as well, so you can check out my review on that one as well for more of the detail information. This is the only Parfait by Affinitas bra I can say I don't care for. The center gore does not sit flat. I don't know that even if it was offered in a GG cup it would fit right. Adjusting the straps messes with the fit of the entire bra. On every other Parfait bra I own, the straps connect to the ...band at the back with a ring. This one the strap is directly connected to the band, so any adjustment changes where the lace in the front sits, and where the band sits, so in my opinion, if you can't wear it with no adjustments, it won't work at all. I'll be keeping it for now, but I don't think I'll wear it much at all. I'll keep it around for a boudoir bra when I want to go for a bit of manipulation https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> Read more 93 more words
This is a very beautiful bra by Parfait by Affinitas. I wanted this to fit so badly! It's not an everyday style of bra, more of a boudoir bra in my opinion. There is beautiful lace detail on the straps, which makes me wonder how sturdy it would be if worn regularly. The lace detailing goes along the top of the cup, and around the bottom of the cup. I purchased this in black and purple and the purple lace really pops. There is a rhinestone ball at the center gore with a tassel detail that is very pretty. This is the padded cup version of the Tamara. I have put on a couple of pounds, so I'm sure that is playing into the cups being a bit too small. I think a 30G would be a better fit for me.
