    Didn't fit

This size is 30G and I am a 28H/28HH. There are many things wrong with this bra and my fit. I first want to clarify that these are problems because I got the wrong fit for my boobs. It is not the bra itself!!

Right off the bat I’m going to mention the main problem which is the wings and band being too small. On the sides of my boobs, the wings cut into my breast tissue and is quite uncomfortable.

Regarding the band, maybe it’s because I haven’t worn the bra a lot, but it seems way too tight. The back of the band is higher up on my ... back than it’s supposed to be. The underwire on my ribs dig into my skin. And lastly, just taking the bra off is a huge relief. It’s not that “wow this is so satisfying” kind of pain but that “I felt like I couldn’t breathe with that thing on— thank god it’s over”.

There are other issues like wrinkling at the top of the cups and gaping under the straps, but that is a common theme I see in my bras (I only own old ones that don’t fit me, so I’m unsure if it’ll be fixed in ones that do fit).

Now, after all the bad, there is good. I think the style itself is very beautiful. If I had the right size of this bra, I think I would like it (though the gore does seem a bit too wide for my liking). The design of the bra and the shape it gives my breasts is something I like.

  2. Tess Unlined Bra (5022)

I did not want to give up on this bra. I have been searching for an unlined bra made of a knit or cotton fabric that wasn't absolutely hideous. This is pretty much the only one I have found so far (someone, anyone, help me!!). I ordered it in the size that I have had the best luck with at my current weight first (30FF). With the 30FF, the top of the bra cut into my tissue, so I ordered the 30G. I think the fit is pretty great with this one BUT there is a wrinkle on the seam on the right cup. This makes me wonder if the cup is a little too large in this area with a bonus of looking like a nipple through Tshirts. Hmmm. I am not sure, but I want to like this bra so much I might just walk around looking like I have headlights.

Just to say, I can only see it on the t-shirt shot because you mentioned it and I am looking for it.

I see what you're talking about on the bra but not the shirt picture. Otherwise, this looks really pretty!

There's the Flirtelle Leila Balconette Bra (7301) which is made of a cotton blend knit. There was also the Claudette Cool Cotton Underwire Bra (CD8008) which is discontinued but there's a few listed here and a few on eBay.

  3. Leslie Contour Bra (6501)

    Didn't fit

I think it's time to face facts that some bras may be just too wide for my frame and this is probably one of them.

First off, I feel kind of silly for not realizing that the Leslie Contour Bra does not have seams up the front, like it appears to have, but is in fact, lightly molded cups. I thought I did my research on this one, but apparently not enough. That vertical seaming you see on the front is pure decoration. Had I known that, I probably wouldn't have ordered it. Not that there is anything wrong with molded cups, but I have a couple ... that I am happy with, like the Cleo Karen and the Freya Deco and Taylor models. I wished to experiment with cups with vertical seaming this time around. I guess the moral of the story here is you can never do too much research.

So, this bra. The band is a *firm* 30. For once, I am using the last hooks. I'm not being strangled or anything, but I'm between sizes at 29.4" - so if you are like 31" in the underbust area, you might want to go up a band size or use an extender.

The cups are wide and roomy. They enclose my sideboob areas fine, but the wires go up a little high in the armpits. Not enough to be uncomfortable, but just enough to be potentially annoying. It becomes more noticeable when I have the cups pulled up in the proper position. There is some gapping, but after an agressive scooping and swooping, the cups are definitely filled out. Well, enough so that the gore no longer tacks to my chest. Oops.

I feel like I would like this bra better if the cups came closer together or were a touch less wide. Right now they give my breasts lift but they are still spread out. It's like the Leslie is trying to do what the Taylor does, but missing the mark.

Things I like about the Leslie: the animal print pattern; I'm a sucker for patterns like this tbh. I like the firm band, but we'll see how long it remains firm. I really like that the band has three hooks instead of a wimpy two. Also! It has side support boning. So I might in the future try another Parfait By Affinitas bra, but with a different cup style.

  4. Charlotte Padded Bra (6901)

I'm been wearing 28FF/G lately and after hearing that this bra runs small in both the band and cup, got it in the 30G. I'm glad that I did, because even sizing up, the band was still very snug on me. The cups fit well, but I'm starting to think that my breasts prefer plunge bras over anything balconette since they are so close together. I mean, the center gore comes up really high on me, but it's still comfortable. The shape that this bra gives is very naturally rounded and gives you a nice amount of lift as well. It's a sexy bra, but the seams show under thin shirts. I'll mostly be wearing this with sweaters as a result.

I am very spoiled and find no bra super comfortable for a full day wear unless it is an Empreinte or Prima Donna ($150-$200 CAD price range) which is why I am parting ways with this bra. I believe it retails for around $60, and for that price, it is awesome.

It’s not perfect, but I am keeping this bra for now. Overall the fabric is comfortable tshirt bra material and the molded cups keep the fit issues from being apparent with clothes on.

The band is small for a 30, it can stretch that far but the wires bend open. The wires also dig into my ribs after a while. It’s plunge, but there’s still quadboob from center fullness especially with swooping & scooping. The cups are farther apart and wider than what I need. Creases are starting to form on the inside where my true IMF is.

I have two of these in beige, and probably will keep another in navy blue. This brown one has a band that is much longer than the beige one when stretched. I would have to wear it on the last hook. Also, the elastic sounds creaky. I wonder if this bra just got a bad band, or if they tried to make up for darker fabric usually having less stretch. In any case, I highly recommend this bra...but possibly beware of the brown ones!

Beautiful Bra; *Not* the Best Quality

    OVERALL RATING: 6.5/10
    DESERVING PRICE: £20-£25
BEST FOR: Wide roots; moderately projected breasts; back fat and armpit fat issues; moderately shallow breasts in large sizes; everyday wear; fibromyalgia suffers or people who need soft, comfortable bras.

Parfait Casey is an underwired, padded plunge bra with a flowery pattern and a lace accent. Overall, the bra is beautiful, but it suffers from some serious quality issues in the fabric and the sewing. It fits well for certain types of breasts, but could easily look strange on some breasts. I paid £27 for this bra with an RRP of £58, and I would say that the quality ... isn’t up to scratch compared to bras in the same price range. I would not want to pay more than £25 for this bra.

    PROS:
LOOKS: This bra ‘looks’ expensive from a distance or at first glance. The fabric is very soft and shiny, without looking tacky. The beautiful lace detailing on the edges of the cups is also very soft, flexible, and thin, so it won’t snag or scratch. The cups are a unique shape, which creates excellent cleavage for both fuller and shallower girls, although if you are very shallow this bra may not be for you.
COMFORT AND FIT: The entire inner-side of the bra is lined with a soft, comfy mesh-type material. The bra has a wide band with spaced-out hooks, which helps to smooth any unwanted back fat or armpit muffin problems. It has very wide wires, which are good for girls with wide roots or migrated breast tissue (breast fat underneath your armpits – creates a ‘muffin top’ effect). The gore is short. It’s wide at the bottom and narrow at the top, and very comfortable. It does feature a ribbon detail, which may be uncomfortable for some girls. The band is very comfortable. It’s true to size and firm, but not inflexible like the bands on bras like the Cleo Kali, for example. Although this bra is padded, the padding is not thick. It’s very flexible, so it will form around tight dresses and tops.
CLEAVAGE: This bra will give fierce cleavage for fuller, rounder breasts, and good cleavage for shallow breasts too. Close-set, projected, full breasts will get true ‘tavern Wench’-style cleavage from this bra. Projected breasts will look better in this bra, but shallower breasts will be comfier (due to the shape of the cups).

    CONS:
    QUALITY ISSUES
FABRIC: the fabric is a MAGNET for hairs and lint. Mine arrived covered in hairs. The fabric is also prone to snagging, and will arrive with some snags already.
SEWING AND THREAD: The vertical seam on the bottom section of the cups is over-sewn, so there is frayed thread in the middle-top of the cups. There is also some fraying on the edge of the gore, but it is mostly obscured by the ribbon. The sewing on the bra as a whole is not great – there are many loose threads all over the bra.
    FIT ISSUES
STRAPS: The straps are too far apart – they create friction burns against your armpits when you lean forward. The straps are also very badly sewn on (it almost looks as though they are hot-glued), so there is a strange ‘lumpiness’.
CUPS: The cups are very open at the top, meaning lots of gaping issues when you move. This will suit girls with very full breasts and people who are Full on Top, but shallower girls with need to swoop and scoop breast tissue often. Because of the shape of the cups, depending on the shape of your breasts, this bra can give you simultaneous gapping (near the straps) and quadboob (near the gore). You may find, if you are a shallower girl, that this bra gives you a strange type of cleavage. Cups can be very minimising and make your breasts look small, too, for the same reason (minimised cleavage). The cups are relatively shallow, so girls with full, projected boobies will want to SIZE UP, unless you’re looking for a bra to create really nice cleavage. For girls with projected breasts, this bra might not be a good everyday choice.
WIRE: The wire is very wide, so girls with normal roots will probably find a lot of empty space at the sides. The cup is very high, too, so if you have a short nip-to-neck distance, you’ll probably find that the wire pokes you in the armpits.
FABRIC/PATTERN: The lace MAY show through and deform tight and light-coloured shirts, but I have not noticed this yet.
GORE: This bra has a relatively high degree of cup separation (distance between the cups), which could be a problem for girls with close-set breasts, and may cause the gore to dig into your breast tissue painfully.

    ABOUT ME
I NEED BRAS TO FIT: wide roots, moderately full on top, moderately shallow; 30G-32FF

DISCLAIMER: I'm just at the beginning of my bra journey, so take everything I say with a note of caution!

This is the beige colour. I meant to buy 30F but it turned out to be 30G (for some reason it appeared both 30F and 30G in Bratabase, that was odd) . My usual size is 28F-28FF´ish. This bra fits well otherwise but the cups are too big. But not excessively big, I think one sup size down and it would be perfect!
The band is quite snug, it fits me well in the loosest hooks. My comfortably tight underbust is 26 inches.

Might I say that this bra is seriously comfortable! Wires don´t poke, and although the strap placement is too wide for me, even the straps don´t seem to scrathc me. I only wish the size was right! I will have to re-list this bra, please buy it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This is a review for the 30G Parfait Casey I have in the European nude colourway. Other than being a different shade than the classic nude offered by this model, there are two very noticeable differences in construction.

The most obvious difference is that the straps are much narrower and thinner than the straps in the classic nude version. They are definitely more slicey (my word for uncomfortable). The next big difference is the firmness and thickness of the cup. Though moulded, these cups are much thinner than the classic nude's cups. They measure the same depth and width, but the cup appears to shape the breast less as ... it is softer and thinner. Rather than lifting and rounding, I find that it has more of a squishing affect. That's not to say that effect is totally undesired. In my case, I do have some shirts and jackets that require a lower profile which the Deco and Casey classic nude cannot accomplish. However, the design of this Parfait Casey colourway does in fact accomplish that. But because the cups are thinner, it has a tendency to flatten just before the edge of the cup and then curl outwards, and the flattening does dent the cleave a bit. http://media.bratabase.com/cache/29/4d/294dc893bb8586fd905b367ceb161d22.jpg

While I do prefer the construction of the classic nude colourway, the European nude Casey has its place in my bradrobe. I just wish there was some consistency from the manufacturer. Another point to note is that the size tag formatting is slightly different that other Parfait bras I've own. Very puzzling.

    Color: Peach

30G is the same size that fits me in the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte Balconet Bra (6931) (one cup size up from my current starting-point size of 30FF). In this version? No! Should have gone with my usual 30FF.

Cups: The wires are on the wider side, although not the widest I've worn; the cups are reasonably deep and fairly open at the top (especially compared to the shallower, more closed 6931). Both wires and wings are quite tall under the arms; excellent for corralling sideboob and giving smooth lines under the arms and on the back. (Not a good choice for those with narrow roots, ... high roots or short torsos.)

Not a lot of room at the bottom of the cups for immediate projection. I suspect that, on me, the bottoms of the cups would crease with wear.

I'd try your usual cup size first in this bra; perhaps one size up if you're very FOT. (I have even fullness.)

Band: I found the wide band nicely firm, on the snugger side of 30 but not a full band size small.

Unless you have a strong preference/need for bands on the looser side, I'd give your regular band size a try first.

My current starting-point size is 30FF, and I had originally ordered this bra in 32FF because it was said to run small in both cup and band. My verdict: Cups, yes; band, not really.

Cups: I needed one cup size up for my even fullness; those who are markedly full on top will probably want to go up two cup sizes, since the tops of the cups are quite closed. (Actually, I'd strongly recommend that the FOT try the Parfait By Affinitas Charlotte (6901) padded plunge version instead, as it's more open on the top.) The cups are shallowish, but have enough room at the bottom to ... accommodate my immediate projection.

Wires: On the wider side, although not the widest I've worn. The wires are very tall under the arms, great for those of us who need that to corral sideboob and usually can't find tall enough wires. (Not a good choice for the narrow-rooted, nor the high-rooted, nor the short-torsoed.)

Wings: Also quite wide, giving me smoother lines under my arms and on my back than any other bra I've tried.

Band: I'd say it's nicely firm, but not a full band size small. I'd try your usual band size first, unless you need/strongly prefer bands on the looser side. It has three hooks in this size range.

I absolutely LOVE the look of this bra, so when I seen it on Ebay for a decent price, although they only had it in a 30G I had to get it! I figured that buying a 30G couldn't be to far off my size (I was SO wrong), as I read a review on Bratabase stating it was more like a 28G.

    Band-
The band is absolutely perfect on me, so comfortable, I have never worn a more comfortable firm band! My ribcage measures 70cm tight and 73 loose, and this band is 75cm stretched... so I will be looking for bras with similar band measurements!

    Gore-
Again, the best gore ... I have found. I usually suffer from gores really rubbing me, but this one sat firmly against my sternum and did not move at all!

    Wire-
The wire wasn't at all uncomfortable despite being the wrong shape (I say wrong shape instead of too long etc as it came up to a nice height, and enclose all of my breast tissue, but at the lower outside it didn't follow my breast tissue and went quite low before curving in).

    Cups-
The cups came up far to high under my arms and rubbed my armpits, but this could be due to the cup size being too big. I couldn't fill the bottom of the cup despite how far I pulled the bra up so it just must have been to shallow for my breasts (I assume they are slightly bottom heavy, but they spread over a lot of my chest and are sort of shallow and firm at the top so I'm not sure if I'd suit full on top or full on bottom style bras). The cups sat smoothly on my chest if I had correct posture, however if I twisted my body or slouched at all they would gape, mostly near the armpits.

    Straps-
I found that they were very far apart for a small band and uncomfortably dug into my armpits. I also think the wide-set straps contributed to the gaping of the cups as when I moved, my arms pushed the straps forward, pushing the cups forward.

I want to like the Charlotte so bad. It looks amazing and gives a great shape, but the fit it just...off. This bra is tricky to fit. The cups run about 1-2 sizes too small and the band is pretty loose for 30. The upper portion of the cup cuts into my breast tissue in an odd manner as well and had it not been for this, I could have forgave a lot of sins with this bra. I may have to sell this bra.

The band is obviously stretchy (by hand I can stretch it only to a 27) but it fits my ribcage of 31"! The tops of the cups pull away from the breast which I think is a flaw of the design (a very cute, flower-like top) which makes it NOT ideal for under most shirts/dresses/etc. Because of that I can only rate it as "Good" in the Bra Appearance section. However, under an undershirt it can work. It provides great uplift and doesn't really rub in any particular place.

This didn't fit me, but I wish it did! I've never seen another babydoll that comes in this size range, and it's a proper bra with the babydoll bit added so it's supportive as well as being pretty.
I'm usually a 28G and I'd say this one fits much more true to size than the Charlotte (the other Parfait bra I own, which I wear in a 30G). The band was definitely too loose on me, but I really need a 26 band so it's hard for me to judge if this is a true 30.

The cups are lightly padded and quite flexible. The band is nice and wide ... so it looks like it'll be comfortable, and there is a nice cut out section between the band and the body at the back. The lace edging at the top of the straps is very pretty. Petite ladies like myself may find the strap placement a bit too wide, and those with a short distance between their breasts and shoulders may find the straps too long, as they are only partly adjustable.

Some additional measurements: the chiffon fabric measures 52cm flat at the first point I can flatten it out fully below the band. The fabric part is 46cm long from the band to the edge of the lace.

This is a great alternative to Freya's Deco: http://bra.pe/RNp/.

I was hoping to find a better "nude" skin tone padded plunge as my Deco is too pale. Jeanie is more of a muted tone and Deco slightly more pinky but neither are close enough to disappear under thin tops. Rhiannon (http://www.bratabase.com/browse/fantasie/rhiannon-2222/) is still my perfect-nude albeit a moulded style. I am still searching for a padded plunge...

Jeanie's 30-band is a bit more firm than my Deco but still a somewhat loose. Deco fits and holds my shape where I am falling out of Jeanie in the same size. Although this is a very, very basic ... bra I am pleased with the padded plunge offering and minor decorative details such as the small center bow with silver heart. I sincerely wish this bra were available G+ as I've a hunch I would fit just a cup size up.

Take note: the straps are fully adjustable but are VERY stretchy!!! Typically I tighten approximately 20%-35% of the entire strap but I had to do well over 50% of these and found the strap sliders at the tops of my shoulders!

    Measured unstretched immediately before wearing.

The fit of this bra is comfortable, and I just love the color. Due to the lace detail on the cup, I usually wear this bra under a dark button up shirt or a shirt with a pattern. You may not want to wear this one under a tight fitting plain tee shirt. The band size is a 30, but fits more like a 28. This bra has 3 hooks in the back. The cups are a three part sewn/molded type of cup with flexible side boning. I find with this bra the top part of the bra kind of gives a flat appearance across the breast. It’s as if the lower part of the cups are not cut deep enough, yet the top of the cup is very open.

    Didn't fit

I love this brand because so many of their bras run tight in the band. This bra is in a 30 but it runs more like a much smaller band. It fits nice and firm on my 26" ribcage, stretching to 26.5" when pulled tight. I wish that Affinitas would bump up their size range because unfortunately the 30G does not fit at all. I'd love to wear it and may still any way.

The band stays nice and tight through several wears before washing. The seams of the 3 part cups are partially hidden by the black ribbon detailing. The side panel gives kind of a pull together even though this bra is listed as a push up.
