    Didn't fit

    This bra was one of the first bras I purchased to gauge how well bras close to this size would fit. I had read up on bra fitting, but I needed to try some different bras on to understand better and see what worked for me. This bra was inexpensive in like new condition and was one that seemed "popular" due to the large amount of reviews on this site/elsewhere. I use to like bras that had padding, but now I prefer Lacey unlined bras.

    When I got this bra, I ended up messing up the strap and tried to fix it for a few weeks. I tried ... to enlist the help of others, trying to twist and untwist it, and thought someone maybe altered the strap legnth or spacing to fit and then sewed it back wrong. I FINALLY found someone who managed to flip it around in a few different ways to straighten it out.

    The bra fit okay cup wise I think, though not exact when I first tried it on. I Have lost weight so by now the cups are a little too big, at least on one side. I believe this bra is too shallow for my more projected breasts. There isn't the massive amount of push up I am use to in my Victoria Secret padded bras, but its thick enough that nothing pokes through,and gives my breasts kind of a round shape. The inside of the cups have some seams that I wasnt use to in my push up/moulded cup Victoria Secret bras. I like the thick straps and the thick band. The tight band felt so relieving and my posture/slumped shoulders looked so much better than when I was wearing band way too big. (Which still amazes me with each new bra I tried with 28 bands. This band was quite comfortable. I like bras that have more than 2 hooks, this has 3 rows of 4 hooks each. It feels sturdy around my underbust. The thick straps also adjust enough for me and do not slide down. The wires feel a bit too wide towards my armpits, I need more narrow wires. The gore is slightly taller than my preference, and has a bow plopped on top which is alright. Having a gore that is too wide and tall pushes the tissues from my my center full breasts back out more east west direction. I Think I need plunge styles or overlapping wires that are more narrow. The cups slightly rubbed in my armpits and the gore dug into my sternum a little when I first tried it on, but a few weeks later it didnt dig as much.

    This purple bra is decent and an improvment on my older bras in a way, but not ptotally right for me. It kind of looks youthful, maybe it's the color, bans the big bow on the gore, it reminds me of the bras I wore as a younger teenager but with more seams inside the cups. I still prefer lace bras, or if I wear thicker bras I would rather hey look a little more mature.Ie

    Doesn't fit me--too big. I'm also wondering if some of the other listed measurements are older and they changed something in the newer ones, because it seems like I'm looking at a completely different bra than everyone else!

    Mine definitely has 3 hooks (trust me, I checked like 5 times just in case...) but all the other submitted measurements for this size say there are 4...

    The lace on this was just ridiculous. I cut most of it off and now it’s much more comfortable. I think I needed maybe a cup or two bigger though, I find myself a bit squished and spilling out of the top because of it.

    Though the print is a floral, it more reminds me of rocks under a stream. The outside cups are satin, while the inside is like a soft jersey cotton. This bra, in this print and more recent colour schemes have been compared to polish bras in their fit - fairly narrow wires, immediate projection and all the depth of a good partner (okay, maybe not that deep, but deep for cups) all lead me to agree - it's similar to my Comexims rather than my Ewa Michalak's in the shape it produces as well as the comfort from softer wires and well placed padding. Wide straps that allow comfort. It tends to make me feel like I'm wearing "boob armour" from how full coverage it is with moderate padding, and some days I just love that feeling - especially in winter.

    It’s not perfect, but I am keeping this bra for now. Overall the fabric is comfortable tshirt bra material and the molded cups keep the fit issues from being apparent with clothes on.

    The band is small for a 30, it can stretch that far but the wires bend open. The wires also dig into my ribs after a while. It’s plunge, but there’s still quadboob from center fullness especially with swooping & scooping. The cups are farther apart and wider than what I need. Creases are starting to form on the inside where my true IMF is.

    Charlotte has turned out to be one of my favorite bras in my current size, and I've collected many colors, but Dusty Rose is quite possibly my favorite colorway! Unfortunately, I only own this in a 30D, which has always been too small for me. Luckily, I found this bra in near-brand new condition from needboobwisdom, who happened to not get on with the shape.

    I am pleased to find that this bra fits exactly as expected. While I prefer the 28E in this style for a more snug band, Parfait makes very firm bands in general, so the 30DD works quite well ... and doesn't feel too large. The cups on this bra measure as expected, with no notable discrepancies although I have experienced some bras running a little larger or smaller in the cup than the others. Note that this is for the older version with the rainbow Parfait label, which fits me quite well.

    Dusty Rose is a beautiful matte cool rose that functions as a nude on lighter skintones. It is a very flattering color on me, and I hope to find more colors like this in other styles as they are more attractive than flesh-tone nudes while still appearing invisible under clothing.

    I am very happy to have this gorgeous colorway of Charlotte in my collection in my size, and will definitely be adding it to my rotation this winter!

    I have two of these in beige, and probably will keep another in navy blue. This brown one has a band that is much longer than the beige one when stretched. I would have to wear it on the last hook. Also, the elastic sounds creaky. I wonder if this bra just got a bad band, or if they tried to make up for darker fabric usually having less stretch. In any case, I highly recommend this bra...but possibly beware of the brown ones!

    I really like these Parfait bralettes. I think I prefer the Dalis because of the comfortable fabric and amount of support. But I will probably buy one of these when a color I like goes on sale in my size.

    I sized up in both band and cup, per previous reviews, but I didn't need to size up in the band. My normal size is 28G/30FF, and a 30G would be the right size for me in this bra.

    Didn't fit

    Parfait's unlined bras have been very hit or miss for me. Some of the early ones I tried in 30D (Sandrine, Irene) were oddly shaped and had very strange U shaped wires, as well as dubious material quality. However, I recently really enjoyed Ava, which is a side-support style that fits better than some of my Fantasies. I gave this one a try, but once again this was a huge fail. Marion has the same U shaped wire problem, but the biggest issue is that it is designed for very FOT, round shapes with a lot of upper projection. While the bottom of ... this cup fits, the upper cup is laughably empty. This seems really strange because my 30DD Ava fits just fine, the 30DD Tess is fine, and 30DD Casey Lace is just a little big in the cup, but mostly because it is too wide. I'm not sure why there is so much inconsistency in Parfait's unlined bras, but this is a disappointment.

    Marion is a rather tall balconette style with a tall gore. Parfait's wires tend to be on the narrow side, so while the wires here actually measure normally, the shape is a U that is flatter on the bottom and quite vertical on the sides. Thankfully, these wires have enough flexibility to stretch when worn, so it feels OK on. However, the cup shape is all wrong for me. This is a 3 piece cup with a 2 piece bottom panel and a very steep, perpendicular upper panel. The fullest part of the cup is quite high, and because of the width of the upper panel, it is very projected. Someone with a short and shallow breast shape like me would only fill out the bottom of the cup while the entire upper cup is laughably empty. The one positive thing is that the cups are constructed with full lining inside the cups, so that none of the seams are exposed. While the outside lace is quite soft, this would be good for people who have a hard time with seams or find lace to be scratchy. The upper edge is finished with a strip of clear stabilizing elastic that has some stretch, and the tall cups should be fine for tall roots without cutting in.

    The band is made from firm stretch knit and has a piece of plastic boning on the side for stability. This style didn't feel as firm in the band as most of my other 30DD Parfait bras, but I think this is probably because the cups are too big, since it measures the same. The straps on this style are very interesting, as the front portion of the strap is wide, tapered, and made from padded foam. However, the downside to this is that the adjustable portion at the back is quite short, and I'm not sure why they switched to skinny elastic in the back. The cups are made from decent-quality mesh-based floral lace with a satiny sheen, and overall all the materials are soft and good quality. The center gore has a stacked horizontal ribbon with a faceted crystal stitched on. There is a keyhole detail at the center cradle between the tall gore and the bottom of the cradle, which is lace.

    Overall this bra is thoughtfully constructed and shows several design details specifically for full figure comfort. However, the unique cup shape means that this is suitable for narrower breasts that are very FOT, round, and have a lot of upper projection. Round and wide shapes might have trouble with the narrow wires, and the cup shape and depth is not suitable for average, shallow, or non-FOT shapes at all.

    Fits

    (This review is for the newer version, with the purple Parfait label.)

    I started off trying Casey in my normal sister size of 30DD, but found that the cups were generally too tall and designed for a more FOT shape than I have, so I decided to size down and give the 30D a try. However, I am still getting the same issue with the cup shape being a mismatch, so while the fit overall is pretty good, I don't think this is the bra for me.

    For a 30D, this bra definitely measures closer to a 30DD. Actually, the cup depth is basically the same as the ... 30DD Black (new version) that I tried, but measures consistently 1 size smaller than the 30DD European Nude (old version) that I tried. The main difference is that the 30D has much shorter cups, which work better on my height and proportions. However, both 30D and 30DD fit in the new version, though the overall appearance is different.

    The wires still fit well on me in this size, since they come up high enough under the arms. The reason this bra isn't for me even though it technically fits is that the molded cup shape is very pointy and projected, so if you are not FOT, the cups will have this weird shape under clothing. If you are fuller on top, the shape becomes much rounder and more balanced, and looks great under clothing. So, I am not faulting Casey for the cup shape, but have accepted that it isn't designed for shallower on top shapes.

    I think this bra is designed for tall, projected shapes who find standard molded cup bras to be too shallow, but don't like the super tall cups of Freya Deco or Freya Idol. Upper fullness is necessary to get a rounded look instead of pointy cups. The deep plunge gives a really nice shape if you have upper inner fullness.

    I've been impressed by Parfait's quality lately, because I have been enjoying the quality of the materials and the fact that they are truly designed as a full-figure brand. Unlike the Black Casey, this one has normal medium width satin straps instead of skinny straps. Like all Parfait bands I've tried, the band on Casey is very firm and supportive despite being standard powermesh. The cups and cradle are made from matte knit tricot, and it seems to be a different fabric than used on the older version of this bra. I like the topped on lace at the outer cup, and the lace design seems to be consistent between both versions. It reminds me of the appearance of some older Victoria's Secret styles, though the quality and construction is vastly different from VS. A satin bow at the gore is the only decoration.

    Ruby Wine is a deep mulberry with brown undertones. It is suitable for warm-toned skin but looks muddy on my cool olive skin.

    This is SUCH a beautiful bra. I had it before in red in a different size prior to my breast reduction and wore it quite often. However, the band feels extremely firm - much more firm than my Parfait Lulu - and is kind of uncomfortable. As a result of the tight band, I feel like the underwires dig in under my arms a little bit. I also think the cup is too shallow for me. The ultimate killer for me, though, is the SQUEAKINESS. It squeaks every time I move, and my previous Parfait Charlotte Padded squeaked too, so I know it's not just this one!

    The band on this bra is anomalous. I have worn many different Parfait bras in a 30 band and they all stretch to about 30 inches. This bra, for whatever reason, falls about 4 inches short. The stretched band is just a hair past 26 inches, making this more of a 26FF than a 30E. Of course, once I looked up reviews I learned the Sandrine is known for this, but unfortunately I did not see those warnings until after receiving and measuring the bra for myself. As I wear a 28-30 band, this will unfortunately have to go back.

    I have to admit that I am not the target audience for Charlotte. My reason for trying this bra is solely curiosity, coupled with a discounted price on Nordstrom. I hate padded bras, Charlotte is quite projected in shape and I am shallow, and someone on Nordstrom described this bra as "a Halloween costume for a character from Pirates of the Caribbean." I hoped this was unnecessarily harsh judgment from a disgruntled customer, but she was spot on. This bra is totally not for me.

    Yes, I can totally see why this might remind someone of a campy lady pirate. The bra is extremely ... structured, and the cups are made from a very firm foam covered in heavy satin. Potentially sweaty satin, depending on the climate--I doubt you'd want to actually wear this in the Caribbean. There's something a little Frederick's of Hollywood in the design, a little too cabaret for my tastes. There are seams galore, anathema for anyone who is looking for a smooth look, although the two front stripes on each cup are actually just topped on ribbon detailing. The exterior also has a decorative side sling panel, and I have a hard time imagining this sitting smoothly under any item of clothing lighter than a sweater. The padding feels about 1/4" thick, and because it is so stiff, there's no ignoring it. You are committing to a padded bra when putting on Charlotte. This bra is a comfort-seeker's worst nightmare, but it'll give you a fabulously structured shape if you can put up with the ruthless foam cups.

    Unfortunately, because of the materials and construction, this bra is not forgiving in any sense, least of all the fit of the cups. I found the cups to be too deep and projected for my shallow shape. While the top of the cup laid smooth, thanks to the nicely-angled upper panel, I could feel the emptiness at the fullest portion of the cups. Charlotte won't work for shallow shapes, tall roots, or FOT, and I am unsure about FOB. I feel the ideal shape for this bra is someone who is projected and evenly round with short roots. The underwire shape is a deep angled U, rather narrow on the bottom, but thanks to the angling is more open on top than a standard U.

    Now, I do have to say that the construction of this bra is excellent. The seams actually end up giving a pretty rounded appearance given the stiffness of the foam. You won't see harsh lines like in Cleo Juna. The proportions of the bra look good, the straps are wide and fully adjustable, and the band is amazing. My favorite part of this bra is the band. With a powermesh-lined cradle, extra-firm mesh wings, and firm elastic, the band was lightweight, comfortable, and supportive. I wish more brands would take a cue from this construction and make more supportive bands (I'm looking at you, Natori!)

    Overall, while Charlotte is definitely not for me, I can see why it has so many fans. It's a polarizing style as it's not for everyone, but if you're looking for a solidly-constructed, supportive, padded bra to wear in cooler climates, give it a try!

    I bought the Floral Shimmer colorway in three different sizes - 28FF, 28G, and 28GG. Measurements are added for all three; here they are for comparison:
    https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnb67/ 28G
    https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dnb6f/ 28GG

    This is my first time ever trying Parfait. Charlotte is very well liked, and I can see why. The padding and exterior material are quite soft, and the floral pattern is beautiful.

    I think this 28FF fits the best and will probably be keeping it. It says out of my armpits and does not gape. It does seem to run large as other reviews have said - I would normally wear 30FF/G in Panache at this point. I'm wearing it with an extender while I break it in.

    This is a molded cup, underwire bra. The band extends below the cup more than most (trying to hint at the look of a longline bra, but not nearly that low). This was very flattering (holds in loose bits of skin & flab without looking dowdy) and comfy.

    I really, really wanted this bra to fit because it is super cute and sexy, but it didn't. It is gorgeous in the purple. (Also tried the sister size of 34D which fixed many issues but made one much worse. Reviewed separately.)

    Fit:
    * Strap separation was too wide. No amount of adjustment would ... keep them from slipping because of they laid on the highest point of my shoulder. I seriously considered keeping this bra and using a X-back style strap connector, but that seemed silly.
    * Band length was a bit short (the 34 band was a better fit).
    * Wing height was borderline short. (Tiny underarm spillage.)
    * Cup gapped at center edge.
    * Gore: good
    * Wire length: GOOD (This is a toughy for me. I need long wires for wide-set breast tissue but am petite so many long wires poke into the armpit.)
    * Cup width: Wider than most, so not bad (This is good since most cups aren't wide enough.)

    About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts
    * average projection
    * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts)
    * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line)
    * short roots
    * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full)
    * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away)
    * conical shape (but will squish to round)
    * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue
    * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame

  20. Charlotte Padded Bra (6901)

    Didn't fit

    This is a molded cup, underwire bra. The band extends below the cup more than most (trying to hint at the look of a longline bra, but not nearly that low). This was very flattering (holds in loose bits of skin & flab without looking dowdy) and comfy.

    I really, really wanted this bra to fit because it is super cute and sexy, but it didn't. It is gorgeous in the purple. (Also tried the sister size of 32DD which didn't fully correct the wide straps and caused new issues. Reviewed separately.)

    Fit:
    * Strap separation was WAY too wide. No amount ... of adjustment would keep them from slipping because they laid over the AC joint (the outer tip of the shoulder). I seriously considered keeping this bra and using a X-back style strap connector (because this bra is so beautiful and made me look drop dead gorgeous), but is too impractical for my lifestyle.
    * Band length: good
    * Wing height was borderline short. (Tiny underarm spillage.)
    * Cup fit: excellent
    * Gore: good
    * Wire length: good to slightly high (This is a toughy for me. I need long wires for wide-set breast tissue but am petite so many long wires poke into the armpit.)
    * Cup width: Wider than most, but still ever so slightly narrow. Wire rested on the last bits of axillary breast tissue. (Tried on during the largest portion of my cycle. Probably would enclose all breast tissue the rest of the month.)

    In the end, sadly returned.
