  1. My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle

This review is for the darker Nude colorway.

I won this bra as part of an underwear set in a blog contest and was thrilled because it was the first bra I was going to get that fit me properly. Well, after I exchanged it for the right size, because as it turns out, it didn't actually run small in the band OR the cups... but now I can't say enough nice things about the customer service at Affinitas, who were super helpful, very accommodating, and fast! Nicest people ever.

Ok, back to the bra: ... The nude color is not actually nude on someone as pale as I am (or really anyone who hasn't been tanning for a few months...), but that isn't really noticeable under clothes. On the other hand, it's very pretty for a t-shirt bra. I only wish I could have gotten another one in the blue colorway when it was still available.

The cups are very stiff. This is good for a lot of people, and fine for me most of the time, although they do gap a little when I let my shoulders fall forward. They give a lovely rounded shape, though, and it's like wearing boob armor.

My only issues with this bra are the wires, which are too narrow for me, and the angle the cups are cut in on the outer top edge. The straps are rather far apart, so this probably is part of the issue, but it really is the shape of the cup. It cuts into the soft tissue around my underarm and shoulder if I don't keep my shoulders pulled back in perfect posture all the time. I mean, it's great motivation to stand up straight, but it still hurts after a little while. I am hoping this will resolve itself at least a little after another wash or two.

All in all, a great bra. I am really glad I own it, and the strap thing won't stop me from wearing it as much as I can.

6 month Update: This bra actually shows through a lot of my thinner shirts now, for more reasons than just the dark color: the top of the cups has curled out and now there is an inescapable ridge that can only be hidden by decoration or a neckline, or perhaps a thick woven fabric. On the plus side, it no longer cuts in under my arms as much, and it is still as armor-y as ever. It also doesn't appear to have stretched at all, but I have lost some weight or gained some muscle or something and now it is pretty obviously too loose on me. I'd sell it because it's still in great shape, but I don't think anyone would want it because of the ridge on the cups. Le sigh.

I find this bra to be very similar to the 30E Parfait By Affinitas Jeanie. It's almost the perfect molded plunge for my shallow, wide rooted boobs.

The cups fit well, without the usual quadboob on top. It may be my imagination, but the shape of the Casey is not quite as good for me as the Jeanie, though they are very similar.

Sadly, just like the Jeanie, the straps too far apart. They sit in my armpits, causing the cups to gap if I bring my shoulders too far forward.

I think this is a very good example of what a properly fitted bra can do. I'd pretty much given up on the idea of my wide breasts having cleavage but this delivers majorly. It gives that "baby's butt" touching cleavage like the add-2-cups bras i used to wear did, except that it also fits and supports me. It feels very firm everywhere, definitely not a "forget you're wearing it" bra, but during try-on it didn't seem like it was going to be painful. I'll report back if it is. I would recommend this as an alternative if the Freya Deco didn't work for you. I could never find a size or style in that that worked for me but this definitely works better for my deep, wide, short shape.

  4. This is a review for the 30G Parfait Casey I have in the European nude colourway. Other than being a different shade than the classic nude offered by this model, there are two very noticeable differences in construction.

The most obvious difference is that the straps are much narrower and thinner than the straps in the classic nude version. They are definitely more slicey (my word for uncomfortable). The next big difference is the firmness and thickness of the cup. Though moulded, these cups are much thinner than the classic nude's cups. They measure the same depth and width, but the cup appears to shape the breast less as ... it is softer and thinner. Rather than lifting and rounding, I find that it has more of a squishing affect. That's not to say that effect is totally undesired. In my case, I do have some shirts and jackets that require a lower profile which the Deco and Casey classic nude cannot accomplish. However, the design of this Parfait Casey colourway does in fact accomplish that. But because the cups are thinner, it has a tendency to flatten just before the edge of the cup and then curl outwards, and the flattening does dent the cleave a bit. http://media.bratabase.com/cache/29/4d/294dc893bb8586fd905b367ceb161d22.jpg

While I do prefer the construction of the classic nude colourway, the European nude Casey has its place in my bradrobe. I just wish there was some consistency from the manufacturer. Another point to note is that the size tag formatting is slightly different that other Parfait bras I've own. Very puzzling.

I've been buying this bra for years and, unfortunately, I've noticed a decrease in the quality of Parfait's bras.

My initial Casey bra had thicker straps, a three-hook back closure, and was made from very high-quality materials. My current one has straps that are too thin to adequately support my bust, two-hook closures, and is made from an itchy shiny fabric. My old ones I could wear for 12+ hours, my new ones I'm itching to take off as soon as I get home.

I still wear this style fairly often, but unfortunately the new Caseys aren't what I'm looking for and I don't plan on buying them again.

This bra did not work for me.

Beautiful bra, very similar to the Deco, but cheaper https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This shape does not work for me. I fall out of the middle and get massive quadboob and gaping at the same time. Changing the size did not help.

    Fits

Edit a few weeks and wears later: I like the feel of this bra, but the cups definitely begin to gape along the top edge they push away from the breasts significantly, especially if I bring my shoulders inward. I feel like maybe I need a cup size smaller, and I'll probably try that. Of course, it would also help if I could get a 28 band. When I s&s right after putting it on, it fits well, but as the day goes on it's like I sink out of it and the cups become pretty empty at the top, and since there's so much cup it ... feels uncomfortable as it moves around. Since they're molded, it's not noticeable to other people.

Original review: I'm pleasantly surprised by the shape this bra gives me. Very lifted and pushed together - I actually have cleavage (right after a nice swoop in anyway). The lace is a nice touch, being on the outer edge means it won't show through thin tops at all. The contour cups are quite thick and fairly stiff, so they push out farther than my breasts along the top edge, especially if I slouch. I suppose the cups are a bit too full coverage for me since they have a rounded top edge - I tried it on with a v-neck top and it was a struggle to keep them from showing in the neckline - I'm very petite though!
The band feels comfortable on the loosest hook but it can stretch out quite a bit - I wish I could've gotten it in a 28 as it doesn't go nearly as snug as I'd like. The straps are great! They adjust all the way along the strap and are made of an interesting velvety stretch material that I thought would be uncomfortable but is actually exceedingly nice to wear. The gore is a nice low height and the wings seem fine upon initial trying on, but that will remain to be seen when I wear it on a nice stressful sweaty day. The band is a nice stretch mesh and despite being a fairly big/structured bra it feels pretty light when wearing it.

This was purchased to replace my Freya Deco which is too narrow and "shell-like" for me. I got this from someone so I don't know if it had stretched but I think this bra runs kind of big. The band is huge on me! I can easily wear it on the tightest or middle hooks. I do plan on altering it down however. I also find the cups are maybe slightly on the big side of F cup. It fits my larger breast just fine.

The cups are much wider and not as shallow as the Deco which is great because the Deco would cut into my breast tissue ... and "collapse" at the bottom of the cup. Compared to the Deco, I find this bra to be much more comfortable and less armor-like. During the summer I can see this bra breathing much better than the Deco.

It has simple lace accents on the cups which is nice and makes it slightly stand out from any other nude t-shirt bra. The straps are somewhat narrow but it doesn't bother me. Because I'm petite I think the cups can be too tall, I sometimes have super gapping near my armpit when my arms are certain positions.

I think once I alter the band it will be a perfect t-shirt bra!

I got this to tryout while I'm still trying to find my best fit. Initially, it seemed like it was going to be perfect. The band was snug but not uncomfortable, and the wires felt great. The trouble came when I decided to lounge (upright but slouched) on the couch while watching tv. The girls sank in like it was nap time. Even when I readjusted there was a ton of gaping at the top with huge unattractive lines under my shirt. I'm functionally full on bottom with average projection, soft tissue, so it wasn't a shock that a molded cup might work that way on me, but I was disappointed. I returned it.

  10. I originally purchased this bra in a 30DD and had to return it and get the 30D instead. For this reason, I think it may run a little roomy or projected in the cups. The 30D is comfortable enough to wear all day.
