    Didn't fit

This bra is pretty and well made, but unfortunately creates a less than flattering shape. It doesn't lift at all, it's just kind of... there. It pushes my breasts down and slightly to the sides -- the same problem I had with the Panache Porcelain! You can see that bra and review here: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/porcelain-molded-seamless-underwire-3376/28E/

Originally I tried the 28E in this, and the cups were slightly loose so I thought this one would be a perfect fit. However, this one is too tight in the cups. Also, the cups are too far apart, which contributes to the odd shape. They ... are 1.1" apart, whereas all my other bras in this size range are 0.7 - 0.9" apart. I did have a pucker at the center edges of the cups, as the 30D reviewer complained about (it's visible in my photos). This could be a symptom of the cups being too far apart as well.

I guess this brand isn't for me, which is odd, because I have a Cleo bra that I love, and that is made by Panache. If I could just combine the fit (sizing) of Panache with the gravity-defying lift of Fantasie and the style of Freya, I'd have the perfect bra. Oh well.

The cups of this bra are very low-cut. The seams are bound and non-irritating. The band, instead of being powernet or mesh like most bras, is a lightweight (almost sheer, but still firm) spandex with a shimmer to it... cool.

Color is "Chilli." Purchased from Figleaves, late Spring 2010.

    • It probably doesn't fit you that great because you're wearing it too low. Notice the baggy area in the bottom of the cup and the taught fabric at the top of the cup in the second picture? (Left Side shot) If this was lifted at the correct position on your ribcage it would most likely eliminate both of those problems. Perhaps try a larger band size instead. Too small of a band will cause it to sit low and make the bottom of the cup too loose with the top being too tight.

    • hlaleo, I have to politely disagree with you on this one. The wrinkling at the bottom of the cup on the left side is due to that side being about 1/4 cup size smaller than the other. You can see from the right side shot that the right cup fits and is at the correct spot (no wrinkling at the bottom). The only way to eliminate the wrinkling on the bottom left would be to wear the bra crooked -- I have this problem with almost every bra I own; in fact, you can see it in some of my other pictures on Bratabase.
The band was the correct size. It sat perfectly level all the way around (again, you can see this in both side shots), and the center gore sat flat against my breastbone. I still think the weird shape was due to the cups being just a hair too far apart, and also the fabric being a bit too soft for support.

    • 1

Not to be a pest, but it looks like both cups have wrinkling in the bottom, one definitely more than the other though. I do see now what you mean about it sitting crooked, I didn't notice that before. That can be remedied by tightening the strap for the smaller breast, or in the case of Scoliosis - the lower shoulder. As for the band, even if it's too small, it can sit level across the chest but the underwires will not be directly under the breast tissue and it causes the breasts to be pulled down. A good rule of thumb for where the center, or fullest, part of your bust should be is halfway between the top of your shoulder and crease of your elbow. If it's below that, the support is off. Just some helpful hints. If it's not needed, no worries =)

    • 1

Thanks, I do appreciate it! :-) I'm a big advocate of proper bra fit. I am going to use your suggestions and play around with a couple of the bras I have, just to see if I can indeed get them to sit better.

    Didn't fit

This bra did not fit me, clearly. I'll do my best to comment on aspects other than the fit.
The band is a good fit, I'd say it's squarely in the 28 category, so no need to size up or down. It's a little stretchy but the elastic is firm, and I had to really pull to get my stretched measurement. The straps are fully adjustable, for those of you who need it. The bra is really not the most charming thing I've ever owned, but the seams and embroidery are rather flat, and this comes in about a million colors, so it's a good candidate for an everyday ... bra. I find the mesh in the wings a bit thin (it's probably prone to emphasizing back fat, even if there isn't much to speak of). The mesh of the cups is really sturdy, though, with zero stretch at all. Actually, the comfort issue I had with the cups is that the seams are pressed to the inside, but the cup is single-layered. While they try to remedy discomfort with a strip of fabric over the seams, the edges of that really sturdy mesh are not completely covered and I found that they were very itchy.
Now, my one comment on fit: This being Panache, the wires are somewhat wide (which I like), but contrary to most of their other styles, the cups here are very deep. To top it off, the top of the cups closes up pretty fast. It's not a look that I can fill out, and even more, it's not the type of plunge that will give lots of cleavage (especially in this size). Just be aware of that if you're thinking of buying.

Okay, so this bra is my best fitting bra so far!
It's sturdy embroidered mesh material in a yellow-toned beige colour ('Nude').
I have even all over boobs with a medium width, close set and with average projection. Gores are my nemesis.

    Pros:
    - Comfortable, the only bra I forget I'm wearing!
    - Straps are a good length
    - The only bra I can perfectly fully fill out a cup in!
    - Nice colour selection
    Cons:
    - The gore used to be painful, so I bent it out a bit and it's now so comfy.
    - The wires are a hair too U shaped, so I get some wrinkling at the bottom of the cup, but I ... don't find it to be any other issue apart from cosmetic.
    - The shape it gives is a little bit 'meh'. It's kind of a 'natural' pointy shape that looks ok under clothes but nothing that makes me think 'Damn I look good!'

    Conclusion:
My favourite comfy every day bra so far. I think I'll keep looking for something with a nicer shape, but honestly that feels like it might be a unicorn for me.

EDIT: I recently tried this on again with an extender because the band started to feel tight, and I found the top of the cup was gaping and I realized the wires were just a bit too wide for me. Panache Jasmine in 36F is a good fit for me.

    • Curious, in my size range it runs really large in the cup, like possibly a full cup size bigger - does it run big in your size range compared ot other bras you've tried?

    • Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. It fits me the same as my Freya Fancies plunge-balcony does. It's quite deep at the nip rather than deep at the underwire and from what I can tell you have to be a really specific shape for it to work, because there is no give in the cups. I had previously thought I needed a cup size bigger in general because I was spilling out of my Cleo Marcie, but I fit fine in the Tango and the Fancies, so I suspect that the Tango plunge works better for me because it's not as narrow as Cleo's are. The Marcie was probably forcing my tissue up and out.
I hope this helps somewhat :-)

    • Have you tried panache clara? based on this it might work well for you too

    • hugsforyourjugs no I haven't, I was tempted but I heard it had a wide & tall gore (I'm very close set) so I haven't tried it. It's gorgeous though!!!

I decided to try a Panache, and I have learned that I am not a Panache girl. As a result of the wide cups, the straps dig into my arms, just a bit, if my posture isn't perfect (or if I have my hands forward on the steering wheel in the car). If you haven't tried Panache, this may or may not be an issue for you - it's something worth trying, IMO, as Panache offers a variety of good bras. The band on this bra fits me wonderfully - it's comfortably tight on the loosest setting (and it's new - worn twice). The cups may be a ... bit big, I'm not entirely certain, but the plunge variety of this bra can be difficult to fit. This is certainly wearable.

On to the specifics of this bra:
The construction is great. I don't know the durability yet - I've only worn the bra once. The leaf stitching on the cups is quality, and looks nice. There's good detail work - the side of the branches with larger leaves has a different texture from the smaller leaves. It's clearly intentional and shows good attention to detail. The cups have an inner liner, so the inner side of the leaf stitching isn't against the breast. Still, the bra ends up being a bit itchy. The cups themselves are not nearly as comfortable as the cups on my Fantasie Smoothing Balcony Bras (even when both are new). However, the Tango II is a very popular bra, and it's possible this itchiness will work out of the bra as it breaks in.

This specific bra was labeled "teal" by FigLeaves. It's a very bright, vibrant color. I like it well enough, on its own, but I prefer my bras to be colors that I don't have to worry about showing. I bought this color because it was on sale - it was a cheaper way to try a Panache cup.

  5. Yeah. This bra was too small in the band and the wires hurt me extremely. When I added an (homemade) extender, the cups become a little too big, but wires were ok and didn't leave me those marks (last time I've got them for more than 2 days, now they are normal and disappear quickly). So I added a hook to the straps and this is it! The uplift is incredible! The fabric wrinkles a little but there is no empty space - this is because the cups are not meant to be this way. It gives me great uplift and is really comfy, though It 'wants' ... to be straight even when I wear it at an angle - after some moves the wires are at equal height and one boob flies above as usual. However it is really supportive for this higher one too.

I feel the tension on my trapezius muscles, especially that they bulked a little... I'm gonna try it wearing for next few days and we will see how it works for longer period of time.

I even like it's look when it is violet...

This is the only bra I own that would allow me to wear the lower-cut faux wrap v-necks that seem to be in 80% of the clothes in the store these days. I'm probably going to get another in a different size -- this is almost there, but not quite. I wear a 36H in other British bras but I bought it off eBay and can't return it.

I love the lower wires in the middle, that they lie flat against my sternum and are unobtrusive. Most of all, I love that this bra makes my boobs seem slightly less huge without being a minimizer.

No Bratabase. This bra is DEFINITELY NOT for round, full or wide boobs /facepalm.
I haven't seen this one work out for anyone in the 28 band sizes at all so should have seen it coming, avoided the cries of woohoo holy cow SO MUCH SPACE. Lol there is ZERO SPACE HERE, but I can see it tried. Something.

So so close https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> First impressions, size appears to be close to current wears, and ... shape looks sufficiently deep from wire to apex. This bra is made of very lightweight slinky-smooth mesh, embroidery only on the outer facing side. Super thin yet sturdy. Has great breathability, but doesn't feel flimsy at all. The stretchy band begins directly AT the outer wire, there is no stabilizing material at the wing at all. This lack of crucial frame supporting the cup, bodes poorly for fit. The wire shape is a 100% match for my needs so count it a few sizes large for most people. However true to Panache spirit, wires are trash and cut in terribly under inner breasts, this would probably not be so bad if the top of the cup wasn't so tiny, and tight-fitted. Keeping the theme from the flexible wing, adding little bit of powermesh above the cup instead of the stingy non-stretch woven could probably have solved many fit issues here!

Cups are wide enough, deep enough for this size, yet the sparse rectangular upper cup panel is made much too short both vertically & diagonally. Upper cuts inward to top of breasts and this gets worse the longer it's worn (hint: it doesn't take long).
The top shape, is at odds with the bottom. Looking inside the bowl of the cup, seems made for a cross between short breast, inner full, and a somewhat detached-from-chest-wall/soft-loose volume at apex shaped design. As thought the sides of the cup are supposed to go concave and crush the outer areas of the breast into the center?
For a style that is not at all tall, narrow nor U shape, someone thought it would be hilarious to design the pattern as though it were! However, making the style plunge with a short J wire, this just pulls the shape flat on both sides and of course the top caves in badly.
While this is far deeper than anything else by this brand I've ever seen, it's pretty far behind polish design. Maybe a copycat of the Gossard Superplunge?
Tango's conflicted design expects both a tiny bust, but also a sort of a wide IMF across the bottom of an otherwise easy to vertically compress breast, with even narrower flat rise from underwire to the apex (7-shape)? It does seem to want a really rounded shape, but struggles to accept anything but a short root. Maybe this style is for anyone whose breast feel supersoft, center-heavy and think they are functionally just full on bottom?
This brings to mind the possibility of Tango's Plunge being a half-arsed attempt to placate the Omega's out here who are drastically overlooked. Not how I would do it, but ok.

So here I am, trying to shove a shape that's basically a huge wide tall root neither FOB nor FOT, with idiotic amount of immediate projection all around into this thing, which causes 2 issues:
-One side appears to not be large enough for my breast, then cutting in on top is exaggerated & fit too tight. Most of my outer breast pushes the cup down to get to the deepest part, and then my inner breast gets the worst of this stupid extra small upper cup panel. Outer breast quads back into itself on the bottom and apex begins to point down at the ground! Godddds.
-On the other higher set side, the cup initially fits properly but eventually seems to bind around outer breast & bag up underneath as the breast seeks the deepest part of the cup, pulling the tight too small upper panel inward and down which give me a strange projected duck bill' shape that sticks right outward from my ribcage. At an ugly east-west angle no less. My breasts stick forward 4" from where they begin at my armpits, and are very forward facing in everything else, so congrats Tango what an achievement. Well done.
While nowhere near as bad as the disgusting fit and feel of Panache's Boob Pancaker, the Andorra. This kind of misshaping has only happened to me before with the Gorsenia Orchid, which has a decidedly 50's conical shape to it. At least Orchid had the decency to not shove my breasts so hard apart from one another.

Removed the wires, fit is improved, but there is still an inch+ wide area from the gore though upper that's way too compressive. Added a set of hooks to the upper band to lace the upper away from collapsing down into my lower boob and causing massive diagonal quadding. While that helps with the force it still looks total shite.
I've not got the heart to try this in a 28G, then 28GG or 28H to see how far it takes to get the space needed, and will be saving this for sweaty nights when I don't feel like soaking to death in my ewa's.

In conclusion, yes probably a size up for most people, but can't shake the feeling this style could afford to be fuller & full-size friendly since such a reputation precedes it. From here out will utterly ignore such dire warnings about 'running a size large' because they apparently never apply to my fit needs.

    • I agree! I have this in a 28G I think that I've tried on and it was not a good fit for me. From what i have seen this is so hit or miss. I would now need. Smaller size but I don't plan on trying this one again personally.

    • 1

IDK even know any more. Honestly with my ewa michalaks working in similar sizing & shapes, it really seemed like I could trust a functionally FOB fit with a known 'runs large' style, and not have to worry about even upper root getting in the way meganelaineshaw1 Everything right was there but somehow my boobs are totally wrong yet again. Really to assume it's how not-squishy they are that's making this whole process harder than it needs to be. It's been baffling how so many styles that should work give 'not big enough' symptoms. Where is the problem coming from now.

    Didn't fit

After seeing multiple reviews for these Panache Tango Bras, I decided to try this plunge out for myself. meant to review this Bra months ago, but finally found the time now. It did not fit well before, and now with more weight loss it is certainly too big in the cups for this style Bra. I was around UK 28GG+ when I had started looking for a proper fitting Bra. I had already lost a little weight, but have continued to lose the lbs and I currently am wearing around a 28FF. My breasts are asymmetrical so one cup fits looser than the other side.

The Tango ... II Bra is A Cute Black Plunge Bra. It is Black and made out of a permeable mesh material with a subtle leaf looking pattern embroidered into it. I can not entirely my pale skin through the cups when I am wearing it, but I can see the light coming through the material when it is off my body. The cups construction combines 3 different panels, two on the lower part of the cups and one about 2inches tall on the upper part of the cup, giving the cup more height and upper coverage. The wires seem long and wide. The gore is 1.5 inches tall and adorned with a little black satin bow. The wires do not run too high on my sternum. The straps are my preferred thickness, 3/4 of an inch. The straps do not adjust fully along the whole strap, which was not an issue for me when I tried it on but does not allow for the straps to be tightened much. The band seemed very firm when I first got this, I think it measured around 23 inches flat when I had not tried it on yet. the band lays flat and measures about 24inches and I can stretch it to 27 easily enough. It feels firmer than some of my other 28 bras. It does not ride up in the back. The Bra clasps in back with 3 sets of 2 hooks. Overall it looks and feels like a nice bra.

I like the look of the Tango II Plunge Bra but it's not a good fit or shape match for me. I like the firm band, and if my breasts were larger and fuller on top, like they were when I was at my heaviest, I would have appreciated the top panel to contain some of that tissue. The cups are too large and also too wide for me. They are also a little too tall and and come up at an odd shape for my chest. The Bra fit me better size wise 6 months ago, but feels more comfortable on my body now.

With my weight loss I think I can adjust my size pretty easily, just the style I need may have changed by this point based on my current shape, roots, and projection. I do like Panache and I am really glad I got to try this bra. I plan to rehome this to someone who can get better use of it.

This makes me sad, as this was my absolute favourite bra in the past when I first got fitted into a 28E. In black at least, this feels very tight in the band. The bottom wire isn't tracking the IMF and there is a ton of extra space on the sides (which I think was also the case the first time, and I am okay with in general). There is a bit of quadding after a few minutes of wear, even with a GG, so I don't think it's from being too small. I'm going to try a G to see if the narrower wire makes this go away.

This bra gives a bit of a bullet shape, but it fits me *almost* perfectly.... a tiny amount of wrinkling at the top. I don't really like the embroidery on this, but there aren't too many bras that fit me! I also don't like it in black, so I'm going to get a different color.

Now, how it might fit you!!! I am full on bottom and close-set, so this plunge works for me. The cups are not TOO high, like the high apex plunges or Bravissimo plunges. I'm also center-full, but I don't spill out, perhaps because the cups hold me in that bullet shape! (I'm also splayed, so that might help.
