Purchased in July 2014 along with 2 other Melody's, I had very high hopes for this bra. Prior to this purchase I had been stuck thinking Goddess and Elila were the only brands that could come close to providing me with comfort and support (they didn't). When my order arrived, my excitement was quickly replaced with disappointment when I put each of them on. I was quadding a little on my larger side and yet I was not filling the bottom of the cup on any of them. I also could not tighten the straps enough to compensate. Very frustrating.
A year or so later, I joined Bratabase and ... learned about Bravissimo and their Alana bras. The Melody, while a seemingly very good quality bra seemed inferior to the Alana. The measured cup depth was very close between them yet I had close to an inch of emptiness at the bottom of the Melody with quadding on top while the Alana gave me neither. I consider myself to be a little FoB but I suspect the Melody was designed for those who are more FoB than me.
In terms of quality, the Melody is excellent and am sure would last for many years for someone with the right shape. The materials are nice and soft, especially the wings and fasteners but for me, the shape mismatch was too obvious. I have kept all 3 Melody's in the hope that I might someday grow into them but so far that has not happened.

    • Of my three Melody's this is the only full cup version and it is the most ill-fitting of them all. There is close to an inch more of unfilled space at the bottom and sides yet I still quad over top, even on my smaller side. It's too bad the fit is so wrong because the materials sure make for a comfortable bra.

    • My previous comment is inaccurate as I seem to confuse my Melody full cups with this balconette. The cups on this bra are a bit taller than the full cups and so I keep thinking this is the full cup and the other two are the balconettes.

I posted a comment on my white full cup a short while ago and the same applies to this nude colorway. The improved fit may be due to a 5 lb weight gain I had since Christmas last year. I do appreciate the extra support on these straps as they certainly help to cushion things better.

    • I saw this Melody in my bra drawer and put it on to see if they would be a better fit now but to no surprise, they weren't. There is another review of the Melody here on Bratabase and the owner described a very similar experience but in a much smaller band size. I wonder if Panache simply did a bad job of scaling up this design.

Back to the back of my bra drawer for this one.

    • This Melody is one of several bras that I still have from 2014-2015. I tried one of those other ones, a 42K Elomi Caitlyn just to wear around the house today but quickly took it off as the wires, especially the right side, were poking really badly. This Melody was no different.

Once again, back to the back of the drawer for you!

    • I tried this Melody balconette again and ended up having a much much better day with it. I have gained close to 5 lbs since Christmas so that likely helped a lot as the bottom of the cups were nearly filled and so were the sides. Of course, the gore did not tack (none of my bras do) but the sides were nearly filled as well. I have to be careful when bending over as I am close to falling out but otherwise that was one of my better days with this bra.

    • Well guess what? I think I have finally grown into my 2 Melody balconette's and it only took close to 9 years to get there, lol!

To be fair, I seldom wear either of them as the many Bravissimo brand bras I have are so comfortable and supportive. I think I also let my poor view of my Melody full cup influence my opinion of these balconette's. I quad ever so slightly on my larger boob and since I am on the middle hooks, I should get another year or so from these bras.

I have never mentioned the extra support that are sewn onto the straps. It is very similar to the material you would attach velcro to (not the plastic connectors, of course). It seems to add some strength and stability to the straps which is certainly helpful at this end of the spectrum.

Back into the rotation for you two!
