I had Panache Andorra a few years ago, which is similar in cut to Clara. I can confirm that both bras are rather shallow.
my shape: full on top (fot), medium wide tall root, center full projected.

Actually I don't mind the wires on this one... they are quite good in width, height and shape for me. The cups however are quite shallow all over. The bottom part is too shallow and doesn't have enough projection. The wire wants to slide down and I have to adjust the wires up which is annyoing. The top section is made of stretchy lace which is good for fot shape, however there isn't enough room for my boobs in this bra. (I need 34JJ or 32K which they don't make) The band is okay but I would size down to 32 if I could. I like a firm band.
I recommend this bra if you have slightly wide, tall and shallow breast shape - and it can work for fot with the stretch lace but maybe size up 1 cup size.

This is a such a beautiful bra!! This color is beautiful too. Such a shame it’s too small in the cup. Do you feel this one is less shallow than the Andorra? Or do you think it’s mostly the same?

    • 1

braluv I have always admired this Clara style. It's indeed very pretty. I tried Andorra a few years ago but I remember it being similar, here is my review:http://bra.pe/XGO2/

    • Thank you! I will check out your review of it!

Andorra is known to run a bit small in the cup. I recommend sizing up 1 cup size compared to your usual Panache size but mostly because that bra is insanely shallow on bottom.
I was about a 32K / 34JJ when I received this bra and of course it was too small. The wires were too short on the side / cups too short which ended up in some side spillage. I also got some quadboob despite the stretchy lace. So I would say the bra was about 2 cup sizes too small for me. The shoulder straps are very thin (although fully adjustable) and not very comfortable.

This bra fit my wide, even breast shape quite well and cooperated fully with my petite stature and high root. It also gave a lifted, projecting, rounded silhouette that I liked very much.

My only grip was that the cups did not have any side support, and were not cut guide breast tissue forward. If anything I felt like the opposite was happening and that what little forward projecting breast tissue I had was somewhat being pulled around to my sides. The photos don't at all show this to be the case, but I certainly felt like my arms were hitting my side boob an awful lot more than ... normal.

The vintage colorway is quite beautiful and classic, especially with the delicate lace overlay on the cups and elegant lace trim at the bottom of the gore and cup rims. This would make a great "invisible" bra as the Vintage color is a basic beige nude sheer while the seams and lace on the cups are virtually undetectable under clothing.

The band on this bra is quite firm; it stretches very easily for a few inches and then just stops. It's quite bizarre. But I am a fan of both the reasonable tension and the maximum stretched length of this bra, as it keeps things firm without them being uncomfortable.

All around a fantastic bra. Someone with less need for side support would do absolutely beautifully in it. If it had a side support panel, I'd buy ten and wear them to work. The seams perfectly aligned with my nipple for modesty, the sheer beige was a perfect no-show shade under tops, an the patterning was subtle enough to leave no bumps in my outerwear. What more could you want?

    • I wonder if you could add side support slings inside the cup. They look relatively simple to construct, and you could attach it to the strap, then tack it down along the cup until you reach the base of the cup. I remember the side supports in my Andorra were tacked along the outer edge of the cup but not on the other side. Might be worth a shot if you got this cheap enough and you otherwise love it!

    • For the sake of curiosity and after nearly paying off my Amazon credit card, I paid full price for that baby: $62! It's going back whether I love it or not lol

Definitely not a bad idea though... if I run into one listed here on Bratabase or ebay that might be a worthwhile project!

    Didn't fit

I will write a blog post on this one day soon but for now I wanted to enter the relevant information on here before I sent the bra back.

So I guess that last statement says it all - I am sending the bra back! I had very high hopes for this bra after a fellow blogger whose size is not entirely dissimilar to mine said it was the best non-wired bra she'd tried. However, my issue is that it does not come large enough in the cups for me, sadly. I wear a H/HH/J in regular wired bras and know from previous trying on experience ... that I need to go up at least one or two cup sizes in order to get a good fit in non-wired bras.

This one was very pretty indeed and the fabric was gorgeously soft. But the cups squashed my boobs to the sides (I should have known this as all Panache bras do this to me) and cut into them and flattened them at the front. You can see from the pics - particularly the one looking down - that the bra gives me a most bizarre shape.

If it wasn't for this, I would definitely have kept it. The lace was not itchy at all and the straps and band were really comfortable.

In an ideal world I would have this bra in a 30 or 32 K, or perhaps J cups that actually ARE J cups. This 34J had lots of room in the 'cups' (as much as there are cups in a non-wired bra) at the sides so I think perhaps it is the cut and shape of this bra which are wrong for me, as opposed to the size.

I would recommend this bra to a friend but I would suggest trying on several different sizes in a store instead of doing what I did and ordering it online and wasting money on postage (grr). Either that or find a retailer with free postage and returns so you can order lots of different sizes for fit options and then return them all and buy on another site where it's cheaper https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

Maybe I should try a Triumph Doreen instead - it is the world's best-selling bra, after all!

    Fits

Guys. This one seems like it fits. Most bras look like a droopy Snoopy nose on me from the front. This one seems to be shaped more like it's "supposed" to. My boobs are facing forward, not down. Sweet!

This was a surprise fit. I just added Thea to my order because it was available for Prime Wardrobe, but it's listed on ABTF as good for FOT, so I wasn't too excited as I am functionally FOB. Maybe the stretch lace/mesh panel opens up for FOT ladies, but on me it encloses the tops and inner sides very nicely. It's a two-ply mesh with an embroidered flowery pattern ... along the top and a thin elastic strip along the top border. Unlike Jasmine's lace, which is the same width for the length of the whole cup, Thea's lace is narrower on top by the straps and widens as it approaches the gore. The bottom cups are a smooth, satiny fabric with a mesh lining. The structure is a three-part cup with the straps attached to the wide panel that wraps down the side and along the outer bottom. That structure seems to work well for me with my very heavy outer fullness, as it helps give some outer lift.

The cups seem to fit well, very little wrinkling on the sides, and the elastic rests smoothly across the tops. The only issue is, as ever, the Panache wires that are always right at my armpits. Sometimes I have to re-scoop and swoop to keep it off my breast tissue right there. I wish Panache could shorten their wires by even 1/4". https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

Thea has a lot of projection in the apex, and also more than Hettie at the wire, with a rounder, deeper cup than Hettie. The result is a shape that's a little pointy, but like a rounded point, and angled up a bit. I believe I saw cupandahalf label this "rocket boob." lol.

The 34 inch band is a little tight on me. I'm wearing it with an extender that allows the bottom hook to fasten at the level of the loosest hook and the middle and top hooks to fasten one row looser.

Well, I've now tried this bra in the two possible sizes that could work for me. Unfortunately, neither of them actually does work for me. This size, the 34J, is just all around too small. The band would probably fit perfectly if the cups were not too small. But let's start with the good:

This is a really pretty bra. I like the all over lace look and I actually like the way the band overlaps itself in the center. I also like felt-feel of the underside of the straps in the front. This does, however, make it less functionally adjustable. The gore sits fairly low on my chest, ... so I do not have big issues with it sitting on tissue (a frequent problem for me).

All that said, there is not quite enough projection in this bra for me. I had the same issue in both sizes of the bra (34J and 36J). In the 34J, I am also having issues with spillage at the top of the cups. Granted, I am probably at my maximum fullness for my cycle today. Regardless, this just won't work because of the lack of immediate projection.

A little shallow for me, but works well with my soft tissue at the top of the cup and mostly accommodates for my center-fullness. The quadboobing is from, again, it being rather shallow. The band also runs firmer and shorter than other Panache bras IME, notably Envy. Super pretty and up to Panache's usual quality standards.

    • Lovely! The wires come so low in front it looks painful to me, but mine do too. and are only occasionally painful

    • dbmamaz Isn't it pretty? I so wish it fit. If I was craftier I could replace the wires but as usual, I have trouble justifying that in a full price bra.

The wires aren't as low as they look. I would estimate there's a good quarter inch of extra fabric on the band. The lace lays really nice and flat. I prefer this amount of fabric, actually, as it prevents a lot of the bunching up normal banded bras tend to do.

I have mixed but overall positive feelings about this bra.
Firstly, when I ordered it from herroom I expected the fabrics of the cup to be one sheer and the other one more opaque. However, what I got was a bra with the cups all in the same type of fabric, in between sheer and opaque. This was a disappointment because I really like the appearance of bras with half sheer fabric. Still, the colour was breathtaking so that compensated it a bit. It's a gorgeous bra like this too, I simply expected something different.
To be honest, when I first bought this bra it didn't fit all ... that well. But now, a year later, it does. I used to experience quad boobs/spillage on the top when wearing it but that no longer happens.
The band runs a bit tighter than I'd like but it's not such a big issue. The straps can be adjusted properly.
The underwires are a bit too long on the sides, poking under my arms. I had the same issue with the Panache Tango Ii Balconette (3251), so I wonder if this has to do with the way Panache makes their bras. Perhaps they are too wide for me.
One of the main problems I face when I wear this bra is that the bottom lace, the one that runs in front of the bra, under the band, tends to roll in and it can make me skin irritated after a day of use.
Overall, it's a beautiful, beautiful bra. I'm in love with its colour and the embroidery on the cups looks great. It's not what I wanted at first, but it is aesthetically pleasing anyway. The fabric is not the most comfortable one and the underwires are too long, but besides that, it's a good bra.

This bra was an exchange with another bratabaser for a 32J Cleo that didn't work for me. I am very pleased with the fit; the band is comfortable, the cups enclose the boobs completely, and it is super pretty.
It has also confirmed my theory that I need a shorter gore. I recently have been observing how my other bras fit and have wondered if that could be my "issue". This bra is comfortable unless my body is in certain positions and at that point the center wires dig into my sternum. Nonetheless, I am happy with the exchange because as I am comfortable with the overall fit, I actually wear this bra as opposed to the one I
exchanged which just sat unused in the drawer.

This bra is obviously too small. I get severe quadboob. When I tried the oddly big 34K - » Floris Balconnet Bra (7311) Panache it looked like it is 2 cup sizes too big, that's why I tried the 34J, which is clearly too small.
Band fits okay, bra gives an uplifted front and center shape which is comparable to the shape that Cleo bras give.
The bra has usual Panache construction, strong wires, tall on the side, slightly wide cups and it is not that full on top friendly since the lacy part of the cups runs quite firm.
I personally don't like the print very much. Fabric is smooth and comfortable to wear.

  11. Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951)

This is one of my favorite bras despite the mildly pointy profile. It is the first bra I have owned where the band was comfortably firm, the cups were sufficiently big, and the wires were actually wide enough for my quite broad root.

It gives excellent lift with an angled lower panel but still has sufficient lower volume for my mostly even shape, and the top panel is stretch lace so ladies of all levels of upper fullness can makes this bra work without quad boobing. There's more projection in this bra than with other Panache Superbra models, such as the Panache Sienna (4471) , and ... the gore is pretty slim.

The cup looks fairly opaque on bottom when worn, but this is an unlined and unpadded bra which is actually sheer when held up to the light. It is very thin and breathable, yet I have no problems with nipple show through as my nipples tend to fall right on the seam.

I have found that the underwires are a little more narrow for me than they originally felt - perhaps it's just the angle of them on the outside - but I only notice when I am getting out of the car. The way that I tend to lean on the side of the driver's side seat when I swing my legs around has been pinching some of my tissue between the car seat and the back of the underwire. It's super weird.

The gore is also quite tall and tacks firmly. I have a layer of fat on my sternum because I'm a bigger lady, so over the course of a day the gore can actually push my little bit of chest chub up above where the gore rests and stab up into it. Usually I just give it an upward tug to resettle things, but I intend to bend the underwires out slightly as a long term solution.

This bra fits very similarly to the Panache Andorra Full Cup (5675).

    • Interesting, I'm surprised you find it similar to the Andorra! Myself, I think Andorra had a lot less depth and lower files in it, and I'd need at least one cupsize bigger in it than Jasmine. ( Also hi! Nice to see someone around in similar sizes. :) )

    • Hey Elphabra ! :)

The 34J Jasmine is a really good fit for me, whereas the Andorra Full Cup in 34J does ever so slightly indent me at the top - which since it is stretch lace really shouldn't happen. So I don't disagree that the Andorra runs a touch smaller! I'm not convinced it's a full cup size of difference between the two; I'm on the larger end of 34J it makes sense that I'm having minor and nearly undetectable quad boob issues. You make a good point though and I should have mentioned this in my review - whoops!

Mainly I think I was trying to convey that the wire widths were comparable and the shapes they gave were similar, as the seam patterns are similar and they both use stretch lace for the upper panel. I made a collage of various bras to demonstrate the shape similarity just yesterday:

So even me got an Ariza. It has a broken hook so I cannot use it, but I still intend to keep it and just add a hook from one of my older bras. My pics with it are a little messy, but I take more as soon as I've fixed the hook.

I love the fabric!! It's so soft, it's as comfortable in fabric as my Andorras!

I want fully adjustable straps! That's probably the only complain I have about this bra. I couldn't alter the gore since it would make the band too tight for me in the front, even if it's technically too big in the back.

I own this 34J and 30K Ariza and they are the same in band and cup sizes. (Below J cup Ariza band runs super small, JJ and above run super big) It also is the most supportive bra from Panache and if you can get a good fit in it, there will be excellent support. But Ariza is very shallow at the center and top, so I either have to squeeze into a size too small or the very tall wires poke me.

Which makes me think that the fit that Panache offers with it's wide wires, needs extra tight band for me to be supportive at all. Which is not a good thing. I think everyone would call me out if I tried 28K Ariza of wearing a band that is much too tight.

    THE BRA
The Clara is gorgeous in the Charcoal/Black colorway. It looks elegant and understated, but more interesting than your standard black lace bra.

Clara is shallower than Jasmine and Envy; I believe it has less immediate projection and less overall projection. As a result, it seems to run smaller in the cups than those two cuts. The 34 band feels the same as any 34 band from Panache. The wires are typical Panache wires: long, wide, extremely firm.

    ME
I'm still learning my shape. I know I have soft tissue and narrow roots, and I need lots of projection at the wire. I think I'm omega-shaped, a little FoB, with center ... fullness. Wires like to slide out of my IMF. Wire ends like to stab me in the armpits.

    THE BRA ON ME
Clara slides out of my IMF (about 2") immediately and stabs me in the armpits, just like Jasmine and Envy. Unlike Jasmine and Envy in this size, Clara produces noticeable quadding on both sides. This one is a miss for me.

That black lace over charcoal sateen tho!! <3 This one will survive the ill-fitting bra purge to live on as a bedroom bra.

While it fit quite well, I didn't care for the somewhat pointy shape it gave me. I now know this is common with Jasmine and breasts that are more full on bottom than full on top.

It was comfortable to wear, and it did a good job of both sitting in my IMF and holding in my soft, center full tissue near the gore.

Having tried both this and Sculptresse Chi Chi, I would pick Chi Chi if I wasn't sized out of it. It gave me a rounder shape and is made of higher quality materials. Not that Jasmine feels cheap, but there's a noticeable difference compared to Chi Chi.
