  1. Porcelain Lace (5726)

Yay!! Just received this bra like 15 minutes ago and I already love it. This just goes to show how important correct fitting is. I tried this bra in size 30D previously, and tried the original Porcelain (Panache 3376) in 28E, and they both looked awful on me because of poor fit. (See my other review here: http://bratabase.com/browse/panache/porcelain-molded-seamless-underwire-3376/28E/ )

Finally, in size 30DD I have a winner. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to have a nice t-shirt bra in my size. If you've seen my other bras, you know it's been a struggle.

I hope that in the future ... Panache will choose to make this bra in band size 28 (like the original Porcelain), because this bra has to be fastened on the middle or tightest hook for me. Most of my bras are size 30, but this band is very stretchy (see measurements).

The foam lining is thin (about 1/8" ) and light -- just enough for "camouflage" as it were. The straps, comfortable; and though they look very wide set, for some reason they feel good on me and I'm not very big. Could have something to do with them being somewhat cushioned.

The lace is gorgeous and sexy, especially for a t-shirt bra! It is also very soft and non-irritating. Definitely no machine washing for this baby. The cups are very round... that t-shirt shape which is becoming an American classic (our Continental cousins don't seem to be so bothered by seams and a natural cone shape as we American girls generally are).

Summertime is here, and this should be a great item for the hot weather because the cups have a cotton blend lining and the bra overall is lightweight. My Tisha bra (Le Mystere 955), though flattering, feels like an industrial clunker next to the Porcelain Lace. I'll be having fun with this one.

Purchased from Her Room in late Spring 2010. (Incidentally, this will be my last order from this retailer for a long, long time. I will not recommend them because of customer service issues. Don't worry though! This bra is also available at Bare Necessities, Breakout Bras, and Nordstrom, among others.)

    *** UPDATE ***
I've been wearing this bra for a couple weeks now and I still love it... I even ordered another one from Breakout Bras. Highly recommended.

Great review of a pretty & comfy bra. I hope to own it soon too if they bring out more colors! ;) Have to agree with Herroom.com as a total nuisance having now dealt with their incompetent and snail-paced customer service for a few weeks now. Good bra find!!

  2. Floris Balconnet Bra (7311)

I tried this on in Bravissimo last week. Think Cleo shape in Superbra branding. Hurrah! This is the first Panache main line bra to fit me perfectly, so I hope the Floris cut is going to stick around. The shape is fabulous; the same as the Melissa/Bella/Ellis etc (not Marcie). The shape is helped by the cup construction, but also by the fairly stiff fabric; the upper section is an unusual sort of gauzey fabric rather than lace. It's probably not very forgiving if you're very full on top.

Despite the measurements here on bratabase suggesting to the contrary, I do think the bra runs a cup ... size large compared to Cleo. The 30DD Floris fits me perfectly, whereas I wear an E cup in those Cleo lines. The band is more generous too, but not problematically so. Unfortunately I didn't buy the bra so I can't provide measurements.

I'm not entirely sold on the appearance (the colour doesn't really suit my pasty skin), but I am on the shape. I would love to see the Floris appear in a continuity colour - if you're listening Panache, I'd buy several!

    30DD

    Didn't fit

I didn't know much about Thea initially, except that it comes in lovely floral prints. I picked up one in my normal Panache sister size of 30DD in the Ivory Floral colorway, which is reminiscent of vintage botanical sketches and is quite unique. I was surprised to find that this bra is super comfortable and feels very much like a Cleo. However, this bra is sadly designed for FOT shapes, as the center of the cup is a bit high and projected, and the upper cup is almost shelf-like, meaning that it attaches to the bottom cup almost perpendicularly rather than at a gradual angle. ... While the wires and bottom cup fit me quite well, there's wrinkles in the upper cup that foam pads could not even smooth out as I just don't have the fullness required to fill it out.

This bra reminds me very much of several Cleo styles I've tried: Minnie, Ellis, and Kayla. All of these styles have a nice, firm tricot-lined printed fabric lower cup that feels really supportive and gives a great rounded shape. However, the fun stops there. The upper lace cup is made from double lined embroidered mesh with stabilizing elastic at the upper edge, but it feels quite firm though it does stretch a bit. Minnie has a very rigid upper cup, Ellis has a mesh embroidered upper cup with a bit of flexibility, and Kayla has a very stretchy and soft upper cup. This upper cup functions similarly to a cross between Minnie and Ellis' upper cups in terms of flexibility. If these styles work for you, chances are that you will love Thea.

I found the band to feel pretty TTS and relatively firm, so this sister size felt like a decent fit. The band is plain, solid powermesh, and there is a gentle leotard back. The elastic used is nicely textured for visual interest. The printed fabric is used throughout the cups and the cradle, and the center gore has a two tone pink and blue bow. I feel that the bow doesn't quite match the design of the rest of the bra, which is more vintage elegant, but the bow reads quite pop. Other than the fit mismatch, this is my only critique about this bra. I think it's a really well made bra and would recommend it to the right FOT shapes that can wear similar Cleo styles!

    Didn't fit

This one was a weird fit for me, as it's more of a shallow half-cup than all the photos of it would reveal. The straps are nice and wide though. When I put it on it ends up cutting diagonally across my breast tissue. Since it seems to be a half cup of sorts, I dont fill the cup entirely in the bottom and quad to heck and back on the top.
The straps seemed to be too far apart for my shoulders so they wouldn't support well in the long run, even if the cup were to fit. The gore is low even for me, and it floats on top of my breasts as it is too wide, but also because my breasts don't fill out the cups correctly.

  5. Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951)

    Another boob hug bra!
I need the second or third hook on this bra, but it's lovely anyway!
I love the fabric and feel like this is the 'green' shape equivalent to the Panache Andorra. It is less full coverage-y than the Andorra and can accommodate more fullness on top, if you need it. Seriously, if this bra came in a 28 band I would buy all the colorways! I think it might run 1/2 to a full cup large, because I'm usually a 28F and the cups very fit nicely.

The only tiny problem (like usual) is that the gore is slightly too wide causing a slightly uncomfortable feel and prolonged red marks where is sits on very shallow breast tissue. This happens in every full-cup bra I own, even Comexim. It's not really a big deal, just something to mention. I always count a bra as fitting if that's the only problem, because I would need narrow, overlapping wires in order for the to be fixed - and there are only very few bras that do that.

  6. Evie Strapless Bra (5320)

I have wide, even breasts with tall roots.

I think there is actually empty space within the cups, but it's not enough affect the fit significantly. It doesn't cut in badly.

The band is too large for me as a 28 (I think it runs TTS), but on the tightest hooks it is okay. I wore it to lunch and then ran up 5 flights of stairs, and it did not move around too much.

I love that it is seamed. It fits better than my 30DD - Fit Fully Yours ยป Smooth Strapless (B1003) because of the seams, though it is padded and therefore thicker.

It ... has a high gore which I like, but may not work for a lot of people who need low gores for strapless bras.

I worry that the straps would not stay on if used--the hooks don't seem to fit as securely as seen in many other bras. However, the loops where it hooks onto the bra are much closer to the center than in many strapless bras, which is awesome! This prevents the straps from being too wideset. That was a great move on Panache's part, as many companies put them too far to the side.

    Fits

I love the stretch lace at the tops of the cups. I imagine this allows for some flexibility in terms of fuller on top/on bottom, but I'm not an expert. It fits me well.

The band is quite tight. I'm actually looking forward to it loosening up a bit. So far thought (it's been about 2 months) the band hasn't loosened much, at least not that I've noticed.

I have low set breasts (hope those are the right labels) such that I have the straps adjusted to the longest length. It's just barely long enough, although I would have appreciated slightly longer straps.

I also have moderately wide set breasts, and this bra fits very well. Finally, the colour is just lovely. It's a deep teal, mostly blue with some green.

I tried this bra on in a couple of sizes and colours (weight loss/gain etc) (30D, 30DD and 28DD) and it was always a pleasure https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

It's a very nice and comfy everyday bra. The fabric is smooth and soft.

I wouldn't wear it to go out in the evening because there are other bras that add a bit more "wawawoom" to your outfit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> but I really like this one for work.
The wires don't poke, the shape is nice (not superb, but nice), the quality is really good and neither does the fabric wash-out nor did the band stretch a lot.

    So: Great everyday bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I wish this bra fit better. The pink is beautiful, the band fits comfortably, and the lace is beautiful. Unfortunately, I'm falling into the realm of the straps not being long enough again. I'm getting a lot of pulling and puckering at the sides of the cups, and the very top of the bra is too loose. If I pull down the straps so that there's more room in the cup, the gapping at the top of the cup becomes more apparent. I seem to fill the bottom just fine, and the cup is too wide again as usual. The deepest part of me comes just under the three-part seam, so maybe a 30D would work? I feel like the underwire will still be too wide. Otherwise, this bra is gorgeous. I might consider getting it altered if I decide to keep it, but I don't know if it's worth keeping without the top of the cups fitting.

  10. Orianne Full Cup Bra (9405)

    1
    like

    30DD

    Fits

Orianne is listed as a sister cut of Clara, so while I was intrigued by the appearance of this bra, I was hesitant to try it based on my past experience with Clara. Back when I was a 28DD, I tried a Clara in 30D that was so shallow it was like wearing a chest binder. However, I found this on Amazon for a decent price and decided just to give it a try as I haven't tried many Panache bras recently. I was surprised to find that Orianne may share similar measurements to Clara, it is much more projected, and due to its fabrication ... and shape, it fits much more like a non-stretch version of the Andorra.

Orianne is a 4 piece full cup with an interior tricot side sling for side support. The cups are tricot lined lace, and the upper cup is single layer lace with no stretch or upper edge elastic. The outer lace is an opulent and beautiful cross-dye, though I wouldn't describe the color as Teal/Gold, it is more like Navy/Champagne. Unfortunately, the lace is a bit scratchy, and is nowhere near the softness of the lace used on Andorra or Clara, which are both made from stretch lace. The lace extends through the entire cradle and a little bit into the strap, while the rest of the bra is plain deep navy. The straps have a triple picot edging and the center gore decoration is is a small champagne bow.

The band is firm, wide powermesh, and feels much better on me than many other Panache 30 bands that tend to run large on me. I would say it feels somewhere between a 28 and 30 band due to its firmness, though it measures TTS for a 30. The cups measure TTS for a 30DD and I found the wire shape and size to be comfortable and what I expect from Panache in this size. My only concern is that this cut on me tends slightly towards orange in a glass--there's a little more projection in the center of the cup and the upper cup is quite closed off. I definitely fill out the cup volume, but it can be a little bit of work to fit into the cups, something I also experience in some Fantasie side support styles. The side support sling is on the wider side on this bra so thankfully it doesn't cut into my outer tissue too much.

Compared to what I remember from Clara, the depth of this bra is normal for 30DD and definitely not shallow. It measures a touch deeper than Andorra, but since Andorra is stretch lace and meant to stretch to fit, it makes sense that this is a little bit roomier in the cup. However, I've noticed in this type of style that you can get a pointy, unflattering shape if you don't have enough breast tissue to really fill out the cup. So, the appearance of these unlined cups on me is OK but not great due to the slight shape mismatch and lack of stretch in the lace, and this is most noticeable at the center of the cup where it connects to the upper cup. However, the reason I really like the bra other than the beautiful lace and unusual colorway is that when I add in foam liners, it gives an amazing rounded shape that very few of my other bras can achieve! However, the only true downside to this bra is that due to the thicker lace, the seams can be visible under clothing, though the more you fill out the bottom cup, the smoother it will look.

Orianne is a lovely bra and a great option for those who currently like Andorra, but as it is not shallow, it will not suit Clara wearers. It is a sophisticated and elegant looking bra, and I only wish that the quality of the materials matched its luxurious appearance.

I wanted to try this bra in 28F but couldn't find one that is reasonably priced and not hot pink, and 30DD is the closest size I could find cheap. The band is too loose and the cups are too small, but the stretch lace accommodates my top fullness / tall roots. The gore is low and narrow - it's even overlapped, which I've never seen in a mass produced bra. The side support seam also brings things centre, which I like very much. I think a 28F would fit me perfectly, but it's been discontinued and mostly sold out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

This bra fits so bizarrely, I can't even figure out what size/shape it would suit best. I have wide-set, shallow, slightly FOB breasts and the top of this bra cuts in like crazy while the bottom remains completely empty. I think the mainproblem is that the deepest part of the bra is really close to the gore, which sounds like it would help create cleavage for breasts like mine but instead results in making me look like a mutant because it's not possible for my breasts to get there with the underwire so far below them. The entire cup wrinkles/caves, and the very top for some reason pulls in until it's almost perpendicular to the ground, creating quadboob like I've never had before.

Overall, this bra is just confusing and hard to describe, so I'm posting pictures. If this looks like it might fit your shape, congratulations on finally finding the perfect bra, since I've never come across one like this before.

    • Looks like its designed for someone who does not need any immediate projection and is very center-heavy.

    • a lot of strapless bras are like this, but the Panache Porcelain Moulded Strapless (3370) is extreme. It's for very short roots, and very shallow.

First bra i bought when i was trying to work out my real size (30e and not 34a/36aa!). It's way too small.. maybe by 2 cup sizes. Had terrible quadboob yet it was loose in some parts. Made my boobs point downwards, gave me terrible armpit pain, and the seam actually left a bruise on my right breast! Also got bruising from the centre gore.
Still keeping it for sentimental reasons though- after years of straps falling off my shoulders, feeling squished and bands riding up on the tightest hooks, I was getting towards the correct size.

Bought this bra to try for sizes. Had to return in a hurry, so no measurements https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

The shape of this bra just didn't work for me. I had both slight quadding on my larger breast, but also wrinkles and empty areas inside. I think I'm slightly shallow maybe, but I'm honestly not too sure yet. I fill the bottom okay, though there are some wrinkles near the apex. My nipples seem to be sitting in the right place, so I guess I just need more upper fullness for this bra. The top of the cups are pretty much empty on both sides, ... especially near the nipple area. Gore and wire are both good, and the band is true to size. Strap placement/comfort both fine.

The material is slightly too stiff, I can see this rubbing if I were to wear it. Perhaps washing would help? I have this Heather, which is a light mauve colour. It's nice enough for under medium/darker tops and the embroidery doesn't show up under the tshirt I tried with it. Made me look pointy, but my boobs are naturally kind of like that and since there's so much space in this bra, it didn't alter my shape at all.

The material is nice, not itchy.

The underwires are nice and wide but they don't dig into my armpits. The cups actually fit really nicely at the bottom, the problem for me is the baggyness at the top.

The band has a nice firm fit, and comfortable too. It's also not very stretchy which I like.

I will buy this in 30D and report back with results. Hopefully, it fits.
