My boobs: 26FF/G ish, but have been fluctuating a lot the past year. Always even to FOT, narrow roots, moderately projected, firm tissue, decently spaced but not wide-set.

I think the cups run maybe half a cup small. It's hard to say. This bra accommodated me well when I was near my largest. The band is nice and firm, and I was only slightly fuller on top than what the bra is made for. It wasn't nearly as FOB as I thought it was going to be, at least in this size. My complaints: The wires are too wide, and the gore might be too short for me, personally. ... I like the gore height for its use in certain outfits, but on my anatomy, it would start to dig in right underneath my sternum, which became super uncomfortable. This might have been when I was starting to shrink though, and I suspect the gore would dig in more if it wasn't being tensioned outward enough from filling the cups well enough. The lace also became a bit scratchy and uncomfortable at times, and the shape was a bit more natural/pointy in some outfits than I would like. But when I needed it most, it served me well.

I have exactly the same issues with this one. Wides are too wide, gore is uncomfortable after some time of wearing. Also, the band is quite loose, I think 28 could fit me better in this one (I have Ana in 30F).
But it's still good for deeper cleavage outfits, anyway.

I've had this bra for a while but keep forgetting to add it. My shape is projected, full on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, soft and self-supporting tissue, and super close-set. My usual UK size is 28FF/G depending on how open on top the bra is. It's supportive being a wireless bra and great for lounging at home or taking short walks. The band is true to size and the cups provides nice lift and coverage. I would say it's projected, wide and a little bit closed on top but it doesn't have wires so these are not issues for me.

  3. Tango Ii Balconnet Bra (3251)

Boobs look pointy from the side.
Bra is actually very comfortable to wear. I don't really like the flowers because they can show through clothing, but I find that any lace bra will even do the same thing. I find I am adjusting this bra a lot less than my Freya decos (which aren't always a good fit to begin with). I almost returned this bra because of the pointy shape, but under shirts I can't tell as much and I am very glad I kept it and wore it for the day. It feels great even if not very attractive to look at.
Overall I am really impressed ... with how this bra is sitting after wearing it all day. I think I will get a couple more in different colours since it feels so good.

    UPDATE:
This bra no longer fits and I don't intend on repurchasing this bra again. It did not give me the nicest shape, and since this purchase I have found many other bras online that I will try first. Also, I don't have a lot of luck with soft cup bras because I have asymmetry between my breasts. Padded bras are an easier fit right now until I figure out a cheap and non surgical way to handle that.

I'm not sure why this was voted down, I think repurchasability is a big factor is determining if someone actually liked a bra. Updating a review to state that would be appreciated from my perspective.

    • If it doesn't fit anymore you can go and add your new measurements and then report how this bra doesn't fit for your new figure ;)

    • 1

Thanks! I have added my new measurements but in various site locations it still says this bra fits so I wanted to clarify. I understand that people will want to know that it *did* fit when I was a different size, but I was getting confused and wanted to show change somehow.
Should I do anything else? I am new to this new measurements and new bras that fit info...
      Thanks again!!

    Fits

This was absolute bargain and it's totally underrated! I got it from ebay for about 7€ (last one) and managed to find 2 more for about 20€. The baby blue looks super cute and what appears to be white in the pictures is actually a very light cream or blush (hard to tell). It is almost invisible under a fitted white shirt. My only complaint is that the lace part on top tends to fold over so it looks like it is wrinkling even though the cups are perfectly filled, but you can probably fix this with a few stitches. The shape is very round but a bit ... taller and more projected then my Cleo Marcie (http://bra.pe/XYLq/).

The support is amazing. The whole design is probably overkill for smaller cup sizes. But I can imagine that it works very well for a pair of large, heavy boobs. Mine aren't very big but quite dense and heavy so it feels really nice to get this level of support. The gore is very high: It measures 7.5cm which is about as high as my Cleo Kayla (http://bra.pe/XYLt/). But considering the gap at the bottom of the band it is more like 10cm.
It tack very firmly and anchors the upper part of the cups to my sternum so there is no jiggling even when I run or jump. But it also pokes me a little when I try to slouch. The lower elastic of the band is also crossed over in front and attached to the wire channels which makes the center part more rigid.

The cups are almost completely closed on top. It actually feels more like a full cup bra with wide set straps. They are made of two layers with the outer, blue layer for decoration. The lower ¾ of the inner layer are made of a thick mesh that could probably stop bullets. The upper ¼ section is a little stretchy but still firm enough for me to do a handstand without having to adjust my boobs afterward. The wires are firm and quite tall at the sides. But they are narrow enough to follow my IMF without digging in. The band fits incredibly tight (more like a 27) but not in a pinchy or uncomfortable way. It kinda adds to the overall supportive feeling. I'm sure a 30F would be firm enough as well but on some super busy days I actually like having my bra as tight as possible. Quality is also great. I got my oldest one about 5 month ago and it still feels and looks like new.

I like the esthetic of this bra!

    • 1

I like the looks of this bra. Maybe I should check it out. Only thing is tall bras don't usually work for me. Based on your measurements it could work though... doesn't seem too tall based on cup height. I'd definitely try it if I found it at that price, that's for sure!

    • 2

      This is lovely!

    • 1

The only fault I found with this bra is that the outer fabric is really wrinkly. Some are worse than others (maybe manufacturing error) and I think it's especially true for soft tissue. I love the double layer for support I wish they hadn't discontinued it or at least improved the wrinkling with a new model. So much stretch lace around but not so many bras like this one.

    • letstalkaboutbras that's good to know, especially since I do have soft tissue. I noticed the wrinkling in the pictures posted actually. I guess it's sort of a moot point since I can't find one leftover online anyways.

    • 1

I think this bra is so pretty, and it looks great on you! I tried it, but it did not work with my tall roots. I was sad that I had to return it.

    • 1

      Thank you all so much!

@letstalkaboutbras Now I also see the wrinkling, dammit ;-).
My breast are very firm and the volume is perfect so I guess it could be worse for someone with soft tissue or if the cups are slightly too large. But a bit of wrinkling is probably unavoidable if you have two layers of fabric that are just connected at the edges.

@Wilderness1 It was a lucky find. I always stalk ebay for discontinued styles, especially http://stores.ebay.co.uk/lingerieoutletstore/ .
Sometimes they they have 28 or 30 bands for under 10 Pounds (14 $).

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

I previously tried a 30E - Panache » Cari Moulded Spacer Bra (7961), but the cups were too small. The band, however, was perfect in the 30". I knew that the band on this 28FF may be a bit tight when I bought it based on how the 30" fit (and from reading reviews), but I wasn't expecting it to be quite as firm as it is. I bought this one off ebay for a bit less than the 30F, so I thought it would be fine. I can fasten it alright without an extender, but ... I find it much more comfortable with the extender on the 2nd or even the 3rd set of hooks. The straps are fully adjustable and they have a J hook on the back, which is a nice feature since I don't have any racerback bras or other J hook bras currently. The detail on the band of the bra is pretty...the bottom of the gore comes up in an upside down V, which makes it look nice. The pattern on the gore and lower band is little circles. The shape that the bra gives is nice and rounded, but perhaps slightly minimized. The cups fit me perfectly! It's a great everyday bra really. I have a feeling I'll get a lot of wear out of this one because the cups fit so well and look great under a t-shirt. The cups have the spacer foam, which is flexible and not very thick.

Overall, it's constructed very well and is of excellent quality from what I can tell (only tried on so far). The comfort is great as long as I'm using the extender. A 30F would have been better of course. The appearance is okay being that it's beige, but this bra in another colour looked quite nice.

confused Same here! My current one in 28F is perfect in the wires and cup volume, but the top edge is just a little too closed off on me and gives me quadboob. But I just love it because it's so comfortable, and I always try to wear it with clothing where the quadboob won't be as noticeable lol

    Didn't fit

My shape: center-height, forward-facing, very close-set teardrop with tall shallow roots but max lower projection, very wide roots with lots of side fullness, and very firm tissue that pushes push-ups right back

This review is for the black/nude colorway I got from a reddit user who thought she had the Panache Idina Balconnet Bra (6961) , one I've been wanting to try for ages. This is an ok runner-up, though! I love the gores on plunges, even though they're never my shape, and this one is just as wonderful as always. Is there a bra out there that's shaped like a Freya/Fauve half-cup but has a gore ... like a plunge? So far, that answer is no, so I try regular plunges instead! This one is quite tall for a plunge, but it doesn't feel like it when it's on.

The cups are very soft and smooth inside, which is great because I inevitably have problems with inside-cup seams scratching, and the foam lining is about as stiff as padded bras but without the boost in volume, so they're supportive and good for discretion and minimizing stair-bounce. Like most plunges, they are shallow-ish at the wire, causing the bra to ride down fairly quickly while as it tries to find the place with the most depth to accommodate my immediate projection. They also close more quickly on top than other plunges I've tried recently (or perhaps the band is a better size and keeps them more firmly against my chest, making it more obvious), so I get some serious quad boob that doesn't entirely dissipate after swooping and scooping. A 28G might solve all of this, though.

The wires are just on the firm side of the flexy-hard spectrum, which is nice for me. They are too narrow (again, might be solved by a 28G) and the wires are the wrong shape curve (typical, never had one that was right for my Nike Swoosh, not really a problem), but the sides of the cup are tall enough that my feisty side boob is mostly contained within them. The strangest thing, I think, is that there is almost a cm of space in the wire channel, but I can't push the wires out into it, so it's possibly sewn shut? Unless the previous owner did this to adjust her comfort, I've not seen it done by the manufacturer, and this still has the tags on it.

Ladies with long torsos or low-set breasts might need to watch out for the straps: I have them as long as they go, and they are just comfortable. Short ladies may like them, though, because they are fully adjustable. The band has 3 sets of 2 hooks, and is fairly snug on the loosest. It also has fairly tall wings, considering how far it tapers.

There is one spot that's bugging me, and it's where the "Panache" metal label is sewn on (not the tag, kind of on the side; see photos). Something is caught in the threads holding it on and it's scratching me. I'd probably just cut it off if I were keeping it.

Listing this one right away so I can start looking for a 28G!

  8. Ariza Balconnet Bra (5051)

This is for the turquoise colored Ariza
The cups feel firm, in that they don’t open much when they are stretched. The band is very tight for a 28. It’s nice, though I’m still using the middle or smallest hooks (depending on the day). It’s a balconette, but the cups are very full at the top, so not so great for full on bottom boobies. The straps are pretty far apart for me, and they don’t seem to attach to any part of the cup in a way that would provide uplift. You can follow the upward force or pull along the strap line, down along the elastic that ... runs back along the upper part of the cup under the arms. A side panel or something that attaches the strap to the bottom of the cup in some way would be better. The profile of this bra is really, really pointy, especially on my larger side. My “smaller” side is slightly more rounded (or less pointy, rather). The top lace also cuts in to the top of my larger side just a little bit when the strap is tightened (in a vain attempt to create uplift), creating a very slight flat, angled stripe down the top edge of the bra. This isn’t really enough to be noticeable under clothing, and I don’t really like the bra enough to try different sizes. I could probably take in the center gore and see if that helps, as it’s a little bit wide. The straps are NOT fully adjustable, and I ended up having to shorten them a little bit. Overall, not my favorite look but, that said, it is really comfortable.

I decided to try a Panache, and I have learned that I am not a Panache girl. As a result of the wide cups, the straps dig into my arms, just a bit, if my posture isn't perfect (or if I have my hands forward on the steering wheel in the car). If you haven't tried Panache, this may or may not be an issue for you - it's something worth trying, IMO, as Panache offers a variety of good bras. The band on this bra fits me wonderfully - it's comfortably tight on the loosest setting (and it's new - worn twice). The cups may be a ... bit big, I'm not entirely certain, but the plunge variety of this bra can be difficult to fit. This is certainly wearable.

On to the specifics of this bra:
The construction is great. I don't know the durability yet - I've only worn the bra once. The leaf stitching on the cups is quality, and looks nice. There's good detail work - the side of the branches with larger leaves has a different texture from the smaller leaves. It's clearly intentional and shows good attention to detail. The cups have an inner liner, so the inner side of the leaf stitching isn't against the breast. Still, the bra ends up being a bit itchy. The cups themselves are not nearly as comfortable as the cups on my Fantasie Smoothing Balcony Bras (even when both are new). However, the Tango II is a very popular bra, and it's possible this itchiness will work out of the bra as it breaks in.

This specific bra was labeled "teal" by FigLeaves. It's a very bright, vibrant color. I like it well enough, on its own, but I prefer my bras to be colors that I don't have to worry about showing. I bought this color because it was on sale - it was a cheaper way to try a Panache cup.

This bra SO PROJECTED. I feel like my boobs go forward so much because of the side slings, but they don’t go in nor up. Although my breasts are supported, I don't feel them being lifted up. I'm not used to wear full-cup bras so I feel like the top lace section is really large. It is stretchy so it doesn't cut into my top fullness and tall roots. The wires are slightly too wide for my very narrow roots, but not by much. The gore is too high and wide for my super close-set boobs so I am going to overlap it. There is A LOT of projection at the bottom of the cups, but not as much room in the centre in the top lace section.

An astonishingly bad fit. I ordered this from HerRoom, and I wouldn't say I had high hopes, but wow. The cup wrinkled, it wasn't projected enough, it wasn't narrow enough, it gave me bullet boobs, the gore cut in, the wires hurt, the fabric wasn't soft. Painful Panache is right! I'm glad that a lot of people like this bra, but it's not for me.

I can still remember how my breasts felt in this bra 11 years ago—split into three parts by those firm wires. Ouch.

It definitely requires a specific set of breast characteristics.

    • 1

Honestly I was one of those that "praised" the Tango in the past. But it was the first bra I was properly fitted in and the first that did give me proper support. It does well on large sizes for firm support. But it was never a comfort bra - the wires hurt so bad. I totally understand that you dislike it. I hope you can find a lof of better more comfortable bras.

    • This is one that keeps popping up in recommended bras to try, but I could never bring myself to wear a “bullet boob” bra lol. I’ve yet to try a comfortable Panache bra, other than the padded wire sport bra. Even then that one was like wearing an iron chest plate lol.

Band is nice and tight, 28 almost feels 26, which is huge plus. My wide rooted breasts sit in nicely and pretty close together without big core cap in the middle. 28F version of this bra was good on the cups, but cups weren't wide enough - this 28FF proved to be great - anf the cups aren't stil too large. This is a bra that has more cup space beneath ribcage without bursting breast forward, but it does not make me look too flat chested. Cups sit all the way tightly even now when I've worn this more, not leaving empty space on the top as Freya Deco. Being fabric coated shoulder straps are so soft and this fits so well maybe I wouldn't need them at all.

Lacking variety in color and decoratives it might seem dull and boring for many, but I think that Porcelain is simple and classy and best of all, it feels soft and lightweight on.

I decided to give the Panache Porcelain range another try after how awful the original porcelain bra fit on me, and this is just as disappointing. The main problem with the porcelain range is that the under-wires swoop down way too low and dig into my ribs. I've tried hiking the bra up, but it always ends up poking my ribs again. It's somehow both too small at the top of the cup and too large at the bottom, which I think is the shape of the wires again

Purchased for $39 USD from Figleaves in November 2012, retails for $59 in the US @ bareneccesities.

I love this bra. The band fits nicely on the loosest hooks without being too tight or too loose.

The top of the cups sit smoothly against my breasts, even on both sides and one side is quite a bit smaller than the other. There is absolutely no gap either, and it is very difficult to get no gap and no quad boob.

There is a nice rounded shape on profile view, I find lots of soft cups have a pointy shape from the side.

The straps are plain but that's nice to have some bras that don't have really thick straps.

I just got it so I ... haven't washed it so I don't know how it holds up over time, but it was my favourite out of the package of bras that came in the mail.

UPDATE: This bra no longer fits. In the last six months or so I have lost five pounds and 2-3 cup sizes.
I tried on this bra in a 28E as I loved my 28FF when it fit. The 28E fit my smaller breast amazingly (great lift, no gaps or wrinkles), but my larger breast looked very odd. The larger breast was almost pointing down. No amount of rearranging made it look nice, this cup was too small for the larger breast (a bit of cutting in at the top), but I am pretty sure a 28F would have been much too large. Since I can't go in a store and actually try them on (shipping fees add up) I decided not to order the 28F online, because I am fitting into some 28DDs so I can't imagine a 28F fitting. If I find a cheap 28F online one day, when I already have an order going and won't have to pay additional shipping fees, then I might get it and see- because I did love this bra.

I bought this size with the 30F to compare the two sizes and the band on this one is too small for me, but I found the band on the 30F slightly big. Even though I have space in the cup, it also cuts into the breast tissue so the cups are too small for me as well.

Look wise, it's not too exciting, but a good basic if it fits you. I bought nude to see if I could wear it under my thinner white t-shirts and although the colour is good, the embroidery shows a bit. Not a lot, but I'd have to wear a camisole over it to feel more comfortable. I think it would be fine under looser fitting shirts.

No Bratabase. This bra is DEFINITELY NOT for round, full or wide boobs /facepalm.
I haven't seen this one work out for anyone in the 28 band sizes at all so should have seen it coming, avoided the cries of woohoo holy cow SO MUCH SPACE. Lol there is ZERO SPACE HERE, but I can see it tried. Something.

So so close https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> First impressions, size appears to be close to current wears, and ... shape looks sufficiently deep from wire to apex. This bra is made of very lightweight slinky-smooth mesh, embroidery only on the outer facing side. Super thin yet sturdy. Has great breathability, but doesn't feel flimsy at all. The stretchy band begins directly AT the outer wire, there is no stabilizing material at the wing at all. This lack of crucial frame supporting the cup, bodes poorly for fit. The wire shape is a 100% match for my needs so count it a few sizes large for most people. However true to Panache spirit, wires are trash and cut in terribly under inner breasts, this would probably not be so bad if the top of the cup wasn't so tiny, and tight-fitted. Keeping the theme from the flexible wing, adding little bit of powermesh above the cup instead of the stingy non-stretch woven could probably have solved many fit issues here!

Cups are wide enough, deep enough for this size, yet the sparse rectangular upper cup panel is made much too short both vertically & diagonally. Upper cuts inward to top of breasts and this gets worse the longer it's worn (hint: it doesn't take long).
The top shape, is at odds with the bottom. Looking inside the bowl of the cup, seems made for a cross between short breast, inner full, and a somewhat detached-from-chest-wall/soft-loose volume at apex shaped design. As thought the sides of the cup are supposed to go concave and crush the outer areas of the breast into the center?
For a style that is not at all tall, narrow nor U shape, someone thought it would be hilarious to design the pattern as though it were! However, making the style plunge with a short J wire, this just pulls the shape flat on both sides and of course the top caves in badly.
While this is far deeper than anything else by this brand I've ever seen, it's pretty far behind polish design. Maybe a copycat of the Gossard Superplunge?
Tango's conflicted design expects both a tiny bust, but also a sort of a wide IMF across the bottom of an otherwise easy to vertically compress breast, with even narrower flat rise from underwire to the apex (7-shape)? It does seem to want a really rounded shape, but struggles to accept anything but a short root. Maybe this style is for anyone whose breast feel supersoft, center-heavy and think they are functionally just full on bottom?
This brings to mind the possibility of Tango's Plunge being a half-arsed attempt to placate the Omega's out here who are drastically overlooked. Not how I would do it, but ok.

So here I am, trying to shove a shape that's basically a huge wide tall root neither FOB nor FOT, with idiotic amount of immediate projection all around into this thing, which causes 2 issues:
-One side appears to not be large enough for my breast, then cutting in on top is exaggerated & fit too tight. Most of my outer breast pushes the cup down to get to the deepest part, and then my inner breast gets the worst of this stupid extra small upper cup panel. Outer breast quads back into itself on the bottom and apex begins to point down at the ground! Godddds.
-On the other higher set side, the cup initially fits properly but eventually seems to bind around outer breast & bag up underneath as the breast seeks the deepest part of the cup, pulling the tight too small upper panel inward and down which give me a strange projected duck bill' shape that sticks right outward from my ribcage. At an ugly east-west angle no less. My breasts stick forward 4" from where they begin at my armpits, and are very forward facing in everything else, so congrats Tango what an achievement. Well done.
While nowhere near as bad as the disgusting fit and feel of Panache's Boob Pancaker, the Andorra. This kind of misshaping has only happened to me before with the Gorsenia Orchid, which has a decidedly 50's conical shape to it. At least Orchid had the decency to not shove my breasts so hard apart from one another.

Removed the wires, fit is improved, but there is still an inch+ wide area from the gore though upper that's way too compressive. Added a set of hooks to the upper band to lace the upper away from collapsing down into my lower boob and causing massive diagonal quadding. While that helps with the force it still looks total shite.
I've not got the heart to try this in a 28G, then 28GG or 28H to see how far it takes to get the space needed, and will be saving this for sweaty nights when I don't feel like soaking to death in my ewa's.

In conclusion, yes probably a size up for most people, but can't shake the feeling this style could afford to be fuller & full-size friendly since such a reputation precedes it. From here out will utterly ignore such dire warnings about 'running a size large' because they apparently never apply to my fit needs.

    • I agree! I have this in a 28G I think that I've tried on and it was not a good fit for me. From what i have seen this is so hit or miss. I would now need. Smaller size but I don't plan on trying this one again personally.

IDK even know any more. Honestly with my ewa michalaks working in similar sizing & shapes, it really seemed like I could trust a functionally FOB fit with a known 'runs large' style, and not have to worry about even upper root getting in the way meganelaineshaw1 Everything right was there but somehow my boobs are totally wrong yet again. Really to assume it's how not-squishy they are that's making this whole process harder than it needs to be. It's been baffling how so many styles that should work give 'not big enough' symptoms. Where is the problem coming from now.

I got this bra from Sonya - thank you!
This is my second bra in this size and it's the black colourway. I sort of spoiled the surprise for myself by snatching the magenta one up on sale. While they both are a great fit (best so far, along with my 30FF - Panache » Loretta Plunge (6686) ) this colour, while measuring tighter, feels the perfect amount of snug. The wires rode down after an hour or so and threw everything out of alignment, but I hiked it back up and felt comfortable again.
This is still being made as far as I know ... which is good news since the Loretta is discontinued. It seems to be out of stock in my size almost everywhere but it might just be about to release a new season.
I noticed in the pictures that the lace on the band wants to flip up, so I guess I'll just let it https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Both colours fit exactly the same in the cup - laying flat across the top, enough projection, extra space in the bottom and sides, gapping in the straps when I slouch. This one is a little easier to move in, but that might be I hiked it back up when it slid down whereas when the magenta one slid down I reacted with confusion and eventually changed.
All in all Panache has been a series of wins for now - could be I find something without these small issues farther down the road but quite happy and comfy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> not a sleep bra by any means but a sexy, natural-looking everyday bra. Hopefully they'll last a long time, and when my size is back in stock for a decent price I am hoping to get a pearl or nude-to-beige colour.

    • I'm so glad it fits. It looks great on you!

    • It looks good but maybe something about the side view like you said. I’m wondering if it’s either too closed off on top or if you need a bit more room in the cups. I’m leaning towards taller roots. Maybe post a fit check?

    • 1

      Thanks Sonya!!
Calluna I just might! I could use some help.

    • 2

Tall roots. To me it looks like your roots are going up toward your collar bone. If you pick your boobs up and hold them up do you have any kind of distinct line? Short roots kind of look like a lower case b from the side.

    • 1

Sovavosi wow I had no idea, but looking at them now I can see what you mean. I have a lot of, how do I say it politely, extra skin :D when I pick up my right boob especially it's a pancake, and folds pretty much where the lace in the picture cuts me off. I've had such bad self esteem throughout my teens and 20s (had to delete my rambling here) but something about nicer fitting bras is really helping me start my 30-mumbles the right way.
So might be sagging convinced me there was less boob than there was..

Actually it does. Earlier when I was on reddit I glanced at this but after a closer look I can see the line on the tall root goes all the way up the ribcage. That looks like mine.

    • 1

Welcome to the Tall Roots team! :D I'm glad you're happy with the bra but Ive had same issue with Andorra and personally decided never to have one as there are other that fits me better!
Im similar size to you - 30FF/32E-F. if you would like some recommendations on which bras works better with tall roots feel free to message me :)

    • Cute one ! Deliciously retro shape and upper lace trim. A bit reminescent of how balconettes used to look back then.

As for lastng, a gentle wash every second day should take care of sweat deposits which have the reputation to damage elastc fabrics.

    • I really liked the Andorra, I found them to be pretty and comfortable! If you decide you want more keep an eye on eBay! I have tall roots too, your pictures look like you do.

    • Haha, thanks :) femineaaeterna I never knew that's why you hand-wash, I'll do that more often now! I do like the shape. martka00 lol I've already messaged you questions ! veggiechic I might just buy a few more as soon as I see white/pearl/pink/nude on ebay/amazon/here for under $25. No clue why amazon has some sizes $15 and some $200.
I found that yesterday I was switching back and forth between the two bras because the wires are different kinds of firm. Suppose that is because they haven't been broken in.

    • namedoesntmatter really? :D cannot remember hahah!

    • martka00 lol I meant today! whoops!

    • namedoesntmatter i did not get anything yet :-)

    Didn't fit

So I made it to LA after a full day of travel yesterday (partly because we opted to leave a lot earlier than we actually needed to but we were cautious in case of weather delays) and I convinced hubby that we should grab a lyft to Jenette Bras on Santa Monica Blvd today, as the convention officially starts tomorrow, making today a free day for us. He was quite happy to stay out in the waiting area as they were playing a great Spotify playlist of his favourite stuff and they had a photography book that had lots of musicians he liked (book was by a fellow ... that was a photographer for a lot of musicians in the early 80s or something like that). They pretty much took my word for my size and evaluated the fit of the bra I was wearing today (65FF BM Cabernet). She agreed that it fits me well, but did tighten the straps some. She pulled out a few things from the drawers and I went out to them and grabbed a few. One of the ones that she grabbed was a 28G Envy in a beautiful blue...close to navy but with maybe a tinge of teal. I’ll have a look at it to find out what the official colour is called. I will review this one next. On my own, I went to look at the drawers in my size range and pick out some stuff, and I came across Jasmine in caramel, a bra in a size that I’ve actually tried before (but never got any pictures of up here).

Now traditionally, Envy and Jasmine have not been my friends. They are too projected at the apex, and in the case of Envy, too tall. However, I have had some growth since the summer and it’s evened me out some with a little bit more tissue/volume on top that I have not had prior. My lack of upper tissue and softer, pendulous, fob breasts is often a problem for this kind of bra style, so I usually end up with a bit of a pointy shape because I just sink into the cups and fill the space until it’s done and then I often have spread out so forward in that deep apex that I no longer have enough tissue to round out in the bra on top. Given that I am somewhat more full on top now than the last time, I thought I would try them again and see if it is still a shape mismatch or if it’s a better fit.

I have to say that aside from the band being a bit too tight, I filled out the cups pretty decently! I don’t know if I could use a larger cup or not (given my fit experience with the 28G Envy), but in this size, I am getting a fairly rounded shape by contrast to the earlier tries before the new growth and increase in upper fullness. There’s a bit of wrinkling at the wire but it didn’t seem to feel like it was horribly shallow. My pictures do look a little bit weird because I have a bit of stretch lace that is bunched up and not smooth near the gore on one side, but I fixed it after the fact and I think that it’s a decent fit. It does look like maybe it’s a bit too small in the pics but it’s probably just the not smooth lace. So just imagine that it is smooth against my skin. I don’t know what a 28G, 30F or 30FF would fit like, but I feel like maybe it’s a style worth reconsidering again and possibly experimenting with. For whatever reason, they only carry Panache in the 28 bands so I could not try a 30 band. And, at least in the lighting of the store, it’s a decent colour on me for a nude/flesh/skin tone. It’s a soft and light bra, and I would wager it feels a bit better than the Envy.

For reference, see my 32DD review. I’ll see if I can find it and link it.

    http://bra.pe/XZue

Also, I found the Imgur album from last March when I tried on this exact bra! Same size and colour! I added screenshots from the the album to the gallery here. What a huge difference!

As with the Envy, the big question is whether I’d buy one, and I think that the answer is rather dependent on the size, colour or print, and price. I feel like I might be able to wear it !well under my work uniform decently. I really do like a lot of the colours and prints that Jasmine is available in, so if I can do it now, it’s a plus. This also opens up the possibility of the Hettie and Kayla working for me as well.

OK I can't really see well enough in the blue Envy pics but here it is plain--that wrinkling at the base of the cups is a clear sign of too much lateral tension IMO. I think the band is at least a little bit too tight to allow good cup fit here. Maybe with an extender you'd see the breast settle more easily in there, idk.

    • Lovely rounded shape! It might just be due to the stretch lace not being smoothed out (and the tiny phone photo view I have) but it actually looks a bit small in the cup to me.

    • 1

I definitely think that it’s a much better fit than before, and in comparison with the Envy that I tried on, though I think that some of the fit flaws are results of the band being too tight. I did not grab any pictures with the extender on.

    • It definitely doesn't look bad. If you could get it to be comfortable then it's a contender for sure.

    • Looks a smidge too small to me as well. Pretty though.

    • I was curious about the next size up but there wasn’t one. Once I unfurled the one bit in the stretch lace it appeared to fit me better. Still, the curiosity lingers.

    • If I can find a 30F/FF at a good price, I might consider it, but I don’t know if I am getting the better shape because it’s a tighter band.

The color of this bra is very ordinary grey, not too light, not too dark. The band and the cups are true to size. Ava gives not perfectly round but more natural shape. My breasts are supported enough, but I'm not sure about bigger size, as the lace is very soft and elastic. I like that it's a plunge stile, so the gore is quite low and the wire channels are overlapped, but Ava doesn't give cakes on the plate view.

By the way, undies run bigger. I usually wear S in cleo's, but here S was way too big for me, so I reordered XS, and it still is not a perfect fit for me. I'd prefer XXS ( that doesn't exist)

I love this bra. It is very comfortable and supportive and gives great shape. It is a little small in the centre, i.e. near where the cups meet in the centre my breasts bulge over the cup a little, butit doesnt show a bump under clothes, so I wear it anyway. Is a good everyday bra. Nothing fancy to look at, but good, everyday bra especially for under tight tops.

It is nice and firm - i think a true 28

Update - i bought this bra at the bginning of my bratabase journey and have since tried soooo many more bras but recently bought another one of these as i haven´t really found anything else that fits as well as this. It isn´t perfect - there is still some bulge in the centre but as i have tried more bras i realise this happens alll the time for me and at least this is supportive and comfortable. I would love to have something prettier and more fashionable but this is still the bra that I wear most often.
