    Didn't fit

Cups too small : ( Band is good though.

I guess today I am a 30FF, or possibly even 30G, it's hard to tell.

This was part of my amazon order. Perhaps I'm having a big boob day today; it's hard to tell b/c my weight fluctuates.

Edit: 3-24-21, I just read on the ABTF Facebook Page that Panache Jasmine has shallow cups?? Interesting...Perhaps that's why the cups looked horrible on my shape, the 32E Panache Jasmine cups were better, honestly, although it was a different colour (black) but it should be the same cup size as 30F Panache Jasmine in Caramel, but the 30F in Caramel seemed to ... fit much worse in the cups. So much so that I didn't even want to post pictures! The cups didn't fit at all, and it was *not* flattering on my shape!

So, I'm not sure why the cups seemed to fit so much worse in the Caramel Jasmine 30F vs the Black Jasmine 32E, they should've been the same cups size, amiright? They were both too small, but maybe the Caramel one just looked worse b/c of the colour, idk. End of rant...

Regarding the projection of the Jasmine, I believe it’s more that the Jasmine is known to have lots of APEX projection (projection at the deepest part of the bra). But it doesn’t have good IMMEDIATE projection (projection at the bottom wire). I think this is why there’s lots of contrasting comments about it’s fit — i.e. some people find it great for projection whilst others find it shallow. How great it is for you is dependent on where you need the projection.

People often don’t specify ‘where’ when talking about projection in bras. That’s what I realised when I was confused about why bras people were calling “great for projection “ didn’t work for me: because I need lots of immediate projection.

    • 1

Rozelyna , ohhhh, I see....the plot thickens and my bra fitting adventure gets even more complicated...

I guess I'm going to hold off in trying to find my perfect fit in the Jasmine a.t.m.; I'm supposed to be getting some Comexims in the mail tomorrow that I ordered from Breakout Bras - it takes a little while for bras to arrive b/c I'm located in Canada. So, figures crossed I can find a bra with more immediate projection.

But tackling Comexim sizing seems to be a whole other ball of wax...lol. We'll see how it goes (not that you asked!)

Thanks for the feedback!! : )

    • 1

Rozelyna , but thanks!! This bra looked *so bad* on me...and I was just trying to figure out why - you made me feel much better!

      I don't have my PhD in Bra Science yet.../s. Lol. : )

    • 1

I hope you do find bras with more immediate projection and that your Comexims fit! I haven’t managed to get my head around Comexim sizing yet and get a good fit in one.

And don’t worry, Jasmine is way too shallow at the bottom wire for me too — even when I sister size up in the band.

I can’t help but laugh when I look at the pictures of me wearing this bra. 😂

If I needed a bra to feel super ~nasty~ in, this would be it!

For real though, this bra is very narrow but not uncomfortably so. It’s SUPER projected and gave me bullet boobs. I literally had a shelf sticking out from my chest! 🤣 It gives that nice Marie Antoinette look, except I was probably 1 cm away from falling completely out of this bra. Obviously 36G is too small for me. I’m willing to give this another try in a 36GG and 36H because with all the obvious fit issues aside, I kinda like the look this bra gives me (the bullet/shelf boobs, not the nips falling out all over the place part).

    • This comes out almost cartoonish, but manages to do so without being grotesque.

    • To avoid ambiguity, I do mean in a way some people strive for, not in a pejorative way.

    • 1

engineer right?! It almost looks Jessica Rabbit-like.

    • Exactly who I had in mind. If you were going to cosplay her, this would be the bra to do it in.

This bra threw me off at first, it doesn't raise your breasts up in the way that most do, by cupping them. This "directs" them so that they stick straight out. I laughed when I put it on and paraded around our house as Wonder Woman, to the amusement of my fiance. It looks good with a shirt on, awkward with a fitted or tight one though. The center gore comes up a little high and pokes my left breast and the side underwires are starting to poke now too, although I've gained a little weight that could be the cause. Overall, it fits my bell cups pretty well and I'd say the separation in front is the perfect amount, if high.

I’ve already had a bra in the same size as this, but opted to try it again. It’s a really nice print - black with a subtle pattern (paisley flower is the description).

This one felt a bit snug, possibly looser after a few wears and washes to get the starch out, and the cups almost felt too small. My nipples were sitting a little bit higher than the apex of the cups and it was fairly low coverage on me. That said, a size up might compromise the shape I’m getting from this since I have shallow upper fullness. The stretchy upper is definitely nice and accommodating. It’s still not an uber round shape on me, but better than I used to get in it.

Ultimately, the wires are still hard and the gore is tall. It’s a beautiful bra and something I want to like because it’s always in cut styles. If the gore was a little bit lower, I could probably make do with the firmer wires.

    Fits

Many volumes have been written about this bra, so I won't belabor the typical comments. I, like others get a more pointy shape with Jasmine. There is ever so slightly too much projection at the apex for me.

I was comparing this to other bras in my drawer and happened to notice the cut of this is similar to my Kinga Michelle (http://bra.pe/XZnc/), but that bra seems to fit me almost perfectly right now (new pics added today). The cut of the lower cup on the Kinga seems to gives a rounder shape, but then again, I think it's technically a cup size smaller. That ... said, they are only measuring 1cm difference in depth, and the Jasmine has more stretch while Michelle's fabric is firm.

All in all, not bad, not great. I think I would fit better in a 32FF in this model. In the mean time, I'm planning on a minor alteration to remove some fullness at the apex.

Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft.

    Didn't fit

So after putting this bra in the "does not fit" drawer, and trying it on with a non-stretchy extender, I've changed my mind.

This bra is really comfortable! (after bending the gore... The gore hurts pretty bad if it's not bent, but now it's perfect)

This is the only bra I've got that is actually the right height cup for me (besides Hettie... but Hettie's almost a Jasmine clone). Most bras I have thought "fit" for example Panache Tango Plunge and Freya Fancies plunge balcony are actually too wide and high for me. I feel so supported in Jasmine and it looks great really.

I've found since trying on some of ... my 'does not fit' bras with an extender, I've been learning a lot about what I really need in a bra.
The wires on this bra are a good width on me, they no longer poke under my armpit (thank you extender!). I do have a little bit of wrinkling on the bottom of the cup, but this fits me so well in other areas that I'm happy to but that aside. I often struggle to fill out bras near my armpit because I seem to have no fullness there, but since the cup on this is short it works well for me.

The straps are a little widely spaced but I can hardly complain, I think this bra is so great. I get a nice rounded shape under clothes. Sometimes I tend to get a 'torpedo' shape in other bras (Hettie why do you do this to me!) but this one is nice and round. Looks great under low necked tops too.

    Anyways...

I think this bra is as close as I've gotten so far. I think I could buy the 36F but honestly I have two perfectly good 34FF's that I can wear with extenders.
The black colour is perfect for my needs and it's really sturdy, well made and keeps everything in place thanks to the ever-so-forgiving stretch lace at the top of the cup.

One of the many Jasmines I have tried. I no longer have the pics of the 28F and 28FF Jasmine but if I can find them somewhere, or the old imgur album is still open for it, I'll share, but really....the fit is the same. It's nice and round from the front and even the angle a little, but the side view is pointy because the cups are too deep at the apex so my tissue just sinks into the cups, bottom up, and by the time it reaches the stretch lace, there's not enough tissue/volume to fill the top out. The gore is also a bit wide. ...

It's sad, really...I'd love for Jasmine to work to the point where I am almost tempted to try her again now that my size has changed some and I feel like I am somewhat fuller, but I have my doubts.

Just the first of several bras I have tried on in stores that I have pics of on my phone that I want to clear out, so I'll be adding them here for future reference.

The most heartbreaking hing about Jasmine is that all the colourways are so beautiful!
If this bra fit I would be buying every single one of them.

    • What a difference between the front and side view!

    • Right? So heartbreaking. The Envy is the same but worse because it's taller. That's coming later.

Often FOT-friendly boobs look rather pointy on FOB boobs. But it also very projected, which can look pointy if you are used to foam domes (molded cups)

    • 1

damn - i'm not all here. FOT-friendly BRAS can look pointy on FOB boobs. Its been harder to find the edit button recently?

    • 3

The Jasmine tends to look a bit pointy on anyone who isn't very FoT. I actually like the shape, but if this fits you well and you'd like a rounder profile, you should give the Cleo Marcie or Cleo Hettie a go.

    • 1

I second the recommendation for the Cleo Marcie- that gives me a great naturally rounded shape and some crazy amazing lift. Plus it's super cute and comes in a million colors.

    • 1

Scarl3tt3 This color is gorgeous on you!!

    • Jasmine is a bit pointy on me as well, but not nearly as bad as Tango or Andorra. I think it looks lovely on you. I third the recommendation for Marcie/Lucy Cleo bras for rounded uplift. I'm shallow and they manage to make me look rounded.

Best fit for me so far in Panache (I've tried almost 50 bras, including Panache & Cleo's in the last 2 months - I'm dead serious about finding a good bra!) but greatly lacking in comfort and only moderately rounded for my shape.

I vary b/t 28 & 30, the band was loose enough to wear on the 3rd hook right out of the box.

    Had some firsts -
    1) band beneath the wires constantly folded under and chafed my skin -
    2) rigid, fully adjustable straps were painful, chafing & dug in from the start, despite reasonable support from the band!

Very strange. By far the most ... uncomfortable Panache bra I've tried. Oddly, the pink version, which I tried in a 30H, didn't have any of these issues, so maybe it's just this one bra? Or the black colorway? I may try the 28JJ in PINK....

The cup shape is decent for FoT's like me, but only gave a rounded shape when I fully scooped & swooped and pulled the elastic lace up and over the tops of my breasts. After walking around a bit, the lace retreated back down the cups, giving that oh-so-desirable elf slipper/quaddy look. Boo. If I do go a band size down and a cup size up, I'm pretty concerned that the wires will widen, and this bra was already on the edge of too wide for me.

So appreciate any advice re: this bra, and sizing down the band & up the cup - I'm pretty desperate.

Also, I've noticed that no matter how well I fill or overfill the cups on most bras, I still have a gap where the strap meets the cup - Is this due to my very narrow shoulders or is this a "root" thing? (Haven't quite figured out the whole root thing yet.. I also feel like my boobs & bra should sit a couple of inches higher than they do...like the underwire should be sitting higher even when it's tight enough... )

Maybe I should open a fitting request.... lol

or at the very least post some pics. but yes, a fit request is always good

    • also, esp considering your name - have you tried Comexim? or Ewa Michalak?

    • Hi! The 2 pics above are of me in this bra... and no, I haven't tried Comexim or EM or the other Polish brands yet. I just created my account yesterday, after trying pretty much all the UK & US bras around my size and sizing out of the ones that worked for my shape. :( I'm Thinking Anna Pardal first....

    • i dont think they'd been 'approved' when I posted lol. I mostly size out of comexim (except basic) and I dont think they'd really work for me, but i'm waiting for my 3rd EM

I wonder if a half cup would help w the digging in? The cups look high on you. I love that blue color tho

    • 1

Good luck with your EM! :) And you're absolutely right about the half cups - they are the only shape that works for me, and I can't find any in my size +/- 30HH-J/28J-JJ except the CK & Flirtelle kind that splay me east-to-west and have waaaay too much wire for my frame. that's why I'm going Polish! lol

    • Yeah this is too small for you. When you say you don't like wide wires is this because they actually cause pain, or because you've read that narrow boobs require narrow wires? If all the other stars align, it is usually very possible to get a good fit despite too-wide wires as long as they don't hit you in a bad spot and cause pain.

    • 1

wendybien My issue w/ wide wires is that they usually come w/wider cups which always chafe the side of my boob and underarm. That, and just needing a more upfront, lifted shape for comfort & style, which I don't get when the wires don't push me upwards and to the middle. If I found a bra that got it done w/wide wires, I'd buy 100 and call it a day! :) Any recs?

    • Floris is my fave, but it doesnt come in a 28 band. (Most of the 32J pics are me lol)

    • 1

dbmamaz Tks for the tip all the same! I'm looking at altering the band on bras that almost fit, so Floris might end up being an option. Glad you found a go-to!

    • So, chafing like that is not strictly down to the width of the cup. That happens when the cup is too tall at the side AND extends out below the arm. Even women with wide roots who need the extra cup width can have this problem.

The way to control for this when you are searching here on Bratabase is to set appropriate numbers for "Wing Height" and "Wire Length." If these are set low then you will get bras that have low sides and shouldn't bother your underarms.

The other thing you need in a bra would seem to be room for center fullness, so once you've searched with the above criteria then you can cross-reference with the reviews to see which ones are generously built near the gore.

    • wendybien Ok! I'm glad to know about wire length - it does make sense as a consideration. I had been trying to avoid chafey bras just by looking @ wing height. Re: center fullness, when you say "generously built near the gore" does that refer to how deep or full the cups are?

    • Yes you need them to have lots of depth near the gore to accommodate inner fullness.

  10. Another boob hug bra!
I need the second or third hook on this bra, but it's lovely anyway!
I love the fabric and feel like this is the 'green' shape equivalent to the Panache Andorra. It is less full coverage-y than the Andorra and can accommodate more fullness on top, if you need it. Seriously, if this bra came in a 28 band I would buy all the colorways! I think it might run 1/2 to a full cup large, because I'm usually a 28F and the cups very fit nicely.

The only tiny problem (like usual) is that the gore is slightly too wide causing a slightly uncomfortable feel and prolonged red marks where is sits on very shallow breast tissue. This happens in every full-cup bra I own, even Comexim. It's not really a big deal, just something to mention. I always count a bra as fitting if that's the only problem, because I would need narrow, overlapping wires in order for the to be fixed - and there are only very few bras that do that.
