A nearly perfect fit for my wide, FoB 1/5 breasts despite my usual size being 32FF! Gore is tacked, cups are filled with no gapping, wires are supportive and not diggy. Straps are fully adjustable but wider set than the Panache Andorra (full cup) - this seems typical of balconettes. Note: horizontal seam is noticeable under thin flowy shirts - I imagine it would be quite obvious under a fitted t-shirt. The lace is beautiful and not scratchy at all - does seem a bit delicate though! I snagged a (short filed) fingernail on the lace trying to take it off!

The Envy is a stylish unlined bra with plenty of projection at the base and center. I wanted to love this bra, particularly since it has an arched band at the gore (non-continuous band), which is great for my stomach pain problem (most full bands can make me feel sick at certain times of the day from even light pressure under the gore). The stretch lace is extremely soft and comfortable, while the lower part of the cup lifts and holds strong with double layered mesh. Still, there are a few glaring reasons why this bra isn't for me, at least not in this size:

    1) Shape
It's not a ... bullet bra, but for me it comes close! My tall roots combined with a lack of upper fullness/firmness make the apex of the bra point out in a shape I can't deal with. I have this problem in a lot of brands, but both the Envy and the Jasmine have had too much point to them for my aesthetic preference.

    2) Width
I get 5.5" inches for cup width, but the wires do go all the way back, practically behind my armpits, so it feels even wider. I know my ribcage isn't the design standard, but this is weird!

    3) Center gore
The gore on the Envy, as with many other Panache bras, hits me right in the sternum. Ouch!

The band was surprisingly a little loose for a Panache 32, so I do plan on trying this bra again in a 30F just for "science". A cup size down may make the pointy issue a little less noticeable.

Oof, so close. Dat gore, doe.

First, the good. Nice, everyday bra with narrowish wires, go odd immediate projection, and stretch lace upper cups. Not a cleavage bomb, but sometimes you need that. Runs true to size in band, maybe a size big in the cup, depending on your shape. Fabrics are comfy and look okay under a thin shirt. Cups are a touch wide for me (as evidenced by the wrinkling), but the straps are fine, so it's not a dealbreaker.

All of this would be terrific if I had at least a finger's worth of room between my breasts. Since the space between my breasts is more like an air molecule, this height/width combo means owwwwwwwwww and a wee bit of quadboob. (Hits me right on the sternum fibro trigger point, too. The pain lingers!) If this was as narrow as the Lily's gore but still this low, it'd be a keeper.

    Used to fit

My measurements for reference: snug 32, BTT 30.5, standing 38.5, leaning 41, lying 39. Pendulous, projected, narrowish shortish root, FOB/even (I think). I have a lot of outside fullness.

This was my first bra that fit (I've had it for several months now). The Caramel colour is a decent nude, if a bit dark for my skin tone. I chose it because of the stretch lace, mainly, because I had an Andorra that I loved although it was far too big for me once I stopped breastfeeding. This is less lacy and more business-like than the Andorra, but not too plain. The main part of the cups has ... a subtle houndstooth pattern, which gives it a little interest.

When I first put this bra on, it is perfection. Seriously. In that moment, I think, I will just keep buying this bra and no other forever. Band is comfortably snug, the gore tacks, the wires are a good width, the cups fit like a glove on BOTH sides, the side panel pulls in my outer fullness, and it gives me a lovely lifted round shape. It's comfortable. The seams are smooth and don't show through anything. I mean, what else could you want, except to have it in every colour?

However, by the end of the day, that lovely soft material and stretchy lace get tired. The lace starts to flap just a little bit near the gore. I won't say my boobs sag, exactly, but they're certainly much more relaxed than they were in the morning. The shape is still decent, more natural than round at this point. It still looks fine under the clothes. It just disappoints me a little when I take off my shirt.

The stretchy fabric is what gives the fabulous fit, of course, but the flip side is that it doesn't seem to hold up so well over time. (And yes, I hand wash my bras always!)

That being said, it's still one of my favourite bras. I will definitely buy more, but probably won't pay full price.

    • I have a black one that's on my "Get around to making a listing" list if you are interested. Only worn 2-3 times.

    • I remember you also said in your comment yesterday that the Envy's fabric kind of gives up on you over the course of the day. I was surprised by that, because even though we have similarly sized breasts (30FF here), that has not been my experience with either of my Envys ("nude" and cassis).

I think this is where shape/tissue consistency comes in, since I have firm tissue (hardly any difference between my standing, leaning, and lying bust measurements) and a self-supporting bust. So the bra has less work to do on me and keeps its shape over the course of two wearings between washes. At least that's the best explanation I can come up with.

    • plutonium743 yes, I might be interested! I need a black bra.

    • Mareka I most definitely don't have firm tissue! So that is probably the issue. I'm making my poor Envy work too hard :)

    • I'd like to add that depending on how much of a 'puller and tugger' you are over the course of the time you're wearing the Envy (or any bra that features stretchy lace in the upper or entire bra cup), that can affect whether or not it gets a bit 'floppy' towards the end portion of a single wearing. Sometimes it's unconsciously getting adjusted by the wearer, especially if they are moving around a lot and thus want to make sure their boobs stay in the bra. If you're new to wearing bras in the right size, habits that were developed when you were wearing a not-so-ideal bra size sometimes need a conscious effort to break - I know that's been true for me. In the wrong size I was constantly fiddling and adjusting my bra trying to not only be comfortable but to compensate for its moving, pinching, and general weird sensation. I catch myself doing that on occasion now that I've figured out my size range, even when there's nothing needing to be adjusted.

Me:FoT, narrow and tall root, average projection, splayed.

The band and cups are quite comfortable on this bra. It gives me a nice uplifted shape and the lace on top accommodate my upper fullness well. The band is a little bit loose because I sister sized up from my usual 30FF since the store didn't have my size. Overall this bra is amazing https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This is not a great fit for me. The band is too tight and I've learned, per my Marcie fitting help request, that this distorts the fit of the cup. I've got vertical pulling going even on my fuller breast, empty space at the bottom, too high and wide gore, and too wide straps. I'd have to try going up a band size/down a cup size to judge it more fairly.

The lace is pretty and soft, though.

    Fits

I love the fit of this bra! For once the wires are wide enough without poking anywhere, the band is snug enough on the loosest hooks so it won't be stretched out by next month, the cups contain everything without any wrinkles or cutting in, and the material is soft not scratchy!

My boobs start somewhat under my arms and are pretty much equally full top and bottom. I'm 5'1" and short in the torso as well, making bras hard to fit. This bra manages to corral my boobs to a more front and outward projection, which I'll admit makes them look bigger on my frame, but I'm ok with that as long as the bra is comfortable (which it is!).
