  1. This is the bra that I would recommend for a woman trying to find her first correctly fitted bra online.

It's extremely supportive and probably provides the most perky shape of all my bras. It's almost a little retro! However there are no stiff seams at the nipple so it's not overtly pointy.

The lace on the top of the cup is very stretchy. The band is firm but also very stretchy and moves as you breathe nicely.

I can wear this bra in a few sizes and there are no obvious fitting flaws. It's the most forgiving bra I've tried. The lace is firm but stretchy and won't dig in. But in the 30G (my standard bra size) this is the most comfortable.

That's why I'd recommend it to a first timer desperately trying to self fit and paying a small fortune in online returns: you'll get close to your perfect size and still be able to wear the Andora comfortably. For your 2nd bra you can work on something more exacting in the fitting department!

    • Oh this explains it! I'm not the only one getting away with fitting Andorra in different sizes :D I thought it was just me. I could never get away with other bras like this. It's truly superior yes!

    • 1

I am in a place where there are no brick and mortar shops. I can order online, but returning is next to impossible. I was very discouraged when I first ordered a range of sizes in another bra and none of them fit. I got them on a sale but still. I read online reviews that said that the Andorra was quite forgiving but was still uncertain. Your recommendation helped me make up my mind (as someone desperately trying to self fit) and I have not regretted it. I ordered two sizes and they both fit. And for myself, I like the perky shape as well. In the future, I might experiment with some other bras, but I will definitely order this again. Or I might also try the other elastic lace Panache models.

Thank you for a good recommendation.

  2. I've found the perfect bra for me! Ok, well maybe I could do with a 28H because the cups are a little on the small side, but the fabric is so stretchy that it doesn't matter. I feel like this bra was made for me - the shape is perfect. I have bottom-heavy, high-nippled, wide boobs and it's hard to fit them into anything (the deco also works well, but the band is too big). But this fits like a dream! And it is very comfortable - no poking wires, no rough seams. The fabric is very stretchy and yet supportive.

The best thing, for me anyway, is ... the band. Most people seem to need to go up a bandsize in this bra - I usually have the opposite problem as being 25" around my ribcage, 28 band bras are to big on me. This one is by far the best fit I've ever had - it's more like a 27 than a 28, and I can wear it on the middle or loosest hooks which is a first! If you usually buy a 28 you'll probably find this band is too tight, but for those who need an ever-elusive 26, this is a good compromise. I currently have this in berry and white.

    Pros:
    - high quality
    - stretchy fabric
    - subtly sexy
    - small band size good for those who need a 26 or less

    Cons:
    - cups a bit on the small side, go up 1 or 2 cupsizes
    - band will be too tight for those who usually fit a 28
    - will not be flattering on all breast shapes

edit - I've requested fitting help with this as I've grown in both breasts and it no longer feels as comfortable. I still love it though!

    • Can you tell me how the pink and the white compare? I have it in pearl, black, and purple; the black runs a full cup size smaller than the pearl, and the purple is smaller than pearl too. I want to get a berry but I don't know how it compares! Are yours different from each other at all?

      Thank you!

    • The white is definitely smaller than the pink in this size. I can't wear either any more, but of the two the white is more like a G than a GG. I would say the berry (pink) is a true GG.

    • Thank you!

  3. I THINK I MAY HAVE FOUND MY HOLY GRAIL BRA! Or I'm a lot closer, anyway. I have never experienced a fit so perfect.
I fill the cups completely with the top edge making a smooth line, and the center gore lies flat against my sternum. The band never rides up even though I can fit a whole fist under it.
Whether what I have spilling out the sides -- as you can see in the back shot -- is escaped breast tissue or just fat, is debatable. But the underwire's placement is comfortable. My only concern so far is they way ... my belly causes the lace on the bottom edges of the cups to curl up at the bottom (you can see this in the front shot). I am open to suggestions on what to do about that.
I must also note that is comfortable lying down, which is important to me because I like to recline in order to relax. In my current living situation, that usually means just lying in bed.
Thank you, Bratabase! The last time I tried to get measured at a store, the woman doing so pronounced me a "big B." I had to take off my shirt to prove to her that I was wearing (and pushing out the center gore on) a DD-cup and she practically fell over in shock. Who knows how long getting to this size/cut combination would have taken without this website.

Omg. What was she trying to throw you in??? A 40B?????? I'm so happy you're finally comfortable and supported. You should see the way people look at me when I say I'm a 28D/DD...and I'm flat chested!

    • 1

I have avoided trying the andora because of that lace/belly issue. I try to only buy bras with a smooth bottom edge

    • 2

I've had luck cutting the lace off the bottom of bra bands.

    • 1

LeProfessor "Throw you in", is the perfect phrase for it. She tried to toss drakefish chest in some (any) thing then collect her paycheck! This is why I give the side eye to so many "fitters."

    • 1

I'm glad you found a fit that works well for you! It's a great feeling after so many mis-fits! I also have the same problem with bottom lace because my ribcage flares out. I'm not sure there's an answer. I just try to ignore it.

    • 2

Me too EmmaOh , lol. Very few fitters actually know what they're doing. I also wanted to note that I am quite thin and lace that extends from the bottom of bras curls up from my tummy too! I agree with Brash5 , I just try to ignore it. It's not like it is visible under clothing.
And hey, at least your 'holy grail' is still in production! Mine has been discontinued a LONG time (Mimi Holliday 28D & Claudette). Lol

    • I'm short-waisted (although I'm also 5'10") and honestly thought the lace would bug me - but it doesn't. It does curl up sometimes but I don't notice at all. It's also my holy grail bra.

    General comments:

This is the first bra I've ever tried that actually fits me perfectly. The band is nice and snug at the loosest hook, the wires encircle my breasts comfortably as they should , the cups are well filled out without wrinkling, spilling or cutting in anywhere, the shape they give me is natural but nice and rounded and not too East-West for a change, in short: everything is perfect!

    Bra description:

A handsome full-cup bra made out of black stretch lace partly underlined with a sheer, very smooth, non-stretch mesh. The whole appearance is quite delicate and subtly sheer. The 'side support slings' on the inside of the cups ... are made out the same smooth, sheer mesh material that is folded double so there's no rough, bumpy or overlocked edge touching the breasts.

    Fit:

As said, the fit of this bra is the best I've ever had of any bra. The band closes snugly without feeling constricting at the loosest hook, a very first for me. The centre gore stays lies nice and flat. The underwires are suitably wide (but not overly so) and they feel very comfortable. Apparently, a correctly fitting band DOES make all the difference https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

The cups give me a good shape, nothing dramatic, but I'm very happy with it. It's definitely the best I've ever had from a non-padded bra: supported and nicely rounded. I particularly like how my breasts are finally facing FORWARD, instead of their usual East-West. The stretch lace at the top of the cups is forgiving and does not cut in. Although I haven't worn it for very long yet, I feel can comfortably wear this bra despite my fluctuating size (breastfeeding).

The only thing to watch out for in this bra is to not tighten the straps too much. Pull them too tight ant the 'side support sling' will cause a slightly odd shape in the cups: a kind of indentation at the edge of the sling. My 'pear-shaped' breasts (relatively wide base topped with a puffy areola) actually HAVE an indentation at that point naturally so maybe this is something that isn't very noticeable in other breast shapes, but I though I'd mention it anyway.

    Appearance:

On me it is indeed a very full cup. I like the look and I'm not concerned with the lace showing under low-cut shirts as it's definitely pretty enough and I prefer seeing lace over cleavage anyway, but if that is not your thing then this is maybe not the bra for you. The bra is pretty and delicate and I just cannot believe how lovely and round my breasts look in it!

    Conclusion:

My favourite bra ever! Okay, so I haven't been around in the proper bra size world for that long as this is only my first 'real' bra, but it certainly is a good start https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

    Edited To Add:
I have now also added drop-cup nursing clasps to this bra which makes it even more perfect.

    • What exactly now again was your problem with Andorra later on?

    • Andorra cuts in along the cup edge. Also, it gives me a pointy shape when seen from the side, even though the cups seem half empty.

I should probably update the fit info I've provided here, because I've come to find the band too snug for comfort too.

This is my first time reviewing Andorra on Bratabase but I’ve tried it before when I was a 34HH and found out the hard way that the band and cups run small, so this time I tried sizing up.

Honestly, I probably didn’t need to size up in the cup, but definitely needed to size up the band. This bra was TIGHT. Actually, it was partially my fault- you’ll notice that I didn’t upload a back view picture of this bra and the reason is because when I was reviewing the pictures to add I noticed the reason I could only close one hook was because I had ... it hooked on the middle row. 🤦‍♀️ Either way, still way too tight for me.

The bra is made of lace and has a neat little side sling, I’m guessing to give more side support and bring the ladies forward.

The overall fit was meh, it was not the right wire shape and I have space at the bottom. The wires were also too wide. And the GORE. Holy hell the gore jabbed my sternum so hard! I’m normally having the opposite problem with bras lately so I was not psyched about that stabbing pain either.

I probably won’t try Andorra again, I’m just not a fan. It actually reminds me a little of Freya Fancies in construction and fit.

I recently bought this and returned it after wearing it for 6 hours. The wires are too hard. The non wired version feels better.

    • 1

Busty_and_Trans they were seriously so uncomfortable! I think Panache is known for hard wires but this one was one of the most uncomfortable bras I’ve ever tried lol.

Another sad fit, definitely too large in the cups but the band was actually okay. I knew Panache and Andorra in particular runs snug so I made sure to size up. Unfortunately I also sized up in the cups and it didn’t work out too well. Wires too wide, cups actually too wide and too separated which gave me an east-west thing going on there. Not a fan of the color either, but this one was already not a keeper anyway.

For more detail on the bra construction etc. see my review of the 36J - Panache » Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675).

    Didn't fit

I have a 27 inch snug underbust and 33.2 inch leaning bust measurement and the calculator said I was a 28E/F. I think I have tall, shallow, narrow roots. Centre full, splayed, projected and even fullness. I have never really worn proper bras before but after reading through abrathatfits and letting my tissue finish migrating with snug sports bras, I got this and two others from amazon. And it fits (IMO) really quite well. The cups are slightly to wide for me, and is perhaps a teensy bit too projected, but now I can use this to work out the sort of measurements I need (somewhere in the ... ballpark of 4.6-4.8 width cups, depending on the gore width, and a depth of 7.6-8.1) The gore is fine and not too wide, despite me being quite close set. I'd definitely recommend this for those who are even fullness and have a decent amount of projection, as it'd probably fit weirdly if you're full on top or have tall, not particularly shallow roots. Be aware it gives you a natural 'pointy' shape and is made of stretchy lace. No rounded cups here, though it has pockets in the cups for padding or whatever. If you have other bras you should pinpoint the fit issues, check their measurements on here and work out what you should try next. (Just because the calculator said you were such and such doesn't mean you should get that size on every brand and style of bra and it'll fit you with no issues!) anyway...This is a great bra, and I'm very happy to wear it. Just wish I knew it was sheer beforehand *cries* and could get it in heather. I had my heart set on that colour but they're all sold out. Any idea if they'll make more of them?

*edit* I have no idea what I was thinking. Actually, I do, I wasn't.
This Is waaaay to wide for me, by about an inch and a half on each side. The depth is good though. A shame because it is really quite pwetty.

Andorra is known to run a bit small in the cup. I recommend sizing up 1 cup size compared to your usual Panache size but mostly because that bra is insanely shallow on bottom.
I was about a 32K / 34JJ when I received this bra and of course it was too small. The wires were too short on the side / cups too short which ended up in some side spillage. I also got some quadboob despite the stretchy lace. So I would say the bra was about 2 cup sizes too small for me. The shoulder straps are very thin (although fully adjustable) and not very comfortable.
