Eh. I had a bad feeling sizing down in this but I read a bunch of reviews that FOBs should size down, and the way my 30GG - Panache Sport » Sports Bra (5021) fit I felt like that had some merit so... I sent back my 30GG and got a 30G instead.
Bad idea. If you are extremely FOB, with zero upper fullness, size down. If you are like me, FOB but with tall shallow roots, do not do it. As is obvious from the one angle photo, this bra is cutting into my chest at the collarbone fiercely. On my larger side it's pretty extreme, on ...my smaller side not as much but it's still happening. In some photos it doesn't look like it's happening but the thing about (any, not just sports, but sports especially) bras is, you're not stationary when you wear your bra. You move around, you raise your arms up, you pull them back, you lean forward, you lean backwards, et cetera, et cetera. So, moving around with this bra cutting in gets pretty damn uncomfortable at some point.
The band is comfortably snug, and the gore is a soft tack, being pretty tall it gets to be a bit too much cause the cups are having that push up effect so I get some buttcrack cleavage into which the gore cuts in as well.
Overall, a disaster. Maybe this bra is just not for me? Read more 130 more words

Yeah, I can't size down either. It's too tall but as soon as I size down or take the wires out it cuts in something fierce. IMO the wired style holds it open more than the wireless.

I really want this color too! I really appreciate your review, because I also have tall roots but FOB, and I was thinking I might need a cup size down to provide more stability/ support, but now Im not so sure, because I don't want cutting in. I just feel like the cups are a little empty on top and that will give my boobs more room to bounce in them. Not quite sure how to get it just right. Overall these panache sports bras are tge best I have found, and I really find it amazing what a nice profile they provide under shirts.
Yeah unfortunately the cutting in is really uncomfortable and the size is rly restricting too
IMO if you want to protect against bounce, compression sports bras are probably your best bet.

I kept it because sending it back again was very expensive and I didn't care to do it. I'm hoping it will fit at some point. Honestly for me sizing down didn't work because I have a lot of side issue and really tall roots and the cups on this are just too short for that. If your shape is different it might work for you.

My experience with "convertible" bras has always been that in their efforts to work well in multiple styles, they work great in none. This bra is another testament to that rule. While the colourway is fun and sporty, giving the bra a cool appearance, and the band fits great (29" ribcage, I found it TTS compared to Panache & Cleo), I had fit issues and RETURNED.
This bra was not meant for my breast shape. It is too east-west for me and did not support me in the middle, making it uncomfortable and poorly resistant to my bounce (I'd be better off with my old ratty cotton nylon sports ...bras that I've had for 6 years). I do not recommend this bra for someone with close set or projected breasts. It also digs into the top of my breast a little(not a huge deal, but confirms for me that this is a shape mismatch, not a problem of cup being too big). Meanwhile, the straps are too long on their tightest setting. The sides of the cups come up too high for me, digging into my underarm area, making this bra uncomfortable even for loungewear, and negating the possibility of shortening the straps. I also have an odd fit issue with the bottom of the cup.
The inner semi-molded layer folds over at the bottom of the cup, and this continues around the sides of the band. It is uncomfortable. I think it's because I don't fill the outer bottom area of the cup, and this bra wants boobs that are more shallow or FOB. If you prefer a wider gore (i.e. don't have close-set breasts) and aren't worried about straps being too long, you might like this bra. The fold mostly disappears when I convert to racerback, but I find the racerback extremely uncomfortable, as it causes the sides of the cup to dig in even further, and puts too much pressure on my shoulders, even with straps loosened.
This bra was a big fat fail for me. I'm hesitant to try the underwire version because of this bad experience, and because TONS of women on amazon reviews report the underwire poking through within the first few months of use with that one. I tried Wacoal Contour which also has underwire at Dillards in 32G US and it was WAY better than this. Although I wish they made it in 30H, I may get it. Read more 297 more words
Well, first of all, and most importantly – it supports!
The sizing runs quite large both in the cup and the band, so if you're between sizes, I recommend sizing down, or even beyond that. I first tried it in 70G, which already is smaller than the 70GG that mostly I use in Ewa Michalak. But even if the cup was fairly okay, it was way too big in the band and offered zero support.
The 65G (i.e. one size smaller both in the band and cup), on the other hand, is pretty much perfect! It passed my bounce and wiggle test with flying colours. ...I'll give you an update tomorrow after putting it through the ultimate test: horseback riding.
The band is okay, snug enough, although I can fasten it in the second hooks without it being too uncomfortable. Thus I might have to narrow it down in the future, but that's not anytime too soon, I hope. The cup might be just a tad too small for me (especially my right breast), but if that's the price for decent support, I'm definitely willing to pay!
The straps are wide and comfortable, but a bit too long for me – I always have to shorten the straps if they're not fully adjustable... But when the straps are fastened to an X with the extra hook between the shoulder blades, they're okay, and the support is even better.
As if it wasn't enough that there exists a sports bra in this universe that actually fits and supports even my size, the shape this bra gives is very nice! Not at all sports-bra-ey.
Edit: Now it's been tested in horseback riding, and I can confirm it works. Or at least I didn't notice any disturbing bouncing – of course my focus isn't on my boobs when I'm riding (and I'm wearing winter clothes), but if it were too bouncy, I think I'd feel it. I got this bra from r/Braswap. Since it is pre-owned, I think the band it a bit stretched out, as it stretches to 32 inches.
Unfortunately, the cups are too big and the shape is wrong. It's too bad b/c the colour palette on this bra matches with several of my running shorts! I read that this bra runs big in the band/big in the cup. Well, the band is okay for me, but I do think the cups run 1 cup bigger.
As far as shape, there is both empty space at the bottom of the cup- so just not enough projection and that feels uncomfortable ...-and at top of the cup, it just doesn't feel tight enough for a sports bra - there's no way I could run in this. Just not enough support. I would have to size down to 30FF, but I just don't think the shape is right for me. The shape from the front makes me look like a beetle (like, the seams remind of beetle wings - just me?) I don't like the profile this bra gives me from the front.
I think Panache sport is all about providing a nice profile from the side, but I honestly don't mind what I look like in a compression sports bra. IMO, the Panache Sport puts my boobs too much in the way...I'd prefer a compression sports bra. Read more 126 more words
How great is the bra in the right size! I usually wear a 30GG in Panache, but the sports bra in that size ran a bit large. I had some empty space at the apex in the 30GG. The 30G is perfect. A bit on the wide side, but not as bad as Freya's sports bra. Band is comfortably tight (I wear 28s in Freya and Cleo, but 30 in Panache).
The blue Odyssey print is pretty, but darker than I expected. I would call it more of a teal than a turquoise.
I've had this bra in numerous sizes over the last year. It's basically the only full bust sports bra I've tried, but I've never seen a reason to try any others because I'm so satisfied with the performance of this one.
I love the pattern on this bra. It is really the best looking sports bra I've ever seen, so I can't compliment it more on appearance. It is also very well made and sturdy. The J-hook is not something I'd ever look for in a bra, but I can see it being useful mainly because it allows the straps to get even tighter and improves side support.
The bra is an almost perfect fit for me. The support I get from it is excellent. Previously, I had only worn compression bras. Even though I know the encapsulation style is better/healthier, I can only accept a sports bra if ...it stops movement and bounce and this one does.
Since I have already reviewed the Panache Sport Sports Bra (5021) , I will put some comparisons here. The coverage is full at the top and sides, so the side panels don't jut outwards like they did for me on the 30FF - Panache Sport » Sports Bra (5021) and I don't quadboob out of it. The J-Hook also does not hurt me on this model, while it did on the wired version. Furthermore, the wired version was notably uncomfortable on the straps for me. They are very scratchy and irritating on my skin. I was getting bad red marks right away. I also found the underwire uncomfortable on my ribs. The non-wired version has none of these issues.
I was concerned from reading other reviews that this bra would not be suitable for someone short in stature and with high roots. I would say that it is not *perfect*, but it still does the job. If the straps could tighten about one more inch, it would be ideal. Also, I think short women will find that they have to really make sure the bra band - because of lack of underwire - is positioned as high as possible against their IMF to avoid wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. Unlike compression bras, the lack of underwire here requires some positioning to get the right cup fit, at least for me. But once it's on, it's not going anywhere.
This is partly because the band at 30" is very snug; tighter than I would want for comfort in a regular bra. I can only speak for it as new and unwashed. I haven't worn it enough to test it for longer. I have a 29" underbust and 28.5 tight underbust (not much squish). If you have 30 or above I would recommend sizing up in the band.
I can't stress enough how great it looks on. I love the black with geo pattern. I'm not a fan of solid black sports bras, so this adds something different even though I'm not likely to wear it without a shirt. I still like knowing it's pretty. The seams on the bra are somewhat visible through a shirt, but for sportswear I really don't mind that.
If I had to nitpick, my only concern is that there is still a little wrinkling at the base of the cup. They are probably a tad wide and shallow for me. I don't feel it when I'm wearing it and it doesn't affect support, but when I take the bra off, I can see some creases forming on the inside of the foam cup, even after only a couple minutes of wear. (It is not a cup size issue and in fact this problem was worse for me in the 30FF). I don't know what that will mean for longevity. I hope it will be ok. After teens of workouts I can finally write a review. My sports are jogging and fitness, so lots of jumping. The bra is extremely comfortable. I love to wear it as everyday bra too. Straps are soft, the band is wide under the cups, so there is no wrinkling the finishing tape (which can happen in bras with band made of 2 parts). After haveing it 3 months and wearing it every day when I workout and 2 times a week when I didn't workout the band is just the same tightness as it was at the days of buying. What I love about it is that it is a ...sports bra, but gives me quite nice shape and it separates my breast (no squishing and compressing). The bridge does not lie flat, but as the brafitter said, it is normal in this model. The one thing I don't like in this bra is the special racerback option. It hurts me on my neck/shoulders even when it is super loose, so I think I'm just not compatibile with that option. As a binus I can say that after 2 weeks of fitness workouts and 1 week of jogging my boobd become shorter and thicker. Just tried this on, so I can't review the sport profile, but I can say something about the fitting.
The textile feels very good quality, like the one which can take much bounce. Although I believe for some more delicate skins it can be too harsh.
The breasts are separated, which I take as an pro. The straps tend to fall from my arms, but with a back-X-clip I feel more secure.
It covers almost all of the breasts in front. But there was a problem with sides of the band. For me it was too low, and I felt like me boobs are escaping on the sides.
For the proper fitting ...the 30G is good for me, but as I have uneven boobs and not feel very safe at the sides I will order 30GG which is my normal size at the time.
In comparison to other sport bras I had in my life, this one gives a very nice, not smashed, shape and great separation. Although I don't know how the wires will do while jogging or biking, they are completely 'invisible' in comfort. I think that if anyone has not told me that this bra has wires I would not felt them (just standing and jumping in a fitting room).
I own this bra in both 30G and 28GG. I fluctuate between both sizes in Panache. I find that the 30G is more comfortable and a better fit when I first put it on however the 28GG is tighter around my chest (my ribcage measures 28 inches exactly) and the 28GG is a bit more supportive when running.
That said, I still get lots of wear out of this one!
This is the only underwired sports bra I've found that fits my shape (full/fleshy in center chest and shallow/no breast tissue high up near my arms) and the Freya Underwired Sports Bra was hopeless (with a fitter to try and help me!) no matter what size I tried on - it was too wide and cut in under my arms (cup too big) whilst pinching the top of my boobs towards the center gore (cup too small!).

Please see my review for the black colorway in this style. For me, this beige colorway has just slightly more room in the cup than the black colorway or neon yellow/navy colorway (but enough that I would size down).
The band is a little snug on me right now but the cup volume is still great, and I consider it a perfect fit with an extender on the last hook. A 32FF would probably be perfect but wasn't in stock when I ordered or was looking to exchange. I've worn this model in different cup volumes/sizes as my weight has fluctuated and I've always found this model super supportive for high-impact activity and pretty comfortable all around. Love how many colors it comes in! Wires are technically way too wide and cup too shallow for me but none of that is really an issue for me given that it stays in place, blocks any movement during activity, doesn't require me to take it on and off over my head, and is honestly really comfortable due to the super padded wires.
Update: After owning multiple of these, I will say I've had more issues with hooks breaking or coming loose, including on a brand new bra I ordered, as compared to other bras I have. Downgrading the quality rating but everything else stays the same.
I really like this sports bra. I find it keeps things stable while running. I have two small issues though, first I found the band seemed to stretch out quite quickly. So I will likely have to go down a band size soon. Second, because of my tall roots the trim along the top tends to cut in a bit, even though the bra fits.
I`m not entirely sure how I feel about this bra. I use it for running, my other sports bras are all by Shock Absorber (Ultimate Run, D+ Max), so they are my point of reference. The band is very tight (I did not size up), but after wearing it for 20+ times, it stretches out quickly (but not excessively). The cups fit me well, there is no spilling on top or on the sides, and I do not feel restricted in movement. The support is very good (I have very soft breasts requiring lots of support), similar to the Shock Absorbers.
My main problem with this bra is ...the racerback hook. When I use it, I get intense neck pain after 30+ minutes of running. I think the reason is that the hook sits way too high for me (almost on my neck) and it is not adjustable. Adjusting the straps does not help. When I do not use the hook, the support is reduced noticeably - still ok, but the bra could work so much better. If the hook were adjustable, I think this would be a perfect sports bra for me - now, it is a pretty good one for short trainings or hiking, but not for longer runs. Read more 104 more words
So, this review is for the ODYSSEY PRINT, which I feel is particularly important to note since some of these bras are known to run small depending on the colorway. (Here's lookin' at you, gray/white.)
This particular one seems TTS, stretching only to 31" and that with protests. It might actually be a little TOO small on me, but sports bras are my nemesis; tight enough for support, without being too tight to breathe deeply...? It's a bit of a battle.
Generally I like underwired Panache sports bras. The racerback hook gives me added support for jogging, while unhooking that allows for the range of motion I need to do yoga comfortably. I can't stand compression bras, and there aren't many alternatives, so I wouldn't necessarily say this bra is perfect for me... but I do own several, because it's definitely the best I've found.
This is the most comfortable bra I've ever worn. Which is kind of a bummer, because it doesn't actually fit my shape well, but it's perfect for exercise. I ordered a 30GG first, and that fit my lower projection and overall shape much better, but there was a bunch of empty space in the top, which wasn't suitable for exercise. In the 30G I have empty space near the gore and the bottom, but it is still somehow comfortable and plenty supportive. The construction of the bra also makes it look like it fits perfectly, so that's nice! The straps adjust just short enough for me, and I ...use the clip for higher impact activities and it works like a charm for me. I would buy more if they weren't so expensive, because I love it as a t-shirt bra! The only thing I'm disappointed in is a couple of the bottom hooks seem to be coming loose after less than two weeks of exercise. I think it's a fluke, and easily fixed, but it's still annoying.
If you don't have much upper fullness or have short roots, definitely size down in the cup. I like a very firm band and this one runs true to size so I wouldn't order up a size. Read more 105 more words
This is the absolute best sports bra I've ever worn! I can now add Lindy Hop to my dancing repertoire because the girls are contained while I can still breathe! I purchased the cup size smaller than I normally get (2 sizes smaller than the Cleo by Panache Neve Plunge t-shirt bra that I need) & after wearing it nearly everyday for a month (it's comfortable enough that I'm considering it to be my everyday go to bra) it has stretched to fit perfectly.
The pattern on this one is gorgeous! Sorry it didn't fit well.
