  1. At this point, I feel like either of the Panache sports bras can, in no way, live up to the reputation they've gained online. I can't say I'm *blown away* by this, but I will say I'm happy to have this in my arsenal, both as a sports bra and as a wireless lounge bra.

If you're strictly comparing this to the wired version, based on my experience, I would say the band runs similar while the cups are more TTS. I am now generally wearing a UK 32H/34GG, and this fits. I would definitely not size down in the band, as the 34 was a bit of a ... struggle to put on (not like, sweating struggle; but it's more snug than I anticipated). However, once fastened, the bra is comfortably firm. The cups fit well. I wouldn't want the cups bigger nor smaller. There is the appearance of slight quadding at top, but I think that is more because I have tissue up top by my collar bone the bra's tight top was cutting into than that the cup is too small. For reference, I've tried a 32GG in the wired version, and I found the band too snug and I was swimming in the cups -- they were one, if not two, cup sizes too large in the 32GG.

Also compared to the wired version, I much prefer the shape this one provides. My girls looked compact and rounded, whereas the wired gave me a weird and splayed east-west look. I would have no problem wearing this one as part of my everyday wear, but I wouldn't with the wired one.

As for functionality, nothing stops The Bounce. Nothing. Your body moves, and so do your boobs. Luckily, my workout routine consists of more walking than running (ok, there is NO running), so this provides adequate support.

My only complaint with the bra is that the straps aren't long enough. Unless they're loosened all the way (and then, even still), I feel stress on my neck and shoulders from the too tight straps. All in all, I wouldn't pay full retail for it, but I am happy to pay what I did for it being on sale.

    • Does the soft cup separate the way that the wired one is supposed to? I was swimming in the cup for the wired (with the gore not tacking so I was bouncing in the bra), after going down a cup. I really want an encapsulation bra, but I don't know if it's in the cards.

    • 1

Yes, it does. Though my breasts are already fairly splayed, so I can't say how it would treat breasts which are very close together (if yours are). I definitely recommend giving it a try. Bare Necessities has a fair amount of sizes on sale right now, with the additional 25% off code adding more of a discount. I paid $35 for mine.

    • "...my workout routine consists of more walking than running (ok, there is NO running)..."

You brought a smile of recognition to my face, ginganinja! :)

    Fits

I’ve reviewed this bra in other sizes, so not a lot to say about it. As I’ve said in another review, this bra’s reputation precedes itself.

I’ve lost more weight and weaned, so I subsequently lost even more volume to my bust. I originally wore a 34G/32GG in these bras and now fit comfortably into a 32FF. I love this color and the fit is great! I can’t wait to get at least 1 more in my new size. 😊

(In regards to the band in the pictures: I took the pictures straight out of the package without adjusting the straps, so it looks like the band rides up, but I assure you it fits fine.)

What a nice color! I have a wireless Panache Sport, too. Such a great design.

    • 1

It’s very nice colour and the size is excellent too.do you measure your self? I can’t find the right size for me .its very tight the band and the (wire) sits almost in my arm pit

    • 1

Hi maraki, I used the ABTF (a bra that fits) calculator online as a starting point, but honestly each bra is different. Even with a certain measurement (ex: 32G), not all brands/bras are the same in a 32G. It’s all about trial and error at that point. I don’t have any specific recommendations, but I do suggest only using the calculated size a guideline and try different brands in different sizes until you find the right one!

I believe the 40GG is the largest cup size in the 40 band. My original ABTF range is 40H which may have been a better fit. Although breast tissue does seem to be covered, the weight of my breasts brings the cups down covering the panache logo located on the lower gore. In every fitted photo I've seen for this sports bra - this is not the case so a 40H may have been better in this style. In fact, within a day of wearing this bra - I noticed some pink material under my bust. This was the logo having rubbed off from the friction. Overall quality is great, and I love the color. Keeping this bra for home use for now since it would inappropriate to return due to fabric wear (logo). Issue may also stem from bra being too shallow.

Great bra but do size up in the band!! This one is purple/violet with white stripe on top.

My boobs are: wide + tall root, shallow. My "usual" size: 28F.

I have had the wired version in 30E and 28F (black, pink, purple, turqouise, raspberry colourways) (oh dear, how many I´ve owned!!!). 28F started to feel a bit too tight at some point so I sized up to 30E. I couldn´t even close this 28F, first I had to go get an extender!! So I do think it is tighter in the band than the wired version.

Other than that, it is a great bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Feels very supportive and comfortable and gives great lift! I think that in my case, it fits just as well as the wired one. "Cups" are wide enough and the shape is awesome.

So, this isn't a perfect bra for me by any means. The cups are a bit too small, and there's some minor quadding at the top. The band, while measuring as stretchy enough, is difficult enough to fasten that I stuck an extender in it. I'm not too keen on the grey color.

But I found it at a Nordstrom Rack for $25, so whatever. It's definitely "good enough".

It definitely serves my purposes for what I need it for - low to medium intensity workouts. I'm not sure how good it'd be for more high-intensity stuff, it being wireless, but it keeps me strapped down pretty well that ... it'd probably be supportive enough.

The one thing that bugs me about it is that the bottom of the bra tends to twist itself around inside of the fabric, which can be annoying. But I can live with that, as once it's on it's fine. I do like the look it gives; a bit compressed but pretty roundy. I like round.

So, perfect bra? No. Pretty damn good bra and a fantastic find? Absolutely.

    Fits

I'll start by saying I bought this to wear for comfort, as I'm not exactly a work-out maven these days...or ever. For that purpose, I can really sing its praises. I found a great deal on amazon for this, and bought 2 different sizes, this one and a 36FF, to test out which is best. For reference, my best size in Panache right now is 36FF. While the band on both the 36 and 38 felt nearly the same, I decided to keep the 38 based on comfort level alone. The 36 band was a good fit, but I felt the straps rub more on the 36 than ... the 38. I'm tall with a long torso, so I often have to wear straps at their longest length (and even then find them uncomfortably tight).

The band is still snug, though a size too large, and the cups fit perfectly. The shape, especially for a wireless, is remarkable. I previously tried this in a 34G, and couple seasons ago, and I can say for sure the fit has only improved. I love it when companies keep improving fit as the seasons pass! The shape is very round and perky, and not at all conical or uniboob. I will wear the heck out of this around the house, and will enjoy having a very supportive and comfortable option for the work week on days I want the extra comfort.

The only qualm I have with the fit is the cups' shallowness toward the bottom. However, given all the other strengths of this bra, it's a small quibble that barely needs mention.

    Didn't fit

My experience with "convertible" bras has always been that in their efforts to work well in multiple styles, they work great in none. This bra is another testament to that rule. While the colourway is fun and sporty, giving the bra a cool appearance, and the band fits great (29" ribcage, I found it TTS compared to Panache & Cleo), I had fit issues and RETURNED.

This bra was not meant for my breast shape. It is too east-west for me and did not support me in the middle, making it uncomfortable and poorly resistant to my bounce (I'd be better off with my old ratty cotton nylon sports ... bras that I've had for 6 years). I do not recommend this bra for someone with close set or projected breasts. It also digs into the top of my breast a little(not a huge deal, but confirms for me that this is a shape mismatch, not a problem of cup being too big). Meanwhile, the straps are too long on their tightest setting. The sides of the cups come up too high for me, digging into my underarm area, making this bra uncomfortable even for loungewear, and negating the possibility of shortening the straps. I also have an odd fit issue with the bottom of the cup.

The inner semi-molded layer folds over at the bottom of the cup, and this continues around the sides of the band. It is uncomfortable. I think it's because I don't fill the outer bottom area of the cup, and this bra wants boobs that are more shallow or FOB. If you prefer a wider gore (i.e. don't have close-set breasts) and aren't worried about straps being too long, you might like this bra. The fold mostly disappears when I convert to racerback, but I find the racerback extremely uncomfortable, as it causes the sides of the cup to dig in even further, and puts too much pressure on my shoulders, even with straps loosened.

This bra was a big fat fail for me. I'm hesitant to try the underwire version because of this bad experience, and because TONS of women on amazon reviews report the underwire poking through within the first few months of use with that one. I tried Wacoal Contour which also has underwire at Dillards in 32G US and it was WAY better than this. Although I wish they made it in 30H, I may get it.

I got this bra as a give away from pretty_promise and I'm so so thankful! My boobs grew exponentially the last couple years and I had zero sports bras...I was wearing my regular wired bra to do cardio (booo).
This is non wired, so cup measurements are tricky. The bra encloses my breasts without creating uniboob or compression. It's very comfortable and I feel supported with cardio and weights.
It has a J hook in case you want to wear it racerback. Band is true to size I think, and is a 3x3.

    Hasn't set fit

I was delighted to find that this bra is supportive enough to run in it - even without using the J-hook. I wore it for a 4+ mile run today on a hilly route, and while I am not the speediest of souls, I felt well-supported and did not notice any bounce, other than in the very tops of my breasts that are "above" the bra (which was minimal). Trudging up stairs and racing down them is comfortable, no need to hold myself. Jumping jacks and bouncing around like a hyperactive pre-schooler had no ill effects. This bra keeps you secure and supported without making it impossible to ... breathe.

The shape and support is extremely similar to that of the wired bra, though it does not feel as "secure" along the band due to the lack of wires. This does not seem to affect the actual support, but it does have a different feel, especially if you are used to mostly wearing wired bras, including sports bras. The wired bra *feels* a bit tighter and supportive in the cup perimeter, but again, I did not notice a difference in function. I think the non-wired version is slightly more closed on top, though I do not have a wired version in the same size for proper comparison. There is less separation of the breasts without the wires, indeed, it is probably more accurate to say there is hardly any. This has not bothered me so far. When lounging, the non-wired version does not keep breasts contained on the sides the way the wired version does.

Because the bra is less structured, sizing down may be necessary for better support. I also tried the 34FF, and it appeared to fit and felt generally okay, but seemed to have a bit of extra room at the lower sides. Fit was a little harder to assess without wires (I have not worn a non-wired bra in years, except for sleeping.)

The band is firm enough to support me but does not seem as tight (for the size) as my wired ones. I did not size up in the band, my loose measurement is currently fluctuating ~33.5-34 inches. The cup seams do not appear to be as flat as those on the wired bra cups, and the seams are somewhat noticeable under a fitted shirt, especially the side panel ones. The shape is pretty good, especially for a non-wired bra. Overall, a very good sports bra.

  10. I bought this at Bravissimo a long time ago and I've barely used it since, which is a shame since it's such a cute sports bra.

    QUALITY:
    Excellent from Panache as usual.

    COMFORT:
It was a good fit back when I bought it and could wear it, but now I can barely get the hooks closed and I'd just rather not consider trying it on again. I set comfort to "don't know" because I can guarantee it's a heckin poor fit, but I don't feel like trying it on and having it squish my breathing muscles!
This is an encapsulation (and maybe compression?) sports bra, and therefore there's much less chance ... of in-between boob sweat since it has a padded, shaped gore to separate the breasts. I'd be willing to try another one of these in my current size for that reason alone (and because Panache Sport are sturdy).

    DESIGN:
I looove the fabric choices here. I wish it had the galaxy print over the whole bra and not just as the accentuation and decoration. I know they made one with galaxy over the whole front, but it was the wired one and it didn't fit when I tried it in the store. Navy/greyish dark blue with hot pink is a great choice and seriously have I said how much I enjoy the galaxy print??
Not fully adjustable straps isn't personally an issue, but even if it were, it has a hook on the loop where the adjustable straps meet the non-adjustable straps. It's pretty cool, and I'm sure its useful for people with shorter proportions.

corvidsandtea so did you have to size down for this bra, or did it fit in your regulrar size?

    • 1

I think Panache could have made that print part of their core collection and made a killing. That fabric is so beautiful, and I remember reading a LOT of swooning reviews and posts, as well as lamentations by people who were not able to score one in their size.

    • 1

Wilderness1 I sized up for it. I was a 28F/FF at the time.

AllyBra 100% yes! It is so nice, I would kill for a regular bra in this fabric or pattern!
