This bra is amazing. Plenty of immediate and centre projection in the cup, gore tacks but doesn't dig, the cups are entirely* stretch lace so fit a variety of shapes happily, they also have a peach coloured mesh backing so they're not too sheer (although might look a bit strange if light peach isn't a nude for you). Wires generally stay in my IMF, which isn't a small feat for me! The material itself feels lovely on the cups and the band, the size tag is a tiny bit annoying as it's quite thick. The Petrol colour is also lovely, a subtle navy that's a bit warmer than ...the photos. (ETA: Not entirely, but more forgiving than most Panache bras I've tried. Similar to Cleo Blake)
The centre gore is very wide especially at the bottom - this is a perfect shape for me and my splayed breasts, but if yours are close together this will likely be problematic. The shape under clothes is quite natural, a little bit minimised but not too much, and also forward pointy but not ridiculously pushed together. The straps are quite thin, I find them very comfortable but may not be ideal for heavier busts.
The wings on this bra are high - I think it's the boundary point of where they start being problematic for me. The cut of the cups/straps also makes my Tail of Spence quite prominent, this doesn't bother me personally though. The wires are also on the wider side of my comfort zone, I'd say the regular Panache width (narrow-to-average).
Band definitely is TTS, a tiny bit tight on first wear but not to the point of discomfort. I'd be inclined to say the cups run a bit small - I get a smidge of quadding as I'm more FOT, and could probably do with a cup size up but it's not bad enough to bother me. The elastic on the top of the cup isn't tight enough to cause any problems here, fortunately.
Overall, definitely recommend for even fullness, even if centre fullness is an issue. Read more 236 more words
Man, was this bra a disappointment! The styling is gorgeous, and I love the simplistic look and clean lines of the bra. The fabric is also incredibly soft, and just the right amount of transparent without screaming, "here's my nipples, world!"
While this technically fits in nearly every aspect (the straps are a bit too short for comfort, but alas these are the trials of someone who's 5'10" with a long torso), but the shape is a bit off. The best way to describe the shape this provides is.....torpedo. If you do a google search of the bra, you can see a few models wearing it, and they ...also get the torpedo shape. I think the top half is a bit too closed off, which forces the top half of the breast to push down, while the bottom half is pushed up from the wires and seam, which results in the odd torpedo. Poor bra is confusing my boobs!
As I said, this is super disappointing, because I otherwise LOVE this bra. The band is comfortable and firm. I don't even mind the 2 hooks, because it doesn't dig in at all, which generally happens when there are only 2 hooks. The fabric is luxurious and soft. The straps, though thin, are padded, and feel great. And I was/still am dying to try the high-waisted brief as part of the set.
I got this for a really good price (nearly half off retail), so I might keep it and hope it'll soften with wear and be less torpedo. But I also have something ridiculous like 30 bras in rotation right now, and the collection continues to grow. Read more 169 more words
This bra is gorgeous, it looks so sophisticated! The cups are super stretchy, accomodating up to 11.5" of depth. I think it fits more like a 30FF. This bra would fit if: A. The cups were more projected at the wire. B. The band was tighter. C. The gore was narrower and D. the top line of the cup didn't cut in. I get the slightest bit of quadding, but it isn't noticeable.
My shape: tallish, widish, splayed roots, very close set at the top; evenly full top and bottom; slightly center full; pendulous; need a good bit of depth at the wire. Best fits are Panache 34G/36FF.
I feel like this bra is my BEC. Like, the bra basically fits and really doesn't have all that much wrong with it, I JUST DON'T LIKE IT. I don't like the rosy peach lining color against the black, I don't like how the top goes straight across my chest, I don't like that it doesn't give my breasts the kind of uplift that my Jasmine does. I don't like the skinny straps.
There are ...some minor fit issues. The gore is very tall, much taller than my Jasmine for all that bratabase thinks this actually is a Jasmine. The straps are wide set and cut into my armpits. So do Jasmine's, but Esme's thicker fabric rubs my arms too.
Esme has the stretchy softer fabrics typical of Panache Black. They feel nice but the softness is a disadvantage in the cups causing them to be unable to lift pendulous tissue the way Jasmine does. Straps are skinny and stretchy, and since the wings are pretty tall I can't shorten them enough to get more lift.
Combine all this with an appearance that to me is just "meh" and this bra is not a keeper. Read more 119 more words
