    Didn't fit

Cups runs on the bigger side of 28DD, but were still to small for me. I'd recommend this bra for shallow breasts of all shapes - the cups are very open. Because of the tightness of the band, those needing a 26" or even a 24" should certainly check this one out.

Please read my full review for more info! - coming soon.

    Didn't fit

*sigh* My quest to find a correct fitting bra continues. How much more money will I have to spend??

Anyway, let's start with the good. The colors are gorgeous. The fabrics are sumptuous. The front of the straps start with satin and widen to about 1.25" wide, and the back half of the straps are quite stretchy. The embroidery is so detailed. This is a very beautiful bra. When I swoop-and-scoop, I fill the cups perfectly. At least the cup volume is correct, so I know the dimensions to look for in an open-top bra (despite what the label says).

But the shape? SOOOO wrong! After moving my arms around, ... there are small gaps in the center front and my tissue spills out at my armpits. It's wonderfully open on top, which is good, but almost too projected for me. The apex separation is only 3.5" when lying on a flat surface, so this is definitely not for wide-set breasts, which I have.

While the band doesn't stretch that much (barely over 6") it still manages to slide around on me due to the satin fabric and I can still stretch it pretty far from my back on the tightest hook. Sadly, I didn't look for a 28DD because of Masquerade's reputation of being too tight. I also have to tighten the straps quite a bit to attempt to keep the cups from allowing my breasts to spill out from the sides, so that helps the band slide up in the back.

    In conclusion...

My breasts: Wide-set, have wide root width, have shallow-medium projection, have a pointy-medium profile, and are between even fullness and full-on-top.

This bra is meant for: Close-set breasts, medium root width, medium-deep projection, pointy profile, and full-on-top breasts.

I hope this helps potential future buyers. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I got the beige version of this bra. It's gorgeous, and I really wish it worked for me. It does a good job lifting the breasts and pushing them to the front. It gives me a little bit of the cakes on a plate type cleavage, which I don't seem to be able to get easily. My problem was that it gaped at the top of the cups, especially toward the gore. I'm not sure that sizing down would fix it. The cups are very open at the top, and I think they might be too tall for me.

    28F

    Didn't fit

One word to decribe this bra: weird.

A couple of weeks ago, I managed to find a 28F Rhea in Antique Ice and I fell in love instantly. It fit me perfectly and gave me a great rounded shape. So when I knew I needed a new black bra and when I read that the Delphi's fit and shape were very similar, I ordered one in the same size.

The Delphi is all kinds of weird on me. First, I find it in no way similar to the Rhea. The single vertical seam gives my boobs a very "facing forward" shape instead of the gently rounded one the Rhea and ... its 2 vertical seams give me. Underneath my clothes the shape is okay but when I look at myself in the mirror with just the bra on, it's not very pleasing.

Then, there's the size. It feels both too small and too big in the cups:

*Too small because the cups seem very narrow and kind of mash my breast on both sides to push it forward.

*Too big because when I'm sitting down and barely slouching, my breasts look like deflatted soufflés and there's some huge gaping going on.

The center gore fits weirdly as well: it sits perfectly when I'm standing but I can put a finger between it and my sternum when I'm sitting. I'm wearing the bra on the first hook and the way the bra fits me makes me want to use the second hook but when I do that, I can't breathe.

The straps are also a problem: they're set too much on the outside for such a forward facing bra. They give 0 support to the cups where they need it the most.

I don't think I ordered the wrong size. It's just that the Delphi doesn't suit my shape: I'm kind of heavy on bottom and I think women with heavy on top breasts would fare better than I did. It would also be a great fit for women with breasts that are closer together and more centered on the chest.

EDIT: Okay. I've had the Delphi for a few weeks now and although it's still not a perfect fit, I can make it work better than my initial review implied. Especially on "period week", when my breasts are a bit fuller on top. So, on the whole, I can't say I'm unhappy with this bra.

    Didn't fit

Received pre-loved, so the band may be stretched from wear. I am going to have it altered so that the band is shortened and the straps are angled closer to the clasp in the back.
It is, of course, gorgeous. The sepia w/raspberry color way is lovely. The lace overlay and embroidery would be lumpy under thin or tight fabrics.
The cups are just a bit wider set than usual, but fine for me. A more narrow torso would have a problem. The compromise between my larger and smaller sides is acceptable since the top is so open. I have a bit of orange in a glass, but I ... am so used to more that it doesn't even count.
Padded, wide-set straps are pretty and comfy but would be problematic for those with slimmer shoulders and under most tank tops.
The clasp only has 2 hooks, which is ridiculous when it's supposed to carry the weight of GG's. It does, but I don't know how, and it would be far more balanced looking with 3 or 4.
The band, as on the Rhea, is the only real weakness. The satin wings are nice, but not built for longevity. (Thus my need to alter/repair all of mine.) If the satin had been reinforced by a powermesh, this would not be an issue and the cost of these bras would be more justified.

    Didn't fit

I got this bra in 30E from another Bratabase member. I usually wear 28F.
As expected, the band is too big so I did an alteration to it. I think the band is true 30.

Masquerade Rhea and Rosetti fit me in the cups in 28F, Rhea is even a little too small, but the cups in Delphi are bigger. The straps are very far almost in the armpits so I decided to move the straps closer, thus it would correct the gaping that was going on in the cups. It did help the gaping but not enough. The most gaping is near the center gore. And the shape of ... the cups got a little distorted by that alteration, I guess that is because the cups feel a bit too big for me, I don´t fill them correctly :/

Otherwise the bra is okay. It feels kind of sturdy and the band is weird, just like in my other Masquerade bras. It doesn´t stretch much at all and feels tight, but still rides up a bit. I don´t get it.

This is a beautiful, glamorous bra which gives a gorgeous shape, and my husband loves it on me.
The cups fit well and give great cleavage, however the band is too loose now that I've worn it a couple of times. I bought this at the same time as I bought the @Masquerade Capella on the advice of the corsetiere who advised me that the 28 band would most likely be too small, however I now believe that I really needed the 28G. I still wear it on an evening out, but I generally find it gets uncomfortable after a few hours as the band just isn't giving me the support I need.

    30H

    Didn't fit

I have this bra in 32H because I figured from the measurements that it would fit. However, it was too big both in the band and the cup, so I got myself a 30H.

It's pretty near perfect. Love the rounded yet somewhat compressed shape, love the comfort straps, love the looks... Everything! The band is snug but that's definitely no problem, it is bound to stretch with wear anyway.

The straps, however, are REALLY wide-set. Luckily they're soft and wide so they don't dig in, but I get a weird gaping on the side on my left (= my smaller boob) when I lean forward and/or turn my shoulders forward. I assume this is because of the wide-set straps, so I'll make a fitting help request and probably move the straps closer if my suspicions are confirmed.

    32H

    Didn't fit

    Update 18 September:

Bah, the bra is too wide for me, after all :/ I notice that I leave it in the dresser because during all-day wear, the wires start to poke and the too-far-apart straps kind of dig in my armpits.

So I'll just have to list it and go for a 30H.
    ----
    16 July:
Well this was an interesting acquaintance!

When I received the bra, my first thought was that the cups are HUGE, there’s no way in the world I’m going to fill those!

And indeed, the cups are very big – but funnily enough, not really too big. I think I could go with a 30H, too, i.e. a size ... smaller both in the band and the cup, but I might be in risk of quad-boobing. The 32H gives more coverage than the half-cups I currently own, but that definitely isn’t a problem, on the contrary. The support is really amazing!! The cups are actually too wide for me, and the straps are really wide-set, which I assumed would feel uncomfortable, but surprisingly enough, the whole package just feels really firm and supportive. I could even run a bit in this bra without having to be afraid of ending up with two black eyes.

Even though there's no gaping in the cups themselves, the lace on the top of the cup doesn’t sit perfectly flat (which I assume it would were the cups a tad smaller), but it sets as I put a shirt on. The thick embroidery + the “gaping” lace means that I can’t wear this bra under shirts with thin material, but for me it’s not really a problem.

The band is very firm and doesn’t stretch much. I wear this on the second-tightest hooks as new, but I hope I won’t have to alter down it too soon. There are only two hooks, which is a definite con. The band is also a bit weirdly constructed so that it looks as if it’s riding up, even though it sits put. I love the supportiveness of the band, but it’s not exactly a back fat eliminating whole.

And the straps... Padded, flat comfort straps!!!! <3

Summa summarum: this actually should be a far worse fit than it really is: too wide and slightly large cups, wide-set straps, not-really-perfect band... but the whole is incredibly comfortable and supportive. The Delphi looks like a special occasions bra (so pretty!), but I suspect this one will be my heavy-used everyday bra.

    • Hi could you measure stretched cup depth in this bra for me? :) Where the cup is biggest, so on top just below the lace.

Also if you could measure strap position; From tip of the wire channel at the sides and to the part of the strap furthest back. Both unstreched and stretched :)

Nerd here has wanted this bra since forever :)

    • Stretched top of the cup (on the knee) about 33 cm (it's difficult to get accurate measurements with a knee and stretching :D).

I'm not entirely sure what you meant by that other measurement, but the wire channel to the middle of the strap on the backside measures 9.5cm stretched and about 13.5cm stretched to the max.

      Hope this helps :)

    Didn't fit

I've been looking for a shallow bra with fairly narrow wires, and this fits the bill. I think it runs a cup large because I'm a solid 28DD and it seems like it would be perfect in a 28D. The band runs quite tight

The quality of this bra is excellent. All the hooks and hardware seem to be metal, which is a nice change from all the plastic/plastic coated hardware I'm used to.
