    Hasn't set fit

This bra is absolutely gorgeous and so high quality! I didn't expect it from the pictures online (especially the colour and shiny material didn't look too promising), but the quality of the materials and of the sewing is just amazing. It's the first time I try Maison Lejaby, but definitely not the last.
First, the construction - this is a three-part cup, with the top part being non-stretch lace. On the inside, the outer half of the top lace is doubled with an additional thin layer of mesh. The band is made of a thick one-layer knit fabric. The straps are only half adjustable. The materials are all ... soft, the lace is not at all scratchy.
The details of the construction look great and make the bra look very high quality - the lacy detail on the straps is very unusual, and the two fabric parts of the cup are not just sewn together, but they are connected with a sturdy lace material.
The fit is also very good, although the size is a bit too big for me. The cup width is average/narrow, the wings and the gore are relatively low. The wire is quite flexible - not Panache level hard, but also not Elomi level soft. There is absolutely enough bottom projection. Overall, the bra feels sturdy and stable. The shape it gives also looks very good despite the too big size, it's round but not completely half-sphere. I have short roots so there is empty space at the top near the strap, so I think this could easily accommodate also taller roots or more top fullness.
When it comes to sizing, definitely size down! Since this bra is a EU 85G, and my go-to size is UK 36GG, I expected this to be too small, but it's actually too big, so sadly it's going back.

Their mesh is the softest I've encountered! Impressive brand.

I JUST got one as well! Yes, it runs even bigger than the usual Elixir (which is already big) but I was lucky to get a chance to try one in a store, so I knew when I saw it on amazon to go down even one more cup size. This is the first time since I was about 15 that I fit in something as small as a DD! They had lots more left on amazon, I hope you can find the right cup size there.

    • That's true, Love4Pollinators, the materials are so soft! Amazing <3
@wendybien Nice, I hope it fits you well! I also got it from Amazon, I need to check what other sizes they have.

    Fits

Runs very big in the cup... this 32DD fits similar to many UK 32Fs. Beautiful fabrics and super comfortable. Traditional full cup look under clothes, i.e. a very defined apex without actually being pointy, but suitable for somewhat low-cut tops as the gore is not too tall. Band is true to size--not nearly as snug as older (2015 and prior) Lejaby Elixir bras but not as stretchy as current main collection Maison Lejaby bands.

    • I am currently obsessing over Maison Lejaby and other french brands (empriente, simon perele, aubade, chantelle,) and I am glad to have found this more recent review.
I am finding bras in a 75 band! Starting at a C cup and I so badly want to buy but am so hesitant due to the cups running larger.
      Here: https://www.maisonlejaby.com/elixir-lingerie-hanae-soutien-gorge-nuit-noire-1.html
they have this obviously very thin model in a 90D, and she has it on the loosest hook! Which makes me question if I should go ahead an get a 75C/D instead for an 80C. I find myself sizing out of 28D into 28DD in my Cleo Minnie and Freya Vertical Seam..and most of my bras. What do you think?
Thanks for being our resident french bra specialist!

    • Oh wow I actually had no idea they had branched out to 75! That's a BFD!!! Yeah so ignore what is happening on the models because they put them in weird sizes. This being said, I and most others usually found the Elixir bands ran very small. I can't recall if they were cut small to begin with as well, but they just were very firm and did not stretch as much as most bras once worn on the body (regardless of how much you could stretch if you pulled with your hands). This is very unlike the fit on the main-collection Lejaby lines, which fit pretty slack in the band.
I've only ever dealt with their teeny flagship store in the 16th arrondissement, but they were SUPER friendly and had great customer service there. You might try contacting them over chat on their website or on FB and seeing if someone can help.
