    Hasn't set fit

This bra is brand new, and I actually went to the store to see when they were going to get it but, I saw it already there in limited sizes. I knew that the 34DD band would be too big but, I wanted to see what it was like in general.

This sports bra is advertised as being light support for C-E cups. The description says:

Flow on. A yoga essential, this smooth, strappy bra lends support, separation, and coverage.

Here’s the product features list from the website.

-Spacer construction in the cups for breathable coverage and shaping
-Double back crossover straps offer comfort and support
    -Adjustable straps
    -Straps are padded for comfort
-Hook-and-eye ... closure for a customized underband fit

I do believe that it is the same Nulu fabric that the Align leggings are made from as it was buttery soft and smooth to the touch, and it has Align in the name.

I was attracted by the bra sized hook and eye closure sizing that goes to E (not stellar or super inclusive, I know, but still better than the s/m/l styles) with a more delicate strappy back. It looked ideal for my needs.

As far as the fit, take into consideration that I am not in the correct size here. I’m well aware that I would be better in a 32E like the other bra sized sports bras that I have tried from Lululemon but, as it’s new, sizes are limited until more stock arrives in the coming weeks. I have lost 10 pounds since January so I’m currently about a 30F. My tissue is soft and pendulous and even more shallow on top than it used to be.

I’m just going to jump to the chase…I *really* like this bra! For my needs with Pilates, I need some support and it has to be comfortable. I’m not doing cardio or HIIT or anything jumping up and down so I don’t need massive support like the Panache wired sports bras or Shock Absorbers. I do a warm up standing with a roll down but, the rest is on my back on the mat and reformer. We’ve only just begun to work with all fours (it’s harder than you think it is!) so basically some containment. I don’t need to be heavily strapped down or anything. Anyway, this bra checks the boxes. Obviously, it’s better once I get a 32E.

The materials are so soft and I love the semi delicate strappy back that has somewhat adjustable straps. The cups are also sort of pre-molded to introduce a little separation. I actually have a nice rounded profile and am not as heavily compressed like some of the other ones that I have tried. I’m slightly nervous about the 32 band being too large still, as it does feel somewhat stretchy but, it will be better than the 34 for sure. I’m definitely going to wait until more sizes arrive and hope a 32E (or even 32DD possibly) come in and hopefully pick it up. I do really think that it’s an ideal bra for me and my needs. I’ll update if I can get a better size.

That looks so smooth and comfortable! Was it easy to get back off?

    • 1

Yes! It’s so smooth and soft, and easy to get on and off as it is a hook and eye closure.

    • 1

I just bought this. I’ve gone up from a 34E to a 34F and I can wear this in the 34E so I’d say cup size is a bit forgiving, so if you’re in the edge give it a try. I feel like it gives a decent lifted shape for a light support sports bra. I’m going to try it for weight lifting any yoga. I don’t really need my panache “boob armor” unless I’m jumping around! It seems like it will be a good lounge bra as well.

    • Yes, confused …I have considered trying the 32DD which I think my location has currently but, I will have to wait until Thursday to try it. I might still need a 32E but, maybe I can size down. The 32DD will be a fitting test. I think it’s going to be a great Pilates bra. Soft, comfortable, moderate coverage, and enough support for what I do. Agreed with the boob armour title with the panache…great shape and support but, much more than I need.

This is the first one of these Like A Cloud Longline D/DD sports bras that I got recently. I got a pair of leggings to match as well, however, I will say that I got a size 2 in the align pocket leggings and really need a 4. This one was the last pair anywhere and was sale priced…so I grabbed them with the hope that I can stretch the waistband out some, as it is a little bit too compressive and digs in. You can see the digging in and such in the pictures. Not a huge deal though as it is invisible under a loose shirt ... that is long enough to cover the midsection.

As for the bra fit, it fits pretty much the same as the 4 - Lululemon » Like A Cloud Longline D/dd so be sure to check the details there….but the overall feeling is that it is a good fit. I prefer the twin thin split straps vs the outer strap being thicker…I’m not sure if it really helps the support, but under most tops, the inner thinner strap is the visible one so it still looks dainty and pretty much like the B/C version underneath. I’ve included a few pictures. I appreciate having more boob room without sacrificing the band too much, and I anticipate more of these in other colours in my future.

I honestly purchased this not expecting much. I was actually ready to be disappointed and send it back even before receiving it. But I was completely wrong. This has to be the most comfortable sports top I have ever put on my body, hands down! The front consists of a lightweight foam like fabric that has a boob mold to it. The outside is covered by a light, buttery soft fabric. The back band is the same buttery soft fabric consisting of two layers. It did come with a long Lululemon tag, but it was easily removed and discarded. The straps consist of two sets. The ... outer strap is a thicker strap that feels to be a covered elastic. The skinny strap feels to be a thin covered elastic. There are no adjusters or hardware on this top. The straps feel heavenly! They don’t dig or pinch. The under band and does lift away from my chest under my boobs ever so slightly, but not enough for me to feel as if I’m going to fall out. Can I go for a jog in this? Absolutely not. It’s definitely a lightweight sports top. I personally wear this as a leisure around the house or when I’m lifting weights. You can honestly sleep in this if you wanted to. The foam is thick enough that I don’t get much nipple show through and it gives me a great shape.
I will definitely be purchasing more.

This is my favourite bra from them. I personally prefer the aesthetic of the regular longline version with the two thin straps but the extra space is nice on this version. I have two size 4s and one size 6. The 6 is a better fit now that I have gained some weight back. The 8 is the better feeling in the cups but I worry that the straps are too long and will stretch out.

    • I went back n forth on what size to try. There was only one review for a small band larger chest, 32FF, review. So I went off of that and got the 8. I wish they made this in a E/G size. I think the gap under my boobs in the front would be eliminated. But it’s always wishful thinking for perfection lol. I actually don’t mind the thicker straps. It is so comfy I honestly can’t feel them when it’s on. I’ve since ordered two more. It’s the perfect run around and be comfy bra. I’m hooked.

    • 1

Ahhh. The other factor is that I have super soft tissue and it compresses super easily so I need more room for my boobs in order to not be too squished and uniboob like. It’s definitely a fave bra though.

Great colour for a soft summer!!
I can tell this is "your colour" b/c it makes your skin glow. As a fellow soft summer. Lol.

    • BraOdyssey It totally is a good color for me. I even got the matching oversized scuba hoodie in the same color. It’s one of the few colors of pink that I can wear by my face. I think this is why I always go for brightly colored bras. I wear all the colors that don’t look so good on me over all under my clothes lol. I’ve since purchased this bra in black, contour, twilight rose, and linen blue. Perfect for pretty much everything I do in my daily life.

    • 1

I want the twilight rose too. And more colours. I might consider a size 8 and getting the straps shorter as needed.

BraOdyssey I forgot that you were pretty knowledgeable about the seasons. I’m still wishy washy about what I am.

    • 1

Calluna I just got Twilight Rose and Blue Linen in the mail. I added a pic of the ones I have so you can see the colors compared to one another. Definitely loving the dusty colors. Tho I wish I had discovered these sooner so I could have gotten the fun colors. I’ve since replaced all my other workout and lounge bras with these.

I’ve reviewed both the longline and the longline D/DD options here:

    8 - Lululemon » Like A Cloud Longline
    4 - Lululemon » Like A Cloud Longline D/dd

This is for the regular one. To be honest, I prefer the support from the longline. I only tried this one on for the colour (Vintage Plum) because it’s available in the D/DD longline as online colour only at the moment, and I wanted to see how it looks with the new blue leggings.

The fit of this one is definitely better for someone who has smaller boobs than me, as I have to size up to ... the 8 to get the boob room, and the bottom just isn’t snug enough. You can see how it barely holds my boobs. I spill out of the 6. The other difference, which is not evident here, is that the split straps go straight back, instead of a crisscross like the longline options.

As for the goal of seeing if the colour would work with the leggings, the answer is yes, however, like the pink blossom longline, I might get a different item in this colour instead, like a shirt or jacket…though I might still stick with the D/DD longline bra because I can get Lululemon dupes for the shirts and jackets from crz yoga for a lot cheaper ($60 for a shirt is ridiculous).

See my review for the 4 - Lululemon » Like A Cloud Longline D/dd in the delicate mint for the details. This was the other sale colour. If I hadn’t decided to get the leggings that were also on sale, I would have gotten both. I opted for the mint as I already have a few pink sports bras…one is more muted and pale, and the other one is a dusty rose colour, where this one is definitely a brighter pink, but I had nothing like that mint one. I might pick something else up in the pink blossom though, because it’s a great match with the leggings.

Only adding this for the colour. Like the other Lululemon pullover bras, I don’t know how to measure or accurately fit check, so pictures and reviews only.

This is one of the new bra sized styles that Lululemon is offering in A-E cups. While it is not the most inclusive size range, it is better than some. It’s designed as a high impact sports bra in the ultralu fabric with mesh panels on the sides of the band and straps that are adjustable from the front through a rather rugged hook style. It’s a wireless style that is an encapsulation style via molded foam cups inside, though the exterior is not visibly encapsulated. This one has a fairly straight forward back design. There’s no j hook that I’m aware of which is probably due ... to the super thick and rugged strap design.

My boobs are soft and pendulous and lean towards functionally short and fob even though the roots are taller and tissue is more even...it is just soft and deflated. I currently take a 30FF UK or 30H US but sometimes need to size down due to the shape issues.

My sports bra needs are that I need some level of support (more than a flimsy aerie bralette but less than a Panache Wired Sports Bra) and ultimately, it has to be comfortable. I’m on my back a lot during my Pilates lessons and I don’t need a ton of support as it is pretty low impact. Containment, yes, and some compression or support simply due to my size, but I don’t need anything hardcore (although I do have, and have been using my Panache bra). Hook and eye style is usually better with fit and support, as well as easier to put on and take off, but I definitely notice the hooks more than in a pullover style.

The band on this one is definitely a snug 32, which is on par for many sports bras, and feels more like a 30. The cups are comfortable with a slightly higher neckline that’s a slight sweetheart shape as compared with the All Powered Up bra which is a bit of a scoop neck. Like the other bra sized sports bras, the hook and eye closure is a bit tricky to do up. I think it’s maybe the stiffness of the hook tape material that is not as flexible to bend away from the hooks. I was able to get it done up though, so it is a minor issue in the overall impression of the bra. Like the All Powered Up bra, there is a little material that extends below the cups and adds a little bit more support and coverage so it is almost like a crop top. The straps on this bra are adjustable but use a rugged strip of material that has slats for a long hook (like you would find in a convertible style) instead of using sliders. I found adjusting them was a little bit tricky. I’m sure that once you have the right length set, you’ll be fine, though it’s designed like this to be able to tighten up further for activities that involve bouncing like running and jumping where you need it to be tighter.

Overall it is a nice sports bra and only slightly overkill for my Pilates sessions. This one is more basic all over by comparison with the All Powered Up bra. I’m not sure what style I prefer. I definitely love the pink pastel and violet verbena colours of the All Powered Up bra, as well as the sort of scoop neck crop top look from the front, but I don’t have a need for the style of backing that it has. This one has a few nice colours too, but with spring and summer approaching, and the fact that I already have a few dark sports bras, I definitely like the other ones. The simplicity of this one though, is possibly something that would be more comfortable with all my supine (back) positions. I think it’s maybe something that I might have room for both of the styles but I’m gravitating towards the pink at the moment (though I have never really been a pink person so it is unusual that I have been drawn to all the pinks that thru have right now).

These bra sized sports bras are not cheap so I definitely do have a little bit more thinking to do, especially as I am still considering the Ebb to Train bra as well.

I am /loving/ the back of this bra for whatever reason. Glad it works for you.

    • 1

Yeah, it’s nice and open. Sometimes I find that the j hooks are in the wrong spot and uncomfortable. I mean, it’s not pretty by any means, but it’s functional and comfortable.

    • 1

I just got this in a 34E. The other styles U tried in 34E were not good fits, but this was perfect! I got the electric blue and love it. In a direct comparison jumping up and down it hold me in place about as well as my panache underwire sports bra, so that’s pretty good, especially considering it is wireless (which I prefer) and has front adjust straps with hooks that won’t slip (which I love). E cup is the biggest they go. One thing I like about this over my Panache wired is that since it’s wireless I don’t have to worry about my close set boobs. When supported there is basically no space between them, so any wires that aren’t overlapping are slightly uncomfortable after awhile. The molded cups give some shape to prevent too extreme uniboob, and the look and support for me at least is superior to the Panache Wireless. If people in the size range and prefer wireless give it a try!!

    • It is definitely a nice one. Glad you are enjoying yours. The electric blue is nice though I would probably get the olive green or burgundy option for this if I decide to get it. I did not do anything like jumping but then I don’t have to, given that it is not a part of my exercises.

I’ve already written about this bra in three sizes (6, 8, and 10). This is the second review of the size 8. For the majority of the details, check out the other reviews. However, I will recap some.

I originally tried the 10...was ok in the cups but, too large in the band. I later tried the 6 on and omg it was so tight and compressive by comparison to some of the others that I have tried in the 6. I later tried the 8 but, I ultimately opted for the Free To Be Serene Longline in a size 6. I had to get that one shipped ... to me from another store as it was sold out online and locally before I had decided to get it.

I tried it on again in the 8 in the pink mist colour after I had decided to pick up the 23” Cropped Scalloped Wunder Under leggings in navy. The picture online shows the leggings with a pink bra and I really liked that combination...though I don’t know if I will be wearing it on its own with the leggings or under a shirt, but probably under a shirt so the coordinating colour is sorta irrelevant. In the end, I stuck with the Free To Be Serene Longline but, told myself that I would try to get this one next. Then I saw it went on sale and knew that it was to be. Oddly, the store by me had it at the regular price today but, the sale sku was available at a different store location so I have ordered it over the phone to get shipped to me. The shop assistant said that yes, it was exactly the same one, but that the “we made too much” sale items are under a different sku. So it was pay $54 CAD and get it locally today or have it sent out from the other store under the sale sku for $39 CAD and get it later this week. It’s rather nuts if you ask me.

So on to the bulk of the review now...

This bra is designed for a DD-E cup, according to the website, and is designed for light support. I would have to disagree with this and say that it feels like medium support at minimum to me. The construction and design of this bra seems to be a cross between the Free To Be Serene and the Energy bra with a semi longline length. The back straps are more elaborate than the Energy, so more like the Free To Be Serene (with some of the straps a little bit thicker and supportive than the rest). Unlike the Free To Be Serene though, the material under the arms is higher all the way around and doesn’t taper down towards the back as much. It’s more like the Energy bra in this respect. The material is luxtreme like the Energy and Free To Be Serene however, it has the side shaping and support seams of the Free To Be Serene that the Energy does not have. I feel like this bra is snugger and somewhat more compressive than the Free To Be Serene and more comparable to the Energy bra. The cups of this bra are a bit taller than the other bras though so, while it has its own style, it is a bit of a hybrid in my opinion.

Just to reiterate what my size and shape are for relevance of the fit:

    My snug measurement is 28”
My standing over bust is about 37”
    My leaning bust is 39”

I have lost a few pounds in the past month or so and there is some slight variation in the measurements. I rounded out some from the in between figures. I do typically wear a 30F or 30FF because I have a weirdly sensitive chest and sternum and bands that are under 29” stretched without distorting the wires are painful even if they are technically the correct fit. I prefer a ttd or slightly snug 30 band.

I have tallish roots with shallow upper fullness. Vertically, I am a bit more even fullness but, I fit functionally short and fob due to the soft and pendulous nature of them. I’m center full as well.

I personally feel that having such soft tissue in combination with the compressive styles means that I risk the cup edge cutting into my tissue even if it’s a good volume. I simply don’t have the resistance. In fact, the picture for this bra shows someone who is much more rounded and fuller than me. As a result, I do actually prefer encapsulation sports bras but, they are a little bit more overkill for my current needs.

As I said, I find that this style is more compressive than the Free To Be Serene even though it is the same materials. The band is only slightly looser than I would like though the cups are fine. This is ok for me because I’m not using it for anything that’s higher impact. I’m going to one on one Pilates once a week (usually) and spend a great deal of the session on my back (supine) or sitting and occasionally on my tummy (prone). My bra needs are that it has to be somewhat supportive but, ultimately it’s got to be comfortable. So if it’s a little bit looser in the band than would be ideal for a traditional bra bra fit, I think it’s ok as long as I don’t slip out of the bottom and still feel supported. And sometimes the snugger longline and crop styles will actually roll up a bit more which is kind of a pain so it might be better if it is a little bit looser.

I’ll obviously have to wear it to a session and see how it is once I get the delivery (last time it was ordered on a Friday and delivered on the Monday morning so it should be quick).

    • Every time I try one that’s non cup sized and compression, I get that bulge at the top. And it bugs me personally, so I can never do these, even though they are always SO CUTE

    • Yeah it’s definitely a challenge for me with the 9” difference between my under bust and over bust as well as the soft tissue. I will primarily be wearing this one with a shirt so I’m not too fussed about a slight bulge (unless it’s a snug shirt and very visible). This would definitely fit me better if I had firmer tissue. But I’m happy enough with it for the price and the fact that it will work for lighter coloured tops.

This is one of the new styles of sports bra that has been released recently. It’s one of the bra sized styles that is offered in A-E. It’s not a perfect or terribly inclusive size range but, it’s a little bit better than some, I suppose. It’s designed for sweaty medium impact cardio workouts according to the website. The style of this sports bra is reminiscent of a Shock Absorber with the keyhole back design (which they say is for air flow.

Long time readers of this series of Lululemon bras reviews will know that I am taking one on one Pilates lessons and that I need sports ... bras that are moderately supportive because of my size but, most importantly, comfortable. My activity is pretty low impact...I am not jumping up and down or jiggling around. We do a warm up, and a few exercises that involve a roll down, so I do need some support/containment here whilst I am hanging upside down some but, I’m on my back in a supine position A LOT...whether it’s on the mat or the reformer. We are doing some sitting up things and we very occasionally will do something in a prone position on my tummy.

This bra is wireless and has semi encapsulated cups via internal foam shaping, but looks like a crop top from the front. As I said before, it’s got the Shock Absorber keyhole back vibe. The straps are semi adjustable on the top section and there’s a hook and eye closure with the band. I did find that I had to loosen the straps up quite a bit to be comfortable though I would probably keep them tighter if I was running or jumping and needed a little bit more support and lift. I also found that it was a bit tricky to do up the clasps and hooks, which I can say has been a consistent challenge with all of the hook and eye closure styles that they have. Perhaps it is easier with wear or simply the material that the hook tape is made of. It’s not a huge problem but, rather an observation.

Now, the band itself was a source of confusion for me. The x shape of the keyhole back was pretty snug in this 34DD but I could do up the clasps on the middle or tightest hooks which is obviously not ideal. But at the same time, it was still comfortable and I felt support from that keyhole section as well as the long length.

I think I might have tried the 32E a few weeks ago when I bought my leggings and I think I remember that it was fitting really tight and small but it might have been a 32DD or perhaps I hadn’t extended the straps. I might need to try it out again but I think that this pink one might work out quite well for me and my needs. It is maybe a smidge of overkill with the keyhole back and all but it is not as much as the Panache Wired Sports Bra I have is.

    • I tried this one in 34E as well and I was spilling over the cups. I have the same problem with the X back styles, it will feel super tight everywhere and then I can do the clasp on the tightest hook!! I also find them difficult to get off when I’m tired after a workout lol

    • Yeah I suspect that the x is snugger and makes it fit a bit smaller. The more I think about it, this one is probably going to be better than the 32E. But I do love this colour and how it does look like a crop top from the front.

Ok everyone...here’s the Free to Be Elevated in the size 8. I initially tried it on in the 10, and the cups were good but the band was too loose. Then I tried a 6 after I had had some luck with that size in other styles. The 6 was definitely compressing and it cut into my tissue some. If I was going to be bouncing around, it might have been ok, but for my low impact Pilates sessions, I need to be comfortable and somewhat supported. I do do some roll downs so I do need to not spill out either but, a bra like this would ... probably be under a shirt anyway.

So here’s the in between size. I’ve sort of been between the 6 and 8 in most of the styles. I’m a 30FF though occasionally size down to a 30F if it’s a taller style or something for fot breasts, as mine are quite soft and squishy, even with a tendency to fob, and average height roots that are shallow. So I’m functionally fob with short roots.

This one seems to be a good size. It is slightly looser in the band but it did not feel like it was riding up or my boobs were escaping from the bottom either. It was probably a bit more relaxed. The coverage of this is a little bit higher than most of the non high neck styles yet it’s definitely got a little bit of strap details at the back. Not as flourishing as the Free To Be Serene and slightly more embellished than the Energy. Unlike the Energy bra, this one does also have some side seams for shape as well. The band seems slightly thicker and longer as well..it’s not longline length but does feel a bit firmer than the Serene. I feel like it is a hybrid of the two styles.

I’ve ordered the Free To Be Serene longline from a location in Vancouver to be shipped to me. It’s a size 6, but it’s a stretchier material. I did try it a few weeks ago but had wanted to try the 8, but then nobody had it so I’m going to try the 6 again. Once the files are fixed here, I will upload pics. If it’s not going to work, this one is a strong possible option.

Please ignore the giant bruise on my arm. I’ve had it for a week. Dunno how I got it...I just bruise easily. Always have, even as a kid (teachers got concerned in elementary school and had my parents investigated, though nothing was wrong...my parents are/were absolutely amazing).

    • 1

Wow seriously, they had your parents investigated? Better safe than sorry I suppose but that must have been a weird experience.

I know the feeling 100%, I bruise easily too.
What can I say, quite fair skinned, sensitive and not the best circulation?

Always have that (lame, IMO) Natasha Bedingfield song in my head whenever someone mentions this hahaha.

    • 2

Yeah, my parents were freaked out but, like you said, the teachers were just looking out for me and other students. My dad bruised easily too, and I am sure I get it from his side of the family. I’m also hyper mobile and it’s quite common for us to bruise and not be aware of it.

I’m going to Pilates and I would like something a bit better than the aerie longline bralette I have. It’s stretchy and comfortable but pretty lacklustre for support, and while Pilates is pretty light impact, I think I can do better.

I usually wear a 30F/FF depending on the brand (more the 30FF these days). My snug under bust is 28-29” (varies sometimes with inflammation), my standing over bust is 37-38”, and my leaning is 39-40”. I have soft tissue which is problematic as you will see with some of the other bras I will be posting about.

This is one of the two styles that are offered ... in bra sizes up to E cups that I tried, though I didn’t record the other one and I think the third one is a zip one or a style that is not really something I have interest in. I’m not sure if there are any others, but of the bra sized offerings, this one was my favourite. I think I tried the Fine form as well, but the back is weird.

I tried this bra in 3 sizes, two of which I have here because the third (32DD) was tried on a week ago before I had thought of taking pictures. The best fit from last week was the 34DD, as the 32DD was a bit small in the cup. At the time, I thought it was only up to DD. Once I was home and checked out the site more, I saw it was up to E, so that’s why I went back yesterday to try more on.

The fit of the Run Times bra is by far the best of all in terms of cup size and band snugness. That said it *is* a little more than what I need for the Pilates sessions. I need comfort *and* some level of support. I’m not jumping up and down or doing anything high impact or sweaty or anything.

The bra has thick straps that I think are padded and can be made racer back with a j hook. I think the person last week told me that they also detach to criss
cross. I’m not sure if it’s true. The cups are wireless and not really encapsulation. It’s more of a compression style. Unlike the Fine Form, it’s got a 3x3 hook and eye closure.

As I mentioned in a previous review, I have been doing a lot of mat and reformer work on my back so I need the comfort most there. And this is really where the difference between the 34DD and this 32E come into play. The 32E is by far the best technical fit, as the band is nice and snug, however, the 34DD is just that slightly looser fit on the loosest hooks that may make it better suited for my needs. I didn’t have any place to try laying down on my back to see how comfortable it is/was. I’m doubting that it is going to stretch out much so I *think* the 34DD might be my best option if I go with this style.

I had been trying mostly size 6 and 8 and ... finding the 6s too hard to put on and smashing my breasts and showing a fair bit of side boob and spilling out the top. The 8 was better.

For the lower cost this is a possibility. It *is* a compromise with the fit a little bit, but it’s definitely better than some of the stuff I have tried on over the last few weeks. The band is a little bit looser than I would like but it’s better than the 6 in the cups, and although it is going to relax a little bit with wear, I don’t think the 6 is going to loosen up enough in the cups and I still have a bit of side boob in it (and like I said, I had trouble getting the 6s over my head and bust).

I have not decided yet if any of the lululemon sports bras are ultimately winners and whether or not the extra $20 is worth it for the others that are slightly better fits than this. I do like the straps and it is comfortable so it’s a possible option for the immediate future.

    • It looks really good. Does it offer enough support for your activity?

    • Wilderness1 I think so. I mean, I would obviously love the band to be a little snugger or have some adjustability, but as a comparison to what I have been wearing, it’s better. Today I actually wore my Zlote Oko because the band is so destroyed and it was not too bad. But I’m on my back a lot right now so
I have to make sure that I am comfortable as well as moderately supported. It’s not high impact or anything. I’m hoping to get the others added soon. I just hate having to build a new file for them, lol.

    • Calluna yeah I can see a regular bra being irritating on your back when you're doing laying exercises.

I know what you mean about entering new files for bras. It's a bit tedious, but just leave it for when you're feeling motivated.

I got a sleep/lounge bralette from ebay the other day that I was going to enter but I can't even find a brand. I wanted to tell others about it because it was like $10.00 (cnd) with shipping. I like it so much I've ordered 2 more (the others were $14.32 with shipping). They're from China but fit surprisingly well. It creates lots of cleavage so boobs touch, and I sized up to 32E so I could get it over my head, but it's comfortable and supportive. I'd do yoga or pilates in it, but I'm not sure how firm you want your sports bra to be (it's technically more like a bralette, not sports bra). I took the pads out as it was bubbling with pads in. (Let me know if you want me to send you pictures. Imgurs down now, so I can't attach a link). They're almost out of the "bigger" sizes. This is the one:

based on the fit of the Free To Be Serene but they didn’t have it. I should have asked for the 6 as well, though I am skeptical about it working.

This one was ok with the coverage and the cups but the longline portion felt loose and I could feel my boobs trying to fold over on themselves at the imf and it felt like they wanted to slip down out of the bra. They wouldn’t, but a snugger band would’ve been better.

For the price, it’s the cheapest of all of the potential winners but I am not sold on this size. I definitely want to try this in a smaller size. It possibly not the best fit but I do think it’s a possibility for starters due to the lower cost. I do want to invest in something good, but this is $56-ish CAD iirc, and the other potential ones are $20 more. I also like the strappy details on the back and it doesn’t seem quite as intense as some of the others that I tried.

I have a Panache Sport Wireless, but need something cuter for yoga class. After a few disastrous attempts with S/M/L sized bra tops, a few friend recommended Lululemon to me. I bought their smallest back and largest cup - 32DDD - on sale from the website. My real size is probably around UK 28G - I'm not too sure anymore because I've been wearing 60K Comexim and 60G Ewa Michalak's (with extenders).

The band is wide and firm, so it feels somewhat snug despite being 2 bands larger than what I usually wear. The cups are wide and shallow, but tall so there is good coverage without side boob, ... although there is a little bit of cleavage. The weave back looks cute, but that means the bra must be clasped from the back - that took a bit of practice for me lol.

I would say the bra is of good quality, if you don't expect much support from it - it pretty much just hugs my chest nicely and that's all. I don't think it's totally worth the price tag but I also don't regret my purchase.

I initially bought a 8 - Lululemon » Like A Cloud Longline bra last summer, and it was a surprise hit for me. I fully intended to buy more, even though it’s a small compromise with the size, but they recently came out with a D/DD version of this bra which is a little bit different, which I knew I had to try. Never mind I’m not a D/DD unless I have to sister size up (32DD in the tighter panache style sports bras that are quite tall), it’s still a bonus option.

So, visually, the main difference between this and the other longline is ... that one of the split straps is thicker, allegedly for extra support. I asked the sales person if this style also had roomier cups, and they said yes. Because of this, I was able to get away with a much smaller size. A size 4! I initially tried the 8, moving to a 6, and eventually the 4.

From a fit perspective, in the same way that I can wear a 6 or 8 in the regular longline, and it’s a slight compromise for the band snugness or boob room, the same thing can be said with the 4 and 6. Given that I have felt like the 8 in the original one has stretched out some since I first got it, I opted to take the smaller of the two sizes. The 6 would be a bit better for boob room and not squish me together too much to the center. If I saw a colour I like on sale and it was only a 6, I’d get it. The size chart puts the 4 with 30-32 bands and the 6 is 32-34 bands. My snug under bust is currently 27-28” but I generally prefer the fit of tts or snug 30 bands. I’m somewhere in the 28F/FF or 30E/F sizing so you can see how I’m kind of in the middle of the 4 and 6. I’m going to see how the 2 size 4s fit, and I might grab a 6 for comparison in another colour and see how both sizes fit over time with washing and wearing.

As I mentioned in my other review, the original version is definitely daintier, having 2 thin straps, but underneath a shirt, only the thinner inner strap is the one that will likely be the one that is visible, and as I primarily wear shirts with my sports bras as I mentioned in my other review, this is certainly still ok. I definitely do like this style. The pillowy molded foam cups are soft and smooth, the longline adds some support, and it’s not a super high coverage bra, but high enough to not spill over and put the boobs on display. I already have 2 of these (this one being the newest one as I got it on sale last week), and I have other colours that I am interested in.

It’s maybe not perfect for someone too much bigger than me, but perhaps firmer tissue might be better if you have to size up. Compared with the Free To Be Elevated, which is supposed to be DD/E, this is less compressive and a lower support option. Since I wear my Like a Cloud bras for Pilates and lounging, this level of support is great. I’m comfortable and still supported enough. I’m not sure if I would try running in this version unless I sized down to a 2 for more compression, but I would honestly just pick a more suitable style if I needed to.

I’m happy to see them extending the line some, although as we all know, the alphabet goes past D. Lol. It’s a start though. I’m almost sure they have been feeling pressure from Athleta which offers a D/DD version for most of their sports bras, and became available in Canada recently as stronger competition.

This looks super cute on you! Love the color. It’s very spring fresh. Awesome detail on the size comparison with the other ones you got. So helpful when trying to choose a size.

    • 1

Thanks! I almost got the pink blossom instead as it was $10 cheaper than the mint, but I already have a dusty rose pink sports bra which is similar (pink blossom is definitely brighter than the one I have). Both looked good with the blue leggings. The colour is available in the align tank, free to be serene bra, and maybe other things, so I might do one of those options. There’s a current purple in this style that I will probably get. I tried it in the regular one to see what it looks like. I definitely need the longline version of the bra though.

    • 1

I added pictures for the pink blossom (didn’t buy) and red merlot (the original one I bought).

    • 1

Calluna Oh wow I love the merlot set! I have yet to try anything from Lululemon, but this is inspiring me to check them out. My niece, who danced competitively, swears by their leggings. She said they’re the only ones she was never able to put holes in lol.

    • 1

They are expensive, but I do like the way they feel. Some people swear by crz yoga as dupes in the butterluxe and nakedfeel soft collections. Nepoagym has a few dupes as well. I have not tried leggings yet from either one, but I have been pleased with my nepoagym shirts. The crz yoga stuff is ok. In the Like A Cloud longline B/C version, the grey shirt I’m in is from them. It fits a little bit weird, though non of the items I have are direct lululemon dupes, though the crz yoga bra is, I think, for alo or athleta or someone else.

I do love the merlot set…just wish I had a 4 in the leggings. Every time I put them on or pull them off, I do a bit of thighmaster resistance band work to stretch out the waist some.

I’ve had this bra for several months now. They have recently come out with a D/DD version which I own two of now, and thought it was worth mentioning here. As this was the first one I got, I thought I would review it here as I used it to help make my mind up with the new version sizing.

I got this at the end of the summer, because I got it for my Pilates Nerd “happiness” tank top since none of my sports bras had thin not delicate enough straps. I was close to getting an Energy bra, but I thought I would try this one ... even though it is a light support for B/C sizing. I sized up to the 8 as a result, but like a lot of Lululemon sizes, I fall somewhere in between the 6 and 8….6 for the band and 8 for the boob room.

This is a super soft material that’s got built in molded cups rather than cup pads, and it is pretty smooth and seamless under tops. This material pairs well with the Align, Instill, and Wunder Under materials. This version is the longline and features thin split straps that cross over at the back. I find that the longline is more supportive under the bust than the regular bra, with larger boobs.

Since I got it, I have noticed that the material has stretched out some. The band is still snug enough, but certainly not as snug as I would prefer. I did try the 6 and found it was a little bit more uniboob and pushing my soft tissue to the center too easily as other size 6 bras have done, but knowing how it has stretched in the 8, I might consider a 6 next time.

I love the more rounded profile that this gives me, that I don’t have to worry about pads, and the split straps are so lovely and dainty. They can be placed together or apart, and look sweet under the tank top or with a wider boatneck top. I will probably buy more, even though it’s available in the D/DD style now, as this one is a bit daintier, I think. I wear this for Pilates, so high support is not needed. Additionally, I do wear a top with all my sports bras when I go to my lessons. It’s an open space and prefer to be a bit more modest for anyone else in the space. My instructor is also more covered up, so I use that as a guideline.

The only real gripe I have is the cost. I’m not sure what makes it $74 when the other pullover options are $54-64. Hopefully, I can get more with sale price colors (like I did for one of the D/DD versions).

So this is not the first time I have tried this bra on in the size 6. I tried it earlier this year, I think. At that time, it was a struggle to put on, and it was pretty compressive. I spilled out the top some, since I have pretty soft and not very resistant tissue. That one is here: 6 - Lululemon » Free To Be Elevated

I bought the size 8 in the pink colour that had gone on sale. You can see that here: 8 - Lululemon » Free To Be Elevated

Since then, I have lost about 15 pounds due ... to some health issues. The size 8 in pink does still fit and feel comfortable, but when I was trying on bras last week, the fitter thought I might be better in the 6. I told them that I have tried a 6 and spilled out but, that since I had lost weight, I could try it again. The pads were removed and they liked the fit. I really love the teal colour and the only size on the rack was a 4 but, it turned out that the mannequin was wearing a size 6.

I think I described the bra in one of my other reviews as being a cross between the Free To Be Serene and Energy bras. Material is closer to the Energy in terms of compression. Straps are more embellished like FTBS. Side coverage is higher under the arms like Energy whereas the FTBS tapers. There are darts and shaping that are more closely related to the FTBS than the Energy, I think. This particular bra is also cut higher than the other ones as it’s a DD-E sized bra.

So I tried it and love it. I personally think that I would prefer the 8 still, as the two size 6 bras I have from them are a little bit tight over the shoulders but, the band is great. I’m hoping that they will stretch out some with a little bit more wear. I’m definitely not spilling out in this one anymore (as I’ve lost 1.5-2” of my over bust measurement). The only thing I don’t like about this bra is that the shape is rather uniboob under a shirt. I think this is why I might prefer a little bit more room in the cups with the 8, and not be quite so compressed inwards towards (opposite of east west) and against my chest. I will have to see if I can get a good picture of what I mean with the shape.

I do really love this but, I know of my weight comes back, it’s not gonna fit. While it does fit me currently, I think I still would’ve preferred the 8 even if this is more technically correct in the fit. I find this bra fits sort of in between the two bras I have already listed about. It’s more compressed than the pink size 8, and not as tight or compressed as the original black size 6 I tried previously. Possibly because it was stretched on the mannequin. I’m going to try to remove the pads and see if I like it better that way.

Anyway, I do like it, and the colour is brilliant with all of my leggings at the moment. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

They make so many cute bras but I just can’t find the sweet spot between a supportive band and not spilling out the top!

    • confused I know. It’s styles like this that are hard, even though this is a DD-E style. I wish they had a plus range. So like they’d offer sizes like 2, 2+, 4, 4+, 6, 6+, etc. The + would be a curvy fit for small band sizes with filler busts. I do like the bra sized options but, I wish they’d have something that was encapsulated. I do think that they are trying to improve though.

When I first went to Lululemon to try on the sports bras, the salesperson/educator suggested that I start with a size 6 and we selected a few styles that might be better suited for my bust, which is on the large side of average at a 30FF UK (30H US) and sometimes a cup size lower depending on the shape and materials.

I initially had trouble with the size 6 and felt pretty squashed inside and it was a little bit difficult to get on. I did like the bottom snugness though. I tried a size 8 and a 10, though the 8 was the best compromise in ... that the band was only a little bit looser and I had better coverage with it.

I held off on getting anything at the time because I had wanted to try other styles in other sizes that were not available in that location. I’ve still been holding off as I keep trying and narrowing down my best fits.

Anyway, I went back to try this one in the lovely blue colour as I had been trying on leggings in the olive green colours that went so well with the blue. I tried the 6 again and for some reason it seemed better. I’m not sure if it’s the colour or just my perception of fit in this particular area of bras.... I feel like I have relaxed some with the rules of the perfect fit in this style of bra. As it’s for Pilates and it is relatively low impact, I’m really trying to find some comfortable bras that are supportive but not overkill for my needs either.

I like this one because it is a longer length so I have a little bit of tummy coverage and it’s a little bit like a crop top if I had no shirt over top. The higher neckline allows for a little more vertical coverage and some compression. As is with most of the bras of the nature, I have a little bit of side boob. It’s not major, and under a shirt it is not a big deal as it is not visible.

I do wonder how they would all fit if my boobs were firmer and more self supporting. I do like this bra and will probably get either a size 6 like this one or a size 8, but as this is the one most similar to what I have already, I’m holding off on it for now while I focus on something that will fill the current gap I have.

Fabletics has great sports bras, Calluna. Less than $50. Size S fits me perfectly (and as you know we wear about same size bra). Yes - they're compression bras, but I find that's what performs the best. Just be careful and picks the styles with the most coverage - Blare Crossback, Trinity High Impact. Belle Hi Impact. You may like the Mila Midi - Size S was too big in the waist for me, but your mid section is larger than mine, so it'll probably work quite well. Good luck. They have free returns, so easy to order a bunch and try

    • Hey! Hi AGBras ! Nice to see you! I will have a look! I think part of the issue I have is that I am so soft. So I feel like I don’t have resistance against the compression and it cuts into the upper tissue. I have been looking at Buffbunny as I have found some reviews by a girl who is a 32DDD/F. But against, she’s close to half my age and probably firmer and fuller than me. I would like to find something that I can wear under a shirt as well. My two current options are a crop top with built in bra from Hyba (Reitmans) and the 32F Panache Sport (wired). The Panache is ok underneath a shirt but is both quite tall on me so it shows if I have any kind of a lower neckline, as well as the Hyba, though the Hyba is more of a top so tend to wear it on it’s own or with my thin hoodie jacket. I would like to have something lower cut for my thermal zip top and lighter all over that will be ok underneath a regular top.

I recently revisited the sports bras from lululemon now that I have been going to Pilates relatively regularly now since mid October and have been wearing the hyba sports bra top that I got. I have also been trying the other hyba sports bra offerings and my opinions on fit and comfort and what I need or what will work have evolved since I initially tried the batch of lululemon ones on.

This is one that I revisited and it is actually a 6 and it feels great. I’m not sure if it’s the material that is more giving, my positioning of it on me, or that I’m ... not quite as judgmental on the slightest bit of spilling. I think it’s no more spilling than the size 8, and I wonder if it’s really visible underneath a shirt.

To be honest, I’m quite surprised that I was ok with the 6. Might be this particular one though. I do love the colour combination of the white/violet verbena though, and it looks amazing with the olive green and cassis leggings, but I might actually get the navy and pink taupe to match with the navy wunder under leggings with scalloped bottoms.

ETA: I’m typically a 30F/FF in UK sizes. I take 65FF/70F in Ewa Michalak and 65HH/70H in Comexim. I’m soft, center full, even with tall but shallow roots which effectively makes me short rooted and fob. I need narrow and projected cups that are not too tall.

*I wasn’t initially planning to take pictures of the bra only, so I had to crop the full length pictures, which is why I had my camera that way. Normally I would flip it towards me and the bra only, but I had wanted the full length to get the leggings in shot.

    • I LOVE the strappy back! Is it suportive enough without actual cups or wires?

    • marilynne for what I do in Pilates, yes. I’m on my back a lot right now and I’m mostly using my legs for the exercises. Some exercises with my arms are being added. I’m not jumping up and down or anything else in a rapid way. Pilates is very slow and methodical/intentional at least at this point for me.

    • Also, I should mention that the free to be elevated is similar but for DD/E cups and it’s a little more coverage while it still has a strappy back (though not quite as delicate). I have only been able to try it in 10 - Lululemon » Free To Be Elevated and the back of it was too big. I’m quite interested in the trying a 6 or 8 in it.

This seems to be an older version of this style, as it’s got a much smaller band at the bottom in the front, and it’s not as good a fit or support as the current ones. Firmer tissue might work better with it than the soft tissue that I have. I’ve listed it locally and will try to list it here if I can find a way to measure it.
