  1. Tisha (955)

The Tisha lives up to its hype. It has pretty much everything a t-shirt bra should have: great fit, smooth fabric, basic colors, and foam lining for modesty. It gets uncomfortable and itchy around the back after long term wear, and the foam lining is on the stiff side, so the bra feels very structured. On the other hand, it is very supportive and definitely does its job well.

Purchased early 2010 from Breakout Bras.

Me: Average projection. Fuller on bottom. Slightly wider left breast (I suspect this breast is also 1-2 ml taller than my other breast). Maybe tall roots? Usually wear 28DD or 30D.

One of my recommended Bratabase bras. This bra fits great! No lines show through my shirts, which is a huge plus! I was a bit hesitant wearing the bra because the wings seem so delicate, but it fits great. Straps don't dig in and gore tacks. I'm surprised lines don't show through thin shirts; at least one side will show through thin shirts because I'm not 100% symmetrical. I've been looking for a good plunge bra for awhile so this is jackpot. The wings seem like it will rip apart easily or holes will form easily, so I don't know how long this bra will last. I think I'll enjoy my time using this bra.

So far, Le Mystere 30 bands have fit me pretty well, and I recently discovered the ultra-flattering Tisha Evolution, so when I saw this random bra on sale at Nordstrom Rack, I decided to give it a try. After all, who doesn't want Infinite Possibilities?

The premise of this bra is that the straps can be adjusted to be worn in a number of different ways, with three strap positions (standard, close, open) and a halter option. However, the description of the bra as "super low plunge cups with a soft uplift provide dramatic cleavage" failed to mention that this is a heavily padded foam cup, which ... I absolutely detest. There's about 1"/2.5 cm of padding at the bottom of the cup, and because there is so much padding, the entire cup is extra tall to accommodate it. This is the first bra I've come across in 30D that comes in at a 6.1"/15.5 cm cup height. Now, since the padding ends up adding at least a full cup size, it doesn't look like an insanely tall cup when worn, but I find it to be very uncomfortable since I like wider, shorter cups with no padding. This bra is simply not my style although it definitely did its job, giving me cleavage and tons of rounded projection.

Outside of this, I found that the bra fit true to size for Le Mystere. Recently I've been between 30D and 30DD, but I've found Le Mystere's 30D cups to a little larger and more projected than other brands' molded cups, so they fit me well. The band also runs true to size and is firm and secure. The wings are made from a super powerful nylon/spandex stretch and come in at 17% spandex, so I think this bra will hold up well. A good quality bra and a good premise, however I simply can't tolerate the feel of the padding long enough to give the convertible options a try.

This one was a miss for me, I need an extender as the band is TINY and tight enough if I don’t use the extender I’m warping the wires, and bulging out in all sorts of places. First and foremost I say sister size up if your going to buy this bra.
So the rest of this review is WITH an extender. I’m not sure why but the wires, gore side, hurt. They dig in so bad, and while I suspect I would benifit from touching or even overlapping wires, I haven’t had this problem this badly before. When I first put this on and do a ... proper scoop I quad ever so slightly and get some minimal outer side emptiness in the cups, but once I move around my breasts settle in filling the empty area and quading goes away, so not perfect shape wise but my breast is squishy enough to settle in. Straps are good for me, comfort is great other than painful gore (not uncomfortable, PAINFUL it leaves bruises if worn for 12 hours).

Edit/update* while trying to find reasons for fit issues with another bra I ran into a few blogs/forum post about scooping from center, didn’t really think I had the target boobs for this advice was me but decided couldn’t hurt to try, it worked! Wore this bra Saturday all day it caused no pain, and the slight emptiness I had was gone.

  5. Sophia Lace Bra (2435)

I finally got my hands on the Le Mystere Sophia Lace Bra in 30D, which has been sold out on Nordstrom Rack for a while. If you've seen my other reviews, I bought a 30C a long time ago when that was closer to my size, recently tried my current normal sister size of 30DD and found it slightly too big, and decided to size down to 30D. Thankfully, this size worked out!

I think that this bra fits quite similarly to the Masquerade Alice, where I also had to size down to a 30D. Compared to Alice, the band is much more TTS (it is ... a snug 30), and the cups are a little shallower, but it doesn't feel too small as it is designed for FOT shapes and can accommodate more upper fullness. Both are plunge balconettes that give a bit of natural push up without padding and create a really nice rounded shape. Alice runs a full cup size big, but this seems to run about half a cup size big. If you are a fan of Alice, give this bra a try!

I had two problems in the 30DD/E that were remedied by sizing down--first, the 30DD/E is designed for a wider frame, so the outer edges of the cups are too high under my arms and cause gapping. Second, the bras I got in that size had this weird ridge at the bottom of the foam where it meets the wire, so there is no room for the wire to sit against the IMF. I didn't see this issue in my 30C or in this bra, so I think it's just a manufacturing inconsistency.

I'm glad I got this to work for me again, because the bra is super pretty, and I just love the way it looks. The outer cup is covered with a layer of floral jacquard lace with a slight crossdye effect. The cradle and band are also fully covered in lace. I like that the band is actually made from mesh topped with lace, and has a proper wide bottom edge elastic, so it's not one of those flimsy lace bands that so many brands love to make. While it's narrow, it actually feels firm and supportive! The straps are narrow, but they do get a bit wider as sizing goes up. The front of the straps is covered with textured picot edged ribbon, while the adjustable portion at the back is plain satin. Fully adjustable straps would have been better, but the length of these isn't too bad. The only decoration is a lace bow at the gore with a small teardrop crystal charm.

I recently realized to my horror that I've been wearing cup sizes that are too small for me, so over the summer I replaced my bra wardrobe with properly-fitting unlined bras. Now that it's getting cooler out, I've started the process of replacing all of my molded cup bras too. Since I've been experiencing a fair amount of tissue migration, I've gone up about half a cup size and am pretty solidly between 30D and 30DD, however this has become challenging in terms of finding a great-fitting molded cup bra. After trying on many different styles and sizes, I have happily come across the Le ... Mystere Tisha Evolution--a totally random purchase thanks to Nordstrom Rack that checks all the boxes!

One of the biggest problems I've come across in molded cup bras while being between sizes is that 30D cups tend to be too shallow, therefore they flatten me out, but 30DD cups can get too tall under the arms and also have wires that sit too far back on my ribcage. The most unique aspect of the Tisha Evolution is that the cups are a bit deeper than other bras of a comparable size, and the wires are also much longer. The wire length and projection is more like a 30DD while overall the cup height and wing height are like a normal 30D. This means the cups are roomy enough for me without going too big, thus giving me a nice rounded projected shape with no gapping.

At first, the bra looks a bit odd, because the wires are actually very narrow and look like a deep U. However, the wires are very flexible and mold to your shape when worn. The cups stretch horizontally about 1"/2 cm when worn, so they are actually closer to a 5"/12 cm cup width rather than the measurements listed. I also like that the cups are not too tall and not too short, since overly short cups make me feel like I'm spilling out, and tall cups just feel a bit ridiculous on my petite frame. It's more or less a balconette cut, but perhaps a modest balconnette cut. The only potential issue I can see is that the gore is on the taller side, but it isn't a problem for me.

Even though this isn't a full band bra, I find that it feels really secure and comfortable. The band is one of the most TTS 30s I've come across, and it's a really comfortable construction that feels snug without feeling tight. The entire bra including the band is made from a slightly shiny tricot material with a hefty 25% Spandex. (This fabric is advertised as having some kind of cool touch technology that lasts through a certain number of washes, but this is hard for me to tell). The elastic is enclosed within the wings and not visible, which is a unique construction detail I don't often see. The upper cups have a clean bonded edge. There is a bit of a leotard back, which is also nice. Straps are fully adjustable and are skinny but thick elastic, and they have a bit of texture to them, so I feel they will stay in place better than many other bras.

Aesthetically, it's sleek, simple, smooth, and sophisticated. It reminds me of an old Victoria's Secret Very Sexy bra that I owned and loved for many years. The only embellishment is rose gold hardware and a small LM circular charm at the center front, plus the aforementioned strap elastic detail. I love every part of this bra, but one thing I noticed is that the back hook section feels like stiff plastic, and this was odd enough I thought it was a fluke, but I ordered 3 more of these and they are all made from the same material. This could be uncomfortable to some, but it wasn't noticeable when worn.

I have finally found my perfect t-shirt bra, and I highly recommend this style. One other point that truly impressed me-- I ordered 4 total bras in the same size, and all of them measured very close, and several of them measured identically. Since I've had experiences with some bra models varying significantly in measurements, this was a pleasant surprise. A fantastic find!

    ================

28E Update: After wearing this bra for several months as my daily T-shirt style, I've concluded that the narrow wires aren't working for me. While they do expand to the right width, their natural tendency is to shrink down to a narrower width, so at the end of the day, I can see that the wires are sitting on my tissue based on the marks that they leave. A great bra but I'd recommend for narrow shapes rather than wide.

Tried this based on the reddit calculator, but it skewed small because one breast is smaller than the other. DEFINITELY too small. Sad because it's so soft and lovely, i'm sure it would be great for someone actually in this size.

I have shallow breasts (28"underbust, 31"bust) and got measured at a 28DD. I tried a 30D just in case a 28 band was too tight. The 30 band on this one is comfortable on me though some may say it's not tight enough. The cup fitting was tricky for me. When bending over or standing up with perfect posture, there are no visible gaps at the top of the cups. However, if I move my arms in front of my chest gaps will appear so I will be returning this bra and trying a 30C. I have rather wide roots as well ... and this bra addressed that issue very well. The underwire reached up a little further than I'm used to be it wasn't bothersome. The bra itself is made of very comfy fabric. The "Natural" color is a medium tan color and passes the white t-shirt test for me. It is a passable match for my asian skin color. One disappointing aspect of this bra is that straps aren't fully adjustable which stinks for us short gals. I think if the straps came up a bit further the gapping wouldn't have been as visible. The padding is about 1/8" - similar to Victoria Secret Body Wireless bras. The bow and metal coin are sewn on so if you don't like them a simple snip will take it off!

*Edited to add that I learned that gapping in some positions is considered normal for molded cup bras...So I might keep this for now and try a 30C for comparison.

At first the part where the straps meet the cups rubbed really bad. It went away after a couple weeks, though. The cups are a bit tall for me and has caused the outer edge of the left cup to start curving out. That is my smaller side so that could be the reason.

The band fits much more like a 28 than a 30. It does not show in t-shirts and offers very flattering shape. The thick straps offer nice support, but are very visible in tank tops or wide necklines. It is very comfortable if you are out and about but the gore tends to dig in a little bit if I'm lounging around... I think that is due to my usually poor posture and my small frame just leans right into the under-wire where it meets the gore. The color is perfect for wearing white clothing.

However, the lip of the cups dig in to the tops of my breasts, ... so I'm wondering if it is ill fitting or if the cups run small, or if the shape doesn't work well on my body type.
I question that because my boobs are fullest at the bottom and sides and not so much at the top.

The only other complaint I have about this bra is that is not very attractive, and is a bra that I wear for practicality only... I do wish it offered a little more in terms of style because I don't feel very attractive wearing the bra alone, but with clothing it does offer a shape I find flattering so that's nice.

I ordered the Tisha in both 30C and 30D. Most of my well-fitting bras are 30D, but I have a well-fitting Le Mystere bra in 30C.

I first tried on the 30D and it cut into the top of my breast tissue, textbook orange-in-a-glass effect (I have shallow boobs). The 30C still does that very very slightly, not enough for me to say it doesn't fit.

One oddity: even though I ordered the 30C and the 30D from the same web site, they appear to have been manufactured in different places. The 30D has the sizing information printed directly on the band behind the loops while the 30C has the sizing and care info printed on fabric labels sewn into the band.

At first, this bra seemed like the perfect non-Victoria's Secret basic everyday t-shirt bra. The band felt comfortably snug even on my 27" ribcage, and I didn't have any other issues minus the wire sitting on the outside edge of my (bigger) breast and not containing the tissue as much as I like.

Well, I'm not sure if I've had tissue migration or what, but I'm quadboobing a bit on my bigger breast, and I'm totally bummed out! I really want to try this in the next size up (30E) because I think it's the perfect t-shirt bra.

I would highly recommend this bra for those with wide roots and some projection.

I really want to like this bra, but the cup is a bit too small and the band a bit too tight. I'm sure the band will loosen over time, but since the cups are firmly molded, they aren't going to stretch. The bra has nice structure and looks good under a shirt (if you ignore the slight quad-boob). The 30DD may possibly fit better; I had originally intended to exchange them, but just forgot to mail it back in.

This is a plain looking beige bra but one that is supposed to be a very comfortable everyday bra. The band fit well but the cups were too small and cut in on top. I'd recommend trying one cup size larger.
