This is the most ill-fitting bra I have ever tried on. Le Mystere does not use UK sizing. The customer service rep I spoke with by phone did not know this. Unfortunately I didn't research and verify for myself before ordering this final sale bra. I have every possible sign of a too-small bra in the 30F Le Mystere Lolita Strapless. It does have convertible straps that are partially adjustable. Most of it is a stretchy type of cord in the same color as the bra, with four rosette type details on each strap.
Got this off valtron and at first it didn't seem to fit too well. The band is looser than my 28's when I wear them, so probably closer to a 30 band. I have to wear it on the tightest hook.
I tried the bra on again (a couple months later) and it magically fits so well now. I guess the small amount of tissue migration that has happened was enough to fill out the cups. I love the smooth look of this bra as well, and it looks fantastic under shirts!
I've just started discovering "proper" fitting bras. So far my best fit has been in the Fantasie 30F/30FF, but I heard that Le Mystere bands run somewhat tight, so I thought I would give it a try. It fit ok, I couldn't find any major fit problems with it (although the cup shape looked somewhat strange on my smaller breast. It wasn't wrinkling, it just looked strange), but I didn't wear it for very long so I'm not sure if the band would have started to ride up.
I ended up returning it though because of how much east/west projection the bra gave me/how large my chest looked from the front. It wasn't the shape I was looking for.
The perils of local lingerie boutiques and their "fitting" techniques. For all intents and purposes, this bra appeared to fit on me in the fitting room. I, enamored with the beauty of the bra and the fit in the room, purchase it despite being shocked at the price.
Imagine my shock when I return home and it suddenly doesn't fit my breasts without the magic "adjustments" made by said fitter.
Kinda pissed because my left breast is almost hanging out of this bra, whereas my right breast is verging from being properly fitted to now contemplating joining its partner in crime.
The look and feel of this bra is wonderful, hence my purchase--I became enamored with the shape, comfort, and appearance of the bra (not dowdy/matronly at all!); however the fit is ill now, and I am upset. If you are between cup sizes, beware--the perils of black-dyed fabric may be making this bra unnecessarily tighter, so you may wish to go up a cup. Despite this, the band fits more like a 30 than 32.
When I went for my bra fitting, I specifically asked for a smooth-cut style bra to wear under sweaters and t-shirts. While the fitter measured me as a 36FF, she assured me that a 38F in La Mystere was equivalent to a 36FF in Elomi.
I'm pretty sure she pushed this bra on me just to make the sale, as when I wore it yesterday for the first time I found that the underwire digs into my underarms and the center gore doesn't lay flat, which causes the bra to gap a bit at the top.
Overall, this is NOT a good bra for me. I can't say if it's the La Mystere brand in general or that this is simply the wrong size bra. After measuring the depth of the cup, I can say it's definitely way too shallow for my breasts and the band is way too big.
GREAT CLEAVAGE. but actually. i haven't had cleavage this good since i was quadraboobing out of my 32D bras. and this one actually fits and is comfortable.
my only issue is that as a petite woman the straps don't quite adjust to where i'd like them to be, and i can see this becoming more of an issue as the bra stretches out. the cups also seem a little large and set wide and low.
I coveted this bra ever since Oprah publicized it several years ago. I finally got one, and it doesn't fit. Apparently H is the largest cup it comes in, so I'm out of luck.
It is made from such a soft, silky fabric, yet it doesn't seem too stretchy. The straps are comfy and don't dig in at all. It definitely gives an uplifted, rounded shape. It was super comfortable while I wore it.
But the cups are too small. The center gore didn't lie flat. I didn't have too much quad-boob going on, but my boobs were just sort of smashed together and hidden behind the molded cup. Under clothing i could have passed it off. As for looks, we'll its your basic molded-cup t-shirt bra in basic colors.
This bra has a very firm tight band. It's actually very uncomfortable. The wires are to wide for my frame but I like it because under scoop neck shirts it offers full coverage. Most of my bras are plunge or deco and look weird under high scoop neck shirts. I hope to find other comfortable full coverage bras that are slightly padded and still give round look. But in the meantime I'll keep it and wear it occasionally.
I discovered two of these bras (tan and brown) in good shape at a thrift store for a few bucks and bought it. Unfortunately, it just isn't for me. Initially, the cups were too big, but they now fit. While the band is firmer than my current bra (wacoal 853167), it still isn't quite tight enough on the tightest hook. Also, the straps don't fully adjust, so I ended up taking up the straps a good two inches, but now the cups dig into my armpits, so... The underwires dig into my ribcage, too. I'm also not happy with the shape it gives me now that the cups fit - rather pointy and east-west. My little sister noticed right away when I changed into this one from my wacoal bra.
I would suggest trying this out if you get a chance because it seems like a lot of other people love it and it seems to be good quality, but it just didn't work out for me.
I love this bra. It fits my augmented (HP) breasts perfectly, and is comfortable to wear. I wear a 32E in this bra, but a 32G in the Carina and the Lace Tisha, so the fit is different. I have sensitive skin, and it doesn't bother me at all. The straps are nicely padded.
The straps are a bit itchy and the top of the gore is itchy. I wish the band was tighter than it is, but it doesn't ride up, and it's comfortable. The cups give me, as a bottom heavy person with very separate breasts, a really great shape. The material is comfortable. It's not pretty, it's just nude, but it's not the dreaded giant nude monster. Another thing, when I reach up, it cuts into my breast tissue, but when I don't it looks fine. I could probably move to a 30FF.
Just doesn't fit. Way too big around the band and too small in the cups. The central gore really floats away from my sternum. The band is kind of stiff, and probably would be supportive if it fit. The cups are also pretty firm, and look like they would give a good shape, as long as your breasts fit exactly. This is not a bra that conforms to your body. If it fits you, I'm sure it's great, but Le Mystere's sizing just isn't right for me.
The straps are convertible to halter or racerback, but have a wide trim, which seems like a very odd choice. Other than that, there isn't any decoration to speak of.
I'd heard so many great things about this bra, but for me that's just not the case. Fit is one issue, as it's much too big around and much too small in the cups. The other issue is that this bra is truly, incredibly ugly. I was actually relieved when it fit so poorly. I'm 24 and just seeing this bra in my drawer would make me think I was 60.
The straps are very wide, I'm sure for comfort, but taken to the extreme. The body of the bra looks and feels like armor. If it fit it would probably ...be invisible under a T-shirt, as it's nearly completely seamless with hidden underwire and a great nude color. It looks like it would be supportive and it's clearly well made, but it's definitely not for me.
As for fit, it wasn't even close. The underwire sits at least an inch away from my sternum, partly because the band is simply too big, but also because my breasts don't come close to fitting into the cups. I tried it in both an F and G cup, and they're both so far off I couldn't tell any difference.
The more I think of it, I think the issue isn't so much that the bra doesn't fit me, but rather I don't fit this bra, because the bra itself is not one that will forgive or conform in any way. Read more 140 more words
