I have so many of this style bra, although this one in particular is my most recent one from last summer. I have a few others still, but they've honestly stretched out too much. It's been my go to bra and the only one that La Senza carries that fits. Or used to. I'm running into the bands bring too stretchy and now that I'm fairly firmly into 30 bands for the most part, the bands of the current ones are too loose and stretchy. Supposedly they're fixing this with newer models coming out.
To be honest, this bra gives me great shape, and with a sufficiently low ...enough top, I have pretty good cleavage...cakes on a plate I think. I'll have to go back and add pics for that. I do find that it slips a little bit, but I'm not sure if it's projection and depth issue or slightly loose band. Or both. And the straps are usually pretty tight. Not fully adjustable. They tend to slip on occasion. Although I haven't added measurements yet, I did measure the width one day recently, and it's surprisingly narrow...like 4.8-5" wide!
My shape is shortish narrow roots with soft and malleable tissue that's also pendulous, and even to fob center full and somewhat close set breasts.
Now, I know that you're all probably saying, this is a 32D...isn't it a bit small for you? Aren't you wearing more 30E/F 32DD/E bras? Well, the answer is sort of. I have a tiny amount of spillage with the D and a little gapping with the DD. And for some reason, the wires and band seem to be better on the D. This is probably going to skew my reference size but I've got two 30F bras on the way (squee!) so that will help with my overall experience and all that.
I have to say that I really do love all of the So Free Lightly Lined Balconettes I've owned, but I so wish that they would extend this line to include 30 bands. My only hope right now is if they really have tightened up the bands and stretchiness and if the unlined version will be out again this summer, as the bands were better with that one.
This is actually one of the best fitting and most comfortable bras I own right now. I picked it up in a summer clearance sale last summer for about $10. I have mostly been in moulded and/or lightly lined bras for many years now. This is because I have been having difficulty finding soft cup bras that don’t look pointy on me and I prefer a more rounded basketball boob look. I find this one gives me a nice rounded shape, although it doesn’t offer the most support. I do also find that the band runs a bit tighter than the other So Free offerings at the ...store. I find that the So Free lightly lined balconette band is snugger than the full coverage version, and the balconette is on the loose end for me being that my snug measurements point me closer to a 30 band anyway, though I sometimes feel more comfortable with a 32. The band seems to be holding its stretch pretty well, as the others tend to stretch out easily. This bra has an internal section of mesh on the sides. I really enjoy how light it feels compared with the lightly lined balconette, the scalloped lacing (which has a little bit of clear elastic underneath which king of makes it like stretch lace without actually being stretch lace), and the split straps where they meet the cup. I’d wanted to get more at the time but some were fitting oddly, and availability on sizes was limited. It’s not currently offered but hope that maybe as the weather warms up, it will come out again. It’s probably not the best fit in comparison to other brands, but I do like it for a bra from a matrix based store. Hopefully, now that I’m learning more about my boobs, I’ll find more like it and better. Read more 206 more words
I bought this as a cheap, too-small cleavage bra. However, the usual suspects like Panache/Freya/EM/Comexim could stand to follow its construction techniques.
Firstly, there are two sets of loops for the multiway hooks, one of them is in the normal place, and one is right up next to the hooks and eyes. For me this entirely prevents straps falling, without the weird pressure points of a crossback bra. It also has a j-hook.
Secondly, PADDED WIRES! There is no excuse for a molded bra to not have padded wires, and these ones are deliciously soft. I hope someday that unlined bras can have padded wires too, although I'm not sure if it is possible.
I'm not sure how long it will last since it doesn't seem to be the sturdiest bra in the world, and it only comes in matrix sizes.
Its the best fitting mainstreams bra I ever known for my FoB, shallow, extra wide roots breasts. I have a slight distorsion of my ribcage near my sternum so it explains that the gore sits crooked and doesn't lay flat against my sternum. Because of the gaping I out 2 pads in the removable pads pockets and it makes a beautiful projected round cleavage. Depending on the time of the month and weight, slight quad boob effect, but still overall gorgeous. They have discontinued the model and the ones that I have are on the artificial respirator, if you know what I mean. I'm super sad about it and wish to find similar but hopefully better bras in quality.
Tried this one on over the weekend in the black here and the raspberry colour the next day at a different location. The fitters yesterday referred to this as a bralette but there were two similar cuts...this one and the triangle cup. That one was more bralette this one is. But, both are sold in S, M, L, XL, and 32/34 D/DD so I can see the bralette comparison or association.
Both fit about the same. The band is too big and the cups are too small, but I anticipated that going into the fitting room. I purposely chose to try it because it is lightweight and anticipating ...a stretchier band, thought it might be a good lounging bra. It’s quite stretchy as I got a whole hand in perpendicularly on the tightest hooks. The lace was nice though a little itchy by the cradle...it’s a bit long. Gore was nice and low and wires not too wide. Projection seemed ok.
I didn’t buy either of them because it was still a bit too small in the cups and I had a little bit of spillage near the gore that’s not fixable like the loose band. I still might get it to switch into after work, but I kinda feel like I’d rather have a wireless bra to lounge in. I’m torn. I might go get it. I mean, I am not actually looking for perfect support, so maybe. It’s currently 40% off which puts it at $18. Price makes up for the limited use and potentially altered band cost. But I don’t know if I actually need it. Read more 161 more words
It's a cute color. The underwire pokes in the cups right where my armpit is after a while, the band is too big for me as I measure 27.5 underneath and it is a 32. Upon altering the band tighter, the cups don't dig as much if any. The bra is made of nice soft fabric.
Stop, run, don't walk, away from 34 bands. This bra offers no support for me and is uncomfortable to boot, I believe because it shifts around so much so it rubs and is uncomfortable.
It's just the complete and utter wrong size, but it's what La Senza sizes me as. Now that I've tried a proper fitting bra I can see how HUGE the band is on me, and how horrible it looks. Bras like this are the reason I used to think I was flat and could never have a cleavage.
The first pair of La Senzas I've owned! The wires are a bit wide for me, and go further back than I think they should be going on my sides. The band is a bit too stretchy, and even though my underbust is 76cm, I'm on the last hook already. The strap is thickest at the shoulder line, and tapers as they go lower; they are very comfortable! The cup size seems right, although I haven't worn many fitting bras before and the top of the bra is lace only so I might be wrong on that.
In all a fairly comfortable bra that looks nice! But the wires dig into my chest cavity a bit. (I think I should be wearing a smaller band size/wire width bras though.)
Body Kiss is the everyday bra with a little something extra! Very comfortable and extra comfort around the underwire. Love the lace detail on the back with the racerback clasp. Front of the bra has an amazing smooth, curvy and seemless look.
The band is too large for me. It moves around and creates discomfort. The straps fall off my shoulders often. It's covered in lace and the band is made of mesh. It's lightly padded. Because it is covered in lace, the material irritates my skin. The colour is gorgeous. One downside is that the bra feels cheap and looks cheap the more you wash it. It is not meant to last a long time.
