    Fits

I think I wrote a review for this a while back when I first got the bra, but it got erased before I submit and I think out of frustration I gave up and didn’t re-write it lol.

This bra style comes in two different cuts: one that is a lower, average cut and one that is a full-coverage cut. This review is for the “regular” version, not the full-coverage. I also have 2 other reviews of this bra in this size that ARE the full-coverage version.

I was told that the Kris Line Betty bra was Kris Line’s replacement for the Brilliant bra that was part of ... their permanent line but has since been discontinued. Compared to Brilliant, I much prefer Betty in these larger sizes. While the Brilliant fit me strangely (weird silhouette, oddly shaped, no support), the Betty gives the opposite effect.

This cut of the Betty obviously doesn’t has as much coverage, as seen by my photos. The bottom of the cups along the band have embroidery/embellishments, which for me is a negative because it cuts in and gets super uncomfortable throughout the day. The cups themselves are nice and deep and gives a great rounded shape. I would say it gives a look similar to that of the Kris Line Fortuna bra, including the coverage.

The straps are nice a thick and give great support. Easy to adjust, slightly wide but manageable.

Anyway, this is another great bra by Kris Line, and I’m surprised that I’m just now reviewing it, but like I said, the first time I reviewed it it got scrapped on accident. 😅

    W-O-W!
I am so shocked at how obsessed I am with this bra!

This beauty is the Kris Line Betty Full Cup Soft. Honestly, over the past few months I’ve seen Betty and not tried her because I think the embroidery is somewhat ugly, but since it’s become part of Kris Line main line, I figured I’d have to try it eventually now that Brilliant and possibly Fortuna are discontinued. (Note: I’ve been told for certain that Brilliant is discontinued as their main line, but not that Fortuna has been; however, I’m finding it very difficult to find any more Fortunas in my size and they don’t seem to be ... getting restocked.)

The full cup version of Betty does have some key differences compared to the “regular” version, and they’re somewhat important, especially for curvy girls like myself:
-Obviously the cups are taller to give fuller coverage.
-Comes as a 4-part cup with 2 vertical seams.
-Has side support to bring the ladies front and center instead of having them linger in your armpits.
-The gore is higher for more containment on the inside of the cups.
-And, my favorite part…NO EMBROIDERY ON THE BAND.

This bra has some great compression and gives a lovely rounded shape. The wires are the perfect width for me, but with my experience with Kris Line that’s typically the case for me. Their wires always fit me pretty well. The cups are lined with mesh and are very comfortable. They have elastic along the top, but because the bra is slightly large, it doesn’t cause me to quad. (Note: I’ve read that Betty runs larger in the cups that most other Kris Line bras, which is probably why this is slightly loose on top for me.) The gore is a little wide, definitely wider than Ewa Michalak, but it actually works for me. It barely tacks flat for me, but I think it’s a combination of it being wide and taller. It isn’t an issue for me, though, because most (if not all) Kris Line bras don’t tack hard for me. The band is snug but very comfortable, and I love that there isn’t embroidery on the band at the gore/under the cups because I always have discomfort there on bras. The straps are wide, comfortable, and perfect in terms of adjustment. Overall, this is honestly the best bra I’ve ever worn!

I definitely recommend giving it a try if you know you Kris Line size because even though it’s not the most beautiful bra, it really is the bee’s knees.

I love the shape of those cups--they look very narrow and projected.

    • Very nice shape! Congrats on finding another one that fits!

I’ve already reviewed the Betty (75KK - Kris Line » Betty Soft (1404)).

Love this bra, super comfortable, love the coverage, love the neckline. Band is nice and snug. I’m not a huge fan of white, but with this bra I don’t mind so much. It’s very pretty! It fits me very well, the only minor fit complaint is (fortunately and unfortunately) that I’ve lost some weight, so this bra is a teeny bit big. I’m going to hold on to it though because I’ll still be able to wear it for a little while longer at least. Who knows, it could even slightly shrink after being washed.

    Didn't fit

The gore is too wideset so it gets pushed away from my sternum, which also makes the wires overlap each other.
The cups are too small, as is the band.

I get this gore thing quite often...pushed away, sitting on diagonal.
For me it is certainly not a gore width issue (I got 2 fingers between my girls), it's a cup depth issue. When I bend my KL wires into a deeper U shape, so that there's more space up front in the cup (and less side to side) it goes away and I get a nice tack.

    • Ohh. Could be. My biggest issue was this band was too tight. It was a weird fit for me.

    • Bummer :( did adjusting the cups work? How does it fare with an extender?

I really want to try KL again..but I'm iffy about non-stretch lace upper cups..my Brilliant (I think that was the name of the model) .. was an odd fit

    • *Sorry that should have been adjusting the cup wires (bending them as AprilGoulding mentioned)

    • Frazzleberry I never really bent them as I was borrowing the bra from MamaPagan and I didn't want to incur damage to it haha. I also can't speak for the extender part as I didn't have the bra for very long. It was uncomfortable too.

Maybe give Kris Line another try. Their newer models look improved, but again, I can't say from experience haha

    • Ooh completely understandable.

That's true, and they have more options.

    • 1

I have several and the fit is very slightly different on each, but I mean very slightly. The thing i notice most is that some of the wires are more J shaped upon arrival but I know I have to bend them anyway, so I just proceed to do so. They all fit once I do that. All of them!
I have mostly old styles...I am waiting for the spring release of the pink one. I love pink :) I will also try more semi padded when they come out in my 65G size. I have a corset in 70FF with semi padded cups and I LOVE the fit of those cups but i know with just a bra a 70 band is too big.
Brilliant is on the way. I read that the fit is different. I'll review it when it comes...

    • 1

      Pink is very pretty.

I'll be looking forward to that review ☺️ it would be interesting to compare notes

    • 2

Actually, the wires were already bent which was why your width was 5.4” vs my original 7.5” haha. The 7.5” was way too wide so I bent them to be able to wear it. But remember, if the band is too small for you, you are pulling those narrow wires wider than they should be which results in the same wire twist. No amount of bending would make the band longer to stop this. An extender would have possibly worked for you, but it more likely would have made the straps in the back too wide set and in turn would have become a shoulder and placement issue instead. Those dreaded domino effects……😖

Bending the wires will only work if the band has some flexibility (ie a bit too big) to allow the bent (narrowed) wires to not be wishboned by the band tension when on. When bending the wires narrower, it makes the band slightly smaller, so that needs to be factored in as well.

I’ve tried 8 KrisLine bras, 3 soft, 2 semi-soft, 2 molded, and a padded. (Thank you to MagdaBras4you when I started my current bra journey!) They all fit differently as they were different styles. I feel it is worth you trying some more in a few styles & sizes to get a better idea of your fit needs. If you know the wires are going to be too wide, consider sizing up in the band to counterbalance the need of bending the wires narrow.

    • 2

MamaPagan I love it when we can have multiple causes for the same problems. I have a little extra space in KL 65 bands...i could go to the second hook. And I did notice that agter bending the wires I didn't need to anymore, but was just so excited to get a tack that it never dawned on me that my wire surgery was also band surgery.

    • 1

AprilGoulding Indeed! That's what makes our brainstorming so wonderful. By working through all the details we can figure it all out together. We are always learning. 💕 It's a beautiful thing.

    • 1

Can I ask how you bent the wires? How do you prevent them from moving back?

    • 1

As long as the wires are firm enough (didn't work with Comexim wires which act like plastic) you can bend them fairly easily. Just cup the curve and gently manipulate them inward. It can make them almost point inward at the top but when on they don't point that way. This also works to bend them with the curve of the body, so a narrower body hugging U. I am doing a horrible job putting this process into words.....sorry.

    • 1

That helps, I'll have to see if I can bend them in my Perla. The wires feel softer than normal BM wires though.

    • My latest Comexims were like that. I swear they are plastic, bend them and they flexed right back. Not like the normal Comexim wires.

This is one of the few bras Kris Line makes in a 28 band and in a cup above a K. In fact, it’s the only one I’ve been able to find!

Betty is an unlined white lace bra. There are 3 parts to the cup, and the band has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
The band measures 24” and stretches to 30” making it functionally a 30 band instead of a true 28 band.
The cup depth measures from a 13” (as measured hovered between the knees with the tape measure placed into the cups without any resistance) to a max of 15” stretched over the ... knee, while the height is 10.5” and width is 7.5” which is quite wide for a Polish brand bra. The gore is 3.5” tall and .5” wide, and the wing is 5”.

While this bra is nice and beautiful, it was too big in the band for support and too wide in the cup for comfort for me. If this one came with smaller wires, I would love it! To compare, the volume of the cups would equate to Ewa’s BM 60K-KK depending on the style, or SF and SM 60KK, but with wider wires.

I purchased this one, as with all the KrisLine bras I’ve gotten in the past, from Magda at Bras4You.com. If you are not familiar with her site, it a wonderful place where you can find all things Polish and at great prices. Madga provides prompt shipping, excellent customer service, and if you are looking for something she doesn’t have listed, just ask and if she can get it for you she will! Plus, with every order of 2 or more bras, she sends a pair of random panties for free! I have been able to place custom orders with her for Gaia tanktops & panties, as well as a Kinga bra in a size Kinga didn’t have listed for that bra! She has always gone above and beyond for her customers, and I think that is awesome. ☺

    1/2019 update-
I pulled this one out of storage to test the current fit and it feels fine now. I did bend the wires to be narrower which helped with the fit so I'm happy with it! As this cup still fits now, I would equate the cups more to the 60KK/L BM/SF range. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

    Didn't fit

This review is for the Kris Line Betty Soft bra in 34G. My ABTF size is 32G/GG UK (or more) depending on projection.

    Band:
    * Seems true to size. Only has 2 hooks.

    Wires:
    * Comfortable.

    Cups:
    * 3 part cup. The bottom has an inner mesh lining and one vertical seam. The top is a continuation of the non-stretch lace layer that's over the whole cup. There's a tiny band of elastic at the top edge of the neckline to assist with fit.

    Straps:
    * The straps are stretchy throughout their length. There's a lace overlay on the front portion of the straps.

    Fabric:
    * A little itchy, may soften with a few washes.

About me: ... very close set (breasts touch), very narrow roots, very projected at the wire, functionally even to full on bottom, short roots, relatively soft tissue, significant rib flares, narrow shoulders.

    FIT

    * The band length was fine for me, but I did like it on the loosest hook of this 34 so it might run a bit small. I like that it's a bandless style - there's no extra fabric under the cups in front which can aggravate my rib flares.
    * The gore floats a little on me. It was nice and short. It was narrow enough for me at .75 inches, but I still might prefer to overlay the wires.
    * The cups seem like they'd fit someone a little more full on top than I am. I also think they're for someone with more volume at the apex, whereas I need it more at the wire. The wires are not narrow enough for me and it does not have enough immediate projection for me.
    * The straps are long enough.
    * The sides are a comfortable height for me.

    OVERALL IMPRESSION
    * I like the look of this bra for someone who likes lace. It's not a good match for me.

The sizing was a bit of a guess, and it's overall too large for me (I'd need a UK 36GG with low wings, medium wire width and some inner fullness). It's probably too large by 1-2 cup sizes, so fits like a 36H/HH or 38GG/H.
On me the gore is relatively tall, the wings are average height and the cups are average width - but again, all these are just relative terms, you'd need to compare this with another bra in the right size to get an accurate picture. The fabric is not stretchy, and the build quality is good (no loose threads). The fabric on the cups is pretty average in terms of softness. The cups are closed off with an elastic band, which isn't too tight - but might be an issue for someone with a lot of upper fullness. The cups allow for quite a lot of immediate projection, as well as inner fullness. Overall could be a very nice bra in the right size.

Too small in the cup, so I can only say that the cups run very small, quality seems decent, design basic but not ugly.
