This bra is very comfortable and provides excellent support. It is the only bra I have found which gives an excellent shape without any padding. The satin overlay I think makes it look unique and also provides an extra layer of support. It feels luxurious and very feminine.
I am a fitting model, and so have had the opportunity to try this bra before it is released.
The Sophia bra is a beautiful piece of lingerie. When I first tried it on, I was astonished at how well it fitted me – it felt like it was made to measure. It’s light and comfortable (with no bits that dig in or rub!), and the construction of the cups gives a flattering forward-projected / lifted shape; the overlaid silk quarter-cup at each side is effective in adding support/lift. Despite not being padded, it creates a lovely silhouette.
You can see from the pictures that it’s a lovely bra, but when you actually hold the product in your hands, the quality of materials and craftsmanship is evident. Fine silk and exquisite lace give this piece a luxurious feel, but even other details (such as the mesh sides) are noticeably of very good quality.
This is a really pretty bra, specially designed for people with smaller backs and larger breasts. The wires and material are really comfortable and the shape is great, especially as it is not padded. This company have really done their research and created a fab everyday, pretty bra that is comfortable and gives me confidence.
I've been lucky enough to test fit the new Sophia in red for 2018 which is now available to pre-order for December (Christmas!)
They've changed the design of Sophia for the launch of the red colour with a new 'almond' colour invisible tulle cup liner which makes the cup look like it isn't lined at all. I think it makes the bra look much daintier...it's like they've managed to hide any structural bits of material so it looks much more delicate and the lace is now consistent throughout the cup. The whole cup is now lined as well (instead of just the bottom bit) making the shape very ...rounded.
They've loosened the silk sling because apparently some people found that it cut in. I never had that problem so can't really comment on it but it fits really nicely and doesn't cut in at all. Good news for anyone who didn't get on with the sling before though.
I can't fault the fit and shape and my breasts are really lifted (without a bra they're pretty droopy!). The wires work really well for me and my breasts just don't move in this bra. I can move about, jump around etc and everything stays secure https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Very happy. Read more 103 more words
Ahhhhh this is the most gorgeous thing. IF ONLY THE CUPS WEREN'T VERY SLIGHTLY TOO SMALL. I'm going to open a bra fitting just to beg you folks to tell me it's okay, honestly. That's how much I love this bra and how reluctant I am to wait until the store opens for real in May.
The wires are narrow (5" across in this 30G), there is projection, the band is comfortable... everything looks and feels quite luxe, in my opinion. The matching panties are gorgeous.
And most of all, after a day of wearing a similarly-sized Fantasie Rebecca Spacer Moulded Bra (2024) (which is too wide and ...too shallow for me), and being uncomfortable much of the day... just putting this bra on was such a relief that I didn't really want to take it off to measure it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Also, I must compliment the staff, who initially responded to an email asking about their other line, Bosom Galore, and then directed me to this sister brand when I withered upon hearing that the BG bra I wanted most is somewhat shallow. We spent about a month with me occasionally sending them questions and them replying quickly, and then they helped me order this gorgeous little sample they had before their website was officially open for orders.
I will probably be ordering both the styles and colors they currently have. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> And then still wanting more. Read more 141 more words
So this is where the side support sling issue became truly comical. There's now more than enough room in the lacy portion of the cup even with the pressure shoving my center fullness upward, and the cup wrinkles on top -- and my tissue spills forward out of it, haha.
Otherwise, we've got nicely-narrow cups and a decent amount of projection; KHI is definitely trying to compete with the "Polish" shape, and their materials feel luxe.
I've reviewed this bra grand total of four times now! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Katy at KHI has offered to create a custom version of the Sophia for me without the sling; she says that they have other styles in the works that wouldn't have it, but how about this in the meantime? Incredibly touching. I can hardly wait!
The bigger I go in the cup on this bra, the more clear it becomes that my main problem is the side support sling, which is pushing my center-full breasts closer together and causing them to bubble up in the middle. Looks fine from the front, but from the sides there's visible funny wrinkling in the side support sling, and it cuts into my tissue.
I previously tried this bra in a 30G sample size, and thought I needed to go up a cup size. I also wanted to try a bigger band size for comfort. The verdict?
First, the 30 was fine; the 32 fastens comfortably on the tightest hook. Second, the cup upgrade... while it should be fine by the measurements, doesn't seem to be quite enough for my tissue. This might also be a shape problem. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> But it sort of looks like going up a size (and no longer squeezing my tissue into a round ball) made the need for a bigger size even ...more apparent -- I have photos now showcasing quadding, and also the side sling is cutting in in a funny way that I think would be resolved in a larger cup size.
I still love everything about this bra's appearance and materials, as well as the company's business model (made entirely in the UK). The lace is so gorgeous, and the sling is silk, and it feels like a much more luxurious bra than others I've tried in higher price points. (The Sophia is currently ~90GBP.)
A word of caution for BTB users who need longer straps: the straps on this bra are only about half adjustable. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I wear most of my bras with the straps almost completely loose, and this feels a little tight on my shoulders in that condition, so take that for what it's worth.
