  1. Glossies High Apex Light Padded Bra (6270)

I know it’s not a perfect fit, but I love it. It’s light and the two separate layers help control the fit a bit, in my opinion. I plan to alter the band and the slight wrinkles in the tip of cup are unnoticeable to me when wearing. This is the first model of bra for me where the gore tacks. It tacked on both the 36g and the 36ff. It reminds me of the lightweight Aerie bras, which I love but don’t come in my correct size.

I bought this one at a bra-fitting shop and I honestly don't know how they let me go with it.

Cups are molded, color is a bit orange-ish, nice little bow with a golden G letter between cups. It is soft on the inside and silky outside, great for seethrough blouses.

Normally I prefer full-cup or balconette but this time I needed a t-shirt bra. I still wear it, it doesn't look so awful under clothing, plus it gives kind of a sexy look because of an edge barely visible through clothes. The only apparent issue is a slight bulge over a cup edge on the right boob appearing after ... an hour of wearing, my boobs are a bit asymmetrical. I am 80H in European sizes and most conversion charts tell that 80H equals to 36FF but I feel that it is incorrect, it should be 36GG. This bra proves it.

Overall, cups are too close for me and a bit empty at the top, and the band doesn't adhere completely. Still, straps are in place, underwires do not poke. Next time I'd go one cup size up with this bra.

So pretty, but I can't tell anything about it because the cups are huge and the band is super stretchy. Hopefully my measurements are helpful.

  4. Retrolution Half Padded Bra (8511)

I've recently had a large bra haul of older season styles I've always wanted to try. Retrolution was one of them!
Positively reviewed by missunderpinnings, 2cakesonaplate and lecurvykitten, I've had my eye on this bra for almost two years. Too expensive though (it was a VIP item) but now I found it for £13, I couldn't resist 😁

Got it in two sizes + two colors, trying to combine the reviews:

While I'm not necessarily into cone boobs / pointy bras, I do like the design and 'retroness' of this (aptly named) Gossard model. Wasn't sure if I could rock this style but very curious to try it out! ... I actually prefer the black color but as I don't have any nude-ish bras and not all sizes were available, I decided to try both black and blush.

I had heard this bra ran small both in the cups and the band?
My average size is 30GG and normally I'd try 32G in Gossard. Here I sister sized to 34G (blush) and 36FF (black - no 34G available). Both bands are way too large though - definitely need to shorten them. Im not very surprised but a 32 (or even 30) band would have been much better.

In the blush (34G) there's some wrinkling on my smaller breast. Perhaps a 32G would have been fine after all, although I do think there would be cutting in on my left breast (this bra is kind of closed on top).

Cup-wise, the 36FF seems to fit a bit better than the 34G? Less wrinkling and the strap placement is less wide. The straps themselves are very stretchy and I need to adjust them pretty short. Strap width is so comfy and even if it looks a bit industrial, it fits the aesthetics of the bra imo. However, the area where the bra cups meet the straps is quite tall and wide. Chafes my armpits and will peek out from under clothes.

About the shape, well it is definitely POINTY: especially from the side.. No surprise, but I'm not sure I can get used to this look? Very different from other bras I own (so yeah it does add to my bra repertoire 😇). But I'm not sure how often I would wear them as the shape it gives is slightly out of my comfort zone.

However, under the right clothes this bra is actually pretty awesome! I've added a couple pictures under different outfits. Keep in mind it does need a tight / structured dress or sturdy fabric to hide the pointiness.

Guessing I'll keep the black (alter the band) and return the blush. Unless someone on here wants it?

Generally the plunge style bra does not work on me because I always seem to spill out the middle for that all too unattractive double boob look but this one seems to fit good for most the day. Ok, so still requires some tucking back in but only after a few hours of wear.
