This bra is really, really soft. I don't know how to put into words exactly how soft this is. Lets see, the straps are a bit far apart. It's not that big of deal and doesn't cut into my armpits or anything. The gore noticeably doesn't tack, I know that's common with wireless bras, but this one seems more obvious. I really, really wish more mainstream brands would carry size 30 bands. I'm starting this one in on the second hook, luckily it offers four hooks, but come on, get with the times! It is a nice and comfortable bra for sure, but is also a bit bland ...looking. I can see avoiding itching ribbons and lace, but how about a cute polka dot or floral print? Just because I'm wearing a wireless bra doesn't mean I don't care about my appearance. Other than that it is a solid bra that I would buy again if i came across it during a sale or if one of my standard beige bras wore out. I wear this bra on the tightest setting, and the 32d fits as well as the construction will allow. This bra is very soft and comfortable... But as with all non-wired bras (and even plunge wired bras) my breast tissue migrates to the middle and starts falling out, even if I scoop and swoop. I find myself having to do that every 30 minutes or so if I want them to stay put. Maybe I need double sided tape.
I mostly wear this bra on days I'm not doing anything more than sitting around the house. The hunt for a wirefree bra continues.
Before I knew my properly measured bra size (a shallow 28D), this was my favorite bra - both in how it fit and how comfortable it was. Now I'm aware of how it doesn't fit perfectly, but it still has some redeeming qualities. And if it actually comes in your size, I'd definitely recommend it!
Something great about this bra, is that it seems to do quite well for shallow breasts. When I scoop and swoop, I get some nice cleavage. Granted, since this bra doesn't have underwire, some of the breast tissue migrates towards my sides throughout the day and the cleavage disappears - ...but I don't have trouble filling the cups even though I'm pretty shallow. The top of the cups lays nicely against my chest, and doesn't gap on my smaller breast. My large breast quadboops a bit when I scoop and swoop - again, because the sister size I ought to be wearing is a 32B, I guess.
Since I'm a 28D and this is a 32A, the band is definitely looser than it should be. I wear the band on the tightest setting, and even then, when I raise my arms in the air, the band slides up a bit onto my breast tissue. I've owned two of these bras for about a year, and have seem them stretch out over time. Probably right after I bought them this would have been less of a problem - but after a year of owning them, they've definitely stretched out.
Any in general, this bra is really comfortable for me! Given the lack of underwire. If it comes in your size, I'd definitely recommend trying it out. Read more 180 more words
Mine is very old, and the straps have started to come apart. As a result, not very comfortable. But it's a beautiful plunge bra, very comfortable with a thin line of lace around the bottom. I wore it to death and am having trouble letting it go.
I love the way this bra looks, I just wish it were more comfortable. While it technically fits, it's really tight in the front and leaves deep grooves where the wire sits. After a few hours, the itching becomes unbearable. Otherwise, it's great.
Bought a few of these on sale and had them taken in 2in (since 30" bands are so difficult to find.) Cups fit well initially but are a tad small after taking in; underwire is the perfect size and shape for me; band is still a little loose on the tightest hook, even after alteration.
This bra is definitely too small for me. I did also try a 32D, but had additional fit issues in that size as well. This bra would not be ideal for someone who is very shallow.
This bra isn't too bad fit-wise, but several minor issues together make it a no-go. First off the bra just isn't quite shallow enough for me, but the quad-boobing is extremely minor and absolutely unnoticeable under shirts. The wires are wider on this bra, which gives me a slightly wider and less projected silhouette. Lastly, while the wires seem long enough, something happens in the cut of the bra from the underarm to where it meets the strap -- which creates a large bulge in my armpit that cannot be scoop and swooped or otherwise encouraged to move.
Despite some fit issues, this bra works well enough as a basic for me. The fabric is smooth and comfortable and the nude color is a good match for my skin tone. Even though it's too small for me, this bra provides a nice rounded shape, and looks great under tees. Plus it's convertible! I'm so happy to finally find a bra that will allow me to wear white shirts again.
This is Gap's Garden Lace variety of the Favorite Uplift bra. I was initially hesitant about this one -- the color, "peach energy" is essentially neon salmon with hot pink straps. (Not my colors.) But the longer I sit around with this bra on, the more I like it. The padding is very thin (relatively speaking) as it's about a 1/2" at its thickest point. Plus the padded area is only the bottom quarter of the cup, and it tapers smoothly into the rest of the cup. Having only recently found out my true bra size, I've lived in poorly fitting push-ups ...for about a decade. And I had become accustomed to the shape those bras gave me under clothes. This bra gives me that shape I'm so accustomed to, but in a much better fit! This bra has some interesting details, which I will include photos of. There's a tiny v cut into the top of the gore, which creates a rather pleasing line along the edge of the cups. The front of the straps are doubled, and are looped around a ring in the back where it meets the adjustable portion of the strap. This bra works well under t-shirts. There is a vertical seam in the lace at the front of the cup, but it is not visible under 90% of my t-shirts. It may also soften up/ become less visible after washing, so we'll see. This is a great basic daily bra - no frills but provides a nice rounded shape. The fabric is very smooth and totally invisible under tanks and t-shirts. The color I ordered (New Vine) was quite a bit darker than I anticipated - almost black instead of aubergine.
Technically this bra fits me perfectly - the band stays in place and the cups encapsulate my breasts entirely. However I decided to size down in the cup to a 32C. The tops of the cups roll slightly outward, which creates visible lines under t-shirts. I don't have this problem in the 32C (I think because the little bit of quadboob it gives me creates a smoother silhouette). This would be a great bra for daily wear.
I really like the shape of this bra, but it seems to be a cup size too big for me. The biggest fit issue I have is some gaping at the top of the cups. I like the lace on this bra, though it's very thin and the band does not seem to have a lot of substance.
I do get the slightest bit of quad-boob in this bra, but I decided to keep this size over the 32D. The cups roll outwards just enough at the top of the cup to make it visible under shirts, but in this size the quad-boob hides that issue. I love the deep aqua color, and the lace has a lovely pattern. I think it will be a nice everyday bra.
This bra is super comfortable and looks really good, it would be much better if the band size wasn't too big. It slides up on me even on the tightest setting.
This bra is a good basic for me. Though the band is too large, it otherwise fits well and doesn't show under t-shirts. The polka dot pattern of the fabric is nice, and while the lace edging isn't of the greatest quality it adds a little touch of delicacy. The fabric is soft and very stretchy. So far it's held up well against a lot of abuse. It's been through the washer (but never the dryer) and the molded cups have neither distorted nor the edges rolled outward.
This bra suits me well enough despite the band being too large. It's a plain workhorse sort of bra, very practical, and doesn't show under tees or tanks. I wish Gap would manufacture size 30 bands as their bras always fit me nicely despite being the wrong size! . . . maybe someday!
This bra is super cute, easily attainable, and in the single-digit price range when on sale. It even gives me a little cleavage, which I used to think was impossible! The band is definitely too stretchy for me on the loosest hooks, though, and the sides of the cups are just a tad shorter than I'd like. I'm not actively spilling out the sides, but it feels like a possibility if the bra gets any looser. I'm considering putting a straight stitch through part of the band to firm it up.
