    Didn't fit

I'm glad I accidentally got sent this bra because it gave me the opportunity to find out which bra in the entire history of undergarments is the worst possible bra for me. I now avoid unlined seamed bras such as this one like the plague. The "fit" was basically what you might expect of a bowl of jelly upturned into a butterfly net. Obviously seams=support doesn't apply to unlined bras when they run into my soft boobs. I have never felt so horribly jiggly, floppy and unsupported in a bra. Not to mention how itchy and wrinkly the cups were. The material is like torture.

    0/10 would not bra again.

That said, if you can wear unlined plunges, it seems as good quality as my other Freya bras.

My boobs are essentially liquid by now and still can be very well supported by unlined seamed bras. They just have to, you know, fit! It sounds like this was way too large for you or possibly that you were falling out the middle, leaving the cups not really filled--lack of surface tension in cups = jiggly wiggly saggy baggy.

    • 1

I am sorry you had such a horrid experience, but I'm absolutely delighted with your review! Very funny. Thank you.

    • 1

Ugh thanks for confirming to stay away from the Patsy's. I had the same experience with the Freya Ingrid Plunge, ack.

    • 1

That was funny! Thanks for the review.

    • wendybien I get your point about fit. I ordered a 30G in the Patsy padded half cup and got this by mistake. I assume that I would need a smaller cup in the Freya unlined bras. I found a Freya Starlet lace at Nordstrom today and tried it in a smaller cup size, but it still didn't work for me. I don't fall out of the center like I do in a padded plunge, but it was still not a good look for me! Weirdly pointy and scratchy.

    • 1

      Kristine Lol thanks!

    • underwonder Yeah, these styles of bras obviously want more projection and a different shape from mine. I highly recommended the padded Patsy half cup, though.

    • I'm super projected and the Ingrid gives me that pointy, scratchy shape that you got with the Starlet. Something about the Freya style. I'll try the half cup style tho, thanks!

This review just got downvoted, but whatever, I stand by it. I've tried this and under seamed unlined Freyas in all sizes I could find and they are all a disaster on me. I now realize that I probably have some sensory issues that make me more sensitive to unlined bras than others. Downvotes, really? :P

    • 1

I did not downvote this, for the record :-P But I can see how someone might, because the review suggests that unlined seamed cups are unable to support soft breasts, which is completely untrue. It is obviously true that unlined Freyas don't work for you at all, so that's legit, but I think someone probably objected to what they perceived as general misinformation.

    • wendybien Maybe and I believe you addressed that in the comments with me at the time, which I appreciated very much. I have since had much, much more experience with unlined bras, a ton of other Freyas, and I've never found one that works with MY breasts and that's all I can really review about. So for my historical record this remains accurate... I don't mind a downvote here or there, but I think someone is going through a lot of my stuff and downvoting it for fun.

    • You can't take it too personally. One time I made a very mild criticism of a particular blog and over the next couple days I got a number of downvotes on that comment exactly matching the number of bloggers who contribute to it, which I thought was hilarious :-D They also went round looking for other comments of mine to downvote. I just ignore it, obviously if someone is far gone enough do do that, they are the ones who have a bee in their bonnet. It's not like you get booted off the island based on how many up or down votes you get!

    • The internet is so weird. :)

This came from Breakout Bras, from an endless series of returning and having another bra sent and returning and having another bra sent. I was on the fence about keeping it because I can poof over the top a bit, but I did keep it and discovered that the poofing didn't always happen, so I figure it's hormonal.

The bra is exceedingly comfortable, and cute. Because it is lime green with white polka dots, it is visible under some shirts...

The bra does give a fair amount of forward projection. When I first got into this whole figuring out the better size for myself, I didn't like this, but I like it better now. It does mean that some shirts are harder to wear though. I think that years of wearing the wrong size minimizer migrated tissue towards the sides and bras like this are helping put it back where it belongs.

First, I'd like to start with this caveat, the cups are too big on me. This is confusing as I quad like mad in Freya's 28F Deco Honey and 28FF Tartan longline, and my 28G Deco Spotlight has a bit of empty space below the strap, but otherwise fits. My breasts have inner fullness but are not close set, with narrow and possibly shortish roots, and some projection.

This bra is very cute. I love the turquoise color, everything seems well made, the band fits TTS, the wires are wider than I need them, but not uncomfortably so. The straps are a little wide ... and cut in my armpit a bit, but thats true of virtually any bra in my cup size. The cups are not as tall as many bras in my size range, which is a plus for me.

Speaking of cup size, yes, definitely too big. The cups are wrinkled in the top but otherwise okay. If this bra were returnable, I would probably send it back for a 28F. Since I bought it from another bra database user and this color is discontinued, I plan to alter it instead.

Finally, many reviews say this bra gives a pointy shape, and it may. I can't say for sure since I didn't fill the cups.

    • I find Freya's unlined bras to run big too, FWIW. I tried the enchanted plunge in a 28FF and still had some wrinkling, when I'm solidly a 28G in the Decos and padded half cups.

I only tried on this bra in a local shop, but I did not buy it as it did not fit me AT ALL.

    General comments:

I have only just hopped on the correct-size-bra-band-wagon and still very much in the process of figuring out what works for me. This is not made any easier by the fact that I am breastfeeding (10 months and counting) and still am not used to fact that I have BREASTS, as opposed to my pre-pregnancy 'breasts'. Also, because of breastfeeding, my size, shape and density isn't exactly constant. Anyway, I've so far found only two bra models in a size 60 band (both Freya) ... in local stores and this review is for one of them. I tried this bra on in 65E and 60F, neither of which fit even close.

    Bra description:

A pretty bra made out of black mesh with pink polka dots and pink. It's quite cute, though it looked better on the hanger than on me, the fitting issues aside.

    Fit:

The band felt very snug, but it was the first time ever I tried on a bra that didn't close completely at the tightest hook, a revelation! Also, the centre gore laid nice and flat, something I haven't seen too often before. I guess that after a lifetime of wearing over-large size 70 bands it just takes some getting used to wearing a band that is appropriately tight.

The cups were a decidedly less successful story, though. Honestly, I've never tried on a bra that was so incompatible with my shape as this Freya one. In this 60F the underwires did not encircle my breasts convincingly. I would have preferred them wider, but this bra wasn't available in a larger size. Also, the shape of the cups was ... odd, to say the least. My larger right breast ALMOST filled out the cup, but there was still a strange deep fold at the top of the cup. This was even worse on the other side. The strange thing was that despite what seemed excess space at the top of the cups, the front edge of the cups STILL cut into my breasts on BOTH sides. Loosening the straps didn't remedy this and only resulted in an even sadder look. The cups didn't feel supportive and the shape they gave me was just ugly. The fabric didn't feel that comfortable against my skin either.

    Conclusion:

This bra simply isn't meant for me. The wires are too narrow and the cups too deep. What's going on with the front edge of the cups I don't know, but it clearly doesn't work for my wide-set, wide-based, and relatively less voluminous breasts.

Patsy is a bra I've ignored for a long time because I didn't much care for its appearance, however I recently saw someone's pictures where it looked very projected so I thought I'd try. And it is very projected--definitely the most projected Freya bra I've tried, and it measures one of the deepest cups (compared to wire length) I've seen in my size range. This bra would be great for me if it weren't for an uncommon fit issue--an apex mismatch. The bottom section is a little too tall, creating a higher apex than my breast has, which causes a very large and pronounced diagonal wrinkle at the seam even though the top closes properly on me. I would recommend this bra for someone projected, FOB who does not have very short roots like me.

I really like the way this bra fits. It has great structure and support (most likely because the band size finally fits!) and the straps give good support and slips off less due to it's wider width/more friction. I find it to be rather comfortable too.

It has a pretty colour and pattern. However, it gives a more conical kind of shape to the boobs than I would prefer.

Nonetheless, I think it's a good bra that helps to keep the boobs in place. Just wish it had a rounder shape to it.

This bra is very comfortable, but I am aware I'm wearing a bra. There is a ton of support (I ran across the street today wearing it and didn't give myself a black eye https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> ). It's great with lower cut or wider cut tops/dresses. It's my go to for fancy events, because even if the straps show, they're still cute!! I also love the pin-up girl look of it. Went to go buy another in a different color, but they only had the black left which is what I ordered.

I love the flirty green and bought matching panties for a complete look. I had ordered a D cup but got a DD. I kept it anyways. I am doubtful if a D cup would have fit properly as the shape of the cup is odd - with the fullness closer to the mid-line than average with a pointy shape. I rounded the shape with old padded bra cups with a nice effect.

Has lasted a long time in my current rotation though shortened the band to make it last longer as it did stretch out. Matching undies are still good to go.

This bra continues to last and looks good even though I am itching to try out other bras. The green and polka dots are to fun to toss it away in a fit of fancy

    The Band finally wore out!

Fairly bright, cute colour. Straps were surprisingly long: had to hike them halfway up my back. The cups fit flat across the top and have a cute shape, but still a little room at the bottom and sides. The band was so big I'm already on the tightest hook. When it stretches I'll have to take it in. I could probably do that now, even.
ETA: trying it on again there way more extra fabric than I remember.
