This bra is really pretty! Even though the bra runs big, the longline shape helps to prevent too much movement of the band. This is only a 'once in a while' bra for me because there isn't very much support provided by the band, cups, or straps as they are all very stretchy. The cups were a bit wide and shallow for me. I would prefer a narrower, deeper cup with straps set closer together.

I so wanted to love this bra, but I think I should have gone down a band size. Even on the tightest hook the band is too big, especially since it's a longline bra and the bottom of the band sits lower on my ribcage which is smaller than the top. While my larger breast *almost* completely fills the cup, there is the slightest bit of puckering, but I think a smaller cup size would be too small. On my smaller breast there is wrinkling of the cup closest to my armpit. Unlike other Freya wired bras though, this one is incredibly comfortable. It does not give me the best shape under snug tops.

Pros: The longline band distributes pressure very well, and the cups feel supported by the band. Provides a sense of security and doesn't cut into the body. The straps are substantial (about 3/5" wide) and can be adjusted their entire length. The half-cup design provides some pretty impressive lift to each cup separately. Takes weight of the cups effectively enough to feel a positive difference in posture. The lining is substantial but thinner than moulded-cup padding.

In short, it is a comfortable bra, and also an astounding date-night bra.

Cons: Center wires come in too high to be worn with plunge-style clothing. Band has comfortable stretch, but it could be sturdier. Vertical seams may show up under thinner shirts. Will spoil you to longline band styles forever.

I really like how this bra looks, which is why I bought it on sale despite it not fitting. It suffers from the usual Freya problem of malleable wires; my breasts can push the center gore away from my chest, although there is no overspill when I push the gore flat against my chest. On my smaller side, there's even room for a pad. Freya bras just do not work for me at all.

I've been searching for a longline bra for a while, but being a 28GG/H, my options are slim to none. I bought the Freya Ivy longline in 30G intending to wear it on the smallest hook, and then alter it as it stretched out. Unfortunately, like many Freya bras, the band on the Ivy runs QUITE loose, so even being a longline, it felt too loose right out of the box, so I will have to alter it right away. Dissapointing, but not terribly surprising.

The cups are a wonderful shape. I was concerned that the cups would be too wide, but they fit beautifully, ... and are comfortable all over. The pattern is a breath of fresh air, after all of the pink and purple and florals and lace of the lingerie world. After a few adjustments to the band, I suspect this will quickly become one of my favourite bras.

The quality of the bra is decent - well above what you would find at a department store or Victoria's Secret, but after a few Panache and Ewa Michalak bras, it's a tiny bit of a letdown. The longline band is not reinforced in any way, and feels a little bit flimsy, and the tensioning on the stitching is slightly off, so the seams ripple.

I purchased this at the same time as the 30E Carys longline bra, yet this one fits bigger in both the cups and band (confirmed by measurements). Though slight, the differences are just enough to make it too big for me, so I'm returning it. I simply don't fill out the cups.

See my reviews for the Carys longline and the Just Flew In longline for more info about this cut - pretty good for shallow shapes.

Such a pretty bra, but I think it'd be better for a FOB pair of breasts- I fit the bottom nicely, but theres so much gaping at the top!

I am terribly disappointed that this bra didn't work out for me, as I wanted it so badly. However, it seems to run almost a full cup size too big, and is cut much shallower at the bottom, but bigger and more open at the top than the Just Flew In longline. I ordered the Just Flew In in the same size and it fit completely different.

Since the cups are so wide at the top the straps are also very wide-set, which didn't work for me. Also the band is VERY stretchy. The band on the 36 measures a full 39-39.5 when stretched. It really is a darling bra though, so I would recommend sizing down in the cup, and possibly also the band.

When the sales associate at my local bra shop brought this to me, I was not impressed. It looked like entirely too much fabric to be flattering. But I tried it on anyway, and I'm so glad that I did! It's beautiful!

That said, this bra isn't a perfect fit on me. My measurements put me around 28G or 30FF, so I'm getting some quad boob in this, and I could easily go to the last hook on this bra, new. However, even at the first hook, it's not uncomfortable. I think the Longline keeps the band sturdy around my back, even with the size difference. Also, thanks to the cut of the bra, the quad-boob isn't *that* bad. The top of the cups does not dig in, like in some bras I have, so even though my boobs pop out, it isn't unwearably noticeable.

I ended up buying the bra, since it was an improvement over what I was already wearing, but I think I'm going to look for a 30FF in the same line.

I *love* the look of this bra. Favorite longline bra so far. It's so beautiful, the colors are so vibrant. The green is gorgeous and the burnt orange gives it a nice touch.

The one problem I have is... Freya longlines (or padded half cups for that matter) are NOT made for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" /> Oh the horror. I need more depth and narrower wires. The cup of this bra is more shallow and the wires are too wide for me. With the result that I am slightly quad boobing in the middle and there's empty space on the sides of the cups, ... near the straps. The center gore is too wide for me as well, it's not sitting flat. But then again, that could be just a result of the cups being too shallow and my boobs, which need more projection, pushing the gore outward. I've tried many sizes in these long lines, and no matter how big the cup, the center gore never sits flat.

To make matters worse, I bought this bra a cup too small. I think I'll try and see if anyone wants to exchange so I can wear a 30FF, because as it is now, I can basically only wear this bra on my smallest time during the month: the week of my period and immediately after that.

Even with all these problems, the bra gives amazing support, and it is comfortable to wear. I never feel uncomfortable during the entire day. I will keep buying the Freya longlines, because I love the look of them and they still give great support.

    • I notice you say the cups are too shallow and wide for you... How do you compare the depth and width to the Cleo Lucy?
I'm asking because I ADORE these bras, but I am limited to ordering online. I need shallow and wide cups, and I happen to have a Cleo Lucy (altho in a 30G), so I believe it'd be getting same ratio, but I'm just assuming.

    • Hi! I think the main problem for me is that the Ivy is just not deep enough. The Lucy 30FF is definitely deeper than the Ivy, and the 30G will be even more so. I just measured the width of both cups, and the 30FF Lucy is 13.5cm while the Ivy 30F is 13cm (I am not including the thickness of the wires in the measurement, since logically your breast tissue is supposed to be encased in the wires, I think that's why some of the measurements on bratabase are off?).

In my case, wires are almost always too wide. They always go, even if it's a bit, beyond my breast tissue. That's partly because my breasts are not that wide and partly because I am quite petite (5'2") so naturally most wires will be too wide. That on itself doesn't bother me much, but if the width is off... then my breasts will be squished and will try to escape in the middle.

I'm not sure if 30G Lucy fits you? I think the only way to tell if a bra fits you is to try. I am also limited to ordering online and I have spent tons of time and money on trying and returning bras. It's tiring... but you end up really learning which styles and brands fit you best. But if your breasts are more shallow and you need wide wires, I'd say go for it!

Look at these reviews of the same bra. Both have the same size. But it suits one better than the other, just because the shape of their breasts are different!

      http://fussybusty.com/2013/03/14/longlines-and-a-review-of-the-just-flew-in-28ff/

      http://windiegardie.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/freya-just-flew-in-longline-bra-reviewed/

I get the impression that the second reviewer has more wide rooted shallower breasts than the first. And the first needs more depth.
