Initially I bought the 32F, which at first I loved and thought was very comfortable. But the longer I wore it the more I wanted to rip it off; like it was both squishing me flat and the wires were pushing in too hard.
* Just as a reminder, the cups are full coverage & definitely firm. Support comes collectively from all parts of the bra: the firm band (has silicone on the top of the back band), the firm wires, the tall gore, the cups and the restricted stretch straps (if used). It DOES NOT slide down when used as a strapless! The shape is projected & forward ...round with a very slight pointedness (but not a lot center-fullness). Since the gore is tall, it will interfere with a close-set or center-full shape. But like I said, the gore provides support too. * Personally, on me the gore "tries" to sit on my sternum, but doesn't quite make it. Hence, it flattens me out in the center and causes just a little quadding (but not enough to notice when wearing). * One complaint about the bra is the location of the front straps. There are two positions to choose from, in both front and back. The back ones are fine, but the front ones, even the ones closer to center are still hitting my armpits. So I added a third position, as you can see in the pictures. I couldn't find grosgrain ribbon to match the original, so I used bias tape instead. I "stitched in the ditch" to conceal the stitching, just as the original. The new loops do not show from the front and now it's much more comfortable when I want to use the straps. * A second complaint is the length of the panel for the hooks & eyes. When worn on the loosest set of hooks, there is barely enough fabric to cover the hooks. So they will rub into you if you're not careful about making sure that flap of material is laying completely flat. Read more 230 more words

First impression: oh, that's lovely trim.. omg this is HUGE. And rounded, yet a little wedg-ey or conical. Wow, these are kind of really tough underwires and industrial strength thickness foam? More intense resistance than Panache's. Mind, I'm sitting here during a weeklong swelling spree where only 32G/G fits and... like... oh no, this still *looks* like a hell of a lot of bra. ... When I flip it over and inspect the inside of the cups, it's depth seems to be closer to 3 sizes smaller than the wires and height would suggest. Looking back to the outside at the delicate netting and pretty trim which exaggerates the bit of curve it has, yeah this looks huge and flatter than I was hoping for. Can't tell how much room is eaten up with the heavy duty layers. But at least 1 cup size vanishes into the void between these big ole underwires, and the bottom of cup, then a few more in the zone where a breast can be seated at. So huh. A boob hat. One that anchors all extremities very firmly into place, until you get somewhere safe and can have it surgically removed.
While it is nice to note that there is an apex 'seating area' for projection around 4" deep, this feels like a half-assed hail mary given the rest of the band and rigging causes the cup to curve back into itself on top and bottom. Maybe this battle of wills is over the bra wanting my boobs to go somewhere (they mos def don't take orders), or my breasts don't compress like this thing expects them to. I'm gonna need way narrower roots for this since everything grows straight out from them. Which is weird cuz the wires in Idol Allure are really not all that narrow? My lower breast complains about how it feels squished vertically on the inside at gore, while the higher breast is upset that it's both being pushed back into the outer side of the cup, and pushed down along the upper edge from strap toward the gore.
It's not a bad option if you're after security. But it's been so incredibly hot and humid lately, that the stay-up sticky lining and overdone heavy materials are difficult to assess without extreme prejudice. I will not be saying a word on the super long, thin accessory straps or their many attachment points. Read more 347 more words
I have tried SO many strapless bras it's not funny. For one reason or another I sent them all back, and I was getting very discouraged. But Woo-Hoo...I'm keeping this one! It felt "right" as soon as I put it on. The band has firm stretch, boning under the arms (not the back), 3 x 3 hooks, 1 3/8" wide elastic with silicone on the top of the band, elastic encased within the seam on the bottom edge (no silicone) so it's quite comfortable! Plus, this baby doesn't fall down!!! (I really think the trick to its' success is the super wide elastic top.) Yet somehow back ...fat was not an issue. Go figure! The cups are very rigid (like the Deco's), deep and moderately wide. The top is not cut in like all the other strapless I've tried, and there is sufficient depth for center fullness. And it doesn't even cut in at my armpits! As for profile shape, the cups are softly rounded with a very subtle hint of pointiness and ever so slightly east/west (.5"...completely within acceptable limits, especially considering how hard it is to find a projected strapless). The outside (both cups and band) is covered in fishnet lace with a small band of scalloped lace across the top of the cups, keeping this bra from being boring looking or strictly utilitarian. For comfort, there is NO silicone anywhere on the cups, like most strapless have. The gore is tall and pushes its' way through a little bit. A lot of the support is coming from that structure but it's well within what I can handle wearing. (Although if it was up to me, I'd shorten it about 1/2"...if I could.) To minimise the height of the wire at the gore, I pushed the wires as far to the outer cups as they would go. So I shall wait and see if it continues to be comfortable under the arms...but so far so good. The basic straps provided are 1/2" wide and adjust easily, as if the slide buckle might slip while wearing. But so far (a day or two wearing) that hasn't been a problem. The multi-positional straps, both front and back make this very versatile and more useful than just a strapless. But I must admit, I've not yet tried it halter style, which needs the greatest strap length. Overall, a great bra, with or without the straps! Freya, you restored my faith in strapless bras with this one!!!
Update: After wearing this a few times for 8+ hours the band under the arms starts to chaff, and it seems 'all of a sudden' I notice the pain and can't wait to take it off. But hey, if it takes that long to happen, I guess I can't complain too much. Read more 364 more words
Cute bra, seems like it would work for me very well if I went up a cup size. I'm on my monthly so we'll see how it fits once I'm not. I ordered it off ebay expecting EU sizes, but they sent me an American 30G (EU 30F). My mistake. Still wearable but I feel pretty squished. Nice quality. Lightly lined, not a soft cup but not padded either. I think the word is "moulded..." There's grippy silicone on the back. If I jump, my boobs stay in place
Despite the bratabase system telling me it doesn't fit, I actually rather like it. The problems are temporary or situational: if I wear this bra strapless as intended, the top of the cup cuts into my tissue a tiny bit. If I wear any version of straps with it, this goes away and is most likely caused by my back shape, i.e having the band lie a bit too low in the back.
Likes: - Its pretty - Its strapless with removable straps
Dislikes: - The band feels very tight and hurts my ribs in my back if worn for too long - The cup seems too tall, it wraps into my armpit and there isn't enough breast tissue to fill the tops of the cup
I bought this bra on the advice of a sales person, and I now know that it isn't the right type of bra for me. In general, the volume of my breasts does not meet the volume of these cups. Plus they're unforgiving of different breast sizes; it is very clear my large breast is overflowing while my smaller breast is swimming in the cup.
The band has a sticky-like material to help hold it against the skin. Since this is strapless, the salesperson advised a smaller band to ensure it would not fall down. I haven't actually worn this bra out yet. I think the band could be comfortable enough for an evening.
