I have a few Freya half cups and have generally liked their fit. However I feel like this one is shallower than others. The bottom is especially shallow.
The top is nice and open, which is good for those FoT or with tall roots.
I think the band also runs a little loose with this one
The color and print are lovely!

    • This is so cute on you!!! I've found some of the half cups are more shallow than others....sigh.

    Didn't fit

I will preface my review by saying that the bras I wear most frequently are the Freya Patsy half cup (in a 30G) and the Freya Thimble Cottage half cup (in a 32G). I was hoping to find another lighter colored bra with a similar shape and snapped up an Eden in a 32G while they were still available. Not having too many reviews here to go on, I assumed the fit would be more similar to the Thimble Cottage because they both have the smoother cup fabric and the wider band of lace across the top of the cup. I had high hopes because the Thimble is ... currently my best-fitting bra (I quad just a little bit in my Patsys). Unfortunately, I was mistaken. The Eden is cut slightly differently and that makes just enough difference to ruin the fit of this bra for me.

At first glance, the measurements of the two bras are similar. But you can see that the wings are significantly taller in the Eden....nearly an inch. The cups are also taller, which is not something Bratabase asks for, but I measured both the Thimble and the Eden along the outer of the two vertical seams and the Eden is 1/2" taller. One of the things that makes half-cups work best for me is the fact that they *don't* have a bunch of material above the apex of the cup. I recently lost a lot of weight and don't have an abundance of tissue is the upper part of my breasts. So, any bra with a tall cup is usually just a wrinkly mess of empty fabric near the straps. I haven't had this problem with a half-cup until I got this Eden. *sad face* Speaking of straps, the ones on this bra are much wider than my other Freya half cups. I have an athletic build and really broad shoulders but I feel like these straps would fall off. That is an issue I *never* have with bras.

All in all, I'm disappointed in this bra and in Freya for not being able to make a consistent fit in bras that are supposedly the same cut. Like many Americans who turn to UK bras for the sizes we can't find in the US, I am unable to stop by a local store to try on bras before I buy them. Instead, I research and I read reviews and consult the measurements here and then order something and HOPE it might fit. When they do, it's like the clouds part and the angels sing "Hallelujah!" and I want to order 50 more of the same bra. But when they don't, it's really a bummer. This bra is too pretty to be a bummer, but it is.

    • There is a place to enter bra height on Bratabase.

    • It's not something I have ever been prompted to enter in the standard measurements. So, if there's some alternate page for other measurements, I'd appreciate it if you could direct me there, Prettyncharmeuse ...

    • missval24 when you go to add measurements there's a button at the bottom that says "I like measuring" if you click on that there's a spot all the way at the bottom for cup height.

    • Eden was an anomaly among Freya half cups for me, too!

    • MissV I have a lot of success with Freya half cups too - like you, the Thimble Cottage and Patsy are my two most worn bras! (both in 30F) I tried the stunning Kiyoko and Zentangle earlier on the year in the half cup cut and they are both even more different from these slightly older styles. They are both cut for fuller on the top especially the Kiyoko which gaped hugely on me. Very disappointing as like you say if something is called the same cut you assume it's going to measure/ fit the same.

Deeper than Comexim 3HC. Shallower and wider than Ewa CHP.
Ok immediate projection to evenly full but overall shallow cup, on a halfcup almost plunge frame. Not quite either, somewhere in between.

At rest the gore is almost 3" tall, about 1.35+ shorter than the wing which feels -low balcony- tier... worn the gore shrinks to about 2.65" tall and feels decidedly plunge. The cup is more of a 12+ depth along the upper cup near hem, and 11.5 deep in the lower cup. After taking in the band & altering the placement of straps, this bra DOES fit, at least half the time... Supposed that would make this a 26J-28HHish in size?

This bra is supercute! I love the pattern and the lace at the top of the cup is a good match. I like the fit of the cup, which is similar to Strawberry Fields but perhaps a smidge shorter, and it's very comfortable. The band is stretchy, like all of Freya's bands. There is some empty space on the inside of each cup because my breasts are widest, but the cup doesn't lose any support because of that.

Okay Freya , what's with the variations in half cups? 30G - Freya » Eden Padded Half Cup Bra (1813) is supposed to be a 30G - Freya » Patsy Plunge Balcony Bra (1221) . Compared with my Patsy, the cups are extremely shallow, running smaller and shorter. It was way too small in a G cup, accommodating some upper fullness, but with tons of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup. Similarly, my Freya Rapture Padded Half Cup Bra (1673) in 30G is also supposed to be a Patsy clone, but it's super shallow. Thankfully I tried this in store. I obviously can't blind order Freya half cups other than Patsy. I also found the padding on Eden to be much thinner than on Patsy. Too thin for my comfort.

Wow, does this run small!! I ordered the Eden half cup and the Freya Fifi half cup at the same time in size 30GG. They both arrived on the same day. The Eden is VISIBLY smaller. The 30 band is MUCH tighter than the 30 band on the Fifi. The cups also run differently than the Fifi. The side of the cups come very high, so much so that it is unwearable (serious rubbing near my underarm). The cups did not fit. I think they were too shallow and wide for me. I had extra fabric on ... the bottom of the cup, but the top of the cup dug in. Also, since the cups were small, the top hit very low on my breast, almost at the middle, close to my nipples. I think this style is closest to the Patsy, which I also cannot wear because the sides come up too high. I was very disappointed because I LOVE the Freya Totally Tartan. I have both colorways of the Totally Tartan padded half cup bra in 32G (does not come in 30GG, but I can manage on the tightest hook). I also have the Freya Bombshell in 32G, which works fine on the tightest hook. Neither the Fifi nor the Eden worked for me in 30GG, although the 30 band in the Fifi was perfect. I usually wear a 30GG in other styles and brands (Freya Deco, Cleo Maya, for example).

So, when I took this out of the box, my first thoughts were: 1. how gorgeous it is and 2. ummmm has freya adjusted their sizing majorly?! the back band was way smaller than any other freya 30 band i'd seen. I was able to wear it with an extender so I was planning on keeping it but then Bravissimo contacted me about my review because they said by their accounts this bra's band runs true to size and they believed I got a mislabeled or otherwise funked up one. So they asked me to return it so they could inspect it and send me a new one... urgh.
