  1. Just got this bra in the mail, and I am SO happy.
It's obviously very similar to the Deco Honey, but somehow, the cups fit a lot better. Instead of being further off to the sides, it fits me exactly where I need it.
Wires are narrow enough, depth is good, band is, so far nice and snug.
Color and design= A++. The blush is a delicate pink, as opposed to how it appears in some photos as a light beige-y pink.
There's all the frills, and bows on the straps, same as the Honey, but in a different color from the bra, which is great.
No gaping or quadding this time. I'd ... recommend this to anyone with average to narrow roots, and with average projection. I'm even to FoT, and this fits me very nicely.
I don't know why my Honey and Vibe are different, but this one fits me a lot better.
The cups are also moulded, fairly thick, so they obviously give a nice round shape.

    Edit:
I've worn this 2-3 times now. I know, bad https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" /> I definitely need to order more. This is what I've been looking for. Fits sooo much better than the Honey, cup shape wise. That one, the cups are less forward facing IMO, less close, and kinda taper to the sides up top, which is the opposite of what I need.
I have tall, semi shallow roots, and my boobs touch after they're lifted any amount.
The Vibe is close enough for my boobs, and doesn't start goimg off to the sides but stays up front and centered. The top of the cups are both deep and shallow enough for my roots. No cutting in or gaping, both of which I get with the Honey .
The band is also much firmer. Makes me feel great all day. I'll be stocking up on these https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Edit2: Forgot to add, you can make this into a racerback, and adjust the hooks to where you want them on your back. I thought this was a cool feature, as some racerback tops are cut differently and then you can still see certain racerback bras.

Edit3: I've started experiencing some weird gapping in the tops of the cups UNLESS I use the racer back clip. It's weird, because it's not nearly as bad as the Honey (because the cups taper off towards my arms up top), but it's still noticeable. I'm very shallow up top, so I think I just can't do tall, stiff/molded cups. I mean I can, it's just not a great fit. I think the racer back clip pulls the straps in a way that pulls the cups even more towards the center, and flattens them, and that's why that works.

So just FYI, might not work for tall-shallow roots. Probably better for a lot of upper or all around fullness. I only have fullness in the very center.

The Vibe was apart of the "new" Deco re-design that included the new stitching on the top of the cups. Other styles like this are Deco Charm, Delight and Rebel.

    • 1

ProperlyFitted So that explains why the Charm and Vibe fit so differently than the Honey! Thanks :D now I know to search around for the others ^_^

    Didn't fit

I was fairly certain the Deco wouldn't work for me, but it'd been so long since I'd tried it I couldn't help but give it another shot.

I sister sized down to a 30G as I've read the band can run stretchy, but I actually found it to run about true to size. I could close it, but it was definitely tight. As for the cups, I got overspill on my larger side; I would get a cup size up if I wanted to stick with this bra (I don't).

The other big issue I had, and the one I suspected the most, is the cups aren't projected enough at the bottom, thus pushing the wires down too low. For this reason I will be returning the bra and not trying it again.

    Hasn't set fit

My teen has regular Decos in 28GG and 28H, and while Deco is soft, smooth seamless and subtle, making it a favorite in rotation... she truly despises the gore.

Understandable. So we've been on the hunt for a plunge version with racerback option which came up a size small, but seemed as though it might be somewhat forgiving, being more open in the center and better suited to a very small frame. One finally turned up. In a favorite color combination, new and unused! It works! It's filling all the needs, and checking all the boxes! For a super hard to fit combo of upper full, ... close set and short bustline! Hallelujah. Back to regular life forgetting about boobs, right?

However. This is where it all goes off the rails

    You see. There were... Problems.

For even with a perfect fit you can never 'have it all'. Or, as kid affectionately calls this, 'The Bra Made From Chainsaw Blades' .

Week 1. Total obsession. Glee. Some occasional hunching, and asking me for gift tape. I think nothing of this whatsoever, who hasn't felt the joy of not being stabbed in the sternum?
Week 2. Admitting defeat is the first step to redemption, but this might be a premature tactic for some. Deco plunge shows up on my sewing machine, I'm asked later whether the 'itchy strip of interfacing' sewn inside, where the band and wing join, can be removed. "It's kind of pokey". I gently say that I can pick that off but it might take some time to find a replacement strip of material to serve the same purpose- Deco Plunge might not be available for awhile. Bra leaves the machine zone, and vanishes back into the Void.
Week 3. Kid is going braless. This has never happened, and would never happen, but I say nothing and go about my business. Huh, we're running low on bandaids. I just restocked with what seemed like a lifetime supply? Also we've run out of mini pads, during a non menses time of the month. Adding items to shopping list.
Week 4. The Reveal. I'm approached with a morbid and uncharacteristic admission that I Might Be Needed To Examine Something. Expecting another tarantula hiding under the bed or maybe a stray cat in a closet, mental assessment of carriers and exterminators come to mind. No, just pulling up a hoodie to show 5 or 6" of what looks like a bloody raw series of tiny knife wounds, running from just behind my kid's armpits toward her spine.

We fetch the medical kit and sanitize this bizarre pair of deep welts while I apologize profusely for how painful the whole process is, and realize on very close inspection that this is not really chaffing, it's many series of tiny stabs. Kiddo explains that she can't wear anything because it hurts so much, and honestly I can't really imagine any kind of heat rash or boobsweat situation that compares. It finally hits me. "Hey, so what ended up happening with that aqua deco you had?"
Silence, leaving, and returning with the offending item. On close inspection, it's not the sheer vertical strip that itched... it turns out that the bands sewn horizontally along the side are some kind of cheapo antiroll elastic that becomes razorlike when pulled slightly, and has rows of stiff reinforcing rubber pointing at the sharp edge.

I've never seen a half inch lingerie elastic so rough or stiff, but I guess there's a first time for everything. Someone clearly thought, 'Oh well the color matches and it has pretty loops so it should be fine'.

It was not fine. Luckily Jennifer Fairbanks sent me some of her ultra soft bramaking elastic which saved this Deco from the trash, my girl is on the mend but still scarred, and we've all learned valuable lessons about being extremely nitpicky about textiles.

  4. There's a lot already said about this bra, so I'll keep it simple and just explain how it fit me.

    * Band feels true to size. For whatever reason (maybe the height of the band?), it doesn't do anything to help control the fluff over my wide lats.
    * The J-hook will be a good alternative to a strapless bra for summer time tops.
    * Strap length is fine in standard position, but barely long enough when the J-hook is connected into the racerback position. Cuts into the tops of my shoulders. Hope that loosens up with washing and wearing.
    * Strap width is annoying wide. Front strap separation is annoying; ... set too far apart.
    * The gore is low and stays out of the way. Tacks nicely without being uncomfortable.
    * The wires tuck under my IMF pretty well; better than most.
    * The cups are slightly wide and slightly shallow on me. Wish it had a little more depth and a little less width. Still, projection at the wire is better than I expected.
    * When standing straight with good posture, the cup quads just a bit on my larger side. And when rolling my shoulders forward, the cup gapes on my smaller side. Sigh...I can't win!

    Update:
    * The issue of the wide-set straps making the cups buckle is super annoying!
    * (What I never noticed until now is in the first half of the questions "How Does it Fit?" it asks if the straps are too far apart. But in the second "Assessment" page, it doesn't give the option to clarify.)
    * Maybe if Freya designed a scaled down version of this for petites, I'd get a much better fit: less height and width in the cups (but more depth, even at the gore); make the straps narrower, and bring them closer to center... and they'd have a perfect winner!
    2nd update:
As I did with the black Freya Deco (4234) I have, I also repositioned the straps on this one about 1cm closer to center, simply by lining up the edge of the cups with the edge of the straps.

  5. My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full.
I've had this bra for 4 years now in black and blush and it's still on the last hook and the only sign of use is the fact that the straps are a little fuzzy and the blush's straps are also more gray.
But this bra used to be too tall for me and now it's way too small for me but the height is still kinda okay since the cups are so tall. The straps are too wide set like most bras and the tall cups really don't help the feeling of them being in my armpits. It's a great cleavage bra especially if you have symmastia and need the j-hook to force your boobs to stay together.

The Freya Deco Vibe Moulded Plunge Bra (1704) seems like a nice, comfortable bra. I haven't yet worn it for longer than a few minutes as I only tried it on and the size I ordered was too big in the cups. At least, it was too big at this time of the month, I tend to fluctuate between cup sizes throughout the month.

    Fits

This bra fits me well, but for some reason only when I use the racerback hook. If I don't use it my center fullness spills out the middle. I can tell that it is trying to even when I have the racerback engaged, but it's not noticeable most of the time. I have to wear it on one of the middle hooks for proper support but I don't mind.

This has pretty good immediate projection for a moulded cup. It stays in my IMF well.

Overall, I love the way Freya bras fit. They make great t shirt bras and give amazing support. However, this one isn't my favorite because the straps are very far apart so I have to wear it in the racerback form all the time.
