    I keep buying deco and every one a winner. I’ve tried others and I really want to expand my repertoire, but I simply can’t! I have big boobs, deceptively so as I spill from the side (armpits), but Freya deco cannot be beaten on comfort and looks for the price tag, especially when shopping through brastop. I’ve found bravissimo satins are good but not as good as these. Rigby & Peller are the only bra store to offer any similarity in comfort and look under as well as without clothing, but the price tag 🏷 I just cannot justify u til I know I am not going to lose any more weight. For those interested however, Freya deco come up larger normally but not on good bras such as R&P, so empreinte Cassiopee and Prima Donna eternal fitted perfectly at a shocking down size to a 32f (so single f rather than my usual deco double!),

    Used to fit

    There's a lot already said about this bra, so I'll keep it simple and just explain how it fit me.

    * Band feels true to size. For whatever reason (maybe the height of the band?), it doesn't do anything to help control the fluff over my wide lats.
    * The J-hook will be a good alternative to a strapless bra for summer time tops.
    * Strap length is fine in standard position, but barely long enough when the J-hook is connected into the racerback position. Cuts into the tops of my shoulders. Hope that loosens up with washing and wearing.
    * Strap width is annoying wide. Front strap separation is annoying; ... set too far apart.
    * The gore is low and stays out of the way. Tacks nicely without being uncomfortable.
    * The wires tuck under my IMF pretty well; better than most.
    * The cups are slightly wide and slightly shallow on me. Wish it had a little more depth and a little less width. Still, projection at the wire is better than I expected.
    * When standing straight with good posture, the cup quads just a bit on my larger side. And when rolling my shoulders forward, the cup gapes on my smaller side. Sigh...I can't win!

    Update:
    * The issue of the wide-set straps making the cups buckle is super annoying!
    * (What I never noticed until now is in the first half of the questions "How Does it Fit?" it asks if the straps are too far apart. But in the second "Assessment" page, it doesn't give the option to clarify.)
    * Maybe if Freya designed a scaled down version of this for petites, I'd get a much better fit: less height and width in the cups (but more depth, even at the gore); make the straps narrower, and bring them closer to center... and they'd have a perfect winner!
    2nd update:
    As I did with the black Freya Deco (4234) I have, I also repositioned the straps on this one about 1cm closer to center, simply by lining up the edge of the cups with the edge of the straps.

    ABOUT THIS BRA
    This is an molded, padded, plunge bra with J-hook.

    Purchasing:
    * $40 on Amazon with free Prime shipping & returns
    * Not available with Amazon Wardrobe.
    * Available in beige, black, and blue. (Other sizes have more colors.)

    Band:
    * One layer of a smooth, stretch knit with decorative lace overlay.
    * Wing support: seaming.
    * Continuous band - wires lower than wings.
    * Back close with 3 columns of hooks.

    Straps:
    * ridged elastic with outer lacy ridges
    * soft (don’t stand up on their own)
    * partial adjust (limited by sliding J-hook)
    * leotard back
    * J-hook

    Cups:
    * seamless half cup (Called a plunge, but in this size, the gore is rather tall.)
    * no special side support
    * unpadded, ... soft underwire
    * Inner top edge of cup is edged slightly stretchy edge banding. Outer cup edge is slightly stretchy elastic that continues to the top of the band.
    * Cups are thin foam sandwiched inside a smooth, stretch, opaque knit.

    ABOUT ME: petite with wide, horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts
    * average projection (not shallow nor super projected)
    * average-set (one finger width of space between breasts)
    * wide roots (extend to the mid-axillary line)
    * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full)
    * short root height, average vertical placement
    * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away)
    * conical shape (but will squish to round)
    * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FoB due to short roots and soft tissue
    * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame
    * front (anterior) rib flares (not usually a fit issue, but I like that longlines make them disappear)

    FIT DETAILS

    Band:
    * length: stays in place with wear, nice & snug, comfy
    * wings: height good, smooth line

    Gore: Tacks. Height & width fine.

    Straps:
    * Way too far apart. Slip, even when over tightened. The strap-cup junction is lateral to my anterior axillary line (outside of armpit crease).
    * With J-hook, don’t slip but worsens tail of Spence pain.
    * Adjust short enough.

    Cups:
    * Wires enclose all tissue AND it stays there.
    * Top of cup: giant gap
    * Bottom of cup: wrinkles or gaps (not enough immediate projection at wire). Wire pushed down to find more cup depth.
    * Cup apex: fits (not too deep, too shallow, nor off-center)
    * Outer edge of cup cuts into Tail of Spence.
    * Side view: flat
    * Front view: wide

    ASSESSMENT & PLAN

    * Horrific fit. Was having trouble with styles that were too projected, so tried a shallower style. This model is recommended for even vertical fullness and shallow-side-of-average projection. Sounded like a good match for my shape. WRONG.
    * The padded cup is molded rather flat and too stiff to curve itself around the apex. The low gore and wide-set straps cannot pull the top of the cup back to the chest -- it gaps comically. Also, the cups look gigantic on my small frame.
    * Too shallow. STOP.
    * I would recommend this model for truly shallow boobs with average to wide shoulders. Not for shallow-side-of-average projection (nor more projected). Not for narrow shoulders.

    Didn't fit

    I wanted to like this one as the bra is cute and seems to be well made, but it didn't work for me. The band was ok - it seems to run true to size, but is maybe a little firmer than I'd prefer. However, molded cups are a challenge for me and this is no exception. There isn't enough projection at the wire, so my breast tissue isn't getting down into the bottom of the cup. Instead, they push on the cup and create a weird fold at the bottom of the cup. The wires are probably too wide for me (the underwire nearly hits my back), ... so I'm not filling the sides out. Additionally, I get some gaping at the top of the cups, especially on my smaller breast. Even if I filled out the top of the cup more, I think you would see the line from this bra under a shirt because the bra itself is pretty thick (4-5mm). Finally, the straps are too far apart for my shoulders. Sometimes that is okay, but it doesn't work here because it exasperates the cup gaping.

    Even though the bra didn't work for me, I think it is worth a shot.

    As for me, I'm still on the hunt for the perfect T-shirt bra.
