    Hasn't set fit

I have many Decos (probably 10 or so) of various colors and types (Spotlight, Vibe, Delight, Rebel, Honey, etc). I had previously passed on this one because I saw nothing special about it, but changed my mind when I found out it has 3 HOOKS vs. 2 (and found it at a great price)! That makes this bra feel very secure. The straps are much narrower than the normal Decos, but so far that doesn't bother me because the band does so much of the work. In my opinion, the band runs firm, but not as tight as the vibe, and the cups run a tad on the smaller size. They hug the top of my breasts like the spotlight does.

With your Deco expertise, may I ask a question...? Do you have a recommendation for a style that may create a tiny bit less cleavage/less spill of breast tissue to the center? I have a Deco in lagoon (is that Rebel?) & love the shape, color and fabric but need a slightly better fit for my next Deco. I'm around a 30H in Freya these days... thanks!

    • 1

berexxa I also have the Lagoon and it is very similar to the Rebel. You might want to try the Spotlight. I have very soft tissue and tend to spill into the middle, but this version holds me in place the best. Some people can not wear this one because it "cuts in", but I don't have this problem. I just find that it "cups" my tissue better.

Regardless of version, if you are a 30H, you might have a problem with all of the Decos simply because they only go up to size GG. You might want to try the Deco Vibe in 32GG. I have tried this model in the 30GG in both the blush and the electric blue colorways. In both cases, I have found the band to be tight and the cups to be on the small side. In this version, I have to wear my "sister-size" of 32G. Since you are currently a 30H, you may want to try the 32GG in the Deco Vibe.

Also, you might want to try the Freya Idol. I have found that this bra gives a very similar shape to the Deco, but more coverage, so I don't spill to the center, ever. In this bra (I have both the nude and the black), I have to wear the 30G because I find the cups to be on the big side. You may find the 30GG works for you since you are a 30H. The band on this bra is very tight!

I hope these ideas help. Best wishes on your bra quest!

    • Thanks SavvyL ! That was very comprehensive and helpful.

    • Great review, thanks for the information! I wanted to ask you an..opposite question :D The older version of the Deco was more open on top and didn't have the sewed edge on the cups, and I liked the edge-free one better than the new cut (I tried the old&new Honey for instance). From your experience, which of the styles you've tried would be more open on top? Thanks! :)

    Fits

This is the first bra I've tried recently that fits! It more than fits...I think it makes my shape look almost cartoonishly good. I love how much lift it gives me.

The cup shape and cup separation feels like it was made for me. The problems that I've been running into with other bras recently are: top edge of the cup digging in if the rest of the cup fits me, next cup size up even worse because the underwire is wide enough to flatten me, and cups too far apart. This bra doesn't have any of those problems. And the convertible straps ... are a must for me - crossed straps are the only kind that won't fall off my narrow, sloped shoulders.

The band feels either tighter or less stretchy than other 30 bands I've tried. I don't mind that - I think the tight band might be helping to create the epic shape in front.

There are 2 things about this bra that I think could be improved, though.

    1) The convertible hardware. I always prefer hardware that detaches at the middle of the strap - it's easier to put on, easier to take off, more comfortable with no possibility of being poked, and more durable because the fabric isn't stressed when the strap position is changed. This bra doesn't have that type of hardware, unfortunately. It has strap hooks in loops of fabric, in two places - in the front at the top of the cup, and in the back on the band. Being able to attach them in the front makes the bra reasonably easy to put on and take off, but I think the fabric loops will still wear down over time from repeatedly detaching the straps (which I need to do every time I put it on or take it off, because I wear the straps crossed). It's difficult to detach the straps without the little metal hook getting caught on the inside of the fabric loop.

    2) Exposed elastic. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I prefer a seamless band - or covered elastic at a minimum.

If I could combine the convertible hardware from 65D - Marie Jo L'aventure » William (012-1276), with the seamless band from 30E - Simone Perele » Inspiration 3 Way Memory Foam Bra (12W361), and the cup shape and fit of 30DD - Freya » Deco Shape Moulded Multiway Bra (1464) , I think I would have "The Bra To End All Bras"! Without that, though, it's still a very good bra - and the only one I've found recently that fits me.

    Didn't fit

I'm actually really surprised at this bra. I ordered this bra on sale, before I realized the extent of my tissue migration, and started thinking it'd be tried on and promptly returned. Or if I kept it, I figured it would fit like my Hatty - a bit too wide, a bit too gappy at the top, but would serve its multi-way bra purpose and that would be that.

Well, these cups measure 5.5" - same as my Hatty. Depth is smaller than my Hatty at 9" but is right on target for a bra with an index size of 28:9. I ... probably could have done a GG for the sake of my bigger boob, but I don't think it's quadding enough to bother me. Time will tell. The good part is the Deco-gap at the top of the cups is much less pronounced in this style. Maybe it's due to the seam/edging at the top of the cup. I've heard that really stands out under shirts in other styles like the Spotlight and Vibe, but I haven't tried this bra on under a tighter shirt yet to find out. The cups are too shallow at the bottom, and fold over under my boob after a couple hours' wear. They're molded like every other Deco variation, and theoretically seamless under shirts. This is my only ivory color bra. The weird pattern on the band is meh. It needs to be a bit more vibrant, because as is it kinda looks like a stain.

The band has THREE HOOKS! Let's all take a moment to appreciate that. Not only that, it's a FIRM Freya band, stretching to 27.75"! Yes!!!! I wonder if Freya did this because the straps can be removed and it could be worn as a strapless? I don't see myself wearing it as a strapless, because of the cup construction, but regardless having a firm 3 hook band from Freya is like finding a unicorn.

UPDATE: Sold it, once I realized the wires sat half an inch below my IMF and half an inch outside my side root. It got really uncomfortable after a couple of hours.

This was my first experience with Freya - I knew I had to give their famous deco a try, especially since they make it in a multi-way!

This cup size sorta works on me: though the slight gaping is undeniable, the cups are firm enough that no wrinkling or awkward shaping results. I can fill the cups if I swoop and scoop, but I immediately begin to un-fill them again, as this bra is so loose on me that it would require constant adjustment. Can’t fill part of the bottom of the cup - I can fill it at the front center, but have a patch that extends diagonally ... backward toward the band of empty space - thankfully the fabric is firm enough that it doesn’t buckle. Good amount of padding coverage - not too much, not too little. Wings and cup are MUCH too high, and the painfully cut into my underarms (see photos). Band feels a little too tall on my back, like it’s taking up more space than I’d like. Cute color and button detail on the band, simple and stylish. Definitely need a larger band size - it painfully cuts in, and is a struggle to close on the loosest hooks. The lace on the band is not at all itchy, which was a nice surprise! (I usually hate lacy bands). Multiway straps are long enough and wide enough, and hook into place at the top of the cup and in the back (see photos).

Overall, it’s a good bra, but just not great for me in this size. I’d consider trying it in a 30FF/30F or 32F/32E.

This Freja bra should be listed as a 30D, from my experience and measurements. The cups are not wide enough (just plain not big enough) for me. I got a terrible fitting with this bra at the store I bought it from but I can't take it back because of their return policy. It's a quality bra...soft and well made. I like the neutral color to wear under things and the little bit of floral around the cups. I was hoping to use it as a cross-back as well as standard, but when I got it home and showed it to my husband he said, "That just doesn't fit you!" I agreed, so I'm selling it here.

The bra is beautiful. The straps feel plush when wearing it. And the good ends there. The band seems way too big to be a 30. The center gore, while placed low like a plunge, is painful. It presses into the space right where the ribs separate causing me to move the bra up out of position. The cups are made for a different breast shape/type. It seems more suitable for low-set breasts that are more full on top, with a lot of natural projection. This bra doesn't add or take any projection away. I'm neither shallow or really projecting, I'm somewhat narrow breasted, very high-set, equally full ... on top as on bottom. I fill out the bra all the way up to the apex, perfectly placed, but I stop filling out the bra an inch above my nipples. Doesn't sound like much, but for me this bra is a lot of coverage and the cups aren't the thinnest along the edges. It may fit me better when my breasts swell so, this may end up being my PMS bra.

The cups fit like classic deco plunges, not same though. Pretty open on top. And the band is firm, so it fits like 34~35ish for now.

The only good thing this bra did for me was show me exactly what "reverse orange-in-a-glass" looks like! The cups were ridiculously shallow and wide on me, the wire couldn't physically go within an inch of my IMF, it gaped at the top something awful. It is however a gorgeous bra with a subtle pattern across the gore and bottom wires, the multiway straps are a godsend and it would be a great bra for someone who is wide/shallow.
