The Venetian came as a BTB swap - just had to let my Panache Nancy go. Thank you uniteacher - the bikini is in perfect, like new condition! I love Freya Swim, so despite the pattern and style not really being my first choice, not exactly a ruffle fan - this bikini just might grow on me. My prime objective was to get the cup size right, which is a total success. The band feels unusually tight for Freya, much tighter than my Tootsie. The wires stretch wider than they should because of this. The gore is too wide, the wires sitting on breast tissue - this is really the biggest issue. Once the band stretches a little, I will probably take the gore in. Update will come after I dip the Venetian in the Adriatic Sea...
Cute, supportive, definitely adds volume & cleavage. The plunge style cuts in a bit, so definitely go up a cup size if you're FOT or have tall roots. The 28 band feels true to size, not super stretchy like some other Freyas. We'll see how it holds up in the water!
Freya bras usually run large in the band but this bikini definitely runs tight. The cups are also slightly too big. I really wish this had worked. I'm not a fan of the ruffles on the bikini top or bottom. I'm debating whether to try to make it work and cut off the ruffles or sell it.
I think this bra might run small in the cup, because I consider myself a 30GG and there is a little quad ding at the top. Not a ton, its not noticeable enough to not wear though, feels secure with nothing about to pop out. The swim top is un padded with just swim fabric and some power-mesh on the inside to support the bottom of the cup. The band feels tighter than a Deco band, but definitely not a whole band size down. The cup fabric is somewhat stretchy and has a slightly minimizing effect. I feel like it flattens my chest slightly. Comfy, easy to swim in, gore is a touch high for a plunge. Overall I am satisfied with the fit of this bikini top. My only grief with the appearance is there is extra fabric extending below the wires (maybe to make them feel softer??) I don't like how it looks on the bra aesthetically. But I'm just happy to have any sort of swim suit!
This bikini top is absolutely gorgeous. I've learned from it, however, that in Freya bikini tops I definitely need a 30D. The cups on the Venetian Plunge divide my breasts into quads and they do not contain armpit roll. I weigh 97 lbs and I have a very small frame. I usually wear 28 band bras on the tightest hooks, but the combination of a 28 band with a D cup in a swim top is just too small. I can make the top work; because it's a "plunge" the rolls of tissue look quite Victoria's Secret, but it's not a look I would choose to sport if this top wasn't so lovely.
