This sports bra is legit. The band does NOT stretch. I waver between a 30-32, depending on stretch level. Very, very glad I ordered a 32, and could probably make a 34 work as well. The support is fantastic. the shape is very classic Freya, a bit wide and a little flattened, but overall fairly flattering. It covers significantly more than a bikini top and could easily be worn as a "crop top" for those that don't want to wear a shirt. Hooks in the back with 4 rows and 4 columns of hooks. The wires are wide but not cumbersome. I have no issues with the tall ...gore (usually bras with a tall gore get stabby) or tall sides. The J-hook in the back is MOVEABLE so you can slide it up and down the strap in the back- very convenient, and less likely to snag on long hair (looking at you, Panache sport). The shape is a bit wide, however, so if you're doing an activity that requires arm motions across the body (golf swing, kickboxing) you may want to look into anti-chafing options. Definitely not a great low impact or yoga bra, but if you're doing a lot of movement, this is a great option.
I have a flared rib-cage, so sometimes the elastic bit at the bottom rolls up. I don't notice this most of the time, but it does make the band seem tighter in a more concentrated area.
Moisture wicking is pretty good so far. Went for a 3 mile hike in extremely humid conditions. Kept me as dry (as possible) and dried quickly post-hike for a long drive home.
Compared to the Panache sports bra, the Freya bra has less room in the top of the molded cup, which, for me, works perfectly. Panache bras don't fit me well (I've tried many, MANY options), and Freya has almost always come through for me. They came through again with this sports bra. If you tend to get a good fit out of Freya bras, I'd highly recommend this sports bra. Order in your true Freya size, or sister size up if you need a looser band. Read more 251 more words
I thought I bought this bra in UK30E but now that I´m adding it to Bratabase, I see that it is UK 30DD and EU 65E! No wonder the cups were tad too small!! To correct this I took the wires off completely. I estimated that the bra is sturdy enough that the fit wouldn´t be badly affected and I was right.
The band is ok for me although I usually lean against 28. It feels ok when wearing, no funny things going on. It still creates a perky uplifted shape even with no wires. The shape is affected a little bit because of the non-wireness but it still works its job and is comfortable to wear.
This was my go-to running bra for quite some time (prior to having breast reduction). It is a hefty bra, with 4 hooks, high wings, and full coverage, and it was the only bra I could find that minimized bounce enough to make running tolerable. It's not ideal in some ways--the full length of the wires were never quite flush with my body, and it always felt like I had on "a lot of bra." But it did work, which I can't say for any other bra--and I tried many! The bra has a j-hook in the back, making it convert into a racerback which increased the support level even further.
The wires on this for are quite wide but they don't dig in and so I don't find the width of the wires or the wire length an issue at all and I normally do. I like that the straps are a little bit water set then the Panache sports bra. That's not to say that the straps are wide but I like the look better. I don't get the bra cutting into my armpit fat so maybe that could have to do with the wing height.
The fabric on this bra is stretcher but still very supportive. The upper portion of the cups offers accommodation for upper fullness ...but also lower fullness. This bra has four columns of hooks with four hooks each
This is my preferred brought to the Panache sports bra which I love but I definitely like the look and feel of this bra better.
I have tried the Panache sports bra in size is 30G, 30FF, 32FF and 32F. I always have an issue with the cup depth to wire width ratio. I find it doesn't work as well with full on top chest.I am not able to fill out the upper portion of the bra. When the cup depth does work so what the cup width is too small and there's issues with it diggig in where it shouldn't.
I would recommend this for over the Panache sports bra to those with upper fullness or even fullness Read more 133 more words
This bra looks amazing and the fabric is nice and soft! The black with purple accents is very striking and makes me feel like a badass, heh. I sized down in the cup as I do with Panache, which seems to have been a good choice for me.
The band is surprisingly stretchy compared to the exceedingly tight sports bra bands I'm used to wearing, which makes it easier to put on, of course. It seemed to stay in place pretty well as I wore it around, but that's no guarantee on how firm it'd be during activity. The four hook clasps are MAGICAL.
The wires are very wide, but ...I don't seem to have an issue with the width despite my not-so-wide breasts. There may be a little extra room at the top of the cup in my larger breast. However, I don't think I'll be keeping this because my smaller breast just seems to swim in the thing, to the point where the fabric dents in at the apex. Yech.
I might exchange it for a 28E, though I'm afraid it'll compress my larger breast too much. Decisions, decisions... Read more 80 more words
I don´t know what I was thinking but I thought I bought this bra in UK 30E, but now that I´m adding it to Bratabase it seems that it is 30DD UK and 65E EU! No wonder the cups were a tad too small! Because of the slightly too small cups I took the wires out. I estimated it would not affect the fit too much and I was right. The cup space is better now and the bra still supports and lifts the boobs very well and the shape is perky.
Other than that, it is a good sports bra, feels very sturdy and even the band length is ok for me, even though I usually lean against 28 bands.
It pushes my boobs pretty high up and it feels like there is a little space in the top of the cup. Also the wires go up high in the middle and that can irritate my skin there. Despite that is this the best sports bra I have ever worn, I can breathe while I run and there is almost no bounce. No idea how I used to do sports without breathing.
This is the best sports bra I have owned. The underwires are wide enough but not too tall so they don't stab me in my armpits. I had to sister size down to 36H (as I usually do with Freya) because the band was too big in 38. This bra fits me better than the Panache sports bra (I have it in 38GG), but I can't say the fit is perfect. No matter how big a cup size I try, the gore in Panache sport doesn't sit flat against my sternum but the top part gapes.
This Freya sports bra doesn't sit against my sternum either but the overall ...fit is much better. I think this problem has something to do with the depth of the cups but I don't really know. This doesn't come as high up in the front as the Panache one but is supports better around my armpit. The shape in the front is more like V-neck shirt and that works very well for me since my boobs lack tissue around the top middle part but are quite full on top everywhere else (is that even possible...).
I haven't tried this bra in very hard training yet, but it does perform well in little jumps and jogging. It doesn't eliminate all bouncing but it definitely makes the little movements much more controlled and comfortable. I don't think any bra could stop all bouncing since my boobs aren't very firm and I do like to be able to breath. Read more 142 more words
