  1. Estela Mesh Underwired B-g Balconette Bra (004368)

To start, I have shallow, even fullness, close-set, pointy breasts. Unlined bras are frequently a problem but I always want them since molded bras get so sweaty. My first successful unlined bra was the Cleo Marcie, which I adore. I ordered this to be a nice, sexy bra and the design definitely delivers, but there was one readily apparent problem. While the bottom of the cup, the depth and the top elastic edges fit perfectly, the sheer mesh top panel had FAR too much material gathered into it. I would have to have much fuller but short-rooted breasts to have any chance of ... removing those wrinkles, but I believe then the elastic would cut in too much, so it could just as easily be an error in construction.
Fortunately it is a very simple fix. I have two comparison shots before and after I tucked the excess material behind the band that travels over the apex. It immediately lies flush after. It will be a matter of a minute to sew down securely and this bra is going to fit like a dream. I just wish it started that way.
Also, I should note the band runs very tight for a 30 band, I could only stretch it to 28.5", but that's fine for me.

Figleaves and all of their house brands (Midnight Grace, Lulu Tout) run very tight in the band and typically have quite narrow wires. This bra is gorgeous and I love the strappy cage-bra look. I might have to give it a go sometime. Thanks for reviewing!

    • Hey can you tell me if the cups are one piece? Like is the darker layer on the cups separate fabric and if so is it attached to the under layer? Figleaves is bad about doing multilayer bra cups that aren't tacked together and it drives me bonkers.

The bottom section is two layers of the same mesh, flush to each other and attached at every vertical stripe so nothing is moving.

This is one the weirdest fitting bras I've ever tried on. Hasn't got enough depth and gives an extremely pointy shape - I mean I look like Madonna in it. There is something funny going on with the wing support. I can't really explain, it feels like the bra is wide and shallow, but then the wing support area wants to pull in to where the outer wires need to be. My breasts are like jello, they take up whatever shape the bra offers, and this one is not a shape I'd like to have. I read a few reviews on the website saying "it gives a nice rounded shape". Well, not to me. Or this specific bra got seriously messed up. Sending it back.

I love seeing bras that are different and interesting with the details and straps.. but yikes. Such a weird fit.

I have this same bra. And while it doesnt give me a 'rounded' shape, I don't get the extremely pointed shape that you get.
Too bad it doesn't fit, its a cute bra.

Prettyncharmeuse I saw your photos before ordering, so wasn't expecting this. It is possible that something went wrong with the scaling. Or tha bra can be faulty, idk. The cup volume is not adequate for a 30F, while the width is so untypical for a Figleaves bra that should be narrow and deep. I suppose, those with firm tissue will get a different shape, but mine just flow into a mould of the bra so to say.
A shame because it is an interesting model with the double straps and other creative detailing.

  3. Tease Silk And Lace A-g Demi Bra (FIG-122137)

I have shallow, moderately wide breasts that are slightly conical in shape.

I've tried several different bras by the various Figleaves brands, but this is the first foray into their Boudoir line. I can definitely say that the cups in this line (at least, the padded ones) are very similar in shape to their padded cups in other lines: shallow, wide, and open on top. Very shallow-friendly. The cups maybe run a tad small. I get the barest amount of quadboob when I scoop and swoop properly. And it's definitely not an orange-in-a-glass type quadboob. I'm not sure if a 30DD would be ... too big or not. I'd rather have a smidgeon of quadboob than a cup that's too big anyways.

The first thing I notice upon trying this bra on is how wide set the straps are. I haven't tried on a bra with straps this wide set since I was wearing 32 and 34 bands. I can wiggle my shoulders and the straps just slide right off, no matter how tight the straps are.

The second thing I noticed was the lace. It looks pretty, but it's a bit of a pain. It gets folded and caught in things, and it looks like there wasn't a whole lots of effort into making it fit smoothly with the cup underneath. There's a pucker of lace at the dart, very similar to the Lepel Fiore Balcony (93208) that I owned a while back.

Also like the other Figleaves bras I've tried on is that the band seems to run a bit stiff/small. Which is pretty nice (in my opinion) because they don't offer 28 bands, only 30 bands. If you're between sizes, go with the larger one.

Overall, it's a pretty bra that would be near-perfect if the straps weren't so far apart. Very reminiscent of some high end bras, like the Mimi Holliday Bisou Bisou Berry Lace & Silk Satin Padded Shoulder Bra (AW12-251). Unfortunately, I don't think the quality is there to back up the look. At retail, it's a $76 bra, and I would have been extremely disappointed if I'd paid that much for it. I bought it on sale for $30, and I think $30 is a better reflection of this quality of bra.

I like this bra, and I feel like it's a good fit -- however, it feels different from the bras I wear, and I'm not sure why -- maybe the wires are narrower? Is the gore too wide for me? I didn't notice this until I took the pictures, but I see that the sling seam of the balconette cuts into my breast tissue underneath the arms as evidenced in my photos. Is this normal for holding my arms up, or what?

Sadly I can't fill out the top of the cups near the straps. I'd also prefer the band be a bit tighter. Too bad, since it's quite a pretty bra.

i got this here on bratabase from another user- the "2" is actually the same bra measured and entered twice https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> i would call this like new, as everything still looks perfect. it doesn't fit unfortunately, but its so damn pretty! i wish it were a better fit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

this bra has black lace cups with pink underlay on the bottom 2/3rds, which is much softer in color than my pictures make it appear. the top part of just lace seems to have some stretch to it. along the wires on the outside is a laced ribbon- ... my FAVORITE feature in a bra! Tutti Rouge Nichole seems to have this to- its so unique and beautiful, and i think its very flattering as well https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> there is also a small piece along the wing of the bra, where the lace ends and the mesh band begins. the straps have the same ribbon on the first half, so they're only partially adjustable. there is a small bow on the gore with some of the pink fabric and black lace overlay.

there appears to be a "sling" shape when you look on the inside of the bra cups- but i dont notice any extra layers of reinforcement or fabric. its just the same material as the double layer of fabric and lace as the cups, but it goes all the way tot he strap on the outside. it probably helps with shape, but i wouldnt think it would be as much of a sling as bras like the Panache Andorra.

the band on this is *very* snug for me- ive been between a 34 and 32. i can fasten it, but *just*, i used an extender because otherwise its too tight and pulls the wires out of shape. the cup is also too large for me. the wire width is fine, but i think it is too deep/projected for my large-shallow shape. the straps are also too wide for me, probably because the band is too small and it skews where the straps lie.

hopefully someone else can find a good fit in this! its incredibly gorgeous, but sadly not a match for me.

This bra is beautiful. It fits me quite well, the cup may be slightly small on my larger breast (my breasts are a little uneven), but it's not uncomfortable and doesn't give noticeable quad boob or anything. The only thing about this bra that drives me crazy are the tags on the band, they are SO itchy. I am not usually bothered by tags but the tags on this bra just drive me nuts. I'm probably going to end up cutting them off. But otherwise, this bra gives a very nice shape, separation, and it is very sexy.

  9. Promise A-g Silk Padded Demi Bra (122133)

I have shallow, moderately wide breasts that are conical in shape.

I bought this bra at the same time I purchased the Figleaves Boudoir Tease Silk And Lace A-g Demi Bra (FIG-122137), and their shapes are pretty much identical. Unfortunately, I have many of the same complaints for this one as I did that one.

The first is that the straps are too wide for me. They feel like they're just going to slip right off my shoulders. And while having the silk straps is really nice feeling, it just facilitates the slippage of the straps. In addition, the straps are only partially adjustable ... and do not adjust short enough for me.

Worth noting is that the cups are completely lined with silk. It feels so so so good. Unfortunately, the quality of sewing isn't great. The silk on both the inside and the outside of the cups is kind of baggy, and there's some odd puckering at the seams. It's not incredibly flattering. (But did I mention how good the silk cups feel?) The cups are moderately padded. Not as much as, say, the Lepel Fiore Plunge (93200), but moreso than the Freya padded half cups.

The band is stiff and runs a little small, which is nice. I'd prefer to be in a 28 band for most bras, but this 30 band works out okay for me. And as an aside, this seems to be fairly constant between all of Figleaves' padded bras across all their brands.

Overall, I'm a little underwhelmed by the bra. It looks and feels so pretty, but it also looks and feels cheap. The bra retailed at $71, and I would have been disappointed if I'd paid that much for it. However, I paid $28 for it, and I think that's an appropriate price for this bra. I wish this one worked for me!

  10. Tease Silk And Lace A-g Demi Bra (FIG-122137)

This is a sexy yet tasteful special occasion bra with just the right combination of pale pink silk and black lace. Fits like a pushup. The cups are slightly padded with and a little shallow so I sized up a little.
