Well the band is two sizes too large (I measure in as a 28e/f), but it otherwise fits pretty well. I do well in halfcups, being on the shallower side of average, and very wide rooted. The gore is actually narrow enough for me, which is unusual and surprising. I LOVE the pistachio color, the pale yellow lace, the little double bow details. Fauve makes the must beautiful bras
I wish Fauve were still around. Their bras are stunning. I got my first Fauve this year and ordered 2 more right away. Sad to have missed out before now. So pretty on you!
I bought the pink colourway brand new online in 30F for a great deal (from the UK), even though Fauve sizes are hard to find in this size range. The cup width is almost ideal for me, only maybe 0.1-0.2cm too wide for me, but it doesn't affect fit. This is a 3 part half cup, and cup depth is also just right, as I'm a smaller 30FF earlier in the month. I find this cup fits fairly deep and narrow, and it *almost* has enough depth at the wire for me (edited to *almost* as I realized it was buckling a tiny bit next to the wire ...where it wasn't quite projecting out enough at the underwire, but doens't affect comfort). The cup is also high enough to create support, lifting and rounding things out nicely, but it is also not too tall for my shorter roots. Although I'm not a huge fan of pink, the bra is actually made very well, and the cup details are embroidered onto a thin mesh lining overtop of the cups, which go all the way around to the back of the band... and it's not just a pattern, which I thought was really nice. I also like that the top edging of the cup has a folded over satin piece, which looks a little retro (in a subtle way). The colours looks nicer in person. Overall, great fit and great quality. The band measured quite long unstretched, which surprized me, because I find it fairly supportive, and it only stretched to my "maximum" length that I like in bras. Even though Iknow my true bra size is something between 28FF and 30E I like this bra because it is so cute and comfortable. The fauve cups tend to be bigger so that 32DD seems bigger than a Cleo to me.
This bra is one of the most beautiful bras that I own, is deep purple/aubergine (is not a brownish purple, is aubergine!), with pink, silver and golden embroidery, really really pretty.
Cup depth and width are average, I'm mean not too shallow not too deep and the underwires are quite average at 5.2", still a little too wide for me. But my bigger issues with this bra were the gore width and height, way too tall and wide and the underwires were too hard and rounded.
I performed some bra surgery and now fit me, more or less, changed the underwires for a pair from an old plunge, less ...rounded and more narrow, now the cup width is 5" and the cup depth 8.5", was 8.3 before; reduced the gore height and width and crossed the underwires at the top, now the width is a little more that 1/2" and the height 2", is not a drastic change but fit me better. I tought that I will need to reduce the band legth too but was not necessary, the band is in the small side for a 30 band.
The cups are quite invisible under clothing, in spite of the embroidery and lace, nice open cups, low coverage but not so much (I prefer more low coverage), the band is stretchy and not very firm, straps are very comfy and not wide set at all (compared with EM or Cleo for example).
The lace at borders is quite harsh, I tolerate it in the cups but at bottom of the band is too much, wore the bra yesterday and I still have a rash where the embroidery lace border touched my skin. I will remove it the border trim, probably the bra will look less pretty but more wearable. Read more 188 more words
Unbelievably gorgeous... most definitely one of the prettiest Fauves I've ever encountered! The cups are covered in soft, silky fabric which features a springy watercolor print and pink-lavender scalloped lace on the neckline, straps, and band near the clasp. The center gore is adorned with layered bows and shimmery rhinestone drops... divine!
Fit-wise, Grace is very similar to my Emmanuelle/Evangeline in terms of being both more projected and open on top than some other Fauve halfcups I've tried. The shape is excellent, round and pushed ever so slightly in and up. Grace is insanely comfortable and easy to wear, even for 12+ hour days.
First off: the color. It is not pistachio. It is a rich antique gold with green undertones, pale yellow-beige embroidery and lace, and palest yellow straps and trim. Very unusual! Second, the cut: no idea why this is called a plunge. The gore is pretty tall, and so are the cups. It's a pure balcony. On to the review! The band is not stretchy like some other Fauves. The materials and construction and comfort are all high-end Fauve level, it is certainly a luxurious, lovely thing. And exceptionally comfortable, satiny-smooth and soft against the skin. The soft padded straps are embroidered up the first half. The swirly vine ...embroidery is not thick, but does show under tight knits. The top lace panel is slightly stretchy, and does not cut in. I get a lifted, centered, natural look with a slight peak - not round apples, but not pointy either. The wires and gore are narrow enough for me, and come up high enough on the sides to pull in my outer fullness but not too high to poke. It is deep enough for my immediate projection, and deep at the apex also: holds a lot of boob quite securely. Not sure this bra would work well for shallow girls, though. I own Bronte in "jade" (it's blue, not green) also, and this is one of my favorite go-to unpadded bras for comfort, fit and luxury. Read more 127 more words
This is a beautiful, incredibly well-constructed and high quality bra which I tried briefly in the "Sunset Brown" colorway. The embroidery looks like a European tapestry... the overall aesthetic of the bra is more mature and sophisticated than overtly feminine. The cups seem to run about half a size large, and I had a minimal amount of gaping on my smaller breast. The shape was lovely and very lifted, as well as seamless beneath thin shirts.
That is a really posh looking bra! I think is the most elegant bra that I ever owned. The details of Bronte are so nice. I own this bra in 3 colours - silver, jade and pistchacio - just orange is missing! The colours - jade with black lace makes it so good. The band runs more loose than other colours. Its comfortable but not the most - after couple of hours wires are slightly noticeable. But it doesn't matter for me as i love appearance of this beauty!
Since I am a 32F this was a long shot anyway...and of course it is too small so I can't give it a true sizing review. But is it ever gorgeous! The azalea colorway is a rich deep red with violet undertones. The ruched straps are old-world elegant. The cocoa brown faux-lacing detail on the wing is sultry, as is the repousse lace detail on the cups. Like all Fauves, the band is very stretchy (the band was fine, didn't need an extender). Even though it is not my size anyway, the cups seem pretty shallow and closed on top compared to other Fauve half cups I own, giving serious muffin. Maybe its the trim across the top. If I didn't quad out of it so bad, I'd keep it for the sheer secret luxe of knowing it was under my regular office duds!

It's great :-) I see you are from Croatia and Croatian and Czech are both Slavic languages so they are similar. Blue is my favourite colour so I have to buy this set :-) However now I'm looking for some green or teal bra.
I get cleavage in this bra! Cleavage! I thought I was so shallow that cleavage was impossible. But no, this bra teases out what little cleavage I can achieve. Amazing. The tighter I pull the straps, the more cleavage (of the cakes-on-a-plate variety) I get. But of course, that's not comfortable to wear all day, so I don't.
The cups are very shallow on the sides and the bottom, which really pushes my breasts front and center. It's the perfect shape for my breasts, which don't have a lot of fullness there. It's the only bra that's come close to holding my breasts in the shape they take ...when I bend over. I can only imagine what it'll do for someone larger/with more projection than I have. I actually have tiny gaps right at the gore, so most of the volume is near the center/gore half of the cup.
The wires are very soft. They measure a tad narrow for me, but they stretch at the slightest tension, so practically the wires are on the wide side. My sternum curves outward from my underbust a bit, and usually I find that I need to bend gores away from me. Not so with this bra. It actually curves with my body. It does put a bit of pressure on my sternum, and it gets noticeable and slightly itchy after a while, but for the most part it's very comfortable. Technically, the gore is sitting on breast tissue, as I'm that close-set, but I'm shallow enough that it generally doesn't bother me.
The band, when new, was quite true to size, and very firm to boot. I found the loosest hook to be firmly comfortable around my 27" underbust. After the second wear, it's already starting to ride up a bit more than is normal but not enough that I'm moving to the second hook already. I'm very glad that this bra doesn't seem to have the stretchy band of its sister brand Freya.
The straps are very soft underneath, very plush. I love them. They're fully adjustable, which allows me to create as much cleavage as I want.
Seriously, this bra is so comfortable.
The cups have two vertical seams, so it's appropriate for shallow, wide, tall, FOT breasts. The lining itself is peppermint green. Everything else is brown. The band, straps, embroidery, and the mesh that covers the front of the bra are all brown. The lining is slightly shiny, but the mesh really kicks it up and makes it look very shiny. It also makes it very hard to photograph accurately. It looks slightly different depending on lighting too. I've adjusted the photos to best match the colors I see. I'm a little sad that the bra isn't actually pale peridot with black embroidery as it looks in official pictures. I like warm greens rather than cool greens, but the bra is still very pretty. Each bow (at the straps and the gore) is actually two bows- a larger brown bow and a thinner green bow in the center of the brown bow. The green bow at the gore has two little clear beads at the end.
The embroidery on this bra and the seams mean that it does show through thin and tight shirts. Ironically, this is more of a concern with my winter clothing than my summer clothing (I like loose, unisex t-shirts). It's too bad that this bra has been discontinued for so long. O.M.G. - Finally! A bra that truly, TRULY fits! I've had such a hard time finding the perfect bra and I think this is it. I've got average projection, with tall roots and slightly conical. I've been eyeing this bra for a very very long time and I finally purchased one.
Appearance: Beautiful. So much prettier in person. This bra has a gorgeous embroidery on the cups and the color (Moonlight) is a very pretty steel blue. The embroidery is slightly embossed, but not so much so that it would snag. The straps seem wider (in strap width) than Cleos, but that could be because there are little eye ...hook thingies as a frill.
Fit: AHHHHmazing. Seriously. The cups are lined, not padded. However, the lining is thicker than the Freya Patsy Half cups. I can't imagine anyone having a problem if it's cold https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. The cups are great for my projection (average) and since they're half cups, they allow for my taller roots. I fill this cup perfectly, and for me, it is work appropriate. However, I could see it giving someone bigger too much ooomph for work. The inside of the cups are super soft and comfy. I think this bra actually makes me look bigger than what I am, but I guess that's what I get when I have a bra that fits right. The band runs true to size. I have yet to find out how fast it stretches.
Cons? None for me. BUT, I could see someone super petite or with a very high set chest having trouble adjusting the straps as they only adjust 3/4 of the way up due to the straps changing width.
I will sell my soul for more of these bras.

So, I'm working on getting my bras to 100% (because I'm a completionist) and took pictures of this today.

It's really soft and it's really pretty. There are lots of nice little details that made Fauve popular. I particularly like that the lace is gray and not white.
I thought about keeping it anyway, but I fell out on the left side when I bent over. That's a deal breaker for me.
Fauve makes the most beautiful luxury-class bras, with sophisticated design and upscale fabrics. As an older woman, I can only do so much fun/funky colorways and prefer a more subdued yet elegantly sexy look, which Fauve delivers. I am really annoyed that they closed just as I was discovering ABTF, and in reaction I went a little silly buying up all the Fauves I could find in anything remotely my size, including this Annalise. What a beauty! Nostalgic purple and ivory floral with richly detailed cream piping along the top of the half cup and up the vertical seams. Soft on the inside, soft lined wires and band, ...the lovely floral up part of the straps - just a dreamy bra all around. The lightly-padded half cups do magic 'soft hills' cleavage while being somehow demure. The wires are fairly wide but not tall or pokey; the gore is not as tall as other half cups and does not poke either. For reference I am close set, even, projected. I think this style would work on any shape because it gathers and holds so well; even FOT would work because of the open top. My shape is teardrop, with breast tissue spread out over my ribcage and all the features (and problems) shallow breasts have - tall roots to within two fingerwidths of my collarbone, wide roots wrapping around my ribcage, and firm unyielding tissue - with a lot more projection, as well as close-set and almost touching in the middle. The tail of my breast root is shaped like the Nike symbol and stretches back past my armpit.

Shimmery! That is the best word for this bra. It is one of most gorgeous bras I have ever owned and is on par with my ... class="mentioned-item">30F - Fauve » Marla Padded Half Cup Bra (0291) in terms of sparkle. My potato camera does not capture the color or the effect with any justice. The combination of shimmery sage green satin and ivory lace, not to mention the embellished straps and beaded bow details at the base of the straps and the center gore, makes me feel like I'm wearing a priceless antique! I almost never get matching knickers, but now I absolutely cannot wait to get them!
The gore tacks and is comfy! Hooray! This is a constant problem for me, and always a big IF when I order a bra online. However, since I am US-based and Fauve is now out of business, I didn't really have a choice. The gore on my 30F - Fauve » Maya Padded Half Cup (0271) was one that just didn't work out, for instance, but this time it was my birthday, and I have been eyeing this one for a long, long time because of its 30s look, so I took a chance and got lucky!
I fill out the bottom of the cup on this one! Hooray! Fauve half-cups are more forgiving on me than most, and this one is even better than the rest of the ones I have.
The photos make it seem like the top of the cup wrinkles (like it's gaping), but it is much less than it appears. That is to say, all my half-cups gape on me a little, especially if I slouch, but in this case, there is a crease in the fabric on the left cup from its postal journey, and the super shiny satin exaggerates and highlights the smallest of anomalies in the cup fit.
The wires are aaaaalmost wide enough. Still too steep of a curve, but since it's comfy and I have yet to find a bra that can truly accommodate the shape of my roots, I don't mind. I do like that there seems to be a little room on the sides of the cup, though, since I have a lot of side boob and I definitely fill it out!
The straps are lovely. Lots of ladies don't like embellished straps because they're harder to move the sliders on, but I like them too much and I will put up with it so that I can wear this delicious bra. They are wide and comfy and easily extend long enough for me without worrying about having to take them in someday.
The band is perfect. I am amazed because the back panels are powermesh, and powermesh always bulges even when you have the right size because of the difference in stretchiness between it and the elastic at the edges, but this one really doesn't. It's firm but great on the loosest hook, and I think it will last a long time.
On the subject of how stinkin' pretty it is, this is the bra, out of the dozens that I have owned, that finally inspired my fiance to mention that he doesn't think it's fair for me to keep buying such lovely things when no one else gets to see and appreciate them, so I guess the Coco is going to be paraded around the house a bit!
My only complaint is that sage green is not the best color on me. It's a silly thing, considering I knew that and bought the bra anyway, but it means I want the pearl pink colorway about ten times more now, and it is so much harder to find. The cups are a very good fit for my shallow boobs, and wide + tall root. The band was too big for me, I usually wear 28F-28FF, so I altered it down. The band doesn´t stretch much, or it is quite rigid, beware. The cups are almost okay, but I´ve noticed a little quadboob in the top of the cups. So maybe one size up would´ve fit me better. I have shallow boobs and wide+high roots and the shape is okay. The wires come quite high in the armpit and also in the center. I had to bend them a little so they wouldn´t stabb me. I´d prefer them shorter, but I can wear the bra without pain.
One curious thing. ...I have 3 colours of this bra, mink, peacock blue and purple. The mink seems to fit differently from the other two!! Peacock blue and purple are good for shallow + wide boobs, but the cups of the mink colourway are definitely deeper!! I get a droopy shape in the mink bra :-/ I don´t know if this really is due to colour, or size. They are all different sizes (all sister sizes to 28F): mink is 34D, peacock blue is 32DD and purple is 30E. Just beware of this!! Read more 90 more words
