Meh... Super pretty bra with wonderful trims and bow applique in the front left cup and in the back fastener. It's just really the wrong size and i can't wear it (I'm usually a 28e/f so I'd need to alter a 32d for a good cup fit). The cups are very open on top and low cut. I think even in the right cup size, it would be low cut. The materials are super soft and luxurious feeling. The Ruby is a luminous deep red. I love the trim on the straps.
Fauve definitely offers the most beautiful design among all the DD+ brands. Even if the appearance can be dubious for someone, I must admit that the quality is perfect down to the finest detail. Some reviews say that Lucia runs big in the cups. As Fauve doesn't produce 28 bands, I purchased the smallest band possible and went down one cup size - 30DD. And this is what I think about the fit:
- tha band - it's definitely too loose (all eveden's 30' bands are too loose for me). On the photos you can see the bra after it's been altered.
- the straps - they're very elegant and comfortable. ...
- the cups - the cup fit is kind of weird. First, the underwires are really very wide (I have some other Fauve's half cups, theye are all the same). They leave their marks about 1 cm after the breast tissue. It wouldn't matter a lot if they didn't poke into my ribs under the armpit. I can not wear this bra for a long time because it's painful. The second complaint concerns the cup shape. It could be a very interesting construction but there's a problem related to the wide underwires. The distance between the place where the straps are attached to the cup and where the underwires end is very long which means first, that the straps are situated very in front, and secondly, that there's an extra fabric on the sides and my breast tissue tries to escape in this "pocket". This is very unconfortable while wearing the bra and gives a sensation of pressure in the middle of the cup. This can mean that either the construction is wrong, or that I'm not compatible with this brand.
Excepting this cup problem, I like this bra for it's design and elegant fabric it's made of. Read more 197 more words
The unstretched band is long and stretches up to 34" without distorting the wires. The band is single layer mesh (one strike against long term quality). The straps are far apart & cut into my arms (which for some reason, Bratabase still considers this to fit). The embroidered "bow" above the left cup looks a little odd to me. In this colorway it's barely visible and the extra stitching only adds bulk. (Removing it would leave permanent marks in the satin cup). The attempted appeal just doesn't work! Like I said, the cups are satin, with black trim piped into the vertical seams, with scalloped ...lace at the edge. Of course, all those seams will show under an average Tshirt (a negative in my book). The lining is very thin tricot, much thinner than Evangeline's or Aurelia's (a plus in my book). Projection is front and center, not east/west or minimized (also a plus in my opinion). The gore is a little too tall & wide on me, so I get a bit of quadding only above the gore. The 5.5" wires are perfect for me and the 10" depth is almost ideal. Overall, it's a pretty good fit, but because of appearance won't likely be my favorite. Read more 104 more words
30F/FF tall and narrow root, average projection, splayed, full on top
Fauve bras are the right mix of sexy and elegant, making one of my absolute favorite brands. The Lucia is a gorgeous deep ruby color with black embroidery and trim. It gives perfect cakes on a plate cleavage and an upfront rounded profile.
I feel my only complaint would be how loose their bands are. Even though it's a 30 I need to put it on the tightest hook or the wires will slide down in front and the band will rise in the back. The decoration on the front of the straps is also not to my taste. In my opinion, ones that are simple black or the same ruby of the bra would look nicer.
Of all the Fauve Padded Half Cups I've tried (which is a bunch*), this is one of the ones that works the least for me. It's shorter, shallower, and wider-gored than its compatriots, and I'm full on top, projected, and close-set, so it's bad a match. It's pretty open on top, which is nice, but because it lacks height, I tend to fall out of the top. On the plus side, the band is nice and firm, not as stretchy as some of the others can be.
Straps note -- the actual strappy part of the straps is about 3/4", but the straps have lace on both sides ...which extends to about 1.5" at widest, so take note if you plan on wearing it with strappy tops.
*Here is how well they fit me, from best to worst. Better fits are deeper and/or more open on top.

This review is for the Ruby colorway, which has accents in chocolate brown. The blue Lucia, which has black accents, fits noticeably bigger in the cups than the Ruby colorway. Oddly enough, the center gore of the Ruby is also noticeably shorter than the blue Lucia's.
This lovely bra fits as a 30F Fauve padded half cup should. It fits like these other Fauve 30F half cup bras: Evangeline in black, Evangeline in Biscuit (clear, golden beige), and Evangeline in red Emmanuelle in blue/black Maya in Butterscotch (clear, golden beige) Chloe in teal, Chloe in blue, and Chloe in black Veronique in magenta Marla in blue, Marla in purple
I think you can understand why I ...was so annoyed that the 30F blue Fauve Lucia was not cut to the same depth as all those others.
To return to this ruby Fauve Lucia, it feels luxurious, as you would expect from Fauve. It gives dramatic, cakes on a plate cleavage. It has striking embroidery and trims. The Lucia model has an embroidered bow, placed asymmetrically on the left cup only, where it meets the strap.
The straps are partially adjustable. They continued the satin material and trims up the front of the straps. I'm petite, with somewhat high set breasts, but the straps shortened short enough for me. Each cup has two vertical seams.
The chocolate brown embroidery and trims are a dark chocolate color. So a high end milk chocolate, which has about 60% cocoa, also resembles this color. This color does NOT resemble Hersheys milk chocolate. I'm not judging you if that's what you like; I'm just pointing out how dark this brown accent color is. Read more 159 more words
I was SO excited to get the blue Fauve Lucia Padded Half Cup in 30F because it was a past season color, and I already had about ten Fauve half cup bras, padded and unpadded, that fit perfectly. I also knew this satin fabric was silky to the touch and gorgeous, because I already owned the Ruby color.
This does not fit! The cups are decidedly larger than all the other Fauve half cup bras I already had. I later discovered the 30F Fauve Pearl Padded Half Cup also runs big in the cups. But first, let me point out that this blue colorway is noticeably bigger in the ...cups than the Ruby colorway! Argh. The blue Lucia Half Cup Bra is also bigger than these ten Fauve bras in the same 30F size: Evangeline in black, beige, and red Emmanuelle in blue Maya in beige Chloe in teal, blue, and black Veronique in magenta Marla in blue
That's TEN other Fauve half cup bras that fit and this stupid blue Lucia that doesn't.
It is gorgeous, though, and the matching briefs are also gorgeous. Read more 69 more words
