    Didn't fit

Green and black (and silver) are my colors. But this combination is pretty rare to find in bras, so when I do, I am all over it. The Lavinia is a beautiful green and black bra. It also doesn't fit me. *cries*

Probably the most disappointing thing about this bra are its wires. They're hard. Which means that the narrow wires are truly narrow and that the gore will stab me in the chest. All the Fauves I bought before this one had soft wires, so this was rather unpleasant to find.

The cups are also super projected. They run big, in my opinion, because the wires aren't super ... narrow, so it just wants way more volume than I have. The cups are also a little closed on top. They're still quite open, but the lace across the top brings the top edges of the cups in ever so slightly. I think the shape of the cups is typical Fauve half cup- front and center- but since the cups are laughably big on me, it's hard to tell.

The gore isn't very high (about typical for halfcups in this size range), but the hard wires means that it pokes me in the sternum. I bent the wires out to a more comfortable width and bent the gore out. It's now tolerable to wear, but the cups are still a problem.

The straps are...odd. Not very wide at 3/16", but the entirety of the strap is stretchy. It is not, however, fully adjustable. The front half of the strap is covered with lace, so the buckle can't adjust past that point. While I appreciate that the entire strap is stretchy, the straps just barely adjust short enough to fit. It should be an easy fix though- just remove some (or all) of the lace, and boom! More room to adjust.

The band is typical Fauve stretchy, but it does feel decently comfortable on the tightest hook, so it does a little better than other Fauves. Though this might to be due to the hard, narrow wires.

The green lining is a gorgeous spring green. The front takes on a slightly blue tinge in certain lights. The embroidery is pretty smooth, so that the vertical seams are the main issue (not much, really) under shirts. The bow in the center unobtrusive, as are the bows on the straps. I don't find the lace itchy, but if you're sensitive to that kind of stuff, it might be a problem.

I'm going to try sewing darts in the cups at the gore to reduce cup depth. I'll update this review on how it works out.
