PSA: This bra is not my size! I am already in the midst of altering several of my other bra bands that have stretched, and because I couldn't ever find this bra in this color in my size (a 30F), I settled on a distant sister size with the intention of totally reworking the band and where the straps attach. I'm not setting fit because it's too far off, and after alterations how it fits on me won't offer constructive data for the database.
I will say that it is so, so pretty I'm not even sure I can express it ...in words. It is definitely girly, but in a ladylike vintage sort of way that makes me think of petit fours and tea parties. The lace is just right, not too fussy and not too subtle, and since the 30F - Fauve » Coco Padded Half Cup Bra (0251) in Willow has the same lace, I know it doesn't show under clothes. And the shimmer! The satin is so soft, and it really does shine. Also, the adorable rhinestone-and-pearl accented double ribbon bows at the straps and center gore are small and definitely blend in, but are just enough detailing to make the whole thing look perfectly finished and luxurious.
I am totally satisfied with my decision to buy it, and I can't wait til I can wear it! Read more 130 more words
This review is for the 30F green colourway. I bought this bra new for a decent price online along with the 30F - Fauve » Dominique Padded Half Cup Bra (0301) . I searched for this because I think it's so beautiful and unique. There's something about green lingerie that just makes me feel good. There is a soft cream lace overaly on top of a shimmery satin light-green cup. There are tiny green and cream bows on each strap, and on the gore, with little beads. The straps are covered with the same shiny green satin, and there are lace details along the entire band ...of the bra. It looks very well made to me. I usually fit 30F unlined, and 30FF (most). I find this bra fairly deep and narrow, which works for me. I could use a little more depth right next to the underwire, because it does push down out of my IMF, but I don't think it affects the fit or comfort too much. The band fits snugly and isn't too stretchy (less stetchy than the dominique). It is a 4 part half cup, and it's not too tall for my short roots. It brings everything up and centre, and rounds out my shape for a nice profile under a shirt. The seams do show under thin t-shirts, but it's fine under thicker tees and sweaters. The only complaint I have is that the gore is a bit wider and harder at the top than I like, and it causes a bit of soreness by the end of the day, so I may try gently bending this a tiny bit. Other than that, it stays put and feels great on.
EDIT to add: I realized that the wires are not wide on me, but the skin imprint looks a tad wide when I take it off because it's not sitting in my IMF. The wires aren't bothering me anymore after the first wear, so I have not bent them. Read more 229 more words
I bought the bra in a sister size to my usual 28F and altered the band down. Fauve´s 30 bands sometimes fit me (Bronte longline) but othet times they´re just too big. The cups are a very good fit for my shallow boobs, and wide + tall root. In fact, they´re perfect Straps adjust all the way. 2 hooks + eyes.
I also got matching short + brief in size M. They fit me very well, and I usually wear M, so I think they run "true to size".

Oh, I loved this bra. I loved it the first time I tried it on. Shallow-friendly, giving a great shape, great uplift, and so pretty, with so many details. I got it in three different colours, and stashed them away for winter and thicker clothes the embroidery wouldn't show through. Pulled them out today and wondered whether I'd always had that much sideboob in those bras. To my great disappointment, I am listing the lot of them.
Such a gorgeous bra! I generally go for function over beauty in my bras, but I couldn't resist this one. Beautiful lace in a unique pattern over silky green fabric. A unique and elegant style. Its too big on me in this size, with gaping at the top of the cups. I think a 30E would fit perfectly, and I dearly hope I can find one since this bra is discontinued. Even with the size off, the bra is very comfortable, with the wires being the perfect width and firm but not too firm.
This is an absolutely stunning bra that unfortunately runs quite large. I'd say it fits more like a 28FF than a 30E. The band runs tight, as it doesn't have much stretch to it. The quality of this bra is superb, and it's quite luxurious looking. I spent a whole day trying to figure out how I could stuff it enough to make it work. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. The matching panties to this set are also gorgeous, but too big for me sadly. The straps on this are quite thick, but fully adjustable. Like the band, they don't have much stretch. Oh how I wish Fauve was still around!
guys, this bra. this bra! its the most gorgeous thing i have ever put on my body, and even if it fit terribly i would love it forever and never let it go. its BEAUTIFUL. i'd been lusting after the Coco for ages, and im so happy i finally took the plunge! pale green satin, creamy lace, pearls and bows and hnnnggg i want all of them forever! why did fauve have to be discontinued?! im going to be scouring ebay for them, especially the pale pink version.
the fit itself isnt too bad actually, though its not perfect. i bought a 34F, since 34FF ...was out of stock, and im never sure what size i am anymore anyway. i was also pretty sure the cups ran a bit deeper, and since all my fullness is on the bottom anyway, i thought sizing down would at worst make me look more pushed up. it feels like the depth and width of the cups are good, though i would love if the sides were higher and contained more of my tissue. i actually get a little bit of gaping along the top edge, but that happens with nearly every bra, because of the lack of upper fullness. its annoying, and bugs me when i move, but at this point ive been wearing freya halfcups nearly 24/7 and they gape way worse, so i can deal. the gore is a bit too wide, but i run into that everywhere, especially half cups (and again- not nearly as bad as the freyas!). from my cursory try on, the straps dont feel too wide, and they arent a scratchy material. the band is just the tiniest bit snug, but i expected that from fauve and a single hook on the extender is perfect.
all in all, i think i will be keeping this one around! its too pretty for me to want to ruin by wearing to work, but itll hopefully get some use on my free time. and if im lucky, i will collect them all! Read more 238 more words
