Oh Rebecca...I had high hopes for a fitting friendship. But...we’re just not working out. It’s not me, it’s you.
After trying the Rebecca in a 30FF and having cups that were too wide and slightly too big, I have it a go with this 30F. Now the cup is the right width but lacks the projection I need. If I could get these wires in the 30FF I’d be happy. I get a pushed up affect in this bra with the center gore not even close to sitting in the proper spot. But as far as working under a top in need of wider straps I can get by with it. It’s not ideal by any means but when you’re in a pinch this will work. I do get some quad-boob but as the cup relaxes it goes away for the most part due to the forgiving cup fabric. Such a major bummer. I really hoped this was “the one”.

    Didn't fit

I was hoping that the Rebecca would be a good replacement style for a long time everyday bra that I own about 6 of in nude because they work with all my outerwear and are super comfy (Fantasie's Smoothing Balcony Bra - the unpadded one, not the Tshirt bra).

I've been recently fitted into a 28GG for Panache/Cleo but since Fantasie doesn't go down to a 28 I find that I'll end up in a 30G or occasionally 30FF in Fantasie.

Like the Fantasie Smoothing Balcony Bra this is generous in the cup and the 30G was too big. It looks ok in the photos because the fabric is ... thickly padded and shaped and won't wrinkle but my boobs are just hanging in those cups. I don't fill out the sides at all and don't stretch the cup fabric anywhere.

Oh! And that's the best part of this bra - the fabric is nice and padded (no nipple show) but it has a fair bit of stretch in it!

I also found that the bra gives you an unflattering east/west spread - it's a bit minimising from the side view but makes me look matronly from the front.

Hoping this will be less noticeable in a cup size down. I think I'm going to give it another shot in a smaller size simply because it is really comfortable and I haven't found a bra with a bit of padding in it that is as comfortable and as versatile as my everyday Fantasie Smoothing Balcony bra.

  3. Not the most exciting looking bra on me, really. I've got to quit trying fuller cup bras, I feel like they don't do much for my shape. I guess it's about what you're looking for, but all the coverage makes me feel so matronly. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> (And after wearing for a day, the tall cups were really bothering me)

It's comfy, but it can't compare to the Simone Perele spacer bras I've tried - except maybe that the band feels like a truer 30. The foam is a bit thicker than I thought it would be.

Also, after the post where people were saying they prefer lined bras in the summer, I must say that I found this bra much more uncomfy and sweaty than my unlined Cleo Marcie or Lily.

This bra is extremely comfortable all day long. It definitely minimizes the size of my boobs under tops. While the cups are smooth on the outer side, the molding is made of a thin spacer foam and is definitely prone to nipple visibility poking through every so often. The foam also doesn't shape so much, but rather it smooths out whatever your natural shape is (part of the reason why it is so comfortable though). The cups are also very breathable with the foam. I have only had this bra for about four months (actually bought two colors) so far but it hasn't stretched out at all, even with regular wear since it has become my workhorse bra. Most days, this is my go-to bra and for that, it has been perfect.

  5. I'm not sure what to think of this bra...

    Pros:
Spacer fabric is thin, comfortable, stretchy. Breathable: good for summer.
Flexible, rounded cups: nice profile. Good projection/not shallow. Top quite closed: good for short roots.
    Underwire sits nicely in IMF.
Straps are soft, but firm stretch.
Even tension between band and elastic edges.

    Con's:
Spacer fabric will show prominent nipples.
Not the best support: cups tend to collapse above the wire.
Not much to look at. Boring. Definitely NOT 'sexy'!
Gore is both too wide & too tall: sits on my breast tissue (not uncomfortable at the beginning, but painful by the end of the day).
Straps adjust just barely long enough on low-set, but petite frame. Also only partially ... adjustable to shorten.
    Back fat! Little/no side support.
Wings could be taller, but sides of cups rub slightly against Tail of Spence.
This color of 'Nude' is a yellow base, warm tone: not neutral. (Would be fine for warm skin complexion.)

FYI: ordered 32F through Amazon, according to size chart: "32F US/32E UK". Tags shows 32E for both US & UK sizing.
Edit: after many months, I find this one stays in the drawer most of the time. I find the gore is just too tall for me, and even though it's not putting excessive pressure on my sternum I still find it uncomfortable.

What a comfortable, minimalistically cute everyday bra. I'm pleasantly surprised this full-cup doesn't give me quad-boob (my FOT breasts have acted that way with a few full cups). I enjoy the nice detailing at the bottom. I don't have a problem with the wide profile although some people do. A pleasure to wear.

This @Fantasie Rebecca spacer bra is very basic looking; beige with a very thin line of white lace tracing the front half of the straps on the very tall, seamless full-coverage cup tops. The geometric lace also encircles the front of the band. It encourages a tear drop profile & wide, round shape. Because this is a spacer bra, the extremely thin foam cup isn't built for modesty. The underwires are hugely uncomfortable & quite painfully dig into my sternum. I have bent the wires away from my chest but its still far too painful to wear. Part of the problem is that I'm short AND short-waisted so any full-coverage cups will always look ... wonky, too large, or as if I'm playing dress up with my great grandmother's bra. I believe it would be great for tall, shallow, & wide boobs. I know that @Fantasie creates beautiful, quality lingerie; so I really wanted to love this bra but it just didn't work for my shape. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

This is an extremely pretty bra for being a seamless cup and solid color. It makes wearing a day bra feel a little more glamorous. But it's not my favorite (for the several reasons listed below) and I basically use this under my woot tshirts, since the flatter profile and full coverage work a little better for showing off artwork.

This bra cup has extremely soft moulding, which I personally don't like. It puts a lot more weight on my straps, and then I have to wear the back tight enough to get red marks by the end of the day. It gives me a wider profile when viewed from the front, and the side profile is less lifted than I like. I also extremely self conscious about my ridiculous little thermometer nipples showing at work; they show through in this bra unless I'm wearing a thick sweater.

    Didn't fit

After the 70D - Chantelle » Rive Gauche T-back Spacer Bra (3282) had me fallen in love with 'spacer' knit, my quest led me to the 32D - Fantasie » Rebecca (2024) ...

    General comments:

My previous experience with Fantasie wasn't that great: I felt the cups were too deep and the wires too narrow for my shape. However, I recently got a nice set of Fantasie swimwear and a quick in store try-on of a different model suggested not all might be lost. I read in reviews that this model is generally thought of as 'slightly minimising' which should work well for my shape so ... I decided to give it a shot ...

    Bra description:

A simple, yet nice looking bra. The cups are completely plain and made out of moulded spacer knit of a slightly stiffer kind than the Chantelles I've come to love, yet nowhere near as stiff as 'regular' moulded foam. They come up quite high and are quite full coverage. The centre gore is also high, which I actually prefer in a bra. The cradle part of the band and front part of the straps are decorated with lace embroidered in a geometrical pattern, giving this otherwise plain bra a feminine yet modern touch. Small, 'straight' bows decorate the centre gore and the points where the cups connect to the straps. The wing parts of the band are made out of a completely opaque stretch material that looks a bit like swimwear lycra, but is much much firmer. The back closes with three sets of two hooks and eyes.

    Bra fit:

Unfortunately this bra doesn't fit me. It almost fits my larger breast, but it is laughably big on my smaller breast. The cups of this model are clearly meant for someone with rounder, fuller breasts than I have. My breasts are conical and slightly shallow and just don't fill them out the way they should, especially towards the top. The wires are *spot on* which means I'd actually like them a touch wider as I'm oddly enough just not comfortable in wires that sit this close to my breast tissue.

The band on this bra is slightly odd on me. It feels firm enough (although I can easily close it at the tightest hooks, but as I can do this with all the bras I consider comfortable fits that doesn't really say anything), but no matter what I do to the straps, it keeps angling upwards. It's not the same as a band 'riding up' -- it's the shape and design of the band that makes it LOOK as if it's riding up on me. My conclusion is that this band is designed with a slightly 'straighter' or simply less conical torso in mind. My torso is very very conical and I have this same problem in a number of bras, including the 30DD - Masquerade » Rhea (6121) that I love. It makes the band feel weird and uncomfortable and somewhat throws off the fit of the entire bra.

    Conclusions:

A nice, simple everyday bra that I really really wish would fit me. Alas, as it doesn't even come close to fitting it will be returned to Bravissimo ASAP.

    • I have a similar issue with this bra, I think the trim is just a scratchy/stiff fabric and will poke against any skin that comes into contact with it. From your side photo it did look like the band was riding up a bit in the back, but I think changing your band size would make the rubbing worse.
