    Hasn't set fit

So, the first package of my Black Friday shopping spree has arrived! I'm impressed with the fast delivery, it was already available for picking up on Thursday.

A personal rant that I have is against black bras with white/very light coloured trims - they'll get worn under black clothes, and washed with black clothes. So it'll take at most a few weeks for all those pretty white ribbons to turn to a dirty gray and make the bra look dirty even when clean, and older than it is. For this one, it took exactly one day..

This top is very comfortable, it smooshes everything in the front. I'd say ... the band runs tts to tight-ish, hard to tell if the cups run small-ish. I have the same size in the CHP and it fits well, even with the asymmetry pads in. However, EM sizing for me is quite all over the place, needing different sizes in different cuts (in the unpadded bras I tried I would have needed a good few sizes up).

What I particularly like is that everything is completely brought to the front of the body, which leaves my arms particularly free to move about. There isn't even an underwire to interfere! And it provides a nice shape and quite a bit of lift.

As a downside, the long row of hooks and eyes in the front is visible under clothing, and it takes a while to get them all hooked. Also, the straps are quite short - for me they're ok, but I have them loosened almost to the maximum.

But overall, it's a good wireless option.

    • I think its intended to be a sleep bra

    • Your review compels me to purchase a sleep top....in a different fabric ;-) It is frustrating how colors bleed.

    • 1

Yes, you're right dbmamaz, it's meant to be a sleep top! Tbh, I would size up if it's meant for sleeping. I impulse bought it more to try something comfortable and wireless mostly for lounging around the house, but I think it also works for outside :)
Just to note, the colours of the bra itself don't bleed, it seems to be good quality. I just wore it under a black t-shirt and the colour from the tshirt left some black marks on the bra.. I don't know if it's just me unlucky, but it happens often with my black clothes :/

    • Do you recommend getting this in your unpadded or padded size?

    • I'm sorry, I don't really know how it compares to unpadded EM bras because none of the them work for me.. Regarding padded, I only have the CHP for comparison - both in size 38GG and the CHP runs a bit larger (but then again, the CHP is known to run larger). Compared to other UK bras, my usual size is 36GG. I would recommend sizing up, especially if you want to use it for sleeping and want a more comfortable fit. However, being wireless makes the sizing a bit more flexible.

    65KK

    Fits

    Top Nina 65KK
I needed to get a new sleep top since my breasts have outgrown my older ones. I ordered this from MagdaBras4you who is absolutely awesome! This is Ewa’s cheapest sleep bra, and the one with the least amount of pink, which is why I opted for it. I have it previously in a 65K, reviewed separately.

All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 24.5” and stretches to a max of ... 31”. It has 15 hooks and 1 row of eye loops, located in the front.

Cup Depth is trickier in this since there are no wires and no breast separation, but I did my best to give you a general idea, so here it is as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 10.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 11.5”

There is no depth field in the database for this type of wireless bra, so neither figure is entered into the db.

The cup width as measured from the hook set edge to the side seam is 9” straight across. The height at the center of the cup is 11”, and the wing is 7.25” with the gore being 9.75” tall. The straps are narrow at 0.63”.

To compare, the 65K has 1 less hook at 14, cup height of 10.5”, wing 6.75” with a 9” gore, and a depth of 9-11”. The band was 23.5” to 31.5” before I shortened it. The 65K had the back double lined and this one does not, so I imagine this 65KK won’t be as supportive feeling or hold everything in place as well.

    As for fit,
I will need to shorten the band, and lower the armpit curve to get it out of my armpit, but aside from that the fit is good.

is the material on this nice and soft?

    • 1

That does look good. Still don't understand why 60 bands aren't possible with this.

    • 1

Wilderness1 The materials feel like Ewa's half lace BMs so I would say yes, they feel soft to me.

@Sovavosi Kaśka said it's due to them not having the patterns for the 60 bands....

    • 1

Cut 2" out of the back? o.o

    • 1

MamaPagan so it's not a cotton then? For some reason I always thought it was cotton! It's lace?

    • 2

Wilderness1 It's like the nylon on the bottom half of the half lace BMs, so they feel soft and silky. No lace aside from the trim, but no cotton. I prefer cotton myself, so that would be nice. 😍

@Sovavosi. Kaśka said there were a lot of complaints with the larger cups about the sleep tops, so they didn't want to expand to the 60 bands. She strongly suggested I wait for Zamaste since it is designed to be more book friendly.

I washed this one and decided to wear it tonight without alterations. The band doesn't feel bad, neither does the armpit area so I may just leave it as it is. It feels far better than the 65K did. I wouldn't use it as a day bra, but for lounging or sleeping it's fine. Plus it is easier to get on than thr Decent Exposures ones. :-D

    • Edit: big boob friendly (not book, haha. )

    • 1

Hmm maybe I’d try this for sleeping in a 65 then.

    • 1

Sovavosi You might like it. It has it's perks, like not having to spend 10 minutes trying to get into it, though doing up the hooks take a bit longer to connect than a regular bra, haha. I do hope the Zamaste gets released soon as I would love to try it.

      Did your DE bras ship?

    • 1

Yep, today. I don’t have issues getting the DE over my head... it just gets stuck on my hair 😨

    • Woohoo for the shipping! Hopefully they will arrive quickly. Over the head yes, but the band to stretch around your boobs? Isn't that a bit of a struggle? (And ouch to the hair. 😬)

    • 1

Nope, my boobs only stick out in narrow wires bras. Splayed armpit boob FTW?

    • Okay, so you loop one boob at a time around the band to get them into the DE cups?

    • 1

No, I just pull it down and around both. My upper pole is completely flat, I just rest it there and pull it out/down.

    • Oh, okay. I have to pull them up over my rump and that is a chore, but a smaller perimeter than my bust by several inches, but it's comfortable once on. Maybe I should go with a 28 band for them next time for ease of entry. :-\

    • 1

28 stretched to about 32” I think? It stretched a lot more than I thought it would. No shoulders out of sockets.

    • 32"? Oh wow. The 26 measured 16" and only stretched to 27". Obviously my rump maneuvers are getting it further than that but it is not an easy task that's for sure. I thought about their front closure bras, but then it wouldn't have the looper so less separation, right? Then again this Ewa one lacks separation, so that's where my sternum bras come into play. (Sorry. Thinking out loud. 😄)

    • 1

I am glad that the parcel arrived. :) You look perfect in it!

    Didn't fit

As recently I started doing my dissertation, I decided to invest some money in non wired bras. Ive seen this one while looking for reviews.
I am so dissappointed as this 65F fits more than a size smaller https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />(((((((((
The band feels great on my 73cm underbust - it is very comfy and not tight as I was expecting - so perfect match for sleeping top but for somone with more than 70cm ub. The front is made of two layers of nice and soft fabric that dont stretch. There is 10 hooks to close - yup, best is to start from bottom! ... It makes boobs to be squeezed to the middle but its not uncomfortable! you cant even feel that! The back is made of two mesh fabrics with the top one featuring dots
The strap set is good - im happy with them as arent too wide. However the length, it wont fit someone who needs long straps.
The bra overall is lovely but as I mentioned it runs so small, my boobs are trying to escape from the top, Id suggest it for someone who wears 70C/D or 65DD/E

    • I'm so grateful for this review! I was planning on buying the same size and would've been so sad. Now I'm confused about the sizing though :/ if I wear UK 28F, what size do you think might fit me?

    • well, persian_kitty , Id suggest you go with your usual band size (but I guess its only on special request), depends how much you have underbust - also as a special request it may turn up (out? - whatever:D ) that it will be tighter - but all 65s that I've read about they're quite loose as it is sleeping bra and it cant be too tight while sleeping.
Regarding the cups, I was hoping they will run tiny bit smaller but not that much - so I dont know if its an error or is just how this bra is made .. Im going to ask them actually!

    • also ive just had a look on the band and it seems like it will be very simple to make it smaller with sewing machine :)

    • Yes please do contact them! I was wondering that as well. I may order a 65 band for comfort then. Thanks :)

    Didn't fit

I was disappointed by Ewa Michalak's first attempt at a wireless bra. I'm comparing it to Kiss Me Deadly's wireless bras that also have exclusively vertical seams.

The rounder profile of the latter is almost as good as the profile I get from my wired bras. The Ewa bra seems like it has too much fabric for what it's doing. This may not be the case for people who don't have perky boobs. The band in my 65F - Ewa Michalak » Top Nina is what you would expect from a 30 band. It's not tight for an Ewa Michalak 65 (UK 30) ... band, but it's tight enough for me.

I find that the profile in the EM is somewhat flattened. The texture is bumpy because the ribbon covering the vertical seams is too thick and stiff. The ribbon is sewn to the softer materials at the wrong tension or something. The stiffer ribbon bunches up when worn. It drags the softer materials with it. Kiss Me Deadly wireless bras handle their vertical seams much more delicately.

My 65F Top Nina has 8 hooks and eyes. Getting it on takes a lot of effort for not much shaping. My boobs look better out of this bra than in it!

I should add that I am not in urgent need of boob support when I sleep, given my breast shape and texture (firm and perky). I think the Top Nina will be worth its price to those who appreciate the lifting action of this relatively strong wireless.

    This is... an interesting one.

The Nina Sleep Top has about a million (I counted, that's definitely the right number) hooks on the front. It gives you no separation at all, which is arguably fine for what it's trying to do, but the support is about as firm as I've had from most sports bras I've owned. (Wired compression sports bras, not the loosey-goosey sports bras of my tweens.)

This is my usual Ewa size -- at least in BMs and SMs; the SF I own feels a bit big in this size, and I've never found a padded Ewa that agreed with me at all -- but it's definitely a bit small, if not necessarily in a problematic way for the purpose it was purchased for.

I wouldn't really recommend this as a lounge bra -- the numerous hooks and intense support don't particularly scream "comfort" or "laziness" to me -- but it does well as a sleep bra for sleeping on one's back, even if it isn't one I want to wear every single night.

I had been looking for a wireless bra to wear for lounging around the house. It's difficult to find wireless bras in a smaller band/large cup. What I did find in a 32 band was so unflattering, I couldn't stand the sight of myself in a mirror. I was intrigued by this Sleep Top since it's completely different from any other wireless bra I've seen.

I found this bra to be very comfortable. The front part of the bra is opaque, and the back is a fairly sturdy, yet comfort mesh. The 3 vertical seams are a pale pink, as is the front clasp area and the lacy ... embellishment. I think the lace is a bit of girly overkill, but it's not a big deal. The back of the bra is fairly tall for comfort and support. It hooks in the front and there is only 1 column of hooks, so there won't be any way to get a tighter fit when it stretches, unless you are good with a sewing machine, which I am not.

I wear a 70 band (UK 32) in my other EM bras, and I found this band to be a decent fit for the bra's purpose - not very snug, but it does give sufficient support. I did get some quadding that isn't really evident in my pictures, but it's not too bad and I worry that going up a cup size would compromise some of the support. I have tall roots though, so someone with average roots would be fine. The shape is pretty rounded, which is way better than any other wireless bra I've tried. Plus, it's not making my boobs sweaty (well, maybe a litlittle in the cleavage area, but not underneath). Bonus: unhooking the first 5 or 6 hooks did not really compromise support, but gives fantastic cleavage, which my husband appreciates!

Hooking it up can be difficult, but I found that hooking the first 4 or 5 hooks around my waist, then putting my arms in the straps and pulling the bra up to fasten the rest of the hooks is the best way for me to do it.

I wish EM would make this in a lighter color too. As of now, this is the only color available

I love the ninas, I have 3 in various sizes. I think they run very true to bra size, possibly slightly small. They are perfect for me because I am very high set and short rooted, and the bottom can just roll up so my boobs are in the proper area (Usually this means forcing underwires into my armpits). I've worn these extensively, and occasionally in lieu of real bras, and I think they stop side-side movement, but not so much top-bottom. I wish ewa would make a sports bra like this, it would kick the enells ass.

I love this thing! I don't use it as a sleep top, but it's perfect for those lazy days at home when I don't feel like wearing an underwire bra, but don't want to go braless either.

My usual EM size is 65G/70FF (in padded) and 65FF/70F in the unlined styles, and I thought I'd try this in 65G, and it's perfect! At first it looked like it might even be too small, but once I got it hooked (it hooks in the front) it was perfect, and made me feel so supported, something I can never achieve in a typical bralette. It does squash the breasts a bit, but there is no overflowing or any sort of jiggle when wearing this top, it gives a nice round shape, and prevents the breast from just hanging there.

This bra was absolutely the most comfortable lounging bra. It doesn't offer the support I would need to wear it out or to replace a bra, but it did add a lot of comfort for when I was at home and relaxing.

Love this thing, wish they'd reissue it. This is one cup size too small for me but still a favorite. Comfortable, looks good, not really an under clothes bra but it would be if the world was just. This is what we'd be wearing if men didn't exist.
