    Fits

Edit: I just want to update after having it for a few weeks and wearing it a few times. I didn't think this bra would work well for me at first, but I've finally had my "angel's singing" EM moment. This bra is extremely comfy and the straps don't bother me near as much as other bras I own do. I made it through a 2 hour bus trip with this bra and the wires didn't bug me at all. In fact, I love this bra and style so much I ordered another S style because of how comfy this bra is and the great shape it gives. ... That's how much I've come to love it.
Oh Syrena, how I so wanted to love you. I think this review might run a little long, since I want to compare this size and the next one up (just fyi). I originally tried this bra in a 65G, which almost worked and would have been totally passable if it weren't for the long stabby wires of doom it possessed. Yes, I had a minor bit of gapping but that wasn't noticeable under shirts. I decided to sell that size and move down to the next one to see if it would fix both the wires and gapping. It did, but not without other issues. First appearances are the same: this bra is gorgeous. Second appearance: holy crap this is shallow and wide. I was hoping for narrower wires because 5.4 (original 65G) is too wide for me but this bra is JUST AS WIDE. It's a size smaller and it's 5.5 inches wide! It makes the bra shallower and I'm really disappointed because I was finally hoping to have a bra with wires as narrow as my roots. Onwards. The straps seem stretchier than the 65G, although I do not have the other size to compare to. They are similarly difficult to adjust but they are set at a more comfortable width. There's almost no immediate projection so I have a little wrinkle. The gore is the same height but in this size seems too low. The cups are deep enough for me without the pads, but I don't like the wrinkle I get in the bottom of the cups so I use the pads to fix that which then makes the bra a teensy smidge small. I can deal with that. The wires seem short enough at about 9 inches and I doubt that these ones will pose an issue. The band is, again an issue and almost too tight. I have no idea why I didn't size up in band and down in cup for this bra (that would have made too much sense, I guess). I think that's it about the technical side of things. I do like the design of this bra and I am keeping it, I just wish I could have figured out how to make it work better. I think that this size would be a winner if it had more immediate projection which I think is the reason I quad ever so slightly with the pads in. It does feel comfy but not very secure, like if I go down the stairs too fast my boobs are going to escape. About the pictures: yes, I am aware that I have those little bulges on the side. I scoop and swoop them in but they don't stay. They stay in the cup in the 65G (I think because of the tall wires) but that wasn't a reason to keep the bra alone. I have no idea why they won't cooperate. Doesn't mean the cup is too small, the next size up is a smidge too big. I am also aware that my problem child right breast gaps a little. I was just too lazy to take the bra off and shorten the strap. These issues won't stop me from ordering more from EM. I feel like I've figured out what size works best for me and now I just need to try all the styles.
Edit: Almost forgot to add that the gore overlaps, making it very narrow.

This is what I experienced, too. My shorties could not fit near the wire which resulted in zero lift. However, I had better results in 65G with a friend's CHP and PL. I don't know if I will attempt another S because of this 65G S Syrena. :-(

    • 1

I do love the S style and I hate to realize this but I don't think it's quite the right style for me. Totally passable decent fit, but not the 'angels singing, light from above, transcendental bra experience' I was expecting from Ewa Michalak. Oh well, that's just another excuse to buy more, right? For science

    • 2

I am just so tired of her wide set straps which cut into my underarms. What is with all thes super wide set straps? So many women complain about this, yet they never listen. I have given up on Ewa. I am going to try Commexim.

    • 1

My Comexim Yoko is actually I think a little more wide set. I do like what Comexim has to offer and the lower prices/greater comfort but their designs just don't pull me in like Ewa's do. I know it's silly to sacrifice a perfect fit for aesthetics but I've yet to see a Comexim I absolutely need. What I do like most about Comexim is the fact that you can custom so many things, like strap width.

    • I order all Comexim with straps moved in. However, the one Comexim with standard straps is significantly more narrow than my Ewa Michalak. I so wish she would entertain customizations.

**ALL PICTURES WERE TAKEN WITH PADS IN**
This bra is so much more beautiful in person than online-if that's possible to believe! This bra is gorgeous. The navy and dark green really work well together. However, I think I overshot my size. While the measurements all point to this being a perfect fit, it was a little gappy at the top without the pads in (which is why I took pictures with the pads in). I think maybe a size down would be better, but then I think it would be too narrow-but let's start at the beginning! This bra is seriously beautiful. My first impression was how solid ... it seemed. The construction is pretty neat and looks built to last. The attention to detail is incredible. I like that the ribbons on the seams of the cups are two different colours. The only thing I would change would be the placement of the eyelash lace. I think it would be more striking if the eyelashy bits stuck over the cup like they do in the other shape. The band is a plain navy with ribbons on the side seam and little scallopy green trim on the bottom and a ribbon ruffled down the front of the straps. The bows on this bra are awesome. The magenta really pops and I love how big the one on the gore is. The straps don't pose a problem width wise and I'm pretty short. However, they are super difficult to adjust, even though it says fully adjustable. The front of the straps has really pretty ribbon detailing but it was causing problems getting over that seam. My solution? The rat-tail end of a rat-tail comb-just wiggle it into the loop in the adjuster and slowly ease it out. I had no problems after that. I can adjust the straps short enough (I'm 4'8") which is always nice, but I think I need to go a smidge shorter. They are very wide and super comfy and plush. I doubt this will pose a problem. Width wise, this bra seems perfect, although it's the same width as some of my bras that feel too wide. They're nice and short and don't poke me in the arm pits like some I have. The cups...the cups are weird. The sizing is weird. It's 9.5 inches (without pads), which should be a pretty good depth for me, even verging on small. However, they gap without the pads in! It's not like I don't have the breast to fill it (I have breast tissue up to my collar bone and I think a pretty even shape). Despite this quandary, if I keep the pads in and really scoop and shuffle and adjust the straps pretty short, it's a nice fit with minor gapping at the top. I think the gapping at the top is simply due to shape and how thick the cup is. The shape it gives is...not quite rounded, not quite natural, maybe a little east-west? Whatever it is, I like it, and I normally love a more natural shape like the kind an unlined Freya gives. It's very perky and young. The wires are a very firm tack and feel super supportive. The gore doesn't poke at all and it's super comfortable. The band is super tight at 28.5 inches and it barely works for me. The band is the one thing I would change. Give me just .5 more inches of stretch and 3 hooks instead of 2 (on a G cup, really?) and I'd love it. There are are 4 rows of hooks which is nice. I also ordered the thong for this model and holy crap guys, don't let the stock photo fool you. It is SHEER. Very sheer. I think it runs true to size. It's not a snug fit on me but it's not too loose. It's beautiful though. I tried to take photos of it (in my darkish room with an ipod) but I'll see if I can take better photos when the sun is out. It has 3 bows, two baby ones in the front and then a giant one in the back. It's got a little frill at the top of the band and the eyelash lace on the sides. The back/sides of the thong has the same frilly scallopy bits the bottom of the band does and the crotch area has the strap detailing on it. It feels like a very cohesive set and I feel like an absolute princess in it. Although I think it's maybe a size big, I have no plans to return it because it's wearable and I bought it for a special occasion in a week so I have no time to go through an exchange. This is a very comfortable beautiful bra and I'm so glad I bought it. And next time (because there will definitely be a next time) I'll get the same style in the next size down and compare!

**EDIT** I shortened the straps even more and there's absolutely no gapping. I can still easily fit a finger or two under them so they aren't tight. They are now the perfect length and the best part is the cleavage! I never thought it would be possible for me to get that much cleavage in a bra that fits as perfect as this one does now. The last picture is the bra with the straps adjusted as tight as comfortable.

**EDIT TWO** Since shortening the straps (see addendum above) I can wear the bra without the pads. However, it causes slight gapping on my smaller right side and I love the cleavage they give me so although I can wear it without the pads I choose to wear it with.

      Beautiful!!

    • 1

Beautiful! It's so hard with ewas bras sometimes cuz they are handmade and there will always be discrepancies with sizing because of it.
      It's so stunning though!

    • It really is. I think the problem with the sizing I had was in my haste to try it on, I hadn't quite figured out the optimal strap adjustment. I just added a picture showing even shorter straps and extra careful scooping and shuffling and now that I've figured it out I even get cleavage! I normally don't get cleavage, at least not this obvious. It's usually very subtle so it's nice to have variety.

    • curious why you went up to a G when most of your listed bras are Fs or DDs? Usually ppl only go up one size from their UK size? I really do wonder if it would fit better down a size. OTOH, I mound out of the top of my Ss, and you dont have much room to go up - it would be up to your collar bone!

    • All the dds and one F (not the Freya one) do not fit, despite what the pictures say. I'm trying to figure out my correct size. I was going off of the Freya which has a cup depth of a little less than 10 inches (off the top of my head). It is the only bra I have listed besides this one that I would call a perfect fit so I've been using it to figure out sizing. While the difference between my overbust and preferred band size is 7 inches, I found the F cup I tried to be too small (okay, way too small) and based on measurements users have submitted I have deduced that an FF or a G would work best, provided that they have a cup depth between 9.5 and 10 inches. This bra, with pads in and after I've adjusted, is actually a perfect fit. Since I've shortened the straps even more, I have no gaping. I could probably get away with a size down but I think with the pads it would be a tight fit and might be a touch too narrow.

    • Apparently I can't edit. I should have added that I'm not adjusting the straps just to make the cups fit, I'm just extremely extremely short with boobs all the way up so I need very very very short straps or I feel gappy and wiggly and unsupported.

  3. This is my third Syrena (yeah, it’s one of those designs I like so much that I keep buying when my size changes) and, I think, my third attempt at S. After a little restoration project on the tired out band, this one fits me pretty well. I’m glad I gave S another chance; it opens up my Ewa options a lot.

I get lots of forward projection and great shape from this bra, especially with the (30F sized) cookies. The only real problem is the lace and seams do show up under thin shirts, but I’m used to that at this point.

UK 28FF/G. My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full.
Pretty bra but too big and wide. The band was a true 30 so I sewed it and I put in cookies to see if that would help, but I still was gaping at the top. Very full on top bra. The straps were also too wide set.

This is the mermaid bra of my dreams! I haven’t bought an S bra from Ewa in a couple years, and now I’m pregnant, but I was worried the cups would be too big in a larger size. I used to wear an 85GG in the S style, but I went up to a 90GG, and it’s perfect! I always do an alteration on balconette bras because I have a short torso, and the sides come up too far into my armpits. After I did that alteration, there are no issues at all with the bra. I won’t spend over $30 on any other bra except this brand, because the shape is unlike any other, and it gives me a confidence boost whenever I wear it. A+

I love the color and materials on this bra. The inside liner is cotton and a lot softer on me than the CHP Noir, which just has the foam. I am still trying to experiment with which EM bras will work for my shape, semi-conical with a shallow upper portion. As expected, it’s too tall for my shape. There’s a good inch or so where my breast doesn’t meet the top. The bottom of the bra is completely filled out and if I place the cookie in, the bra becomes painfully too small on my larger side. However, the top gap does fold down and under a shirt you can’t tell that there is a gap. It's still worth keeping despite the tall cups.

Edit: after washing the bra, the top gap is less immediately noticeable. The gore is also not tacking, if I press on it then the top gap closes up.

    75GG

    Fits

MY SHAPE: Narrow, projected, short roots, close set, center full, even fullness (not FOT or FOB)

FIT: Pretty good fit! The S bras give a reliable centered and uplifted look, but with my super short torso they feel a bit like boob armor. The cups on this one, like my 75GG - Ewa Michalak » S Glamour (813) , come up just a smidge too tall for my short roots and gap a bit. As usual with the S bras, I need to use a cookie on my smaller side to even things out. I got this particular bra in "new with tags" condition from a Facebook ... swap group, but if I were going to order it from a retailer I might go down a cup size because the cups seem a bit tall. I've actually noticed this in a few of my S bras, it's all the ones that have the ribbon covering the seam at the top of the cup. My 75GG - Ewa Michalak » S Summer Time and 75GG - Ewa Michalak » S Diament (582) don't have this issue, but the Glamour totally does. Like all my other S bras, this one seems to be a little big in the band; I could immediately fasten on the 2nd set of hooks. These are much looser than my SF bras from Ewa.

APPEARANCE/QUALITY: This bra is GORGEOUS. Very mermaid-y. That's the entire reason I wanted it. I have dark bras everywhere, I didn't NEED a navy/green bra with purple bows, but this one spoke to me! My only issue is that the eyelash lace at the top of the cup really wants to fold down; I have a hard time getting it to stay put throughout the day and it creates a lump when it flops over. Otherwise it's all great.

OVERALL: Beautiful bra that I don't reach for as often as I want to because the cups are a little too tall. Best for days when I'm a bit larger than usual.

With my last Ewa order all being slightly too small in the cup, and another order currently being made (Spring Line!!!), I wanted to order a S cut that was a bigger size to make sure that my new bras would actually fit me properly. So, when I ordered my Annika from Zathiya, I tacked this bra on for free shipping. Boy am I glad I did.
I first saw this bra in all it's glory on littlecupbigcup's bra review of the S versus M cut. It's such a pretty blue/green bra, makes me think it's meant to be a mermaid bra. And boy, do I love mermaid stuff, ... just ask my 30+ pairs of little mermaid socks that I rotate. The dark blue lace overlay is great for the majority of the cup, but at the top of the cup it isn't stitched down so it sticks up or wrinkles oddly. That's a small price to pay, since I can't notice it through my shirt.
The wires are a tad too wide for me in the bigger cup, but as I've said before I'd rather too wide than too narrow wires. The biggest problem I have come across with the S cups (for me personally that is) is that the bottom of the gore will cut into my stomach. I currently have some tegaderm over a scabbed area that my colette caused, though I'm not 100% sure what fit issue caused it. Possibly being too small in the cups combined with that little lace detailing that is at the bottom of the band was enough to cut me when I bend/twist/stretch, but I am going to test that with this bra at work at some point over the next week.
I currently have it on, but since this is my weekend I won't be doing anything as physically strenuous as I normally would be at work.

dbmamaz i could use to order a 70HH for that time of the month probably. I'm also pretty soft, and I do like the S cuts but prefer the Chps. It's such a gorgeous bra that if they made it into a half cup id definitely buy it

What a beautiful bra! The color combination of the blue and green matches great. The quality is excellent, just like all my EM bras. This bra is incredibly comfortable, gore sits against chest, fits like a true 65G. Some reviews say the band is firm, but I don't find this to be the case at all. I could wear this bra all day long!
