A lovely, lovely bra in a heather purple color. Up to this point I'd only ever tried British padded bras, and have never encountered one that fit like this one does: narrow wires, room for immediate projection, a firm band, and a low gore which tacks perfectly. The only downside is the fact that the straps are only halfway adjustable; they're a little stretchy for my preference, too.
This bra is beautiful and gives a great round, projected shape. I think this might be the first EM bra I've tried that's actually fit me - and I am impressed. But, even though it fits me, I feel too uncontained in it - like my boobs might come flying out any moment and whack me in the face. This is probably a direct result of wearing primarily sports bras (Panache sport FTW!) recently - anything less than close to full coverage doesn't feel like enough. Also, if I drop the straps from my shoulders, my breast DO splay down. The cups themselves aren't molded enough to hold ...my breasts in any sort of shape without assistance from the straps. That probably wouldn't be a problem if the straps weren't pretty, thin, and dainty - but they are. So I just don't feel totally comfortable in this bra. I've kept it for so long primarily because it's the exact color of a Biu Biu shirt I bought which has tank top straps that don't sit over typical bra straps - and this bra works perfectly underneath it. This is my first Ewa Michalak bra. It is a beautiful bra and made well with beautiful fabrics. It is also a very comfortable bra, soft to touch and a near perfect fit. I have a teensy bit of room in the cup and if the shoulder straps were fully adjustable I think the gap would be eliminated. The band is imo a little big or stretchy, I have to wear it on the 3rd hook to keep it from riding up. The wires are the perfect width and height for me, which I've struggled finding on my bra hunt. It gives great lift and amazing cleavage with the push up pads. Overall I am very impressed with this bra. I will definitely get a 65 band next time and make sure the shoulder straps are fully adjustable.
After trying this bra on again it is just too loose in the band.
PL cut bras used to run quite small in band and cup, and maybe some of them still do, but this one sure doesn't! I have an older PL (PL Karmelki) in 65F that is much too small in the band but the right size in the cup, so I ordered the sister size of 70E in this bra. Both the band and cup in this bra are true to size to other EM bras, so I'll get a 70DD (my usual EM size) when I reorder. The bra is a little darker in color than I expected, and the fabric is not as silky smooth as other bras but it's still nice. The straps are covered in the front and thus only partly adjustable. I do wish they had used the lace in the back band as well, not just the sides. It's just as comfy as my other PL bras, I love the slightly more flexible wires and low gore.
This is my third PL bra from EM and I have the impression that the construction is different in this one, in better I think.
I went for a 70 band as the PLs are tighter than other cuts and I was told on EM facebook page that PL Wrzos falls in with this tendency. It is a tight 70 band indeed, but it’s a little looser than my Stalowka or Bikini top. I need to fasten it on the 2nd hook or even the 3rd (of 4) at the end of the day (my ribcage perimeter tends to diminish during the day). 65e could be better, but only ...with an extender and as EM bands don’t stretch out, I prefer to keep this comfortable 70dd. I’m also convinced that the band fit in PL bras is crucial. When it’s too tight, it affects the shape by flattening the cups and stretching the underwires. I think that this “not too tight” band in my PL Wrzos gives a nice projection and cleavage (I actually rarely get such a cleavage). In terms of fit, I totally agree with this review http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dl4qs/
I put a picture of my back to show you how wide the straps are! It’s quite unusual for this size and particularly this brand, they’re as wide as in 30e Freyas which I adore. They seem a little longer than usual, they are almost fully shortened.
The design of this bra is beautiful in its simplicity. For me, what’s making Wrzos beautiful is the colour (I thought it would be lighter though) completed with such details as the lace on the front part of the band and the little bow at the center gore. The fabric is rougher than I would expect but it doesn’t affect the comfort of wear.
