I just got this bra today and it is amazing. It has great styling and on top of that the fabric is super soft. I got this from another Bratabase user and it came with 2 pairs of panties 1 brief (36) 1 thong (34). Everything fits great and these are my first panties from EM and they fit great and seem to be very high quality as well, this has made me want matching panties for my other EM's even more now. The bra does only have half adjustable straps, they only present a bit of an issue if I wear the bra without the cookies, otherwise it isn't a problem, although I haven't had the bra on very long. I will add measurements tonight since I don't want to take the bra off.
On paper, this doesn't fit. The band is much too big for me, the wires are too wide, and the straps don't adjust short enough. Without the pads, my breasts fit in the cups and are well supported, but the shape is meh. With the pads though, I get some awesome Y-shaped cleavage, verging on buttcrack, and my breasts look big. It's fun! It's not typically a look I go for. I'm fairly conservative in my dress and am more a bare leg lady than a breast shower, but sometimes I like to go out with my husband and I like to take the girls out. I don't have ...many really low cut tops, but the ones that I do have now have the perfect bra to go with them. Oh, under a unbuttoned oxford shirt? That's hot.
Anyway, I sewed through the elastic so the band no longer stretches and I can fasten it on the loosest set of eyes. I'll have to shorten the straps as well, but I was too lazy to do it when I did the band. It's okay for now, they're not terribly stretchy and I think the previous owner only wore it twice (if at all, it still smells new, like Ewa's shop).
The material is soft and thick. Heavy feeling, sort of like a really good swimsuit, or maybe a cheap wetsuit. It's comfortable to wear for sure. I really love the menswear pinstripes, the shiney buttons, and the giant girly bows. This set came out at the same time as the Prohibicja. Both have that sort of gangster suit vibe and I'm really happy to have both. The wires measure about 5.5 inches, making this about .5" wider than I like. The wires also come up pretty high on the sides. They don't poke, and they don't chafe, but this bra doesn't disappear like my HPs and Comexims do either. I'm aware, all day, that I'm wearing a bra.
My pictures aren't with the pads, I should add some because their addition drastically changes the whole front on look, it's really incredible considering they're so thin. I'm also really impressed with the PLs ability to contain my soft, center-full, tissue. The only other PL I tried was the 70DD - Ewa Michalak » Pl Czarny Kropek (94) and it's a totally different look and shape. I also didn't trust that corset gore. This one I do. I wore it to my daughter's school (under a sweater, no cleavage at school) for a community thing and I didn't fall out or have to adjust after bending, jumping, shaking, whatever (it's an expedition school, so everything is really hands on and active).
I already had two pairs of bottoms. They were in the outlet when I bought my Prohibicja, so I grabbed the briefs (36) and the thong (34). Being different sizes, they fit pretty much the same. It's not unusual for me to be able to size down in thongs though since my hip measurement is mostly my bum and not, in fact, my hips. I'd love to get my hands on the high-waisted briefs that went with this set though. I think it's be a great look and quite frankly I think Charlie would make an excellent swimsuit. I bet I could attach ties to hide the hook and eyes and it's be very Bond girl. Something to think about.
Me: very soft tissue; Measurements: UB 68/72 cm (26.5/28.5"), Bust 87/92 (34/36.5")
What a difference going up a band size in this style makes! I am literally right between Ewa band sizes (tight UB 67 cm, loose UB 72 cm) and sometimes 65s feel too tight and sometimes 70s feel too loose. However, I decided to try a 70 in this style because have been noticing that the wires in the PL and 3D styles are more flexible and that the tighter 65 bands were pulling the cups too flat (and therefore affecting the fit).
And it looks like I was right, because I ...get a much better shape in this size. Not only is the projection better, but the cups are closer together which gives me actual cleavage. And I never have cleavage! The top edge on this plunge is a little more closed than others I have seen. This is a positive for me actually - it feels a little more secure and I have less jiggle. This fabric feels quite stretchy - I am happy with it (there are four hooks after all), but some people may want to size down.
The fabric is very soft and smooth and has a bit of shine to it - some people will like it and some won't. Personally, I do. The pinstripes, buttons and oversized bow all go together in a way that I find very appealing. There are a couple of loose threads here and there, but easily trimmed off.
All in all, I am happy with it. I'm glad I decided to try out another PL. Read more 172 more words
This bra is beautiful! EM calculator put me at a 75 JJ. I sister sized down to 70 K. I also shed 11 lbs in the month it took to receive it. Lost about an inch off my bust. None underbust. I fill the bottom of the cups but the top of the bra gapes quite a bit. If I pinch the top there is almost 2 inches in loose fabric. I do have soft tissue so that is also a factor.
Strap are a little wide set and come cups seem a bit high up under my ...arms. Not as much as the 65KK. Could be I am not used to this kind strap design. Underwires are the most comfy ever! I have worn a soft bra for the past 3 or 4 years due to wide wires that hurt too much to bear.
The band was snug not overly so. Expected it to be tighter. With the way it stretched measuring band it could be that it will stretch out more than I would want as it ages.
Gore tacked. A first for me. No pain from Gore at all.
I did feel supported even though it was large. Felt relief in my shoulder and upper back right away. Can't wait to find an EM that fits!
I find the design very pretty, with the dark blue fabric with white stripes, as it's interesting without the usual girly flower esthetic. The construction is sturdy and well made, and the materials feel good quality. The inside of the cups is a soft cottony jersey, and the bra has cookie pockets. The wires are quite stiff and rather U-shaped than V-shaped, which makes the gore stay narrow not only at the top. About the fit, this bra is the Ewa Michalak PL plunge cut and fits as expected, with narrow and deep cups. This bra is not really a good fit for me, as first off the band is too tight. I've only worn it a couple of times, as the wires are too tall and too stiff for my short roots, which makes it uncomfortable.
When I first got this bra, I was a little disappointed because I had "menswear" in my head, and the fabric and pinstriping are somehow not quite subdued enough to really fall into that category in my mind. I would say it is definitely a "pin up" style, though, and that's good, too.
The cups are a little too closed on top for my FoT boobs, and don't have quite enough room at the gore for my inner-fullness, so the shape is not 100% what I would like it to be, but the bra still fits quite well. It is more low-coverage than I expected, ...which is sexy, and it I do feel more supported than I initially thought I would when I saw how low-coverage it was. The straps drive me nuts, though... I have very narrow, sloped shoulders, so it is a rare strap that stays up on me, but between only adjusting half-way (and having a connector in the middle so you can't just force it to adjust further than it's supposed to) and being made of shiny, slippery fabric, I do find the constant strap-slippage to be really irritating. About 2 cup sizes too large for me, I knew this I just got an awesome deal on it and was mostly concerned if band size was going to fit. I was originally told to go with a 105 band and I'm glad I didn't because this band is too big @ 90. I have only owned if for so long and I also got it used. The previous owner did not like it because the bra was too big in band as well. For my body type of narrow shoulders (about 3 inches from neck to the farthest I would like a strap to go) I feel as if the shoulder straps are too far apart. I also know the cups are too big, but I also can not get the center gore to lay flat. I also feel as if the under wires are rather long and even if I went down a cup size I would still have under wire in my armpits.
I love what this bra looks like! It's so hard to find nice bras in my size that fit and this looks soo nice. I love the bow on the front. Some people say it is oversized but I don't think it's too big at all https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Unfortunately the sizing of this bra is different to the pl milady and pl onyks I have in the 60GG. In the pl Charlie the cups are way too big on me. I can make it fit using heaps of the push up pads, but I don't like to add so many. I will definately be buying another in a cup size down, same band size.
