    Didn't fit

Thanks so much for this gorgeous bra, martka00 !

So we've all heard about Ewa Michalak's wide-set straps by now. Well, the straps on this M Syrena are the widest-set I've ever encountered. When I first put the bra on, I was wondering why my armpits were hurting even though the wires didn't come up too high on the sides; eventually I realized that what was hurting was the straps, which might as well literally be in my armpits.

I love the M cut and don't have the wide-set straps issue nearly as badly with my other two M bras. The band on this bra is definitely bigger than ... the bands of my others, though, which probably contributes to the problem.

Other than that, I think this bra is really pretty. It gives me seriously good cleavage, better than pretty much any other bra I own (I threw away my old 32DDDs, lol). I'm glad I bought it because I had been wondering how the colors of the Syrena line actually looked in person ― the color scheme isn't really my style, but I enjoy the mermaidy aesthetic.

Reviewing this is just reinforcing my wish that Ewa would come out with some more M bras....

    • Looks great on you biflexual !

    • I have always loved the Syrena. I had a 65FF S but I passed it on because I seem to have trouble with the S now. I have wanted to try it in a 70F M. Maybe one day. I definitely could live without the pink bow, but it kind of works.

    • Sorry, it doesn't fit you. I agree the straps are on the wide side - however, my 70F isn't as wide. I love my Syrena as it's very comfortable and also gives me great cleavage!
I found also M Magique to give similar cleavage

    Fits

This is my third M bra, but my first in size 70F. I have the M XOXO in 65FF and Magique in 65F. While the M cut has a reputation for having unreasonably firm bands, I have to admit that I prefer the fit of the 65FF. The band on this bra is comfortable on the second last hook. I hope that the power mesh is firm enough to minimize stretching. I am happy that the M Carmen and Perlowy I ordered from MagdaBras4you are 65FFs.

The fit of this bra is very similar to the 65FF XOXO. It has a good amount of immediate ... projection, narrow wires (not as narrow as the CHP, but about the same as a BM in the same size) and a good amount of depth, particularly at the apex. The straps are comfortable and I do not find them to be as wide as the CHP or BM in the same size range. While the cups are very low, I don't find the amount of cleavage to be obnoxious. It feels less in your face than the CHP. The bra is supremely comfortable, I can wear it all day and forget that it's on. This is hands-down my best fit in EM styles, and I highly recommend it to others in my size range.

Finally, let's talk appearance. The style of this bra is simply breathtaking. I love the combination of the dark forest green, navy, and hot pink. It feels very mermaidy without being over the top. The navy eyelash lace on the cups is simply perfection. This bra is both sophisticated and girly. I could live without the giant hot pink bow on the gore, but admit that the tiny bows on the straps are growing on me. I love the uniqueness of this bra - it might be the prettiest one I own.

    • Pretty sure I've owned S Syrena in 2 (soon to be 3 🤣) different sizes, and I always felt that the band ran a little on the larger side. I really love the bra myself. You look fabulous.

    • 1

DerangedDragons19 Are you me? I have two failed fitting ones and a new PL Syrena on order 😅

rachaelll This bra looks lovely on you!

    • 3

DerangedDragons19 Sovavosi It really is so beautiful! But the band is big. I may attempt an alteration. Fingers crossed that your new Syrenas are perfect

    • I've always loved the look of this bra. Too bad the band is a tad big on you, but glad you love the bra.

    • rachaelll that alteration is easy for a seamstress. I had many done. Take it to a Stitch It or a drycleaners and ask them to do it for you. They remove the hook and eye pieces, cut off a small piece of band (I used to get 1/2" off each side) and then put the hook and eye pieces back.

    • 1

Its beautiful on you, btw. I'm sure you know that I agree with you on that center bow. The big one from my new Grace is already in an envelope lol

    • 1

AprilGoulding eek! I need to get this done ASAP

    • 1

      Wilderness1 thanks! I love the M!!

    • 1

Sovavosi 🤣🤣 my other two fit though! I think I had a 34JJ and then a 30JJ? Maybe a 32K? Shoot, I don't remember. I'll see if I can dig for photos and link them to you via imgur via your messages buahhaha

@rachaelll too bad about the band :( easy alterations though! I love, love, LOVE that bow hahahh

    • It looks fantastic on you!

    • 1

I must agree it looks great on you, and that the bow is over done! Too much of an eye grabber.

    • 1

I have to wonder if she makes that bow bigger depending on the size...

    • 1

Nope! Same size. I was just about to message you Sovavosi 🤣

    • 1

So beautiful! I want one sooo bad. You have all the bras that I want. Lol.

    • 2

I actually am ok with the giant bows, except I’ve got you beat! My PL Carmen has a huge bow. I’m not sure if it’s a matter of the bow didn’t get trimmed when it was made or what. I thought about cutting it down before but thought that it doesn’t really bother me much (and if it does, I tuck the tails under the gore) and that if I sell it, I will let the new owner decide if they want it long or not.

    Didn't fit

I'm still a rookie, so take my observations with a grain of salt. 😊

    My personal negatives :
    - The gore keeps moving on top of my breast tissue, I can't even get it to stay in my IMF for a minute. The rest of the underwire stays in place and the band is okay as well. I don't know if that's a cup seperation issue or a gore placement/height problem. I'm pretty sure I have inner fullness and close-set breasts, so that makes this tricky.
    - Also the straps are placed a little too far apart. I have to keep a very good posture or my shoulder push against the ... straps which distorts the cups and causes gaping.

Overall it's still one of my better fitting bras since I have the gore thing in all my other bras too, but this band is a little tighter and more comfortable throughout the day. It's also very pretty. I have to wear it on the third/second to last hook though, so I might sister size down next time, but I'm held back a little because the straps might be even further apart and of course the wires would be wider as well (right?). I was actually advised by Ewa's employee to size up because this model runs tight, but I think I could have gotten my usual band size of 28/60, since I'm technically a 26/55.

I hope this review is useful and I did it right. 😊

    • Thanks for your review!

    • Yes, you would be better off in a 60 and maybe even a 55. And I think that would actually help make the straps closer together and cups narrower, not the other way around. BTW, we have pretty much the same under bust measurements. :)

  4. I received this bra from Sonya as a swap for my S Syrena a little while ago, and I finally got a chance to wear it for a full day recently. The biggest surprise to me was the band. I was a little unsure if this band would be too big for me, as I prefer something that only stretches to around 26-26.5". Having said that, I can wear this bra on the second set of hooks and it is perfectly secure and comfortable. I think this is utterly ridiculous, considering it's a "30 band", but it works in my favour. So for y'all who ... are reading up on and considering the M cut, just know that you should sister size up at least one, if not two band sizes. Other than that, it fits the same as my M Chaberek; narrow-medium wire width, and lots of immediate and apex projection. It gives me quite a projected silhouette, which I'm not as much a fan of these days (I prefer a more minimized and close-to-the-chest silhouette), but it works well for when I want that look. The only slight quibble I have with it is that the ribbon that is sewn over the horizontal cup seam seems to give the cup itself a little bit of "quad-boob", but it's not severe enough for me to be bothered.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this trade, as I love the look of Syrena, but I just didn't wear my S anymore because it's so big for my frame. The M works much better for me, and is more in proportion with my figure.

Yeah the M cuts say on the site that the band is tight, to which I think...if you know the band is tight, why don’t you fix it then? I am lost at the concept of knowing the band is tight and doing nothing about it.

Anyway, Syrena is beautiful. I recently got a 65FF S Syrena from Sonya , so maybe it was yours? Love how this community shares.

I can kinda get sometimes wanting to be minimized, and I have heard that M is really projected. Glad that it’s working for you on some levels at least.

    • 1

      It looks great on you!

    • Thank you both! Calluna mine was a 60G, but I've definitely low-key tracked some of my old bras as they've changed hands over the years too lol.

    • Ah, ok. Yours is what let her pass on the 65FF to me, probably.

This bra is beautiful, comfortable, and fits well. I'm not sure if I like the pink bows, but the blue/green fabric is gorgeous. The band runs small, of which I was aware and actually wanted. The straps are easily adjusted. As with most EM bras, the straps are very wide-set, which results in them ending up in the front of my armpits. The cups are slightly wider than I need as well. I think a 60FF would be an even better fit for me. I so love the cookie pockets that come standard with EM bras. It improves the fit immensely for me as I have close to a cup size difference between breasts.

This bra was such a disappointment for me. Based on my experience with the M cut in a 65E, I thought this would be perfect. Going up a cup completely changed the fit for me. I had gaping and quadding in the same cup, the cups were taller, and it overall made me unhappy. I wore this for about 7 hours to see if I could ignore any issues or if they would magically resolve and they did not (of course). I kept looking down my shirt to make sure I wasn't falling out on my left side. That isn't something I want to do constantly, so this bra has found a new home and I'm keeping the S.

For a bra that is supposed to be rather shallow, there is awesome immediate projection. This is a good compromise between the S (which I find too tall) and the 3D (which I find too shallow). The shape is nice and round with low profile cups and an ultra low gore.
The cups are too small for me and I'll be reordering in a 65F.

Well, the bra looks nice, all details are really well made and so on. I took 70DD as this is my usual size in EM when getting 3d and CH/CHP. I found this one running tight in the band and in the cups, I would say is more as 65DD than 70DD - even if the measurement are more on the 70dd side, the bra is just smaller. If I will ever try it again, will go for 70E.

My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full.
I really love the mermaid look of this bra and the colors are gorgeous.
Like the other m's, it has a tight band and low gore. But I think this one doesn't have as much immediate projection and is a little wider. The straps are also set wide and it almost feels like the straps on my 65FF m perła or m gorzka. I can wear it without the pads but with pads, I spill over. I would love to try this in a 65FF but I'm not sure if that would help the shape.
