  1. I bought this bra when I discovered that I was particularly compatible with the HM style in one cup size smaller than usual. It was no longer in production, but Ewa kindly agreed to sew it on my special order.
Every HM bra is a little different in it's construction and shape, some of them run smaller in the cups (@Ewa Michalak Hm Granatowy Motyl (142)), but HM Gold, the last model in this style, is slightly different.
I'm convinced that these differences are related to the material it's made of. It's a very thin lace with a gold thread. As this material is very delicate, it can't support the ... breast weight as good as other HM bras. That must be the reason why there's an additional support at the cups and straps connection. This additional material has it's advantages – it resolves the problem of the cup edge that sometimes doesn't "adhere" to the breast tissue. In this model it gives a smooth line on the top. The inconvenient is that it also modifies the shape the bra gives in profile and which is now much less projected, I would even say that it's quite flat comparing to the other HM bras.
But my biggest problem with this bra is the weird cup shape I get and which I would describe as “humpbacked”https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> As the lace doesn't have the same thickness everywhere, and because my breast tissue is not very firm, it forms a kind of humps where the lace is thinner. The shape under the clothes is not very attractivehttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Concerning the underwires, they're a little bit more flexible and shorter than in other HM's.

My overall opinion about this bra is quite mixed. It's a very beautiful bra made of a delicate sheer lace and decorated with nice details. The most important for me though is the shape it gives as it's what people see in firsthttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> I don't wear this bra very often but I kept it in the hope that it will fit better if my size changes in the future.

    Didn't fit

This was the first bra that I ever truly loved and the first bra that ever truly fit me. I'm sad to see that it's been discontinued, as I ordered another (apparently my last) one in March of this year. It's still my go to bra when I need that nice, rounded shape that I love. The more I learn about proper bra fit, the more I realize that there are some not so great qualities to this favorite bra of mine. The gore, while I actually liked how high it was, ended up biting into the sternum a little bit. I could probably use a slightly larger ... band (32?) in Ewa Michalak sizing, though I'm hesitant to try because all of my other experiences with 32 bands from manufacturers like Freya have been so, so wrong. The cups were an excellent width, depth, and shape for my breasts. This bra alone won me over as a life long Ewa Michalak customers. If they were still making this bra, regardless of the slightly too tight band and the little bit of discomfort from the high gore, I'd buy it many times over.

Ewa michalak is well known for her moulded cup bras, but I think that their non-padded bras work really good too.
First of all the hm style is a balconette bra with a single seam at the middle of the cup; the wires are overlapped in the gore area to improve the shape(it is a fairly common trick to sew together the wires), in fact the best thing of the hm style is the perfect round shape. I love how the straps become wider near the cups too.
Even if the hm gold is made of a single lace layer, it's really very supportive.
The main problem for ... me is the size. I tried before the 80E and it was far too small in the cup, while the band was ok. In the 75G I can't fasten the band and my boobs escape in the side as the wires are too short. I'd like to try a 85FF/80G, but there aren't hm style bras available in ewa michalak site and I hate make custom orders. I really hope they make new models in the future.

I really wish the lace in this bra was softer, or that it wasn't cut so straight along the bottom-- the band is so tight that I'd definitely have to use an extender for daily wear, and it felt like it'd definitely be cutting in across the top of my high stomach more than the other Ewa Michalak bras I tried from the same order.

It's a pity, because it's such a gorgeous bra. The black and gold looks really great, and while I'm not completely sold on the way the top of the cups is basically cut straight across, it still looks really sexy and cute when ... worn.

I'm not super sure this was the right size for me-- the soft cups let me pack all my tissue in with no issues, and didn't seem liable to show under my usual cotton top, but the cups were so full that I'd recommend going up to a 65H just to get a bit of room for fluctuations in size.

Overall, though, this is going to be sold off as well, mostly for reasons of comfort.

Edit: After trying it on without an extender to make this review, I saw that one of the hooks on the back had moved around a bit, likely due to the stress of putting it on. I managed to get it back into place, and I'll probably mention that to the people at Ewa Michalak just to let them know there was an issue there.

Beautiful sheer bra, but it just doesn't fit my body comfortably. Very well made.

Otherwise LOVELY bra, but extremely tight band and fairly snug in the cups.
