    65DD

    Didn't fit

I ordered this bra after I had found the 65E too big in the cups for me.

    Bra description:

A sexy, delicate-looking bra with sheer, all-lace cups. The lace is black with a fine gold thread outlining the pattern. Three pale gold bows adorn the centre gore and the points were cups and straps connect. Scalloped elastic runs along the top and bottom edges of the wings and continues along the entire lower edge of the bra. The straps are made of soft, but quite sturdy elastic with decorative loops along the edges.

Oddly enough there are some differences between this 65DD and the 65E version that make me less smitten ... with it this one than I was with the other: the strap adjusters and connectors on this 65DD are silver-coloured and look thinner than the black ones on the 65E. To be honest, even though they are probably good quality findings, I really don't like the look of them and as I'm extremely wary of uncoated metal against my skin I'm definitely going to replace them -- silver adjusters on a black and gold bra is just plain wrong, in my opinion. Secondly, although I wasn't a fan of the gold bows on the first bra, on this bra they are also decidedly cheaper looking. They are just less well-made, less regular, partly made out of narrower ribbon (the ones on the straps -- in hindsight, maybe this is actually a good thing), and lack the two pearl beads that gave the bows on the 65E just a little more 'cachet'. In short: appearance-wise I am somewhat disappointed -- the whole thing just looks less fancy than the 65E I tried before.

    Bra fit:

The short version: IT FITS! What's more, it fits BOTH my breasts -- due to breastfeeding they were particularly asymmetrical when I tried this size on first time -- without gaping, wrinkling, or cutting in anywhere. It gives a great shape: slightly lifted and perfectly round, yet my breasts still feel soft and natural -- easily the best shape I've ever had in any non-padded bra! The cups are VERY low cut and open on top so the nipple on my larger breast is only just covered, but the good thing is that the fits of the cups really is extremely forgiving. The band is snug without feeling tight (it's quite stretchy though) and although the wires are narrower than what I'm used to, they are very comfortable, both width and length-wise, and don't interfere with my breast tissue at all. The strap placement is quite possibly the most comfortable I've ever experienced as I find most bras too small in the 'armhole' and too wide in the cups/straps. This bra doesn't affect my range of movement at all. Nothing pokes or pinches, chafes or cuts, although I haven't yet worn it long enough to vouch for absolute perfection.

    Conclusion:

This is definitely a keeper and quite probably the first in an entire series of HM bras that will be filling my dresser soon. I've long been looking for a non-padded bra that gives me good shape and lift and I think I've finally found one that truly works for me. This bra gives me the breasts I've always wanted and for the time being I don't think I have to look any further. I just hope that what seems to me like a 'quality slip' has only affected this particular bra and isn't extending to all Ewa Michalak bras and models ... I was so impressed with what I've seen of this brand so far that the finishing on this particular bra was a tiny bit of a let-down.

    65E

    Didn't fit

    General comments:

I ordered this bra together with the CH Onyx and the PL Onyks -- all in the same size 65E -- on October 2nd. The package arrived on October 5th, which really is exceptionally fast, in my opinion. The three bras fitted me quite differently -- it goes to show that there is some size discrepancy between the different Ewa Michalak models. I will also review the other two bras.

    Bra description:

A stunner of a bra, black with a fine gold thread outlining the sheer lace detail. Three pale gold bows with tiny pearl beads adorn the centre gore and places where the straps connect to the cups. ... In my opinion it would look much better with black bows, but it is okay the way it is. A fine scallop finishes the edges of the wings and lower front. The bra strap elastic is of the decorative kind, with alternating small and larger loops decorating its edges. The straps are fully adjustable and the adjusters stay well put.

    Fit:

I liked the look of this bra on the website although the photos don't really show the detail very well. In reality it is even prettier, although I think the choice for pale gold bows isn't the best, but those can be changed if they really bother. Unfortunately, the fit of this bra is the least of the three bras I tried -- both the PL Onyx and the CH Onyx fit me better in parts -- although I think the fitting problems with this one are more easily fixed than with the other two bras.

The shape it give is just PERFECT, especially for such a delicate, sheer, next-to-nothing bra! Lifted, round, up front and centre, did I mention PERFECT? Really, it's unbelievable what this bra achieves even though this version is clearly too large in the cup for me. It fits my right, larger breast ALMOST, but I have to tighten the straps virtually all the way (which is not exactly comfortable) and there's still a bit of gaping. The fit on my smaller breast is worse, but again, I think I simply need to go down a cup size in this model.

The band on this 65E Unpadded Half Cup is somewhere in between the PL Onyks and the CH Onyx: definitely not as snug as the first, but snugger than the second. I CAN close it at the tightest hook, though not as comfortably as the CH Onyx. It actually feels quite fine at the loosest hook and doesn't seem to ride up, so I don't think I should go down a band size if I were to reorder this bra. The band feels slightly different and slightly less stretchy than the bands on the other two bras. Like the others this one also offers four hook positions.

The straps placement is wide. I can't quite account for the comfort of their position as I had to tighten them almost all the way to reduce the gaping, which isn't comfortable to begin with. However, I don't think they cut into my armpits the way the straps on many other bras do. I have wide and straight shoulders, so the straps stay very well put.

    Conclusion:

At 65E this HM Gold runs significantly larger in the cup than both the CH Onyks and the PL Onyks of the same size. Its band is somewhere in between but quite fine for my 27"/69cm underbust. It's gorgeous (minus the pale golden bows) and the shape it gives is just to die for.

    Edited To Add:
I've tried all the three bras on again this morning and for some reason MOST of the fitting issues I noted yesterday evening have disappeared. I think my breasts are fuller in the morning than in the evening (breastfeeding).

As to the band of the HM Gold: I think the 65 one really is fine after all. New out of the package it just does not feel not AS snug as the 65 band on the PL Onyks, but I think that one band size down will indeed be too tight. It DOES feel less stretchy than the band on the PL Onyks, so maybe that's the difference. I'm still going to order the HM Gold in a smaller cup size though (65DD) as I DO have a little bit of excess fabric at the top of the cups. I can tighten the straps, but that isn't the most comfortable solution, nor solves it all. I'm just hoping the wires on the 65DD won't be too narrow as those actually seem quite fine in this 65E size ... compared to the other two bras, the wires in this one are definitely the most comfortable for me, although when I compare them one by one there doesn't seem to be much difference except for their length ...

  3. This must be the prettiest bra I’ve ever owned <3

I ordered it first in a 70G, but it was too small in the cups, so I ended up listing it. Now I received my 70GG and it’s absolutely perfect. It’s very tight in the band, but I can still wear it without an extender without too much discomfort (which wasn’t the case with the 70G, whose band was insanely tight). However, the padding under the hooks has very sharp and hard edges, which is a bit uncomfortable, but hopefully they’ll soften up as I wear the bra a bit more.

The cups are fairly true to size, I think. ... The straps are fully adjustable (yay!). I love the shape this bra gives me – round, but also flattens a bit, and only in a good way. I also cannot quite believe how an unpadded bra can offer this much support.

Summa summarum: just brilliant all over, from looks to support.

Edit: The edges of the paddings under the hooks are very sharp and hard; they scratch my back quite bad and obviously don't add to the comfort. I actually had to add some medical tape around the edges at first in order to be able to wear the bra for a whole day. (I have the exact same problem with the CHP Mak.) The band also stretches very little (even now when I've owned and worn the bra for quite a while), and if I wear the bra for a whole day, it gets really quite uncomfortable.

Therefore, I lowered the comfort to just "meh" and quality to "good".

Lovely bra. The lace and embroidery are so beautiful! The cups give a very nice, rounded shape, with a little lift. I wore this bra today at work, and I'm pretty sure I was nipping the entire time (it was not cold). It was a little visible, so just a warning. The embroidery could potentially be irritating to some, it seemed to be slightly stiff, but it did not bother me.

The band is definitely stretchy (true to size), but I didn't have any issues at work today. Even though it stretches to 30 inches, it's strong enough right now to stay right in place on my 27 underbust. I can comfortably wear it on the first or last hook. I really like this bra, so I will probably stitch a ribbon when it loosens a little. I've gone ahead and ordered the HM Classic in 30DD, since this one looks so nice.

Very well made, I am impressed. I used the size calculator for this, so know this bra has true to size band.

I just got this bra today, as well as a 55E that is too small for my larger breast, and I love it. I haven't truly found a soft cup bra that I loved for every reason, but this is it.

It seems that with most Curvy Kate soft cups, when I switched down from a 28FF to a 28DD (lost weight), the hooks changed from 3 to 2 hook. I really preferred the 3 hook, it cut into my back less and the 2 hook gave me a bit of back fat which was noticeable in some of my clothes. So I never wore those bras.

I requested that ... they use 3 hooks; I do not know if this is the default hook amount. This company was so helpful with my request of 3 hooks; I exchanged a few emails back and forth while picking out this bra and the service was excellent. Few bras can you request they make you a different one when you know what you don't like. It seems there is always 'something' that I don't like about most bras that I get. Not this one!

This bra is perfect for backfat. If anything, it is a bit too tight, but since every single other 28 band (minus the masquerade anise- review coming eventually) is too big, I don't mind.

I don't even find the assymetry of my breasts annoying in this bra, but it is still day one. I am very impressed with having a band size that actually fits, and breasts that are held up without any shoulder strain from hiking up the straps in a too big cup.

I will be ordering more ewa bras tonight, but now that I know my size I am going to get a couple different types.

    70G

    Didn't fit

I have gained a bit of weight recently so it's almost too small. Because it is a halfcup I don't get quadding or cutting in but I can tell I'm pushing it a little.

I bought it used and it still has a really tight band. It stretches to 80cm on the dot even after quite a bit of wear. I'm waiting for an extender to arrive, it is a little bit too tight and I'm afraid I may damage the bra if I wear it without.

The lace is soft and not scratchy.

The shape is absolutely fantastic, plenty of immediate projection at the bottom of a cup, rounded and hemispherical shape - It is virtually identical to HP, just not padded and super sexy.

It does seem to fit a tiny bit larger than HP (I take 70GG in HP), I guess the padding is the difference here.

The one thing about this bra that I would change is having three rows of hooks instead of two.

I love Ewa's HM bras! This on fits the best of the three I have so far, and I hope to acquire more. It is a little bit more shallow at the bottom of the cup than ewa's Ch/Chp cuts, but it doesn't bother me even though I need the immediate projection. The tip of the gore digs in a little between my breasts with wear, but I think that's mainly my posture.

    One of my favourites.

I knocked the quality and comfort ratings down because the band is ridiculously tight- obviously a sewing or labeling error- and I have to wear it with 2 extenders. But with the extenders, it's very comfortable, and it's held up through 6 months of being worn about twice a week. It looks so delicate I was sure the lace would have torn somewhere by now, but (knock on wood) it seems to be stronger than it first appeared.

The lace is stretchy, the bra fits throughout the month, and fits both boobs equally.

The shape is great- round and lifted, but more subdued than the other EM shapes I've worn (PL, CH, S and SM).

This bra is extremely sexy, but given it's my only non-padded black bra I wear it as a basic.

This is yet another EM bra I purchased in the correct cup size with too small of a band in the hopes of getting a lower gore. I was afraid that with 70F - Ewa Michalak » Hp Classic (236) and 70F - Ewa Michalak » Ch Pawie Oka (207) fitting me so well, this bra would be a cup size too small, but that is not the case. Aside from an intentionally too small band, this is one of the best fitting bras I've ever put on in my life. I do currently wear this bra with an extender. I bought this bra second hand, and it is missing one of the pearls on the ribbon on the gore.
