    Didn't fit

This is one of two bras that Sonya sent to me for Bra Science. Initially, she offered to send me a 30G/65HH Comexim Jade Plunge, but offered this in addition, as I hadn’t tried any CHP bras at that point. I had no idea how the size or shape would be for me. Aesthetically, this bra isn’t a style I’d normally pick for myself, but it was the fact that it was a 65FF CHP which was new to me is why I agreed to get it sent with the Comexim.

The bra is a very pale pink material with very small black polka dots, ... black lace edging the top of the cup, a small black satin bow at the gore, and a sort of faux corset lace up in the middle cup section of the 3 pieces which are edged in black ribbons with a smaller thin pale pink ribbon threaded or weaved through (this ribbon style is also covering the straps). There’s a standard U back/leotard back, in black to contrast. Lastly, the foam cups are lined with cotton cookie pockets that cover the lower portion of the cups. I’ve heard about the infamous CHP cookie pockets and being notoriously hard to use by contrast to the PL and S styles, but I don’t think I was fully prepared for the hell that these are. I almost decided not to bother with trying to remove them, but for bra science and fit, I had to. What I wasn’t aware of is how the pockets have some kind of mesh with a little slit in the center which faces the inside of the bra cup. I was afraid that I’d damage the slit in removing them. I know that it’s been described in reviews before but I couldn’t picture it. Maybe I’d never seen or what I had seen was only part of it? The cookies themselves are a little oddly shaped, sorta like fish with no tails. I really don’t understand why this is the pocket style of choice for this model. Why, Ewa, WHY?

I actually like some of the aesthetics of this bra, but not all. I love polka dots for a start. While I am not a huge pink fan, I do like the contrast with the black dots and black lace trim on the top of the cups and the ribboning on the straps. The pink is actually pretty nice with my skin tone, I think. The part that I really dislike is the faux corset lace up look on that middle cup panel. I feel like it distorts the appearance of my boobs or something. I don’t know. I prefer the look of this style in the M cut the best.

When I initially tried the bra on, I had not adjusted the straps and had a bit of obvious quadding, though upon loosening them, the cups do still appear to be a little bit small. I was also a few days pre period, so now that I am a few days into my cycle, I fell like it’s maybe still a bit small but I really don’t know if I can pull off a 65G(!). I have noted which pictures have the cookies. I honestly don’t think that it’s a significant difference between the two looks but maybe it’s a size issue. I’m getting a pretty nice rounded shape which is less minimizing than the Comexim 3HC. This band does feel pretty good, and the straps seem ok, but like all Ewas, slightly wide for my frame. I am even more hesitant about a 65G because of the straps. I lack the ability to sew and move the straps in but maybe I can ask the lady at the bras shop near me since she allegedly can do alterations.

While there are many redeeming qualities of this bra, it’s ultimately not my favourite CHP style, and the size is still questionable whether it’s a size small still. I will be returning it to Sonya with thanks of gratitude for sending it to me to try. I’m tempted to try a 65G given rachaelll ’s success with the one she got recently (but had to alter the straps on).

I agree it is too small in the cup, but does still look good on you. I love the look the CHP gives, but I am sized out of the style..theOh well, I can't have them all!

    • 3

I don’t know if it is too small exactly but I think the gore is too wide at the bottom for you and there’s not enough center room. Ewa would say that it looks really good except for the band lol.

    • 1

I agree it looks a bit small. But as usual, photos can be deceiving, what matters is how you feel.

It could be a simple case of what cupandahalf says... just a mismatch.

    • 2

cupandahalf "Ewa would say that it looks really good except for the band"
Too true! You know that is exactly what she would say! Haha!

    • 1

I think a 65G with cookies might be a slightly better fit. This size sort of works but looks a smidge too small.

    • 2

I think it looks pretty good, but I also think I'm biased because the "too small" seems to be the look Ewa is going for with this cut.

    • 1

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that the gore is just a little bit too wide at the bottom for me as well, which I was nervous about with it and the HM I was considering getting. It’s kind of reminiscent of the Freya Kiyoko Half Cup which was also a huge fail...that was also pinkish with black polka dots. Ooooohhhh. Spooky. Lol!

The gore does actually match my unsupported splayed shape though, but it would be better if it was a touch narrower for me. And it’s how it fits supported that counts. Though this might be what is making me feel like I am slightly east-west in this and not as forward facing as I’d like to be. So maybe a narrowed gore alteration is needed.

I will consider a 65G or 70FF and consider the alterations to the bra for it to fit me better. I think that I might be better off in Comexim 3HC even though it’s a bit minimizing. But I’m going to try another CHP for bra science.

    • I second cupandahalf The gore looks too wide. The wider gore is exactly what I LOVE about the CHP because I'm wide set (more than 2 fingers between my girls top to bottom). I also agree with MamaPagan and Sonya in that the cup is just a smidge too small. But just a smidge. 65G with cookies might fare better and you'll get more coverage. However, it is open at the top, so you also might get gaping, given your shape. Cakes on a plate, boobs in your face, is what you're supposed to have with CHP. It's a sexy sexy cut.

    • AprilGoulding The CHP is not made for folks with a sloping upper root shape, I fear the 65G will just be too tall and cover her completely.

    • 1

I feel it would greatly depend on the model she buys (as they do vary) and the seamstress of the day unfortunately......

    • 1

Sovavosi thats my worry, aside from the straps being too wide, and possibly a wider gore with a 65G. I feel like I might be in between the sizes the way Wilderness1 is.

MamaPagan do you have suggestions on what models of CHP in 65G might work? I know that there’s an Oksana in the listings unless it’s sold since I last checked. I also like the Opium. But of the current batch of CHPs, I’m not super fond of many. Unless it’s a different style made into a CHP.

Thanks all! I suspect that it’s not quite the right cut for me unless it’s altered.

    • And yes, too tall and too wide gore were among the problems that I faced in the Kiyoko. :(

    • 1

Calluna I know it's not the ideal look, but some of the CHPs can bend over the top slope and just look like a full coverage bra. You still get the same round effect under clothing.

    • I’ve messaged th user with the 65G Oksana for cup height.

    • I have very little experience with the CHP, and never got a comfortable/ ideal fit myself, so unfortunately I have no suggestions as to which would work better. Sorry honey!

    • 1

      It’s ok MamaPagan. Thank you.

    • 3

Calluna yeah, I wanted the CHP to work so badly, and I tried a few different ones in different sizes... but my short roots just didn't want to cooperate with it. Sad, because I wanted that cakes-on-a-plate, front and centre, va va voom look that others get in it. Maybe a 65G would work for you, but yeah... it may end up being too big/tall and open. It's always worth a try for bra science though!

    • 1

I added a few more pictures from today. Cookies are in because I couldn’t be arsed to take them out, but it’s cycle day 5 so definitely in low tide for now. Taking the cookies out might just barely work, but I don’t notice a huge difference between them in and out.

    • 2

Ok. So...I was wearing my 65G CHP Red Wine and just took it off. Measuring cup height (from the start of the actual cup at the inner edge of the wire, to the top at the 2nd seam - the longer one- is 17cm on the outside of the bra. The gore at the top is 1.75cm and 4cm at the bottom. Cup depth measured on the outside of the bra, draped over my knee is 24 cm.
My 65FF HM Sekret Wiktori is 15cm high on that exact same seam. And the depth is 23.5cm.
Top of gore is 1.75 and bottom of gore is 5 cm.
These 2 bras are different cup sizes, but I find the fit the same, due to the padding on the CHP. They're both very open at the top and have a splayed gore.
I hope this helps you, Calluna

    • 1

P.S. the band on the HM is mesh and much more easily stretched than the knit-wear band on my CHP. I love that HM and will wear it to its death.

    • 1

AprilGoulding please make sure you add the data into the database so the info is easily available to all who utilize the db. Thank you!!

    • 2

I actually think that if you took cookies out, it would probably fit pretty well right now Calluna .Definitely try before sending this bra away.

    • 1

      MamaPagan done!! ;) I couldn't believe I hadn't added my HM measurements. I usually do them :(

    • 1

Wilderness1 ok. I will try it without the cookies now. I will still be returning it to Sonya though because I don’t really like the style of this one all that much...I dislike the lace up corseted look in the middle of the bra panels. But it was graciously sent to me to see if it fit (size and shape). So, mission accomplished on that front, and now it will go back. The Jade (review is pending) I am not sure about yet which is why I still have both at the moment.

    • Calluna I even went back and measured the distance between the straps.
On my 65CHO it is 26cm.
On my 65FF HM its 27cm

    • 1

      AprilGoulding Thank you! :-)

    • Thanks. Can you go and add measurements to the chp as well so I can see the comparison with this one?

    • I added a few new pictures today. I’m cycle day 4, so just at the end of my period. I removed the cookies from both sides. I feel like I fit into the cups better so I don’t know if I would fit into the 65G with the cookies or not. I feel like the top of the cup on my small side is just rounding over the tissue. Looking at the pictures again, I still feel like I am being splayed a bit east west, but I can’t say if it’s the particular style or the cut or if it’s the gore. And I think that I might have this problem with other bras too. But it’s definitely a better fit in low tide with no cookies in. I might consider a 65FF in a different style, but would still be curious about the 65G even though I worry that it’s going to be too big and/or tall. Appreciate any feedback on this last batch of pics.

    • I get the E-W on most of Ewa padded bras as well, so you may be right that the issue would most likely carry over to other bras.
Aside from that concern, it looks like a good fit with the updated photos, so at this point in your cycle, the 65G may be a bit too big, though with cookies or at a fuller point it could work. With the inconsistency of Ewa production lately, it's no guarantee either way unfortunately. Sorry :-/

    • Looks like this is a good low tide bra. If it’s comfy you might keep it for that time.

This bra is really fun! Light pink isn’t a part of the color scheme that I regularly wear, but this one looked really good and flirty when I put it on. This bra one checks all the fitting boxes, but I would like to note that the cups seem taller than my Oksana. Also, I get quadboob if I use the pads with my regular strap length, but if I make them longer it goes away. (My straps are usually fairly tight, with me being really high set and 5’5”)

    • hmm..these measurements have me thinking I may be able to try something in this style..That note about the quadding is making me wonder though. Does it still quad without the pads?

side note: yes, on the stock photos this does seem like a cute bra. Also I completely understand tightening the straps. I'm around 5ft and generally have to tighten my straps to around juuust behind the top of my shoulders, they're not digging in though, so it's all good.

    • 1

Frazzleberry Nope, it doesn’t quad without the pads. You could try the CHP cut, since it is really open on top.(+ good immediate projection) MamaPagan also wears the CHP cut in 60K, so you might be able to wear it.

Side note: The straps are really wide set, (not UK wide, but wide) so most have to angle them in a fair amount. My shoulders are more muscular and broad than the average woman’s, making the straps not as bad for me, but for some it can be a problem.

    • 1

Forgot to add: I got quadboob with the pad when the straps were tightened virtually all the way (fairly normal for me) but I making them longer got rid of the quadboob.

    • _booknerd_ this does sound like it can probably work then. Thanks!

I guess I know what my next style to try will be ^_^

    • 1

Frazzleberry Good luck! My bd is coming up, so I’m waiting till then to order new bras. (Probably will get SMN Buduar, Pl Crop Top, Flamenco and a bikini top)

    • 1

_booknerd_ awesome! I hope those work out for you ;) (The flamenco looks really nice..I like the red and black combo)

Yeah I'm waiting on my other orders to come in first, so I can probably get a better idea of my size in EM, before i make anymore decisions... I have a 60K in BM Klejnot that on its way (idk where it is though, lol) and an SF that's being prepared.. So we'll see how those work out

    • 1

Frazzleberry Yeah, I get waiting for orders to come in to pin point your size. I really wanted to order bras during the Black Friday sale, but I was nervous about the size. Good luck, I hope you narrow down your size!

    • 1

      Thanks!

    • 1

Yes _booknerd_ I can wear the 60K CHP, but I do have some caveats to the style.

The cups barely cover my nipples. (I do have taller boobs though so my nipples tend to sit higher in bras than thry do on most women.)

The wires under the arms dig in painfully. I'm not sure if it's the wire width, wing height, or due to the cups being a bit small so the wires sitting on the breast tissue. I wish I could figure it out. It wasn't an issue at first though, so it may have to do with a slight increase in size or change in my breast shape.

I get a bit bulgy with the cups without cookies. Last time I wore it (10/13/18) I was quadding and I had to take it off mid day due to the wire pain. I put it away into storage as I couldn't stand wearing it any longer. :-/

I love the look the CHP gives, nice and rounded yet not over the top. I'm just not liking the lack of comfort. I thought about trying to order a 60KK some time in the future to see if it made a difference on the comfort, but at last count, the 60K is the size cap for the CHP.

I can't say if the CHP would work well for you Frazzleberry, and would worry that the cups wouldn't be as secure as needed for day to day wear for you. Though it would potentially make a sexy date bra, just don't run or jump in it, haha. I still feel your boobs are bigger than mine, so I'd fear you would fall out of the low open topped cups on this style. (Again making it a good potential date bra, haha.)

    • MamaPagan Oh dear. I do want to try one of Ewa's padded bras but I may have to put off this particular shape to a later date, or at least until I can say what works for me best.

I was hoping that with the more open top the shape it would give less of that east-west look, but then if it's a toss-up between shape and comfort/security, the latter will always take the higher priority for me.

      *sigh*

    • 1

Sorry. :-( You can always check the cup heights of the ones _booknerd_ & I have entered and see if that would be a "safe" height for you.
I still get a bit of an E-W look with the CHP but it definitely isn't as bad as with the S or PL so you are correct there.

    • 2

Will do and thanks for all the info MamaPagan & _booknerd_ ^_^

That's just how it goes with bras some times..a bit of some trial and error, before we find what works for us ;)

    • 2

So very true Frazzleberry! It's an expensive journey for sure. :-)

I got really lucky and found this new with tags on Ebay! My last experience with a CHP wasn’t so great due to size. This fits pretty well and I get the cakes on a plate. The band on this feels on the stretchy side, so I may end up moving in on the clasp sooner than later. The cups consists of three vertical seams. The inside of the cup is white with the outlet fabric a light baby pink with black dots. There are thin satin lace looking detail up the front of the cups with a nice black lace edging. The straps are a black elastic with a pink detail on the front portion of the strap where it attaches to the cup. The patterned fabric continues around the back of the band and there is a black 3x4 clasp. This is super cute. The only down side is you can see the cookie holder fabric outline from the outside of the cup even if the cookies aren’t in it.
*All pictures taken without the cookies.

  4. Fits more like a 65/30 FF or G. Great shape for fob and slightly center-full breasts, gives a cakes on a plate look that also doesn’t feel indecent for everyday life lol.

Bra band is too small, which makes sense since it was altered to fit like a TTS 28 band https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I get quadding in the cups.
I does make me a little tempted to try the CHP though.

I fell in love with this bra as soon as I saw it!! Love at first sight!! I received an email from Ewa with a special offer on this bra and instantly purchased the set with matching thongs (in a Small/36). So adorable!! I'm a sucker for the corset look and LOVE the lace-up ribbon on the cups (and panties), with the polka dots and delicate Lace trim...cute cute cute!! The straps are also adorable, and different than your typical, everyday bra strap, with the contrasting pink ribbon interwoven throughout.

Now onto the technical stuff. Looks like a perfect fit! But I'm not really sure, something seems, or ... feels, a bit off. It's been quite some time since I've worn Ewa. I've been Victoria's Secret's spokeswoman for the past 2 years and have worn nothing else. But we all know the "evils" behind Vicky. I feel like their Demi bras are great and fit almost perfectly! But anything with a little padding and the cups are entirely too wide, and too shallow, for me. And I wanted something cute for summer. The cup width is just about perfect, I have the band on the second to last hook, the straps seem a bit too far out but nothing major. I do have them tightened about halfway and they are digging into my sunburned shoulders (ouch). But the gore tacks nicely, no quadboob going on and the cups seem to fit just right. But I feel like they might be just a tad too roomy. I know if I take the padding out they will definitely gape. I think I have to just break it in and see. It's def tighter than what I'm used to and a bit uncomfortable. I'm hoping it won't be as bad the more I wear it. I'll have to update after a full day's wear. Or maybe try another size? I'm not quite sure. But one thing I noticed that is a def plus - the wires overlap just a tad, which is perfect for my close-set boobs! Yay for overlapping wires!! Lol!

    • I'm in the same boat as you. I can't tell if I should go down a size or not in this one. I just got it yesterday in size 30G. It's definitely a tighter band (mine stretched 28.5) than the other models that I have and quite deep! It's a little roomy just at the very top where it doesn't feel as secure as my other chps. What's odd is my G cup is the same cup height as your FF if we measured the same way which I actually like for my short roots.
It's so pretty though! I may keep this size and order one down then decide which to resell.

    • Yes! This one def feels different than all of my other CHP bras! My Klaudyna was either a 30G or 28GG, I can't remember, still, a whole cup size larger and this feels like it fits exactly the same. I agree, not as secure on the top of the cup. And I measured along the outside for the height. It does feel short, my nipples are right at the edge. I'm glad I didn't go with the larger size like I was going to. I haven't worn it yet, other than trying it on briefly. But I'm curious to see how it feels with a full day's wear. And I'm curious to know how you make out with the smaller size. I wonder if it will be any different for you.

    • I would definitely have gapping if I took out the cookies! I like to have the option to wear with or without. I'm going to wear this today and think about what to do. I'm worried if I go down a size I may pop right out! But looking at your measurements on the 30ff it should be fine. I may even go 70F if the band feels like it may not stretch out. My underbust is right at the stretch length of 28.5. I hate to stretch a bra band to its max but I also hate when I get a 70 and it stretches out too quickly. I'll repost on how the smaller size works out! Right now she has a 30FF ready to go so I may take advantage of that opportunity instead of waiting 2 more months.
So if anyone is reading this trying to decide on a size it's a deeper cup tighter band!

    • Cup height does make sense. Mine is closer to 6.3-6.5 which sounds right from an ff (6.1) to a G.

    • Yes!! I completely agree, deeper cups with a tighter band. I usually go right to the last hook on the 65 band with Ewa. But I could prob even do the first hook if I didn't want it super tight on this one. Let me know how you make out with the size down. I just can't imagine myself wearing a 65F, I'm almost positive I'd pop out. But with this one, I'm really not sure. Did you order straight from EM? As much as I hate the long wait, I did order straight from EM. It took about 3 weeks to arrive. But it's much cheaper than ordering thru Bra Obsessed. The entire set with matching thong was only $68 I think, somewhere around there.

    • And the cup height sounds about right from the FF to the G cup. I'll have to cross check the measurements with my other CHP bras in my profile to see where the differences are.

    • I did order direct during the xoxo weekend sale. I loved that one when I first saw it so I jumped at the chance when I got the email about the sale. So it took about month for me to receive it. It doesn't take that long considering but all those vat, PayPal and shipping fees really add up on one bra which makes me hesitant to order very often.
but I did end up ordering the 65FF today since she had it available to ship on her website! Someone must have already returned their 65FF or something. I took out the cookies and it was really gaping so I figured I could definitely fit in the 65FF without cookies and possibly with them too. Hope it fits better and will let you know of the outcome!

I got the 65FF. It fits perfectly and can still wear it with or without the cookies! I love it even more now! I wasn't so thrilled with it in the other size as far as wearing. It's so much more comfortable when you don't have any room to spare in this particular model. I lined this xoxo 65G up with a few other 65G CHP's that I have and this one is definitely deeper at the very top section. I would say it is even more full on top friendly than her other CHPs which I am not full on top. Now I have to decide to sell or not to sell the 65G. Hope your 65FF is maybe fitting better for you after some wear!

    • Yay!!! Aw, I'm so glad the 65FF fits you better than the 65G! I think I should try a 65F now. I'm just worried it will be too small. I usually do a G cup as well but went for the FF. I have high profile implants and still have a good amount of upper pole (even/round) fullness. So I'm surprised it's so roomy on me. Dang, I don't know if she would let me exchange it for a 65F. I still have the tags on it but it's been a couple weeks since I received it. I still have yet to wear it since trying it on. I have to give it another try. I hope you can sell your 65G! And I'm so happy for you! I'm so glad you found a better fit!! :)

I'm not sure if this is a 65E or F. I bought this bra well loved and the tag doesn't say. It fits pretty well but the gore isn't all the way flush so I'm on the lookout to try some other EM in a larger cup.

    CHP XoXo in 70J

Adding bra in for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database, but since I did measure it, I decided to add it anyway.

CHP XoXo is a padded half cup bra. It has light foam lined cups with additional removable pads, which EM states is for the correction of Asymmetry. The pockets for these pads are sewn on the curve of the wire and not across the depth of the cup. The color of this bra is pale pink with micro black dots and a faux corset lace up on the cups, and has ... a white cotton liner. The XoXo is also available in other styles, such as the S which looks the same except has an added 4th horizontal section across the top of the cup for additional coverage and support.

The band measures 25.5” to a max of 36” and has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

The cup depth is 12.5” (measured by hovering the cup between the knees and placing the tape measure into the cup without any resistance) and stretches to 14” over the knee without the cookies in. There are 3 vertical parts to the cup and a pocket for the removable pads.

    Fits

I love the way Ewa Michalak CHPs fit. They lift and centre beautifully and give a streamlined look from the front and a full, rounded side profile. I think this one fits a smidge bigger than expected, both in the band and cup, so I need to wear the cookies with it and fasten on the tightest hooks. I like the way it looks and feels, though. It's a cute style, though perhaps not practical because of the contrast piping. The straps are comfy, easily adjustable and not too stretchy. They are a little wide set for my narrow frame, but not bothersome. The bra fabric is not the softest I've felt, but definitely not rough either, and the cookie pockets are lined with super soft cotton. My breasts are very soft and pendulous, centre and bottom-full, narrow and short rooted with lots of projection just above the wire.
