  1. It’s been a while since I last ordered a half cup from Ewa Michalak. Their half cups used to be my favourite bras and I’ve owned many of them in 65E and 65DD but they are all too small now. I only kept the CHP Miedziak which has quite big cups, and the CH Cherry which became too small very quickly. I decided to try out the new styles in 65F. To try the new size, I choose the beautiful CHP Red Wine and the CHP Office, which I’ve been lusting for since I saw the first previews many months ago.
The Office is simple and elegant. I ... guessed that the material is actually the same as in the S Glamour and BM Naomi and I love it, it’s very soft and good quality. I like the way it reflects the light and its delicate colour. The shiny material combined with the lace cup edging and the satin ribbons makes it really beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice. I would prefer more elegant straps, these are the ones they’ve been always using. They’re fully adjustable and a little bit stretchier than I like.
I choose the 65 band which is my usual EM size in “normal” bands, even though I’m seriously thinking about definitely switching to 70 bands as some of them run tight and I can always fasten a looser band on the second or last hook. I also thought the CHP style wouldn’t be as tight as the S or the unlined bras I recently bought. This 65 band is actually tight. I can wear it without extender but I must have a sensitive skin because I’ve always needed my bands looser than what my measurements actually suggest. However I decided to keep this size as it’ll stretch out a little.
I’m always reticent about sizing up in the cups, even when I spill out of my current size. Actually, I sometimes get stuck between two cup sizes, when the smaller size is too small and the bigger one too big. In that case, I always prefer the smaller size. However, my last CHP and CH bras became unwearable and I decided that sizing up would be necessary of I want to wear EM halfcups.
I was unsure about the fit as I’m full on bottom and don’t have tons of upper fullness that the half cups require and my breast tissue is quite soft. I can actually see that this cut isn’t such a good fit for my shape as the S cut. Overall, this size fits and I mostly fill out the cups but I can see some quadding near the gore and some empty space near the straps attachment. It can only be seen from very close and the shape under the clothes is very rounded and projected, much more than in any of my Ss. Compared to the CHP Red Wine I find the cup edge in this one more open, it’s kind of straight instead of following the breast shape, just like the CH Cherry. This shape reminds me a lot of the old HP Czarny and could particularly accommodate FOT boobs.

    Fits

    Fits like a 32FF UK.

Ordering one cup up from my usual UK size in CHP's continues to be a good rule of thumb. This style works well for my even and projected shape, and short and fairly narrow roots.

The cookie pockets are different than the ones on my PL and S cuts. I'm not sure if CHP's are just done differently, or if the design has changed (my other CHP is an older model that doesn't have pockets)? With my PL and S cuts, there's a split in the fabric at the back of the cup in the middle where you can put a pad(s); with the CHP Office, there's a separate pocket in the bottom of the cup that's sort of a pocket within a pocket. It's hard to describe.

I ordered this bra directly from EM on October 29, it shipped on November 9, and was delivered on November 18.

    • For some reason Ewa has had at least 3 different types of pockets for the pads.
And now hat you mention it, the CH cherry I have had the different pocket where it's like a pocket in a pocket.
The third pocket style was just like an extra piece of fabric sewn in the cup with an opening on the outer part. (So to get the pads in you'd have to fold them the way you would a pizza)

I'm hoping I get my Ewas soon. I ordered 10/24, they were shipped 11/7 (my birthday), but nothing yet.

    • Prettyncharmeuse That is good to know, thank you!

I hope yours arrive very soon. :)

    • YayBras my bras just came in the mail.

Do you like the fit/look of the CHP office? I want to try another CHP, but the ones I've tried so far are painful at the gore

    • Prettyncharmeuse I do like the Office so far, but admittedly I've only tried it on. I don't get a super hard/painful tack at the gore with CHP's, but I definitely do with PL's.

    Didn't fit

My shape: Medium wide, even fulness, tall roots, firm.

I was very pleased with this bra when I took it out of the box: The material looks really nice and shiny, and it's super soft against the skin. The finishing includes black trimmings and many nice details and is superb overall.

However, CHP Office is a fit desaster.
It runs small in the cups (1/2-1 cups imho) and is very open on top. Don't get me wrong: I usually prefer bras that are open on top, due to my tall roots and upper fulness, but it seems like the curvature of the cups does not follow the natural shape of the ... boobs at all.
When I tried it on, I got quadboob. At the same time, the rim was sticking out and created an odd, boxy shape under a shirt. I was not pleased.
The Ewa Michalak Chp Red Wine I ordered a few months ago (same size!) fits just perfectly, is a pleasure to wear, and nearly invisible under a shirt.

This really is a thing with Ewa Michalak: Every order is a grab bag, and you never know what you get.

    Didn't fit

So, I've gained some weight - now at about 139, vs earlier fittings around 125-130lbs, this fits ok, but only with an extender. With an extender, the band and cup apex/height are perfect, although I could still use some more projection in the bottom of the cups. Based on this current fit assessment, I'm thinking an Ewa Michalak CHP at about a 70FF is probably a better bet (same cup width/height/wire length, longer band, maaaaybe slightly larger cup volume?). The bra is super cute and will totally stay a bedroom bra for now with the extender (w/extender: unstretched band 25", stretched band 34"), as it easily matches many different brands' versions of lacy black bottoms, and gives my super-FOB & center-full breasts a gorgeous cakes-on-a-plate effect with the extender.

Very projected, the satin is more muted in person - but not any less good.
As with my Arlekin (the more recent pinstripe one), Myszka, and I think one other Ewa bra, some of the eyes on the closure are defective on the last 2 columns. An extender on the inner eye closures that do hold up to wear is a simple work around, but I expect better from Ewa Michalak.

So... the gore is too tall and too wide for what I like. The color is super ugly in my opinion, but it works, so I'm not complaining. After wearing it all day, my ribs were hurting from the wires being really really firm. But I was really happy with the shape it gave! The straps weren't super stretchy, a plus for me. The band is very stretchy though. It would probably fit a larger ribcage than mine because of this.
